This is based off Avatar: The Last Air Bender. But, this isn't taking place during Aang's time. It's set three generations of Avatars later, when the Avatar is a fire bender. I just want to note one thing, even though it's been like.... 150 years after Aang's time, technology and everything are still the same.... So.... yeah. That's it.

The four nations have been at peace for many years after the Fire Nation's attack on the rest of the world. Treaties were signed and the nations could be safe again. The Avatar line continued, keeping the world safe.

Then it was the Fire Nation's turn to spit up an Avatar. And so it did. Zura, the son of the Fire Lord. Zura was the only child of the Fire Lord Zheai, and he thought he was lucky to have such an amazing father.

Close to his sixteenth birthday, the Ambassador of the Northern Water tribe came to visit and celebrate Zura's birthday. With them they brought their sixteen year old daughter, Yuki, a water bender. They became friends fast.

But friendships between different nations are hard to keep. Zheai decided that the world should bow down to him and that he was going to start a war with them if they wouldn't. It didn't help that the king of Omashu was thinking the same thing.

Now, no one knew yet about Zura being the Avatar. So on his birthday, the priests of the Fire Nation announced the news. Zura was praised and was told he had to get ready to leave to learn the elements. But, Zura's father wasn't happy. No, Zheai was quite the opposite. Driven by power and madness, he wanted his son dead. But, Zura over heard these plans and began preparations to leave.

Also, Zheai accused Yuki's family of treason and executed he parents. Now the Fire Lord has to orders going on; Kill his son and kill the water bending girl. But these two had different plans. They ran away together, escaping Zheai's wrath.

Now the two are on the run, looking for benders to teach Zura what he need to know and escape the Fire Nation's army as well as the Earth Kingdom, who wants Zura to fight only for them.

Can Zura make it? Can Zura really learn all four elements and stop four different nation from killing each other off?

Past: Yuki grew up in the Northern Water Tribe, as the Ambassador's daughter. This made life hard for Yuki. A lot of the time her parents weren't home, and when they were, they didn't pay much attention to her. She grew up not knowing her parents well. Then, when she found out they were going to the Fire Nation for the prince's party, she asked to go as her own present. They excepted. Now Yuki is helping Zura train in water bending.

Personality: Her personality is a complex topic. She strives to be noticed, but she doesn't want to be too conspicuous. Sarcasm, she takes either way depending on how she's feeling. If she's angry enough she'll bash someone's head in with a rock. She delightful with animals though.
Past: Her mother and father were very strict on surpressing her bending abilities, but soon she was thrown out for not containing it. Her father gave her miniscule supplies when she left, and she's never been back to Omashu since. She was 4 when she was banished by her family.

Personality: The quiet type, can be a ruthless fighter, he tends to be silent around mosts, usually the first to jump into fights, caring of people he considers 'close', tends to ignore what people tell him unless he finds it important or interesting
Past: he lived a normal life with his family, joining the army at the age of 17 and quickly becoming one of the higher ranking anti cavalry soldiers. After the war ended he simply went back to living a normal life, well as normal as his could be
Appearance: Jeschi, like that except his hair is black. He wears a red short sleeved tunic, with a dark orange kimono underneath and a black vest on top of it all. A dark red hakama and wooden sandles. He is quiet good with his no-dachi.

Personality: tends to work alone, hates the fire nation, he tends to be friendly, though a lot more friendly with girls. He secretly hates himself for not seeking immediate revenge for his family.
Past: his village was attacked when he was young. He fled with his family, but they were tracked down. In the end he had gotten away with the friends of his family. He had learned of his rock bending abilities and trained hard to perfect them. He succeeded, only to find that the war had ended months before. He holds a grudge against fire benders and fire nation.
Appearance: medium length blonde hair, a dark grey headband covering his heas and forehead, his bangs over top of it and the back of his hair overtop. He has green eyes, wearing a green tunic with a tan vest, with black trim, overtop. He wears tighter fitting, yet still somewhat baggy, dark green hakama and wooden sandles.

Personality: Very quiet. Talks when necissary, but can sometimes be stubborn. But she can be very talkitive and friendly around her friends.

Past: Despite her personality, her past was depressing. All she can remember is her small hometown in flames and her parents being dead right in front of her eyes. This happened when she was 7. Ember then began travelling around the Fire Nation, and is now an expert fire-bender. When she was 10, she found a wolf puppy on the streets and named it Sara.

Appearence: Blue eyes, shoulder-length black hair, with her bangs usually in her eyes. She is normally seen wearing a black cloak with a hood up that covers some of her face. In battle she wears Fire Nation armor and ties her hair in a ponytail.

Personality: Very brave and loyal to Ember, but is curious and doesn't trust strangers.

Past: Her mother abandoned her when she was a wolf puppy, and was found on the streets by Ember soom later. She was trained to fight and can fight very well.

Personality: She's very kind hearted, can warm up to anyone, She acts like a mother hen when it comes to her friends and family, Protective and supportive of most people.
Past: She grew up traveling a lot, seeing all the different elements and different ways they're used. She was taught to use her Air bending to help her swords men ship and to use it for soothing the enemy into a lull. She was trained to be a bodyguard of her last remaining people but fled in search of the avatar, hoping to find one in her lifetime.

~Nasuki~


Running. She was running through bushes, undergrowth, getting cut by tree branches, everything. She jumped up and launched herself over the trees, looking around.
A few bursts of air came out of the trees aimed at her, but she already started to fall.
She softened her landing and started to run again. "This is Fruitless Nasuki! You cannot escape your past!" A voice called after her, she kept running, not bothering to look back. The ones trailing after her were her husband and brother, trying in hopes to stop her. She cried and ran, coming to a stop at the edge of a cliff. She turned and held out her blade, unsheathed. Her husband had ran out first and ran right into it, Pushing them both over the edge. She pulled her sword out and kissed him on the forehead. "I will always love you, I just wish you hadn't trailed me." She smiled, bursting into tears before hitting the water.

~Cough~

She woke up and coughed, getting the sand and water out of her lungs, after a few minutes of hacking she looked around, she was by herself. She was finally free, but had no idea where she was. "Rest in piece, my love." She got up and started a slow limping to a path....

Past: Tsumino used to be in the army until one day a group of rogue fire benders attacked a village. His squad went to help the village. They succeed, but Tsumino lost an eye and arm (left side). He was told to leave the army, which he did. For awhile after, he taught earth bending to children, but soon tired of that. Now he travels the world as one of the most amazing Earth benders of his time.

Past: When Mei Ying had discovered she could bend, she would stay up night and day without rest to make her father pround. A few years before, her father had died of an illness; it had shattered her. Everything she thought was how she would honour him to the best of her abilities. When she was thirteen, she had left to the Earth Kingdom to explore the land, and met Kyriin.

Personality: Calm, easy going. Seems to have time for everything and nothing at the same time. Has a soft spot for children. Wary of different cultures; it was the way he was brought up
Past: Kyriin had grown apart from most of his culture due to something 'unforgivable' his grandfather had done. He had never learned what it was. His family taught him to tinker with objects, and Kyriin had soon became an inventor. He never recieved his arrow tattoos due to never living with his culture. At sixteen, he went to the Earth Kingdom to show off and hopefully sell some of his inventions, and also try to heal the weak and injured. It didn't go well, and he became lost and confused, wandering around in the thick forests. He stumbled over Mei Ying, asleep on the ground, and she showed him the way out. The had been companions ever since.

I sighed as I walked over to Zura. His had just started a fire while I had gone to get us food. We had decided that I would be safer for me to get food, since the whole Fire Nation knew who he was now. I sat down beside him. "Well, I got us some fruit. Which means," I said, "We have rice, fruit and a little bit of meat. I'll probably have to go buy more soon." I looked at him to see his expression.

Jeschi:

I was walking through the streets of the village, my no-dachi on my back. I kept my eyes peeled, hoping that I'd atleast find something to keep me busy for awhile. After the war I had lost my job and now I really needed one.
"Hm.... maybe security..... "I thought to myself as I walked.

Reza:

I stalked lazily along the path in the forest. I knew there was a village nearby and I really needed to rest and get some food and drink.
"Uhhhg...... its been..... 3...... 4... days....." I groaned, then collapsed on the path.

(just assume they're all near the village the large number of characters are in)

-Kyriin-
I handed a man his meat, collecting the golden coins before someone could steal them. I had to resort to being employed by an inn keeper. There was no doubt felons, bandits, and other terrible people came here often; a mix of blood and dirt on the floors, drunken singing, and gambling taking place before my eyes.

I shook my head as a large man was shoo'ed off of the property for trying to sneak a chair out of the inn. I carried some dishes to another room where Mei Ying was washing them, using her bending skills to make it easier. I knew this wasn't a proper place for her to be, but it was the only place that would hire.

"How's it holding?" I asked, dumping the dishes into the water.

She flicked a quick, silent thumbs up before moving her wrist in a fluid movement, immeadiantly showering the filthy plates with soapy water. "I'm not complaining, but I think we need to get out of here as soon as we can. One of the men outside were being inappropriate towards me."

I sighed and nodded, drying off a dish with a rag.

~Nasuki~


She stumbled out into a little clearing, overlooking a town. She stopped and sat down to rest a little bit. "Damn, why did they make a town so far away from the beach." She whispered, rubbing her sore leg. She froze up when she heard a voice. she got up as quietly as she could and moved over, hiding behind a tree and stilling the air around her. "to go buy more soon." She didn't move and took slow, long breaths so that she wasn't making a sound. 'I wonder who would be out in a forest like this.....'

~Zura~
I sighed some as she sat down beside me. I didn't feel like getting angry right now, even though we didn't have much food and no place to stay. "Alright Yuki..." I sighed once more, then looked over at her.

~Meiyo~
I was playing around a dry river bed, playing with my bending abilities, throwing rocks at trees and small animals. Soon I climbed out and dusted off my green coat and pants. "That was fun." I sighed happily and started on my way. Don't ask me where I was going cause I couldn't tell you!

-Mei Ying-
"Alright, my shift is done." I said, splashing one last cup. Kyriin still had a little while to go, and hour or two, maybe, before he could leave. We both worked to raise money to buy our own shop, me taking one shift while Kyriin took two.

Kyriin nodded, and I quickly escaped outside before some pervert took notice of me.

Today it was warm, and ideal for practicing. I ran, leaping over dead, fell trees and large stones set in the ground. Branches scratched my arms and whipped at my hair, but I kept running...

...Until I noticed a man, collapsed on the ground. I fell to my knees, shaking his shoulder. "Sir! Are you okay?! Uhmm... aww. What do I do? Kyriin can heal... Sir! I'll be right back, err. I would say don't move, but it tooks like you got that down."

I sprinted out of the forest, looking for Kyriin.

-Kyriin-
"I wanta bowl o' meat, and some uhh um. Some beverage like uhh alcohol. And uhh --"

"Kyriin! Come here, quickly!" I looked up, hearing Mei Ying's voice. She pushed the ordering man out of the way and grabbed my arm. "There's some guy out there, I don't know who he is, but he's hurt. I had to get you so c'mon!" She began pulling me to the direction of the door.

"WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?!" Our boss screamed. "YOU LEAVE THIS BUILDING AND YOU'RE FIRED!"

I ran out, this time pulling Mei Ying with me.

Reza:

I closed my eye's, still laying in the dirt path. I winced as I felt the hunger pains. I sighed and knew that there was most likely no one coming to help me.
"Maybe.... I can just rest for afew momments...." I mummbled.

Jeschi:

I saw ahead of me a woman dragging a man out of a building. I also heard some yelling in the background. I approached them, abit curious.

-Mei Ying-
I continued to practically drag Kyriin after me, although he seemed to be following on his own. I felt bad for getting us fired, but someone was in trouble, and he couldn't wait for Kyriin to finish his shift. I bit my lip. What if we didn't get there in time and someone had hurt him even further? A million different thoughts encirled my head, and only then I noticed Kyriin had be trying to speak with me.

"Someone's looking at us, probably thinking you're crazy for pulling me around so much." Kyriin whispered.

I turned around. "What? Where...?"

He flicked his eyes into the direction of a man who was indeed wacthing us, before he started to advance toward us.

~Yuki~

"Zura... Are you okay?" I asked. I but my hand of his forehead to check his temperature, even though I knew what was wrong. Ever since we had left the palace, he hadn't been as loud as he was there.

~Zura~
I watched her place her hand on my head. Her hand felt so cold, I don't know why, and my head has been throbbing since we had left the palace. I started to wonder if I was coming down with something bad. Though Yuki was always good with medicine so I'd just let her decide.

Jeschi:

"Hey!" I shouted to them.
Right now I had no clue what was going on, I was going to assume it was some sort of kidnapping but it wasn't.

Reza:

I groaned and rested for another few momments, then slowly got up with the aid of some rock bending. I had to continue onto the village and get something to eat immediatly.

-Kyriin-
"Hey!"

Mei Ying sighed, "what does he want?"

I shrugged, straightened up and faced the man. "Excuse me?" I asked politely. I noticed Mei Ying tapping her foot, muttering that we needed to go.

I heard her scoff. "Look, you talk to this guy. I'll see if I can help the injured guy until you arrive, okay?" I nodded, and she ran off.

She sighed and moved out of the bush, into the clearing and stopping to brush herself off. "Excuse me, but why would two young ones like yourselfs be out in the wilderness when theres a town nearby?" She asked, crossing her arms and looking in the direction of the town. She had seen little bits of civilization along the road she had traveled and couldn't figure out why two teenagers would be out in the forest.

-Mei Ying-
I kept running, dodging ever plant that whipped at me, I had something to do, and I couldn't let anyone else down. Never again. I jumped over a dead tree in the middle of the narrow path. My sides heaved from sprinting so fast, and my throat was beginning to dry.

Finally I seen him. He was getting up, using earth bending. I bit my pinky nail and took a step forward. "Sir? Ar- are you alright?"

Jeschi:

"Everything okay?" I asked.
I was still curious of the situation, believing it might have been a kidnapping. Really though, I was just hoping for some entertainment.

Reza:

I looked at the girl addressing me and shook my head.
"Hungry, tired, in some pain..... lost..." I said.
I got hit by a large jolt of hunger pains and winced.

-Mei Ying-
I ran up to the man and supported him by the arm. "Let me help you, I know the way to the village. It's not too far off, and I know a place for you to eat."

-Kyriin-
"Everything okay?"

I shrugged. "I honestly don't know. My friend and I were supposed to help someone, but she, as you saw, had to go alone." I paused. "I need to go... Maybe you could help, she was vague when she said how the man was injured."

I took a look at the man, he had a pretty good build, and I suddenly felt insignifigant compared to him. He was also fire nation while I was considered an air nomad. Not the best clash of cultures, but it would have to do for now.

~Yuki~

"Well, you have a bit a of fever, but we have been walking for a few day." I said. I sat back on my feet and looked at him. "I know this is a crazy idea, but we need to get you to an inn. I don't think it'll be smart for you to stay outside tonight." I reached over and took his hand. "Trust me. We'll be fine. What do you say?"

~Zura~
I held her hand softly. "I trust you Yuki. We can go to an inn..." I trusted Yuki to take care of me, besides, I can't stand another night outside. I needed a bed for the sores on my back, which she's already aware of.

I smiled at him then turned quickly when I heard talking. "Oh.... Um.... We're just waiting for our parents. We're having a camping trip." I said quickly, smiling at the stranger. "Um... Who are you?"

She looked at the female and sighed. "My name is Nasuki Kanashimii, of the air. I'm looking for the avatar because there aren't many of my people left, so I was hoping to teach him Air bending. I had heard that the Fire country had made the avatar this time so I came here." She told, Leaning against a tree and looking around. She rubbed her tired eyes and yawned. "I think I'll wait for your parents so nothing happens too you." She said, Closing her eyes and resting.

~Zura~
I glanced at Yuki and grimanced. It's great she wants to teach me air bending, but I'd rather not have it known that I was the avatar. I silently plead Yuki to see if we could leave, since she also knew what I wanted to keep a secret.

~Yuki~

"Oh. Okay." I said. I looked at Zura and saw he was paling slightly. I started to get worried. I knew that soon, if Zura didn't get to the inn, he would go all princely. "Um... My friend and I need to get to the inn, his not feeling well. I was going to leave a note here for our parents." I said, smiling at Nasuki. "So you don't have to wait for our parents."

She smiled at the girl 'they're hiding something, but I need to find an inn anyway. Might as well get them to bust a gut while I'm at it' "Well, since your going into town, may I come with you? I don't know the land here and I'm afraid I might get lost around here." She smiled politely before quickly sweeping the grounds with her eyes. 'they is no evidence of any camp here. They aren't with their parents either, and they don't look related.'
