I didn't see a topic for this, which surprises me, so I wanted to make one.

August Rush is an AMAZING movie! I thought it had one of the best soundtracks ever. And it was extremely touching. I almost cried(Yes, I am capable of crying) when August and his Dad were playing guitars together. There are those two rocking out and they don't even know they're related.

Which makes me want to talk about the kid's playing. Damn, was I jealous when I saw that kid play guitar. I would kill to be able to play like that. It was so cool!

And then the ending almost made me cry. Almost. If they had included a really tearful reunion, which they should have, not the Mom, Dad and Son seeing eachother and being all happy. I mean the parents and kid running to eachother and crying and all that. I would have cried if they put that in, which they should have.

I was also upset they cast Robbin Williams as a jerk in this movie. Robbin Williams is such a funny and nice guy, and they portrayed him as some kind of scum. That ruined my day.

But in the end, this was one of the most fantastic movies I have ever seen.

I really wanted to buy it ONDEMAND because my friend Meggan recommended it whenever I stayed the night at her house. So the next morning I watched a free preview and I got goosebumps because it looked so good. Either my pursasion techniques aren't as good as I though or my parents are just cheapskates, 'cause I can't convince then to buy it. But I REALLY wanna see it!

AHH!! I loved that movie. I watched on a band trip to florida. it made me cry.

i sympathize with you LLTLF =_= i wish i could play guitar period. i suck. im only good at flute and percussion. ^//////////^ but i attempted and fail horridly at guitar

I'd have to say that that was one of the best movies that I have ever seen. It's sooo sad!!! When the little boy and his real dad were playing guitars together, I cried. I pretty much cried through the last half of the movie, especially during the concert. I was afraid that the mom was just going to walk away though but in the end she came back. I have to say that I was a bit mad at the ending though because I wanted to see what happened after they were all together. But hey, it's still an amazing movie. After one of my friends watched that movie, it inspired her to start trying to write music and everything, and she came up with some really awesome music by playing around with the keyboard that her mom bought for her. After watching that movie, I thought that I could try and learn guitar again, but sadly, it's broken and the strings are all broken. I hope I can get it fixed though soon because I still want to learn how to play it. The only thing I can play is keyboard (bass) and flute. lmfao anyways, awesome movie.
