Description: Fugitive Alchemists Kill Innocent People

Angel Fighter - May 31, 2005 12:20 AM (GMT)
Full Metal Alchemist:
Angel Fighter Alchemist and The Shadow Alchemist

A desolate wasteland befell a whole acre of once a beautiful meadow, dead bodies lie around as the troops that survived. The squad scowered for allies who survived the battle and any enemies found were killed on the spot. The Alchemists that remained alive were taken to a third world village near by and were prepped for recovery. Only few survivors were found, the rest were either clenching to life by the power of Philosophers Stone or by the mere thought of their family that were waiting for them to come home. All those who were holding onto that faith were killed by allies who believed they weren’t to survive.
Their were two soldiers found near death at enemy lines who appeared to be the only ones that were still able to speak, while others were left mute. The two soldiers were taken to the hospital in the village south of the battle field and were given special treatment. But weeks later they were pronounced dead… according to the government.

8 years later…

Ed and Al were riding a train, Ed was holding a tan letter in his hand unopened and staring at it. He flipped the letter over to see the seal of the State Alchemist. Al sat across from Ed staring out the window, watching the pine tress’s pass. A stream leaked under the bridge the train was passing and fell off a waterfall on the left of them.
“What do you think they want brother?” Al asked looking over at Ed.
Al didn’t respond. Whenever they got a letter form Kernel Mustang, was usually bad news or some mission that only they could do. He flipped the letter back over and read the front.
“To Edward and Alfanze, State Alchemists (yeah whatever) From Kernel Mustang.” Ed finished it and tucked it in his pocket. He placed his elbows on his knees and his hands under his chin and stared out the window watching the simple things pass.
“Why haven’t you opened it yet?” Al asked.
“Don’t have to. The only time they need us is when there’s trouble, you know that.” Ed finished and laid back in his seat. He looked across them on the other side of the train, a little girl was sitting by herself looking down into a picture book. Ed grunted.
“Who lets a kid that age on this train by herself Hugh?” Ed looked back at Al.
“Don’t get off the subject, open the letter.”
Ed sighed and laid back again, drooping his head letting his touch his chest. He took out the letter and tossed it at Al.
“I’m not opening it, you do it.”
“All right.” Al said and began to tear at the side of it until the train came to a screeching halt and sent Al flying forward into Ed’s seat.
“Watch out!” Ed shouted dodging out of the way before Al crashed into him.
“What happened?” Al asked sitting up.
Ed stood up on his seat and looked around, the little girl across from them had a cut on her knee but other than that looked unharmed. Ed looked forward to see if anyone else was hurt, fellow passengers rose for their seats, rubbing their heads and looking around.
“Is anyone hurt?” Ed asked.
The passengers shook their heads, Ed smiled and sat back in his seat. Al was also now sitting back in his seat. Ed put his arms behind his head and closed his eyes.
“Well, the engineer will have this sorted out…” Ed began but a loud scream came from the cart in front of them.
Al and Ed sat up quickly and looked in the direction the mans scream came from, the door that was in between their cart and the drivers cart was rattling, until the engineer came flying through smashing the glass and falling on the floor beside an elderly couple.
“What the hell…” Ed began but a woman in red and black stepped through the door. She had very long black and silver hair and she was wearing black pants, a red belt, red bandana draped around her forehead, red belly shirt, black leather jacket, black leather gloves, a long red scarf tied around her waist, and was wearing a black cape.
She stepped over the engineer and looked around the compartment. Other passengers knelt down with their hands over their heads, the little girl across AL and Ed was crying softly with her fists buried in her eyes. The woman looked over at Ed and Al, she smiled wickedly and looked back at the seat across them, where the little girl was crying.
She took a step forward, the sound of glass crunching beneath her feet made the hair on the back of Ed’s neck stand up.
“She’s not going after the child… she cant’.” Ed thought.
Al let out a small whimper as she took another step closer, she was maybe a few feet away, each step made Ed sweat. She was now maybe four feet away, the least. She came closer and closer, the black cape flowing slightly behind her, the wicked smile still placed on her face. Now about a foot away, she turned to the seat where the little girl was crying and trying to rub the tears away.
“She can’t…. she can’t attack a child…”Ed kept thinking.
She had her back turned against Ed and Al now, she was facing the child. She turned her head to the side and looked back at Ed with a cold soulless look, her eyes were like cats, but only blue. She turned back to face the little girl. The girl whined and cried louder now shouting: “Mommy! Mommy help me!”
“She won’t attack her, she’s just trying to scare her…” Ed thought.
The woman raised her hand, moving the cape aside. A glint of metal shined through at Ed. A chain was dangling from her pocket.
“She’s a State Alchemist?” Al murmured to Ed.
She cracked her knuckles loudly with one hand and turned her wrist around, a light shined from her hand and long sharp metal knives shot out from her finger tips.
“She’s gonna kill her…” Ed thought. “No!” Ed yelled and went to tackle the woman. He threw his arms out but he bounced back into the window of their compartment.
“Brother!” Al called.
“She’s gonna kill the kid!” Ed stood up and went to tackle the woman again. Again like a force field he was thrown back into the window.
“Stop it brother! You’ll get hurt!” Al yelled.
“She’s gonna kill her!” Ed shouted, and went after her again, this time he was able to grab her cape and rip it from around her throat.
The cape was thrown on top of both of Al and Ed, Ed ripped it off himself and looked back at the woman. Her blue eyes stared back at him, the knives retreated into his finger tips. More metal shined in Ed’s face, when then Al gasped. Ed got a true focused look on the woman. Protruding from her back were large and long metal wing. She dropped her arm to her side slapping the metal chain of the State Alchemist. Her metal wings stretched out taking up the entire compartment row, she bent her knees and leapt upward slamming through the train ceiling breaking through flying out of sight.
“What was she?” Ed asked.
“On no, brother look.” Al said pointing to the seat opposite of them.
“What?” Ed asked looking at Al, Al was whimpering, like he was about to cry. Ed looked at the seat across from them to see the little girl with blank eyes and blood leaking through her shirt.
“She killed her…” Ed said his body shaking. “She killed her for no reason…”

8 years earlier…

The soldiers that were found at enemy lines were pronounced deceased, that was what the government told the public. Before their deaths they were to be hero’s and were going to be promoted but suddenly died in their sleep. The doctor said this:

“They died a painless death, they both went in their sleep. We believe they had internal injuries that we did not detect and died on June 18, 1986. We would like to address that the two soldiers had no known family but each other and we’re living in a homeless shelter almost all their lives, until the government took them in when they were children. These Alchemists will not be forgotten and their names will not be forgotten nor will their heroic actions. If it were not for them, then the Philosophers Stone would still exist.”

The two soldiers were not buried but cremated and their names were placed upon a plaque in every State Alchemists Headquarters. Their ashes were scattered across the battlefield on which they were saved from and now the field has yet to grown any form of life not even weeds have sprouted from the wasteland.
But a year after the ashes were supposedly scattered, rumors arose that the two soldiers did not in fact die but were alive and well still walking the earth somewhere. They were supposedly seen around un-crowded areas and were often seen at train stations looking to board a train to another country.
But however, those are only rumors, the true fact is yet to be known for hey haven’t been seen anywhere, but there is also no record of the two soldiers, like they never registered to be State Alchemists and that they never existed, they are actually believed to be an encouraging story for children and other State Alchemists that are in doubt.
Of course though… maybe they didn’t die… and they did exist. But if this story were true than why would the government say that the two brave soldiers died and were cremated? Maybe… maybe they didn’t want the soldiers to be found and the soldiers were somewhere that the government didn’t want anyone to know about…

8 years later…

The engineer regained consciousness, and the train was ready to go. People gathered around the girls body, Ed and Al were the only ones who saw her die and didn’t want to look at her any longer.
“She was just a child…” a woman said.
“So young…”
“Why would someone do this?”
Ed and Al looked out the window. To ride with a dead child’s body laying only two feet away made it hard to relax and enjoy the scenery.
“Brother… why do you think that woman would kill that little girl?” Al asked.
“How should I know!” Ed shouted. He took his fist and slammed it into the window. “What kind of person kills an innocent child?” Ed shouted and slammed his fist once again into the window.
The crowd of people didn’t look back at Ed or Al, they kept their stare at the girls body. Someone had the decency to shut her horror struck eyes and wrap her in a blanket. The body was tied up in and set on the seat with the picture book lying on top of the body.
“It’s inhumane! To kill a child for no reason!” Ed shouted and slammed both fists into the window.
Al lowered his head, he looked at the floor and saw tears dripping. He looked back over at Ed. His face was buried in his knees and his arms wrapped his them.
“Brother?” Al began.
“I could’ve stopped her, but I didn’t actually think she’d hurt her.” Ed said.
“You didn’t know, I thought she was just teasing…” Al tried to say.
“But she wasn’t teasing! She killed her Al! She killed her while we just sat here and watched!” Ed raised his head and shouted, tears streaming down his cheeks.
The rest of the ride to the State Alchemists headquarters was silent. Only soft sobs were heard down the aisle by the elderly couple, Ed had overheard she was their granddaughter and she just wanted to sit up front by real State Alchemists. This of course made Ed feel worse, but he didn’t want to mention it to Al, it would make Al feel just as bad as he did.
Getting off the train, Ed saw the elderly couple holding the girls body in the blanket carrying it off behind them. They looked so depressed Ed was about to start balling like a child again.
“Let’s go Al.” Ed said and kept walking.
“But brother, shouldn’t we...” Al turned to the elderly couple who were crying now facing a government officer.
“LET’S GO AL.” Ed repeated more loudly and kept walking again not looking back.
“Coming brother…” Al said and walked behind Ed.
Again it was silent, just like on the train, only without the elderly couple crying behind them. They got to the State Alchemists Headquarters and went straight to Kernel Mustangs office. When they got inside Mustang was sitting in his seat at his desk.
“Finally. You two were supposed to be here an hour ago. What’d you do see the sights or something?” Mustang said leaning forward in his seat.
“Actually, someone died on our train ride.” Ed sighed looking hatefully at Mustang.
“Oh really…” he began sounding like he didn’t believe them.
The a woman from the front desk barged in on them looking out of breath and her hair wild and sticking out on ends.
“Kernel… a child was killed… on the train just an hour ago. Her grandparents brought her off wrapped in a… blanket, and the killing look similar to the ones the fugitive State Alchemists have done… I thinks it’s them.” she panted.
“What?” Mustang shot up from his chair. “Get some nits to the train station now! Interview all the passengers now!” he pointed out the door.
“Yes sir!” the woman saluted and ran out of the room.
“Fugitive State Alchemists?” Al asked.
“Yeah, the letter I sent you was filled with al the info on them.”
“We didn’t read it.” Ed said plainly.
“You didn’t read it?!” Mustang said angrily.
“We were about to when the train stopped and I dropped it.” Al said.
“That’s when this women came in and killed the girl.” Ed added.
“So you saw her?” Mustang asked.
A flash of the memory of the woman yes staring at Ed shot through his mind.
“Yeah, we got a glimpse of her.” Ed stated.
“Was she with a man? A bit taller than her.” Mustang too his seat but looked excited.
“No. She was by herself.” Al said.
The excited grin on Mustangs face faded, now it was replaced with a defeated look.
“She was alone? Damn…”
“What’s this I hear about her being a fugitive State Alchemist?” Ed asked.
“Well… if’ you’d read my letter…” Mustang began.
“Just tell us about her and this man she’s supposed to be with!” Ed shouted.
Mustang looked over at Ed and sighed then gave him a serious look.
“Her name is unknown to us, she was known as Angel Fighter Alchemist, and she’s supposed to be traveling with her brother whom we also don’t know his name but we used to call him Shadow Alchemist. They used to work for us but then they vanished in 1986, I was told it was a matter left for much higher ranking officers, as you can see now I still know very little of them. Angel and Shadow were supposed to the best of the best Alchemist we ever had, but then something went wrong, they decided to go rouge on us. They just got up one day and left. And now, they’re back and killing innocent lives for no reason. Just for kicks I’m sure.”
“They were State Alchemists? Didn’t they show any signs of treachery?” Al asked.
“No, in fact I’m not to sure, it was before I came to be a State Alchemist.”
“Is Angel Fighter Alchemist the woman on the train?” Ed asked.
“Yeah, why?”
“The woman on the train had metal angel wings, it’s only common sense.” Al said.
“The woman on the train had metal wings?” Mustang asked.
“Yeah, you didn’t know.” Ed said.
“No, are you sure she had metal wings?” Mustang asked.
“Yeah, she flew off to so they apparently work as well.” Ed said.
“Why were you so surprised to know she had wings Kernel?” Al asked.
“It’s nothing.” Mustang looked away.
“Well, what did you want us down here for?” Ed asked impatiently.
“Here,” Mustang tossed them a rolled up parchment. “All the information is in there, your to find the two fugitives and bring them back here dead or alive.”
Ed unrolled the parchment, two pictures were placed upon it, one was the woman on the train and the other was man in black, with the same soulless looking blue eyes as the woman without the cat slits, and his hair short and spiked on top.
“There’s been a rumor that Scar has joined them.” Mustang stated.
“Scar?” Ed and Al asked at once.
“It’s only a rumor. Now, get going to the train station. Ask people if they saw what direction Angel went.”

Awesome!!! Write more!! I hate suspense on an awesome story!!

Angel Fighter - June 1, 2005 02:04 AM (GMT)
Thanks, your the only person who repsonded to this, please continue to read this for I think it's one of the best Fan Fics I've ever written.
-------------------------------

“Why would Scar be with these two?” Ed asked.
“They’re all murderers. Angel and Shadow only killed Alchemists. So I don’t see why Scar wouldn’t join them, but like I said it was only a rumor.” Mustang finished.
“But that child on the train, she wasn’t an Alchemist.” Al said.
“You two are very nosy,” Mustang laughed. “Get going.” he added seriously.
Ed and Al left the office with out a second glance back, as they got outside Ed was unrolling the parchment again and reading the profile on the two fugitive Alchemists.
“Let’s see…” Ed said and took a seat on a bench. Al sat next to him and put his arms in his lap. He looked over onto the parchment that Ed was holding and stared at the picture of The Shadow Alchemist.
“He looks like the woman in this picture.”
“Well you heard Mustang, he’s her brother.” Ed said and skimmed through the parchment. “Get a load of this Al,” Ed nudged Al who was watching birds fly around their feet peaking at the grass beneath them. “Angel Fighter Alchemist, given the name Angel Fighter for her upstanding cruelty in battle. The Shadow Alchemist, given the name Shadow for his stealth and ninja skills. Well, Angel has the right nickname, but we’ve yet to see this Shadow guy.” Ed said rolling up the document.
“Where do you suppose they’re hiding at?” Al asked.
“Could be anywhere, let’s check out that train station we were just at, maybe someone saw Angel.” Ed stood up. The birds that surrounded them scattered as the two of them left the bench and walked back to the train station.
“We should ask that elderly couple.” Ed said. Al sighed and looked the other way.
“What’s your problem?” Ed asked.
“It’s just, we shouldn’t ask them right now. There still probably in shock of losing their granddaughter.”
“Oh, so you know that that was their granddaughter hugh?” Ed asked.
“Yes, I heard them on the train.” Al looked back at Ed.
“Even if it’s to soon, we need to figure it out, if their killing State Alchemists then that means their after us too. And if we find out the information to late, than it’ll mean it’ll be to late for us.” Ed stated.
“…ok then.” Al sighed.
Getting to the train station was alright, but asking the elderly couple about seeing Angel was no picnic. The grandmother kept crying while Ed and Al were trying to ask questions and get answers. The grandfather was explaining that their granddaughter, Abby, was the only thing left from their deceased daughter and son-in-law.
Ed and Al got little answers. The elderly couple couldn’t answer most of the questions, they barely even got a look at Angel, they were in such shock that their Abby was dead they hadn’t noticed she had metal wings and burst through the ceiling of their compartment.
An hour passed and Ed and Al weren’t even close to getting more information on Angel’s or Shadow’s whereabouts.
It was half past noon when Ed and Al had overheard that a strange man in black was seen near the station that Ed ad AL boarded to come and see what Mustang wanted. Ed had also recalled bumping into a man in black when purchasing the tickets. Ed had just gotten the tickets, when he turned around he slammed into a man in black and fell backwards. The man I black didn’t apologize but just walked out of the station.
“Do you remember that guy I bumped into at the other train station?” Ed asked Al.
“Actually, yes. He was at the station but he didn’t even buy a ticket.” Al answered.
“No, but I bet he was Shadow and he was there with Angel.”
Ed and Al were on their way back to the park they were reading the parchment at. The park was less empty now, of course that’d make sense since it was beginning to get dark out.
“But I still don’t understand why she killed a little girl.” Al said.
Ed and Al sat at the same bench as before. Ed unrolled the parchment and stared at the pictures once again.
“You know, they don’t really look like killers.” Al said looking at the pictures.
“Well they are, and how can you say they don’t look like killers? Look at Angel. Her eyes are…” Ed stared at her photo, blue cat like eyes stared back. “ …they’re…” Ed said again.
“Kind of cute.” Al said looking into the picture still.
“Pretty?” Ed asked not looking at Al.
“Yeah, but they’re kind of sad too, see?” Al pointed to her photo. Her cat eyes looked back, in a saddened way.
“She doesn’t look sad.” Ed said.
“Not her face, but the soul. See look harder, maybe she’s not a real killer but…”
“A real evil killer.” Ed said.
“Hmm… maybe your right.” Al said.
“Well, we could go back to the other train station and find out if anyone saw Shadow walking around.” Ed said rolling up the parchment.
“But we don’t have any more money.” Al said.
“Your right… wait, I’ve got an idea!” Ed said putting his fist in his hand.
Ed and Al sat on the corner of the street holding up a cardboard sign: “Need Money for Train Tickets”. Pedestrians passing by only looked at the sign and laughed. No one even gave them a scent.
“This isn’t working.” Ed said.
“Don’t give up, we just need to stay here a bit longer.”
“We’ve got to find a different way to get to the other train station.” Ed said sitting down on the corner. “We could try to sneak on…”
“I don’t think that’s such a good idea, we could get caught.”
“Yeah, we probably could…” Ed said and crossed his arms. He looked onto the horizon, watching the sunset under the trees and watching the moon begin to rise to their right. The sky had turned a mixture of orange, purple, and pink as the sun was lowering further into the ground.

The sun was setting, and the night was approaching. A man in black with dark shades on was leaning against a mountain wall watching the sun fall into the earth. His hair was spiked back and a scar started above his forehead retreating to the back of his head unseen by his dark black hair. He crossed his arms and looked further into the horizon. A glint flashed over his shades.
“Finally.” he said in a deep voice.
A bright glinting shine in his face, the metal from an angel’s wings shined at him. The wings flapping, sounding like rusted machinery came closer. The woman with the metal wings attached to her back, flew above the man and then dropped in front of him. She moved her black and silver hair from her face and folded her angel metallic wings together.
“Where were you.” the man asked.
“I was on my way here, where do you think I was?” she said in a cocky tone.
“You were with him again weren’t you?”
“No,” she said looking at him seriously. “I wasn’t.”
“I know when your lying.”
“You know everything.”
“He knows Full Metal, you can’t afford to speak with him.” he said as Angel walked away from him. She laid her side against a tree and focused herself on ignoring Shadow. “I know you heard me, you can’t hang around with him, not until this is over.”
“But when will this be over Shadow?”
Shadow turned the other way. He removed his shades and looked back at Angel with soulless eyes. He put a hand on her shoulder and sighed.
“I can’t say when this will be over, probably not for a while.”
“Shadow, there has to be a time when we’ll be able to walk among other people.”
“So you can kill innocent children in the process?” Shadow said lifting his shades back onto his face.
“I only killed her because Full Metal was there.”
“But she had to relationship to Full Metal.”
“Yes, but he was upset that I killed her.”
“Why do you want his attention so badly?”
“I demand attention, you know how I am.”
“From now on, I’ll get his attention. One way or another.”
“How do you propose to get his attention?”
“By actually attacking him and the metal man he travels with.”
“When?’
“Tonight.”
