Ok, so this is inspired on a book I have read at least 4 times.
Yes, its THAT good.

I Do not own the characters, or the basic storyline. ok? Geez. Also, I made up a few names. Yea.


Spring 1521


I could hear the buzz of the drum as the crowd gathered around the scaffold. I stood on my tiptoes and tilted my head to the side to get a better veiw of the scaffold and the accused. Standing before the king were my husband of one year, Koga Kamashi, my brother, Sota Higurashi, and our father, Sir Hyouga Higurashi, all looking grave.
The Duke of Buckingham stepped onto the platform and everyone fell silent. This man was close enough to me that I could call him uncle. He was a good man, and very high in the King's favor. So, why was he here?
He had said something concerning the queen, and her inability to bear and heir to the king's throne, which he is not fully settled on yet.
I waited for the King to rise from his nice throne and pardon him. After all, they had been comrades since they were children. He would surely pardon him. Surely.

My Uncle stepped before the king and kissed the rosary. He was bowed deeply before him and all he got from the king was a look. He was heaved up and pushed along until he reached the scaffold.
What is taking the King so long? All he needed to do was rise from his chair and dismiss the charges so we could all go break our fast. Being that I am only 13, I was always hungry.
My uncle stood with such stature as the executioner stood over him, looking grim in his cutoff sleeves and black mask. He bent iber and laid his head on the block, his cheek flat against the wood.
He threw out his arms signaling that the executioner could drop the ax. It dropped. Then again. Then a third time. I gasped and threw my hand over my mouth as his head fell off and into the basket. The executioner picked up his head by his curly locks and showed it to the crowd. A few "Ooo"'s and "Ahhh"s came from the silent crowd.
The king rose from his chair. 'Oh dear' I thought, 'he was too late. This will be embarrassing.' He turned and left, my brother, father, and husband in tow behind him.

The court returned to Westminster in three barges, rowed up the river. Sailors on the shore all removed their hats and bowed as we passed. I was in the second barge, the Queen's barge. I was the queen's youngest and most precious lady in waiting. My mother was sitting near me. In a rare moment of interest, she turned to me and remarked, "You look pale Kagome, are you ill?"
"I never thought he would be executed." I said. "I thought the king would forgive him."
She leaned over so her mouth was at my ear. She whispered just loud enough so that I could hear over the rowers drum. "Then you are a fool," she said shortly. "and a fool to say so. Watch and learn Kagome there is no room for mistakes at court."



Ok, so that is the first chapter.

....................................... I'm trying to think what book you based this off of, but so far, nothing. The whole blood and axe thing realy freakes me out, especially when we are in the middle of a thunderstorm. It's a reeealy good. um... crossover? story fic? oh. IDK.

The book is named The Other Boleyn Girl, written by Philippa Gregory. Its also a major Motion picture, and the DVD comes out June 10th.
Yes, I am obsessed.
I dnt know what type it is. Probably crossover. Oh well.

OOOH! it's on DVD now! I saw a commercial! it kinda went like this:

narrator: The Other Boylen Girl rated PG13 (i think) Now on DVD and blu-ray

So, im sorry it has taken so long to reply on this!! I just haven't had time for much of anything anymore. Oh well.
I will try and start it up again now!!! :] Oh, and to canongal12, I am SOOOOO sorry it took so long to write this and post it!!

Also, I do not own the anime or the book this based on, I do own my original characters though. Unfortunately, There is no way that I will own either of the things that this is based from. :[

Summer 1521

As I looked over the crowd that had gathered, I had begun to think of all that had happened in the last few months, and how "privileged" I had really become.

After the execution, when we had stepped off the boats, I could still feel the stoic look upon my face. I had tried to rid my face of it, but to no avail. To my surprise, my husband had come up behind me, took my hand and placed it in the bend of his arm. He leaned his head closer to mine, and spoke so only I could hear.

"How are you fairing, my dear wife? Your face looks grave." His face only showed some of the pain he felt for me.
I snapped out of my stupor, and used most of my energy to focus on steadying my voice.
"I..I'm fine." I spoke shakily.
His big brown eyes looked into mine, and worry worked its way across his face. He pulled me closer as we walked and made sure that I was steady. When we reached the house, we were to go and make ourselves ready for breakfast.
My husband stopped, therefor stopping me with him. He turned to face me and placed one of his hands under my chin. He kissed my brow, and then my lips, so very softly.
"Let us retire to our room," he sad softly, "you are very weary. I shall inform the queen and king of your illness."
He gave me a wink, and we were off.

He guided me swiftly up the stairs and into our room, where he sat me down on the bed, and made me lie back. He put a tender hand on my head, and made it look as though I had a temperature. I giggled slightly and he shook his head playfully.
He looked into my eyes, and spoke with a booming voice that gave me the slightest headache.
"My dear wife," he said with gusto, "You do not look at all well. How are you?"
His eyes danced with mirth as I replied just as loudly and annoyingly as he did.
"Oh,"-sarcasm laced my every syllable-"I'm sure I will be fine. It was probably nothing major, just a little dizzy from the boat ride."

After our little game of charades, I forced him into letting me go to breakfast. I told him it would probably be better for me if I did eat, considering that I was a young woman, and growing so quickly.

As we walked, I began to think of how drastically my life has changed in the last few months. I had always lived at some court or another, being my family status, but I had never experienced anything better than this. I was lovely, young, and a great dog demon with an excellent bloodline for certain. Also, I had a husband who seemed to love me, and I thought that I could learn to love him too.
He was an honest man, high in the King's favor, and from a very well off family. He was handsome, but failed in comparison to the king, and was nothing but loyal.

When we reached the dining hall, everyone else had already sat down and began eating. They were all engaged in quiet conversation when we opened the door, and the whole room went silent.
It was an awkward silence, and so thick you could cut it with a knife. My face began to burn as I felt all the eyes in the room on me. my husband let go of my arm and we quickly floated to our seats as if nothing had happed. As I took my place next to the queen, she gave me a sideways glance and seemed to question my lack of schedule.
"My apologies, your majesty, I was just not feeling well and my husband took me to our room to make sure I was feeling alright." I said quietly and with disdain.
"Well, how are you feeling, child?" She asked with no certain interest.
"I am very well, Queen Ayame, now that I am in your glorious presence."
She smiled her gracious smile, and turned back to making her husband happy from across the table.
As I began to eat, I could feel peoples eyes boring into me like I was a piece of the sweetmeat in front of me.
One, as was expected, was my husband, Koga. The other was also to be expected, because, to my father, I was nothing more than a sweetmeat that could be used to bribe a hungry man.
The third, though, I had not expected. It was the great king, King Inuyasha. His eyes were on me like white on rice. ((Sorry, I just had to put that!! lol!))
The king was a great Inu Demon, and a very beautiful man at that. His light hair, and bright golden eyes made him stand out in a crowd-as if the excessive amount of people around him and his lavish abundance clothes didn't already do that.
The look of extreme intrigue he gave me made me blush deeply, for I was not used to this kind of attention, nor did I need it. He gave me a courteous smile and nodded his head in acknowledgement. I smiled shyly and tried to hide my face behind my dark raven hair.
This was the beginning of the end for me.

A few days later, my uncle called a family meeting, and required us all be present.
As I sat in the corner, I could see the smirk appear on his face. His voice was as calm as the waves on a gentle shore.

"Kikyo is returning home in a few weeks."
