Windcry end
These are the best of my eight or so drawings... I had to scan at kinkos and didn't want to spend a gagillion dollars so I had to limit myself. It probably shows that I have cheap supplies and that I'm still a beginner, but I'm pretty proud of these.
I will get better - still practicing. :D Hee.
EDIT: I realized well after scanning and posting that I messed up Sesshoumaru's pupils in my Windcry drawing. I guess they're not fully round even when not looking into sunlight... oops. I've fixed it in the drawing but it will be a while before I can scan again... oh well.

EDIT #2: I also realize now that I made another error (or two) with the Windcry pic... there's a stripe where there should be blood. I must have forgotten when I went to color it... also fixed.

Thanks... I dunno if you saw my edit to that post but, I messed up Sesh's eyes a little in my illustration >.< oh well. I'll scan/rescan everything on the 16th. I go back to school that day, hee.

I like the first one, the colouring is very nice. I think for the second one, you might need to work on the height difference. I think putting a ruler below the eyes may help you to get them even, if you don't like those guidelines. I really liked the head design for the second one too.

Such a hard critic on yourself. Ah well, I know you will get better cause I have seen your work since we were kids. I know what you are capable of. Your just a little out of practice (isn't anime a little new to you?).....and I know I can't do what you do. You are talented in so many ways. I love your creativity in all that you do. I really look up to you and I believe in your work. Never give up!!!!!

These are awesome drawings. I love your style and Jinxy's outfit is cool. Her hair is beautiful and she really does look like you done in anime. When I saw Windcry I thought, "Wow! Kelli did this? So personal and sensitive." I really like it. Maybe it's just me but it seems a little out of your comfort zone. *applauds*

'Personal and sensitive' out of my comfort zone? Not sure what you mean by that, Euphe, but I feel the illustration really captures the moment. Windcry was a really personal and sensitive story for me - mirrored a lot of my feelings, I think.

Oh yeah and, in response to Naraku.'s comment - the new addition to the sig... well... let's just say I've recently discovered my inner Naraku. Might as well embrace it. :devil:

I think it's the whole kid thing and Kagura breast-feeding....I just thought you were grossed out by that sort of stuff. Sorry if I was wrong. It just wasn't something I pictured you drawing. Oh, and did I mention the kid thing? LOL But it's cool cause it is totally your story Windcry. It paints a vivid picture at the end, and I like it all the same.

When I saw the first one, I was like ZOMG SESSHY-KUN!! and totally spaced on the other two ^_^

Well... since the Windcry picture depicts that particular scene, however inappropriate (or whatever) the display, it is accurate to that situation.

The baby stuff - no, I'm not big on kids in general, but it was the direction the story went. Saku actually gave me the idea in one of her comments on Unbound. I thought, 'You want Sesh and Kagura to have a kid? Fair enough, but they're gonna have a hell of a time getting there!' I'm so evil... :devil:

EDIT: By the way, I didn't take offense to your query. You're totally right to question that. There were several points in Windcry where I made myself a little uncomfortable. I'm trying to get passed that, have to if I ever want to be a real writer.

Nice drawings you have there RK..but there is something wrong in the 3ed one, i think it's sesshy's smile 0_o... but in general i loved them especially the 3ed one cuz it's so sweet
BTW..why is kagura crying..did something happen to the baby???

He's smiling cos he's happy. He developed that ability over the course of Unbound and especially through Windcry.

Kagura is crying because she too is happy... has a lot to do with what Sesshoumaru just said...

Thanks, you guys. Those links are posted in pretty much the order I did the drawings. I think you can tell - I can. I think the last one with Jinxy and Sesshoumaru is a lot better than my first Kagura drawing. I'm still practicing and having a lot of fun while doing it.
I should note that Jinxy looks a lot taller than she is supposed to be in that last drawing. She's only supposed to come up to about Sesshoumaru's shoulder - assuming he is as tall as I assume he is... then again, you know what happens when one assumes... hehe.

I just completed an official Jinxy portrait. This one won't be colored, it will remain black and white. I think I finally have a decent handle on this freehand anime thing - I drew this without looking at anything and I think it looks great. I can't wait to post but it will likely be Monday before I can.

I went to the library after class (Abnormal Psychology, by the way, I should fit in so well) and played with the only tool I really know how to use in Photoshop, the stampy thing. I think I may have fixed some of the proportion problem in Jinxy's face. Here are two versions, the second of which I think is the best. What do you think?

I was just playing around in Photobie, the free crap Photoshop rip-off I just re-downloaded. The new version isn't too bad, a little easier for me to navigate versus Photoshop. In any case, this turned out okay... Not great, but fun.
