Title: Shiruva Asashin
Description: An Inu-assassin tale

iRNrevrSS - May 4, 2008 08:15 PM (GMT)
I wrote this a couple months back, I have it pretty much complete...minus editing the crap out of each chapter. I know it is difficult for a lot of us to keep up with all of ongoing stories and the new/old ones that grace our eyes also. I’m not saying I won’t post if no-one replies or anything like that. I’m just curious if anyone is even interested in my story. So if you like it... let me know and I will post the first chapter.

There will be a few new characters introduced into this story as well. I will do a small biography on all of them as they begin to appear. Also there will be a lot of Chinese in this story also. So there will be a key to refer to as it is needed.

Disclaimer: The property of InuYasha belongs to that of Rumiko Takahashi. I own this story and the characters that I made up within it. However...if you’re interested in buying this story, Rumiko, we can talk...or you can just P.M. me...would make a great fifth movie. hehe.

I thought that i would also let you all know that the title of this story translates to; Silver Assassin...I edited this for the new readers, and will post it again in my new updates...Silver Assassin...Thnx Aiko

Shiruva Asashin

Prologue:

It’s been over a year since Naraku’s death. The shikon jewel shard had been restored and taken with Kikyo when her body was ritually set afire by InuYasha. A formality the two had agreed upon going into that last conflict with Naraku. This very intimate passage between Kikyo and InuYasha had marked another chapter in the book of betrayal Kagome had penned from first laying eyes on the two coiled in an embrace. Again the hanyou found himself turning to his first love, over the one who could only love him.

All of their success came at a heavy price. Especially damaging to the young love attempting to spread its wings among the group.

Miroku had nearly spent two months with the group after what they now fondly refer to as “the showdown” with Naraku. His wind tunnel curse a distant memory, still one he seems to reflect on continually. He had struggled with all his recent losses, the most painful one being Sango's loss of interest in him entirely. Miroku had pushed her to the edge with his persistent proddings, inevitably sabotaging any chance of a future with the beautiful slayer.

Miroku had decided to say goodbye to his friends, and make his journey back to his temple. His departure started the apprehensive feelings, the feeling of the inevitable that waxed and waned between the seemingly inseparable links of chain Miroku had grown to love like family.

The remaining members have spent most of the summer traveling around the calm and secured countryside. They’ve become more like dignitaries, met with banquets and festivals in there honor. Nothing like the tempest of battle they’ve all become so used to, and a far cry from slaying the evil blight of Naraku. Each member deals with the decline in action in different ways. But for InuYasha all the praise and banquets do nothing to settle the uneasy feeling that his friends will all be gone, some of them he may never see again.

InuYasha has spent his entire life ultimately on a singular quest. Now he struggles internally with all the loss. Kikyo is gone, as well as the shikon jewel. His one chance to become a full demon, vanquished to the other world in Kikyo’s grasp. He no longer desires to achieve a higher distinction. All of the questions continually cast him into thought. The befuddled hanyou drifts back and forth between the thoughts of his ascendancy, and the concerns of his friends. He watched as his party slowly drifted apart, the indecision of their future was evident in all of their eyes. Even the girl whom he had made a promise to protect has matured, and had now become far less dependant on him.

InuYasha must now deal with the fact that when she crosses over the next time. It may be for the last time.

Kagome had fulfilled her ancestral prophecy, her priestess abilities had become more evident since Kikyo’s second demise. She felt very mixed about her new powers, not knowing if there was a future for her and her one true love, InuYasha?

Kagome's mother had told her that she could spend the summer with her friends in the feudal era, but when school was to start in the fall she must put all her focus towards her studies. No more escapades with half-demons and priestesses, Naraku was now a memory and she didn’t feel the need to have her daughter roaming around the other side of time. Ms. Higurashi had put her foot down, Kagome was to resume the life of a typical teen. When she returned from the past, they would seal the well in a beautiful family ceremony. An intervention of sorts to help the confused teen turn the page on a very emotional chapter of her young life.

It is really good. What will happen to Kagome and the others??? Please update!!!

ryoko kagome - May 4, 2008 10:48 PM (GMT)
Bravo, I like! This is so emotional it's hard to take. Sad that Miroku left the way he did and that InuYasha is on his way to being a loner again. I wonder about Sango, Kohaku and Shippou... what are they ever to do now without the rest of the gang? It tugs at the heartstrings - you really know how to convey characters and mood. Some minor spelling/punctuation errors but otherwise you're on a roll. Update soon!

iRNrevrSS - May 5, 2008 02:06 AM (GMT)
Thank you both...well shezu i guess reading further may answer your question. hehe... Look for an update very soon...tomorrow sounds good to me.

thanks again...I kinda like it so far :clapping:

Okay, here is the first chapter. I wanted to give a short break down, but you may read for yourself. I hope you all can forgive me for what I did to everyones favorite group of do-gooders. This is a story of InuYasha, and how he deals with what happens after Naraku's demise. So chapter 2 will set in motion his new path...

----->>>>Chapter I

InuYasha sat with legs crossed, his hands tucked deep into the wide sleeves of his kimono. Soaking in the quiet serenity of the time and place of that moment, he watches as the summer sun makes its way lower in the sky. Knowing that this will be the last time he may ever look upon a setting sun with the same eyes ever again. The girl who came from another time determined to win his heart, was the reincarnation of his first love. Kagomes' actions of breaking Kikyo's fifty year old curse set in motion their whole epic journey, their trip that was now fading like the setting sun.

“InuYasha?” a soft, well placed voice spills from the lofty sixteen year old. Kagomes' dressed in her formal priestess attire, something she had grown more accustomed to over the past few months.

“Huh...?" InuYasha turns his golden eyes glistening in the setting sun to the girl who changed everything when she pulled that arrow from his chest. “Kagome...?” His voice soft, and attempting to hide his mourning.

In the fading light he could swear he was looking at the ghostly image of Kikyo. Instead, it was that girl, the only thing that had meaning to him anymore. Now she’s going leave him, and he never thought he could feel more alone.

“I think Ill go and get ready…” She pauses as if she could taste his anguish in the air. “InuYasha...? Are you going to be alright with all this when I leave? Her questioning breaks him from him from his contemplation, brining their eyes to a lustful gaze. “You know...you haven’t really talked to me much in the last few days.”

“Wha...!?" He snaps at her in a mild shock. "What are ya sayin...of course I’ll be alright, what’d ya think... I’m just gonna unravel cus’ you aint here.” His bark didn't seem to have its typical bite, there was something noticeably different in his subdued inflection.

“I’m not sure about you, but I’m scared about what will happen when I cross over this time..." Toiling with the seams on her sleeves, she shyly moves towards her hearts desire."InuYasha...? I don’t want this to be the last time we ever...I cant even say it InuYasha...Im affraid we'll never see each other again.” She bends down to the grassy bluff, kneeling next the paltry hanyou. Placing her quivering right hand on his bicep, leaning in slightly she asks him for one last favor.

“Will you hold me InuYasha?” His hand reaches for hers, welcoming her to his form, enveloping them in warmth that cast’s all there worries aside. That moment was everything for the both of them. All the tension and apprehension were washed clean in this one blissful embrace. Kagome could only dream about how it could have been different if InuYasha had been this soft and loving the whole time. Her thoughts drift to place where they are forever locked in that moment, even if for only a short time, that embrace would feel like a lifetime.

“Well I’ve wanted to ask you for a while now InuYasha...? What are you going to do now?” As she coils her fingers up in his sleeves, her head cradled in his arms. She didn’t care what his answer was or whether he even answered it. As long this entwine could last for a thousand more sunsets.

“I don’t know Kagome, I think about all that stuff I said about becoming a full demon... It all seems so far out of reach, even if I had the chance...” He pulls gently at the ends of Kagome’s long black hair. “I just can’t believe that it's all ending...Ending like this.” InuYasha’s voice falls to a soft whisper.

“I know I can’t hang around here though...I gotta get away from this place for a while. I just need to take my mind off of everything I guess.” His chest rises against Kagomes head as he quietly draws a heavy breath, exhaling with an equaled sigh. “Sango, Shippou and her brother have started their lives over... It’s like we all have to start over again Kagome.” A silence falls between the two lost in a love that time would no longer allow.

“Miroku’s gone for good...and that just leaves me... So I guess I’m gonna head north an just try an get lost for a while.” The dog-eared hanyou's attempt to seem optimistic about what was next for him, draws Kagome's concern deeper into their coil.

“InuYasha you know that I will worry about you don’t you?” The lanky teen unfurls from the soft embrace of his fire red robe. She turns to stare into his golden shimmering eyes, placing her hands into his she squeezes gently, staring at him with a pleading expression. “I...I just want you to be safe...Okay.” Stumbling through her words, not sure of what to say. Though she knew it wasn't what her heart was telling her to say.

The two spend another few minutes just enjoying their company before they slowly meander back towards Kaede’s village. His hand wrapped firmly around hers, both of them cherishing what may be a last look, a last touch, for the last time. This was how it would all come to an end. It didn’t seem like it was real, looking back it all happened so quick. Like a blink of an eye, their chance together was at a close. All of their friends gone, now it was time for them to uncouple this surreal bond. Kagome would step through that ethereal passage once again, this time it had a true feeling of finality.

I take it that it tugged at your heart a little there huh? I was emotional while writing it also... I dont like the sound of Kagome and Inuyasha not being together either. Like what I wrote at the end of this chapter..."this one had a true feeling of finality." This may be the last time they ever see each other again...???

Oh and Sesshoumaru...lets just say that the best character in all of the manga and the series could not stay out of any of my stories...hehe you will have to wait a bit though.

And thank you for reading, the next chapter will unfold my design a little further. Enjoy.

Sesh is, like Roland Deschain good, he's so awesome. Like I've said before, you characterization is great and the dialogue true to the characters. I can't read this chapter without bawling like a baby or, more accurately, the first time I watched Sophie's Choice... anyway, I'm rambling again. Keep up the excellent work! :cheer: :victory:

-------->>>>Chapter II

Two months have past since the last of the group had been together. InuYasha made his way up the west coast, trying his best to keep a low profile. Not wanting any recognition, he had quite enough of that over the past six months. He did manage to find some use for his mighty fang the Tessaiga. Skirmishes here and there, but nothing like he had grown accustomed to. His traversing of the west coast had brought him through many of the smaller towns of the territory. Most of these villages have not had the honor of distinguishing him and his friends for their heroic efforts. He would do his best to skirt those particular towns, but as his disorienting journey crawls towards Niigata, something in the air catches his acute olfactory.

Prevailing winds from the north carried a peculiar scent; InuYasha could tell that what ever this was, it certainly wasn’t indigenous to his lands. This unfamiliar odor piques the lonely half-demon’s curiosity. InuYasha need not worry about protecting his friends any longer. He could now fight in the manner he would control, a reckless, and heedless approach, without the concerns of his friends. InuYasha could now throw his agressions onto the field of combat for all his enemies to fear.

InuYasha raced his way up a long country road, every step biting into the tightly packed gravel, his calloused bare feet launching him from one bounding step to the next.

Off in the distance he could just make out the silhouette of a large estate. Uneasiness began to creep over him. Each step towards the castle grounds compounds the agitated apprehension building in his belly. His right hand now clasped ever tighter around the hilt of the Tessaiga, guiding the sheathed blade in accordance to his promenade.

Nearing the grounds of the estate, InuYasha surveys a formidable wall encompassing a multi-leveled main house. Surrounding the large dwelling are several smaller commons, InuYasha knows his time won’t be wasted searching there. His full attention is narrowly focused on the main house. his sense are afire with the stench of a power he hasn't felt since Naraku. He sizes up the perimeter fortification, and with one impertinent push, the sinewy hanyou leaps effortlessly clear of the obstruction.

InuYasha flashes across a well manicured garden oasis, stirring the few fallen leaves, and flower petals that have made their final break. His approach to the large double swinging doors is met with an overwhelming sense of aversion. InuYasha digs his heels into the ground, bringing his advance to an abrupt halt. His eyes leer towards the opulent opening, sensing for the first time that he may be in over his head.

InuYasha gnashes his teeth as the thoughts of his past creep into his mind. He’s here now, alone. No one else to protect. His apprehension, quickly turning into anger, how could these thoughts be allowed to enter into his judgment? His body shudders as he attempts to clear the thoughts of his friends and their past.

Two large wooden doors stand firmly entrenched in the vestibule leading into the three leveled keep. InuYasha’s anger has reached its zenith, drawing the Tessaiga from its sheath. He coils his body, throwing back the fang onto his right shoulder. He charges forward, slamming the other side of his body into and through the entrance. The two doors fling inward, giving way to the authoritative surge let loose by the slender hanyou. Opening into large room ornately decorated with stair cases leading up from both sides of the room.

An eerie orange haze hangs vapidly in the air of the vaulted welcoming room. InuYasha’s senses struggle to recognize what’s looming languidly around him. At first the smell fills his throat, then his lungs. A sense of panic rushes over him when the noxious air is drawn through his nasal passage. Each breath working its way deep into his blood stream, filtering its way throughout his body and into his nervous system. His eyes scan across the room, and make there way to the top of the staircase. Standing alone, bathed in white robes was the source of that earlier odor that brought him to this point.

This ominous figure stands tall at the top of the corridor void of a mouth with ashy white skin, his arms folded and hands hidden from view inside his sleeves. He moves to the banister in a precise motion, drifting over the polished wood floor to the crest of the landing. Sliding his hands out of their cloaked rest, he places them on the rail slowly gripping the wood bracing. This inconsonant auger permeates a very threatening aura, without a mouth to speak; he begins to communicate with the weakening half-demon.

‘I’ve waited for a very long time for this. I certainly hope you won’t fail me?’ His words cut into the dog-demons subconscious like searing claws clamping deeper into his disconcerted mind. ‘What are you waiting for InuYasha? I stand here unarmed, am I not easy prey? Just simply strike me down...’

“What the hell are you doin in my head, no one gets in there but me!” InuYasha turns to square himself, as the menacing form slowly floats down towards him.

“You want it buddy? Here ya go...” InuYasha’s body tenses as his father’s great blade draws over his head, every foe that had fallen to him and his blade, flashes through his head in an instant.

“Wind scar!” Hands clinched, throwing the Tessaiga downwards to the stone floor. His body does not react in a normal manner, strength slowly draining out of his core, the Tessaiga strikes harmlessly at InuYasha’s feet. As InuYasha’s great blade reverts to its harmless form in his loosening grip.

“What’s happening to me? What have you done?” InuYasha finds himself quickly losing his remaining strength, barely able to hold his blade the half-demon slumps into a heap. The room begins to turn on him, spinning around, pinning the hanyou to the floor. It’s all he can do to keep his eyes on the figure as he begins to descend towards the stricken hero.

‘I am Shen-Tzu my son’, his low sinister tone scratches at his every nerve.

‘I can’t tell you how long I’ve waited for you InuYasha. From the very beginning when I deceived your father into falling in love with your mother. All so they would conceive a child. You InuYasha, you see within those veins pumps human blood, your mother’s blood. Her blood bestowed you with a special gift as well my little hanyou friend. A very rare type, one that is the perfect curse when crossed with your father’s great demon class. Yes InuYasha, you are a gift, one for me to make into what I desire.’

InuYasha lies on the floor completely helpless to his situation. If he wasn’t confused before with all the loss, now these new words tearing at him sear into his head pounding at his temples.

“Who are you? What are you...?” InuYasha is kept from going any further.

‘Don’t worry InuYasha, you’ll never have to struggle with petty worries or problems of the heart again. I can’t have you being distracted from what I created you for, now can I.’ As InuYasha crosses over to the boundary between the conscious, and the dark void of nothing. His lasting voice echoes into the dark.
‘I’ am Shen-Tzu my son.'

A brief break down of some new characters and info that is pertinent to the story.
Shen-Tzu- a Chinese a sorcerer, also called a yao-ren
Zhan-shi-The eldest son of Shen-Tzu and his first officer
Bai-yi- Second in command and the younger son
Briefly; this is taking place in feudal China. The current regime ruling China is the Han Dynasty. Shen-Tzu is in cahoots with the Xin family, trying to overthrow the failing Han dynasty. Hopefully I’ve simplified it enough to not cause any confusion.

----->>>>Chapter III

InuYasha awakens in a large chamber that is plainly decorated. His vacant eyes scan the room as he rises from the padded floor. His mind has been white washed, as if every memory had been wiped away leaving an empty canvas. Rising to his feet, InuYasha’s eyes peer towards the facing wall. Hanging on the wall is a fire red kimono draping down next to a mirror. His mind so poisoned he doesn’t even recognize his own sacred garments.

Something pulls him closer to the reflective glass, yet no questions enter his infected mind.

Seeing his entranced reflection in the mirror, his dress is very unusual. He’s regaled in a light enchanted armor that rests over a black and silver outfit trimmed with ornate gold bordering encompassing the cuffs and collar. An elaborate steel mask spans the lower portion of his face from the bridge of his nose down, contouring his jaw line, with a fine chain mesh wrapping around the mask at his neck.

The last item to complete his cabalistic attire, he takes the Tessaiga leaning against his red kimono and adorns it to his belt in its proper place. Taking a last glimpse to align and straighten his new raiment, he then turns to make for the door.

His senses had been dulled to nothing; the mask that covers his face helps to control the hanyou’s innate talents. With his demonic senses being manipulated, the human side of InuYasha is pushed deeper into the crevasses of his demonic side, bringing out the fire red blood in his eyes.

When he enters the main suite, an entire entourage awaits him. Several differently dressed men stand at attention to his arrival. There are two officers, and a handful of dignitaries. InuYasha’s accession into the room brings all the men to a purposeful focus. These men all bear a crest that is as foreign to InuYasha as the faces looking back at the newly transformed outlander.

The group falls into a parade as they make their way to the front courtyard. Their intent is not spoken; yet everyone knows their duties, including InuYasha. Awaiting the group in the turnabout are four horse drawn transports. A lower ranking officer gives a command to the gate guards to open the front gate. The caravan proceeds out then away from the castle grounds, winding slowly down the hilltop panorama.

InuYasha rides in the main carriage, Shen-tzu and his two high ranking officers flank their abstemious Japanese demon. The first officer is Shen-tzu’s eldest son, Zhan shi. Many years of training and studying are evident in his confident deep brown eyes. Bai yi is the second of his two sons and equally as lethal as his brother, but taking his place in the sibling lineage, as well as his military ranking. The remaining two coaches carry the cogs that will be integral to the yao- ren in his attempt at a massive civil uprising. Several Xin officials and dignitaries, along with a small army of soldiers to support the hellion Shen-Tzu is about to release on his homelands. If all goes as planned they will usurp the Han family, and reign in the Xin dynasty in a blood drenched coup.

The valley below is a bustling municipality, outlined with majestic estates, facing a protecting bay front. As the procession meanders from the outlining hillside into the thriving streets, their heading is clear, the capital house of Ninqde. Coming to the opposite side of the city, they pass through an open stretch of land. No homes have mussed this part of the trail. It’s more like a preserve for the indigenous fauna, and wildlife.

At this point InuYasha rises to his feet, and like a shot he’s out the door and out of sight of any armed personnel patrolling the grounds. While the group is met at the gate by four guards, their arrival is expected, and so they pass without dispute. InuYasha hurries through the well kept hillside, keeping his advance unsuspected to anyone. He finds himself a full blooming tree, with a canopy dense enough to conceal his position. InuYasha settles in on the rough bark of a thick branch. What should be a familiar sensation for him has now become a cold, calculated emptiness waiting for the time to release the demon fury boiling under his skin.

The mid-day’s sun makes its way across the sky. For hours now the hanyou’s been waiting, silver-white hair shifts across his eyes as the cool afternoon breeze baths over him in a sublime dance. His mind doesn’t think, not a single reflection back to the days of friends and foes. He does not worry, he shows no impatience. All he knows now is death. When the time comes, that’s what he’ll do, bring death.

The Han dynasty has been reeling for years from continual uprisings and attempts at land and power takeovers. Their ideologies, along with political and economic influence have been fading for decades. Seven Han families had gained heavy influence back in Eastern China. In an attempt to recapture their power hold that the failing Han dynasty had lost to smaller uprisings of local warlords. However the three most eastern families have failed to hold on to their key provinces, and the Xin forces that are converging from the west have captured and secured those districts. A battalion of ten thousand troops now move to converge with Shen-tzu and his men to pinch in from the north and the west. Now just a matter of time before the four remaining houses meet the fury of Shen-Tzu and the Xin master plan.

This massive land grab by elite Han families had laid a heavy burden on the people and the tax base. Farmers and peasants in the region already feeling uneasy about the future of their lands, teeter on the edge of an economic recession brought forth by the Han family’s growing prerogative. The region has never been riper for a change; inciting civil unrest at this point will take a simple ousting of the regional warlord’s, usurping their power and positioning their own Xin dignitary to regulate provinces.

Inside the mansion all of the proceedings have been ritualistically poured over, and the groups have returned to their quarters. They preparing for the dinner feast to be held in their honor later in the day. Shen-Tzu magically alters his appearance, and his two sons dress in formal white robes as to not give any outward signs of their true intentions. They use the guise of diplomats out to welcome in the new political influence. Not the disingenuous engineers of a calculated plan.

*THUD!* Oh my jesus, this is just suspenseful as all get out. My curiosity is piqued to say the least. I have to see an update soon or I'm going to start breaking stuff.
But seriously, the detail of the history and the politics just blows me away. You've apparently done some homework on how to stage an elaborate overthrow in feudal China. And perhaps magically so. Keep up the fantastic work... and update soon :faint:

Hehe...settle down now. No need for violent acts against your furniture, I will be posting the next chapter very soon.

And thank you...Yes there was some study invoved in the plot with this one. These are actual dynasties and their names...Even the time line is relativley close. So bringing InuYasha to China was a matter finding the right families for the time frame.

I hope to post within the next two days...Thanks again

Okay another bit of info on a term in this chapter...
Yin xiong shou: Silver Assassin...or just "xiong shou", which I refer to him as most frequently.
These are the main terms I will use to describe the other characters, so to brief you, here they are again.
Shen-Tzu- is a Chinese a sorcerer, also called a "yao-ren"
Zhan-shi-The eldest son of Shen-Tzu and first officer
Bai-yi- Second in command and the youngest son

*I edited this into the first chapter and will do it here also...In case anyone was wondering what the title translated to...it means...Silver Assassin

------->>>Chapter IV

This day is rapidly closing to dark. As the sun descends behind the mountains, InuYasha’s ears twitch as he leaps from his concealment. Turning for the house he moves hastily to the front gate, every purposeful step digging hard at the grassy field below. His race for the house clears him of the tree line camouflage, revealing his approach. Before he can reach the main gate and halt any warning of his presence, an alarm sounds throughout the compound. This will just mean a greater loss of life. Death the only thing he can comprehend, InuYasha quickly disposes of the four gate guards. Two coiled rips of his claws disembowels the armed men before a strike can be delivered.

InuYasha turns to the iron-gate, with an effortless surge the black and silver form springs over the egress. A formidable corps of fighters assembles to stop his intentions. Twenty five men clutter the courtyard in full military dress, but what stands before them is nothing they have ever seen, nor will they see again. InuYasha draws the Tessiaga from its sheath, that distinctive sound of bone on steel echoes off the front of the house. The magical sound of the fang bursting to its enormous size causes a split second of hesitation in the men. That slight mesmerizing second is all the constrained hanyou needed to cut a path through the men. Lightening fast strikes slash, and tear at them as they’re cut down in mid form.

Gaining access to the interior without resistance, he knows his duty. Dashing from the entryway towards the back of the house, a large hallway stretches to the masters’ quarters. Ten more men fill this corridor with spears set firmly like a wall of deadly blades capable of keeping dozens of men at bay. But InuYasha is not like any man, cruel, unrelenting, and viciously he is taking the lives of men. No looks of concern, no rational thoughts, just do what you’ve come here to do. His blade courses with energy, as he waves the Tessiaga in the direction of the entrenched fighters. Like paper soldiers the men are blown back, then shredded into a fine mist of blood that InuYasha wastes no time in blurring through.

Entering the master chamber he slides to a halt just past the entrance. One hand firmly wrapped around the blade’s hilt, his slouched, heaving body is sure of its destination. He takes but a moment to survey the wall in front of him. In that moment two guards that are tucked against the wall at the entrance, plunge their swords deep into his lower back, both of the men completely running him through. They twist them with every ounce of strength in there bodies. The two guardsmen sense of accomplishment quickly changes to fear when they realize the imposer is unfazed by their actions. InuYasha has instead snatched their lives from them in a blink of an eye. His hands covered in blood, holding onto two faintly beating hearts. Dropping them to the floor, he waits as the two men clutching there weapons slowly fall back. One step forward frees’ InuYasha from the bloody entangle.

Grabbing the Tessiaga leaning against his thigh, his blood soaked hands take hold of the sword that his father bequeathed him. The very fang that had protected all of his human friends time after time is now cutting good men down. But that question will never enter his thought process again. His blood red eyes are filled with a poisonous rage as his brow wrinkles, his white hair tangled down onto the face cage that suppresses the old InuYasha and has unleashed this devil killing machine.

He gazes straight ahead to the wall at the back of the room. There‘s a hidden passage, though he doesn’t see it, he knows that its there. Plying at the wall with his weapon, a crack appears then gives way to a secondary safety chamber. The door swings open and looking at InuYasha is small, fat man on bended knee. He begins pleading for his life and the life of his wife and daughter. His attempt to offer the xiong shou his heart’s desires fall on the deaf ears of the red eyed beast measures him for the kill shot. InuYasha turns his blade to his shoulder, and in one move he drops to a knee, twists his body, and slides his fang clean through the bureaucrat’s neck.

His lifeless body falls to the ground in a convulsing heap. The terrified wails of his ten year old daughter and wife rush past the numb hanyou, as he holds his finishing move like sculpted stone statue. InuYasha’s eyes glare down his blade at the two huddled females, trembling at the ferocity staring them down. One second could have been ten minutes; in that surreal flash he knows he has completed his engagement. The xiong shou rises to his feet, and without hesitation, disappears from the house.

Mwahahahahaha! Ultra violence, I like. Keep up the awesome work. May I end this comment with a criminally unoriginal statement:

FLAWLESS

sorry, but you've earned it yet again, hehe.

Well again...Thank you so much.

I have to admit, this story will only get bloodier from here on out...
I felt like taking InuYasha beyond anything his character has done to my knowledge. Its definatley not your typical InuYasha fanfic, not saying that something of this nature has never been writin about. I just havent read any.

I will post another chapter within the next day or so...Just waiting to go over it with my new workshop friends. So...hehe...You should be seeing it soon.

I know... I promised an update, I've been busy with other things... my aplogies.

I am beginning to think that this may be a little on the harsh side. Shiruva Asashin started off really well...Best reaction I've had to a story yet. That was awesome in its self. But I fear I may have taken this story a little too far for the few that were reading it. (aside from you) I guess I will wait a little bit to see if anyone wants this to continue...Im not pulling a "I wont post till more replies" crap. I just want make sure that i havent mis-led, or grossed anyone out. Since the story turned to to assassin side, and it got violent, it kinda cooled off. People may not have liked the direction I took InuYasha. I will wait and see.

Meanwhile I will continue to work on this and other things that I have going now.

Thank you for reading,...and your wonderful comments Ryoko...I am truely humbled to have such an awesome writer be so interested in my story. Thank you for inspiring me with your comments.

You have a loyal reader in me, IRNrevrSS, I just can not reply all the time.

Please continue when you may.

By the way...

The way the story has turned out so far is not too bad, for what it is worth. ^^

Excellent job, amigo.

You are quite welcome. The material is pretty brutal for the young'uns that often frequent the InuYasha fan fics. With the right people/age group catching on, you'll see more comments like mine and Jostanos'. If it wasn't for the loyal readers I've hooked since Unbound (i.e. you and Volital), which was an admittedly pretty typical, fluffy and super-squishy romance type story, I don't think anyone would be commenting at all on Windcry - by the way, thanks you two for being so kind as to comment like ya do! With the sensitive material, gore and violence, I think I pretty well scared everyone away, hehe. Don't get discouraged though, I'm not. We each have stories to tell and eventually those who enjoy such stories will find us. Just keep pounding out those chapters... or I'm gonna hafta come over there and pound you - ha! Just kidding. Do keep up the good work!

P.S.: I'm humbled that you're humbled

EDIT: Haha, see? Jostanos commented while I was writing my comment saying basically the same thing - keep on keepin on!

Hey now...Cool, thanks for the heads-up you guys. I am close to posting another chapter. Most likely later today, Just some last minute clean ups and a few thousand proof reads.

It's funny what you said about that 'tense' thing volital, I struggle with all my tense, Past and present. Sometimes it rears its head in my writing too...I can just edit that though.

Yeah, I understand im putting InuYasha in a different light than everyone isnt used to. He is also without those familiar friends and faces to guide him, something that can feel very different for the reader. I will give a little tease for those who are interested...We have not seen the last of some the characters that we've all grown to love/hate. I mean come on...somebody's got to rescue him right???

Okay...here is chapter 5 lets see how many more will fall...And I would like to thank all of you readers (Even the guests) that have read my story of InuYasha. Your time is precious and I certainly appreciate you giving my work any bit of it...Thank you all.
I’ll throw the terms up here when they are used frequently in a post.
yin xiong shou: Assassin...or just xiong shou
Shen-Tzu- is the Chinese sorcerer... sorceror's are called; yao-ren

P.S....I wanted to translate the title in my new post..Shiruva Asashin means Silver Assassin...that'll be all

Shiruva Asashin

-------->>>Chapter V

Two days have passed since the governor of Ninqde was murdered. And the word is spreading throughout the southeast of a yin xiong shou who has been possessed by a great power. His terror so fierce, to be caught within his lusting hatred would send your soul straight to hell. Rumors of his fire red eyes, and blood drenched claws swells the legend of the Assassin by the hour. Han warlords in the south begin to reallocate there forces accordingly to the impending threat.

InuYasha hurries across the sun drenched Chinese countryside. His heading is on a southern direction to the cities of Fuzhou, Quanzhou, and Shantou where his deadly instruction is to unfold flawlessly according to the long overdue plan of a yao-ren. Shen-Tzu and the remaining Yin contingency fortify the Ninqde capitol with troops; and an interim governing body. With their forces replenished by the ten thousand troops sweeping across from the east, and proceed to move in behind the wake of destruction InuYasha will cause.

It’s a three day journey for the entranced assassin who makes fast work of the terrain around him. With about a day left he does his best to keep off the main trails, only finding minor resistance scurrying to thwart his advance. He will find his task to be more difficult in the cities that follow. In Fuzhou, they have fortified the region with increased patrols, and the capitol grounds are outfitted with a cannon regiment, and an elite cavalry of the finest officers, who are no strangers to combat. Scouts litter the area looking to give enough of a warning for the artillery to stop him before he can step foot on the main grounds.

Another setting sun marks InuYasha’s first month under the control of the Chinese sorcerer, but he has no concept of this or any passage of time. His programming won’t even allow him to sleep. He doesn’t eat, not as much as a sip of water has crossed his lips. After these past few days of continually pushing to the south, his body has begun to show signs of fatigue. Not that he could recognize his fading strength, and dry sand-paper tongue. The constant confirmation of the gruesome task is a never ending loop in his poisoned mind. The encroaching dark lays a perfect veil for him to make unimpeded progress.

Through the mid-nights waning moon, and on till the first light of day, his push is the same. The new days light shines in InuYasha’s eyes, as his approach is now at the full attention of the Han patrol and their scouts. This might have concerned InuYasha a couple of months ago, when he was a protector of humans. But now his scent is foul with the stench of day’s old decaying blood, human blood. As the blood bath begins once again the small bands of fighters are no challenge, he rips and tears his way through an increasing number of men. A good day is spent wading through skirmishes, as the xiong shou draws in on the city.

InuYasha enters a nearly deserted Fuzhou; the sparse locals flee for their homes as the foreign demon races down the streets. He wastes no time passing block after block. It’s a very large city with many cross streets and confusing turnouts. Somehow he knows which streets to take for the fastest line to the governing house. He bounds down the open market, eerily desolate from its normal buzzing activity. This main street leads right to the edge of the populated section and into the main grounds of the well equipped estate. Waiting for him at the edge of town sits a cavalry of twenty men, prepared to stop this hellion here and now.

They attempt to call him to a stop with a guttural command, realizing almost immediately that their normal fierce mystique would have no effect on his advance. They hold for him to hit the mark that they’ve intended, then turn and break into a full gallop in the opposite direction. Racing back to the house on the long road that rounds the complex, their attempt to trap InuYasha is working thus far. Cannons roar to life as the xiong shou comes into the cannonries sights. InuYasha’s natural demon abilities keep him just in front of the exploding shells. He makes a quick change of course off the main road and makes straight for the house, right into the cannons and more so another turn into their plan.

The cavalry turns and is moving to strike InuYasha’s blind side. The blasts of the cannons stops and a wave of blades and hooves crush in on him. He has been struck by several of the men in the first wave of the cavalry. Now the second is on top him before he can react. Four more blades cut deep into him at various spots. Any chance of a lethal blow would be a million in one shot, having all his vital regions thoroughly protected by the enchanted armor. InuYasha will waste no more time with this, peeling the Tessiaga from its sheath, he strokes and coats the fang with his own blood. Then he jumps straight into the air waving his sword at the reforming horsemen. A red flash of spinning blades sprays from the tessaiga, slicing every last one to the quick.

His leap clears him of the outer wall that had backed the cannon brigade and several squads of men. Landing inside the grounds, more of the same awaits him. It has become a perpetual blood bath that InuYasha’s entranced form has no control over. Clearing paths through the legions with such ease, he storms the house laying waste to all in his opposition. There is nothing to stop this maelstrom of death. But this house holds no luminary; they have already made their escape leading up to the impending danger. Unfortunately their lead would not be enough. No amount of time or distance could keep from the inevitable. Within minutes the xiong shou had made up that time, bounding to the front of the retreating dignitary and his protectors.

Staring at the men on horseback, his boiling red eyes glare deep into the darkest fears of every man looking back at him. The shocked men struggle for their weapons in a moment of aversion. Terror fills them as they watch this magical beast who has adorned the name yin xiong shou, reach back with his amazing blade, sending a deadly blast of wind screaming towards them. InuYasha’s aggression is pushed barbarically into, then through every last man. Leaving no chance for escape or survival, the Tessaiga’s wind scar sweeps away all their fears in an instant. A battered and weary InuYasha stands on the roadway where the torn bodies lay. A variety of wounds litter his body, stabs and slashes that have all taken there toll. Still not enough to keep his programmed death hunt from moving further south.

Shippo: :bigeyescry: Inuyasha.. why? Why are you doing this?

Keh... That isn't the Inuyasha that you knew, Shippo. Some how he's been Ecsorcelled. Bewitched.

:scaryangry: The nerve of that Sorcerer taking over Inuyasha's mind like that. If I were able to I'd Shard spray that sorcerer's hide so much that his decendants wiould think twice about doing anything as rotten as that.

>_> Not very Likely, Sylt, considering that your IatFRY version is 3 years old and you DD version is as old as Shippo.

*in the next room playing checkers with Sylt* Yeah, the author of this fic did, Shrimp. *THWACK* OW! WTH WAS THAT FOR?

:scaryangry: For calling Shippo what Edward Elric is usually called "A shrimp".

Edward Elric: *From the next sound stage over* I HEARD THAT!

Jacrose and Sylt: O_O Oh Shards.

Shippo: :hehe: I'm glad that I'm not part of that.

Edward Elric: *tapping his foot behind Shippo* :scaryangry: As you were saying?

Shippo: O_O GAH! :hehe: Hi... :bigeyescry: They're the ones that called me the name. I'm ususally called "Runt" not "SHrimp".

Edward Elric: Hmmm... I see your point. *cracks knuckles and stretches his arms behind his back* Well... I guess I'll just have to chat with the twosome in the next room won't I?

Shippo: Yep ^^

Jacrose and Sylt: *gulps*

Shippo: *pulls on a cord and a curtain falls behind him blocking not only our view but his too* :hehe: Sorry.. What is going on behind the curtain is too graphic even for me.

Well, here we go...this is bit longer than my other chapters. I don’t want to lead anything in this info tag here. All the characters remain, sans the brief touching of a fabled warrior. Without further ado...I give you the next installment...enjoy.

----------=----------Chapter VI

Around the southern territories of China the tales of the yin xiong shou are growing as fast as InuYasha can eliminate the Han houses of influence. Most of the locals in the Southeast are in favor of the coup de tat wreaking havoc on the waning empire. So the rumors and tales grow ever more extraordinary, the most popular of which is that he is a foreign demon set upon the Han dynasty as bloody curse to a gluttonous empire. All of the embellishments have begun to immortalize the foreign beast in the hearts of the indigenous supporters.

The two remaining families have decided to make their escape to the safety in the east. Han re-enforcements fill in behind them in a last stand to hold their vanishing territory. The Fuzhou region was the strong point for the receding influence, leaving Shantou and Quanzhou in the middle of a squeeze. Although the inevitable will come, they will make sure that the rebel forces feel the fury of a dying empire lashing out with its last hopes. And most assuredly end the blood bath of the foreign butcher set on them by the Xin sorcerer.

Five thousand troops assemble in the valley outside of Quanzhou, ready to face the Xin forces and their enslaved assassin. Those troops will engage after the Han retaliation is let loose on the oncoming army and their wedge breaking scourge. The families have called in their overseas influences to match against the mythical beast cutting his way across their land. His face would be familiar to InuYasha if he wasn’t bound to this affliction. They share many similarities like calling Japan home. Both wield very powerful weapons, and commonality of the lineage that flows in their veins. InuYasha’s half brother Sesshoumaru has been summoned by the Han dynasty to assist in thwarting the bloody coup.

Sesshoumaru has arrived in the country to pay a debt that he has owed the Han family for over one hundred and twenty-five years. His arrearage was formed when the powerful lord had been consumed by a great dragon. Battling the immense creature, Sesshoumaru was bound magically, unable to draw on his natural talents he was swallowed by the beast. The dragon was able to exorcise his powers and use them as his own. One warrior was sent to stop the beast and free the Japanese aristocrat. The Han family called in their greatest defiler of evil and malevolence, Kui bao-shan a legendary warrior who had exceeded Sesshoumaru’s vast experience. He battled for two days to free the Japanese youkai from the dragon’s belly, leaving the younger Sesshoumaru as close to his end as has he had ever been. Qualifying him for a debt of great magnitude to the Han family

Sesshoumaru was curious as to the rumors circulating about the prodigious fiend laying waste the last of the houses of influence. He was said to be from his land and wielding a very formidable sword. This was all too coincidental for him. He had been approached only weeks earlier by InuYasha’s vassal, Myouga. The demon flea needed help finding his master, who had completely disappeared from his senses. This request fell on his deaf ears, but Sesshoumaru could tell that something wasn’t right. No longer did the stench of his half-breed brother waft through the forests and valleys of the western lands of Japan.

Now that familiar malodor that raises the hairs on the back of neck was settling on his tongue. Something was different with his younger sibling’s smell. He carried no smell of human on him, except for that of over a hundred dead men. It was InuYasha and he was in a full demonic state. Sesshoumaru being drawn into the countryside to intercept his brother on his rampage, he can’t help but to try and piece together what could have possessed his brother to travel so far and cause so much carnage. This was not how InuYasha lived his life. Someone has quelled the human compassion, and released the demon fury. No riddle for Sesshoumaru to try and decipher a chance at killing the young hanyou and finally posses the phantom blade he feels should have been bequeathed to him after their fathers’ death.

Calmly advancing in the direction of a certain conflict, Sesshoumaru is bothered by a question seemingly coming from thin air.

” Lord Sesshoumaru what will you do with master InuYasha when you find him?”

Clinging to the tail end of his fur adornment Myouga pleads for civility from the aristocratic assassin. Sesshoumaru barely even acknowledging the presence of the nuisance, looking forward to the north he replies to the flea with a tranquil remark.

“Miouga I’ve allowed you to come this far so you may bear witness to me taking back what is my birth right. And watch as I put an end to your master InuYasha’s life once and for all.”

InuYasha’s servant is completely distraught to the thoughts of Sesshoumaru cutting down his friend and master. He weeps as he flashes to the promise he made to InuYasha’s father to guide and protect his hanyou son. How he has let down the great master. His one son conceived out of love for a human would need all the guidance that could be offered. Myouga desperately tries to convince Sesshoumaru that his father would be disappointed if he goes through with his design. Once again the pleas are like talking to a wall. No choice but for the miniscule attendant to try and find InuYasha before Sesshoumaru’s hatred does.

Hours pass like minutes and the day begins to give into the ensuing darkness. Sesshoumaru comes to bluff that overlooks a shallow valley below. Standing at the opposite side of the valley is a lone figure silhouetted against the orange skies of dusk. There is no doubt in Sesshoumaru’s mind that this is his half brother, and this will be the last time the two of them ever match their skills against one another. Simultaneously they both break for the valley below.

The foot of the valley is a lush field parted by a small river meandering through. Where the two end there charge at the banks on opposing sides.

Myouga had reached InuYasha as he was descending into the valley. What he finds horrifies the cowardly pest. Completely unresponsive to his cries, an obvious transformation has occurred in his masters’ physical appearance as well as his mental state. This was not the master InuYasha who had grown to be a compassionate protector of humans. This demon incarnation was a soulless murderer of men, not caring if it’s right or wrong. Myouga realizes there is no stopping what is about to occur. He can only wish for some form of divine intervention. He would even take the chance of his old friends somehow appearing over the ridge to come their rescue at this point.

For the first time Sesshoumaru can see what has become of his half-breed brother. No longer is he draped in red robes that have been his marker, his black robes with the silver armor are covered in a mixture of his blood and the blood of many others dying in the name of their Emperor. The face cage hides his mouth, but not his expression. A vapid glare pierces deep into Sesshoumaru’s heart. InuYasha’s fire red eyes burning with hatred and want for more blood electrifies the demonic aura radiating from his heaving form. This is all too familiar for Sesshoumaru, remembering the battle with his brother when InuYasha was separated from the Tessaiga and transformed into his full youkai form.

“InuYasha, you do not make decisions on your own, I can smell the hand of another twisting you to his aspirations. It doesn’t matter at this point. I will stop you all from any further bloodshed.” Sesshoumaru calmly utters his last words to his younger sibling.

There is no verbal response from the entranced slayer, just the reaction of the Tessaiga flying from the hip of the transformed demon. In one motion InuYasha leaps skyward thrusting the wind scar from his sword toward Sesshoumaru at the other side of the river bank. Effortlessly Sesshoumaru glides clear of any harm. He’s curious as to how far this possessed version of his brother can push him. InuYasha crashes down with wave after wave of attacks, nothing really ever drawing near Sesshoumaru. This dance of ancient power and supernatural beings is becoming evident in the flashing skies and forests ripping apart to extended lengths.

Sesshoumaru decides to raise the level a bit, throwing a barrage of poison claws at him. Then multiple strikes with his whips of light. None of them have any effect due to the extraordinary armor protecting him from relatively harmless magical attacks. InuYasha retaliates with a seemingly more intense personal attack. Rushing in to cut away at the cagey demon lord, each thrust is matched with a parry from his Toukijin. Stepping through his attacks with the grace of a cherry blossom petal drifting and spinning earthward, Sesshoumaru dances and weaves around InuYasha’s aggressions. He has never pushed him this hard before, his usual approach to these battles is to let him rush in then calmly react to the situation. He now finds this to be a continual effort to stay clear from the rabid fury of his fathers’ fang, and his cursed half brother.

Sesshoumaru strikes at InuYasha, hitting him across chest plate. This creating enough space for him call out his dragon strike from the Toukijin. Swirling energy dances its way towards the laboring dog-demon, dashing and darting tornadoes of green power race to strike him down. Innately InuYasha summons the back-lash wave to block the oncoming surge. A massive collision slams deep into the valley, echoing out in all directions. InuYasha hunches over the Tessaiga as he strains for oxygen, never taking his eyes from the seemingly glowing figure. Sesshoumaru seizing the moment of hesitation reels off another dragon strike.

At the very last moment InuYasha jumps over the onslaught with his bearings firmly set on Sesshoumaru. A steely eyed Sesshoumaru quickly turns the Toukijin at the open target virtually floating down towards him. There will be no back lash to thwart this one. InuYasha takes the shot point blank and is lifted back into the air, like being grabbed by the jaws of a great dragon smashing and tearing at his flesh and bones. His armor being chipped away, as his repulsion backwards to earth is met by Sesshoumaru’s intent to end this now. Before InuYasha even hits the ground another strike from the Toukijin cuts into him, tearing the Tessaiga from his hand hurling it away and into the ground where it reverts to its very ordinary appearance.

InuYasha nearing death is face down on the ground, feebly scratching his way towards Sesshoumaru. The only remaining armor on his shredded body is the face shield that his boiling eyes still peer over with immense hatred. Sesshoumaru moves to his dying sibling, without as much as a word he cruelly plunges his blade through his back and right through his heart, rolling his wrists and turning his blade into InuYasha’s chest. Sesshoumaru can feel the last beats of his diseased heart pound into a final silence. For good measure he twists three more turns, assuring that blood will not pump through his disjoined heart again. Stepping back for a moment to evaluate the levity of the past few minutes, Sesshoumaru calmly turns and disappears north into the darkness.

Shippo: *blinks, stops running, and looks back at Jacrose* Huh? What do you mean?

Think about it for a sec, will ya? If this wizard is powerfull enough to ensorcel Inuyasha, what do you think he'll do to you if you face him alone?

Shippo: *gulps* :hehe: I see your point.

Both: Please update soon, IRNrevr! ^^
