I've wondered about this for a long time.
First, I loved Avril Lavigne ever since she came in the media and I didn't like her new change because I haven't heard 'The Best Damn Thing' album yet. Let me explain why I didn't like her new look:

a) I thought she was different from every other singer; she was unique
b) Not only that, her music was so original (albums 'Let Go' and 'Under My Skin')
c) Now that she had changed her look, her music changed as well to the typical girly girl act

BUT! That was before I actually heard the songs from 'The Best Damn Thing'. Now that I have... I don't know. I made a poll to see how many people do or don't like her. You either want her like that or you want her to change back. And there is an alternate choice if you liked her before and right now.

I picked both.

Still as much as a n00b as ever, that's what she is. :/

Typical? That's the complete opposite of the Before Avril. Avril Lavigne had a unique voice, awesome style and original music she had written herself (and I think she had help from her guy friends).

Don't like Avril,she's a toe rag. I read this article on tv hosts worst interviews and someone said she was their worst interview because she seemed vague and didn't have anything intelligent to say and she went on to speak about the many ways of peeling an avacado.

Nope, here in Mexico there's a teenager that sings just like her. You want autenticity? Shakira is, Amy Lee is, Norah Jones is, Regina Spektor is...Avril is a total poser.
