What do you think about America's econonmy right now?

Just recently a bank in California had to close down because it had no money and it took everyone's money with it, that hasen't happened since the 20's during the Great Depression. A LOT of people right now are having to close ther businesses cause no one is coming in anymore to buy anything because our gas prices are to high. Lawers(sp?) are having to close down their firms because again no one can pay them, same goes to everyone else. In a lot of places right now if you don't already have a job you wont get one, because theres no more or the business can't give out more jobs because of lack of money and people buying things.

What do you think needs to be done about this?

If nothing does happen, we could begin to live in the next Great Depression a lot of people say right now.

Hoover was the president during that horrible time and abosolutely did nothing to improve it, it took a Democrat to clean up the mess he made, then again that's what they do, clean up the mess they leave behind.

I'm scared about that banks closing, mom's job could be a jepordy and I don't like that at all. She's open at losing her money and job at the same time.

I've been thinking for a while that we might be heading for another Great Depression and it's because of the stupid rise in the prices of everything.

Bush or someone should do something about it. It seems everything went up after the war started. I hate that stupid war. There's no point of it happening. Bush is a moron and hopefully the next president will be able to clean up the mess he made.

It's scary. I hope the economy can improve soon. If it doesn't, I'm probably gonna flee the country. >.<

Yea, everyone that I've seen is hurting pretty bad right now, even the people who normally have a lot of money. Yea, did you see Bush'es statement on T.V lately? They were asking him what he thinks about our economy falling and he was all "Well I'm not economist, I'm an optimist(sp?)!", well yea sure he is, when he's a billionare and making money of of all of us as we fall.

My family is Republican but their pissed off at whats been happening lately, but they don't really agree with either candidate, my their thinking Obama, because McCain just wants tto keep everything the same and none of it is working! But they think that if either wins America will still suck at the moment.

Our gas prices are outragious.
We also need tax cuts.
AND everyone has to pay for Welfare, which sure is nice, but the truth is a LOT of those people wont work because they know that they'll always get money from the government, so as the working people are hurting really bad, not only are we losing money from loss of jobs, were losing money because everytime you get your paycheck money is takin out to give to those who arn't working.
I just don't understand it.
It's so wrong.
We should be helping those who need help.

All the people on the news and such talking about how our country is fine and how were doing really well at the moment, are people who have billions of dollars, so of course their fine!
But what what about everyone else?

Our economy sucks right now, we seriousely need some drastic change. The government also needs to cut back and stop spending so much.
Why does it matter that our governments rich when the people arn't doing so well? If you were the government wouldn't you want your country doing well?

People should make some type of car that doesn't run on gas! That way we don't have to pay for gas and that way it will stop ruining our planet. That would be nice.
If this stuff keeps up people will probably just end up killing each other. That way the world will end and the human race will be destroyed...all but one perosn.
One person has to stay alive unless they kill themselves... I am no politic or anything but it seems like the presidants are getting more worse every four years!
