I wrote this poem a few years back. I was going through some tough times, as I am now. Maybe that's why this poem jumped out at me and begged to be added here. Feel free to comment.


Dark Void Spiral

As I sit, I sit alone
Alone in a dark void
With my conscience
Nothing to clear my mind
Of the fears that eat away at my brain
I sit with my head to my knees
I close my eyes, my hands over my ears
I try to drown out the noise
The noise of a dark void
In the background I hear...I hear my heart beat
If it were to beat any harder, any faster
It would burst into bits
Little pieces of it would fall in a dark void
Never to be retrieved again
So I sit, and I sit alone to be alone, alone, alone

Ah, the only good thing you get from your sister - the ability to put thoughts and feelings into such gripping words. I like that it doesn't rhyme, reminds me of my own poetry, hee.

Thanx for the comment. You remember this poem don't you? Maybe not. It has been some time since you saw my poetry. Yeah. Maybe I will get back into it again. Might be a good way to vent. I am still working on my story. As soon as I have a complete chapter I will send you a copy and then post it here.
