I just finished watching the anime version of The Little Mermaid.
To be honest, I both loved and hated it. I loved how even though it was a kid's movie, it stayed true to Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tale.
Only spoiler I'll leave you is that the ending is tragic. Its not much of a spoiler if you've read the original tale, but still.

You can find it on Youtube.
Just type down 'Little mermaid anime' and you'll find the movie split into eight parts.

What if they made anime versions of Cinderella?
Oh god; I can only imagine how graphic that would be.
The tale involved the step sisters cutting off a part of their foot to fit into the glass slipper. When Cinderella was able to fit into it; the step sisters threw her into a flaming barrel and let her burn to death.

OH! I remember that movie! I prefer it to the Disney version because it has a much more realistic ending. It is amazing even with incredibly shitty English voice acting. That little dolphin is worse than Richard Cox, I think LOL. Is that going to far? I don't think so.
Anyway, oddly enough, the VHS (Yes, I'm from the days of Beta machines and VCRs O.O apparently a lot of us on here are, hee) was an Easter present in ages passed. Don't think my mom knew there were boobies in it - ha! Fantastic film. I do like Disney movies and I like their version, don't get me wrong. I just prefer the anime version. I'm sick like that, hehe.

I finished it last night!
The prince makes me mad... He was so naive.
And the mermaid makes me cry.
I like it better than the Disney version because it portrays a darker side of life, and that it isn't always a happy ending.

That prince made me mad as well.
I do love the accuracy of his character compared to the one in the original story though.
