well, acually, inuyasha can sleep in a bed if he really wants to, because in that one episode where shouga(myoga's fiancee' or whatever you want to call it, oh, and there are spoilers if you havn't seen this episode, well, kinda) anyways inuyasha was sleeping up against a wall, when there was a bed that he could have used, but, no, he chose to sleep against the wall, so i think he sleeps in the tree out of his own will, not to mention the fact that he can keep an eye on everbody while he's up there!
