[This is seriously a question that came to my mind.]
I recently started hanging out with this new girl, whom mind you just moved around my neighborhood. I do not usually latch on to people, but she spoke french and she looked lonely.

Anyways, after a while of getting to know who she was, I asked her was she by chance French. She replied no, and just said she had been learning it since the 6th grade. [She's a year younger than I am.]
I go and blab away on how I was from the U.K, and how French was my first language and blah-blah-blah. She thought it was cool, and more or so became fascinated with the fact.
Days later she comes back and tells me how her mother speaks french.
Though, she never mention it before I figured she didn't know herself and went home to ask about it or whatever. So really I paid no mind.

Now mind you, my fashion sense would seem a bit odd to you all. But then some of you wouldn't care. I'm known to walk around wearing a pair of boxiers showing underneath a pleated skirt, and I love skinny jeans and baggy pants. [Lovely combination.] I'm also known to walk around in the tightest of out-dated shirts.
Moving on-
That's my style and the new girl never did dress like that.
A week later after hanging out with her, she comes dressed in what I consider my style.
Hey, no big deal. I was kind of flattered.

Time goes on, AGAIN, and now she is doing everything I do.
On here you all call me Day Day or Day.
Around my neighborhood I'm called DAy or Cloud.
Now she wants to be called Weeds or something like that... [Seriously, wtf?]

Any stupid words I say, she says. And now another friend she made has joined her lead.

Yes, I really should feel flattered that she is completely copying off me, but no it is urking all hell out of me.

And that's when it hits me, everyone nearly does that.
Or most do. I figured she'll probably do whatever I tell her to do.
But because, I'm not that fucked up, I won't make her do anything.

Doesn't anyone think for themselves anymore?

alot of people follow trends because they're not really happy about themselves. So when they see someone "cool" or someone they consider this, they would obviously want to be like them. Just like a little kid having a role model, but in a more irky sense.

If it really gets on your nerves you should tell her, or just wait it out until she finds her own style.

And than as soon as I started to watch anime She does too cause I talked about how cool it was. Than I start to say slutbucket so does she -.-....

I mean you just gotta be real annoying towards them if you want 'em to stop. If not just be flattered :3

People go through that stage. they try out different styles [btw day, i know what you mean with the odd style, i dress the same way XD pantyhose under a pair of short shorts, one knee sock and then a leg warmer, ribbons everywhere. XD i know trust me. lol] But yeah. everyone usually goes through that stage, but for the lucky ones like us, we've discovered our style and we stick with it. ^-^ if it doesn't blow over in a few months, completely tell her off IN A NICE WAY okay, Day? mucho lovies Day <<3 Kaci

I'm glad someone else noticed this little fact... The world is changing, and the people need someone they can count on. Someone to lead them into peace, not war. Someone to take away all the worries from the common man and woman.

...getting back to the topic, yes, children usually look for a role model because their parents aren't there enough for them. (Although I never had a role model, but that's just me.) If you want her to stop, just tell her. Don't shout, because once she goes her own way, she'll probably spread rumors about you, and that you're mean, or something like that.

Daymare, I've met people like that...This one girl [B] in junior high-school did every single damned thing this other girl did [M] . At first I did copied some things M did, but because it was practical...like for example, she brought with herself a little hand bag, and honestly I did too to carry my money and stuff...but then B did EVERYTHING M did...and that was when I did not like that relationship and walked away. Maybe you just have to tell them to go away, they'll find someone else to cling to, that's the way it works.
