Chapter 1
Ari wandered though the woods blindly. Oh god, how’d I get myself into this mess? I wish Aiko was here. She thought as her pet cat, Kiana jumped on her shoulder. Ari yelped in pain as Kiana gently poked her wound, “Kiana! Don’t touch that!” The baby cat demon cocked her head at Ari. “I wish you were older.” Aiko always said wishing never gets you anywhere. You’ve got to do it. Ari leaned against a tree as she slowly drifted off to sleep.
The light pieced Ari’s eyes as she slowly got up, "That must have been a dream. A very long dream.” She looked outside, “Well no wonder, its mid day, how long have I been sleeping?”
“It’s about time you got up.” A light cheerful voice said.
“Aiko.” Ari whispered. Then it must have been a dream Her head dropped as she felt sleepy again.
“Alright, get up!” Aiko said as she pulled the covers off Ari.
“Five more minutes.” Ari mumbled and reached around for her blanket.
“Up, Now. It’s near lunch time. I only let you sleep since I made you stay up so late last night.” Aiko gestured for her to get up.
“Fine.” Ari said as she got up and reached for her kimono as Aiko left the room. A scream came from the kitchen as blood spattered on the thin paper wall. A body slumped against the wall and fell though. There lay Aiko nearly cut in half, blood bubbled out of her body. “Oh God!” Ari screamed as she fell over clutching her arm
What’s wrong with my arm? Ari slowly opened her eyes That was a dream “Kiana! You do NOT touch this! This hurts! Really Bad! If it bleeds then you don’t touch it! You saw how that demon hurt me, I don’t need more pain.” Ari yelled at Kiana. “This is the worst month ever.” She whispered to herself. She closed her eyes and slowly got up. “Kiana, lets go.” She opened her eyes and began walking as Kiana jumped on her shoulder. “Yea, you stay on that shoulder. Kiana, I see a road, maybe we can find a village if we follow it."
Ari walked despite the dizziness she felt. I’ve lost too much blood. I’ll never make it to a village. She cleared the small branches in her way. “Look Kiana, the sun.” Ari said to he little cat as she stepped out of the forest. “I think we can find a village if we follow the road. That is if I don’t past out first.” Ari looked at her arm blood cover her demon slayer outfit, or what was left of it at least. “I can’t see clear anymore.” I must be dying, I’m never going to make it. I wonder who’ll find my body. I hope they will at least bury me. Ari thought as she fell to the ground. “Kiana, go get help.” She mumbled. The cat only licked her face. “No, Help." Ari beathed as she lost her grip on consciousness.
The birds chirped as walked Ari though the forest. “Kiana, hurry up you silly kitty.” The young girl turned her head, “You’ll never catch them.” She said as she watched Kiana playfully jump for the butterflies that flew around her. Ari laughed as Kiana caught one in her paws, “Let it go Kiana. Don’t hurt the poor thing now.” She gently picked up her cat and began to walk again. So cute, so curios but so dumb “Whats wrong Kiana?” Ari asked as Kiana began to growl. “A demon. A big one. You’d better be able to help.” Kiana whimpered. “I bet I’ll end up saving your butt again.” Kiana buried her face in Ari’s shoulder. It was almost as if Kiana could understand her. Ari tore off her kimono to reveal her slayer outfit. She pulled her spear off her back. A lour roar filled the air as a large bear demon easily crushed the trees beneath it. “That demon, That bear nearly cut off my arm.” Ari whispered. “Kiana! Run!” Kiana ran deeper into the woods. At least you have some brains. The bear swiped its arm across the ground, a lousy attempt to defeat Ari. “You’ll have to do better than that!” She yelled as she stabbed the youkai in the hand. A ear shattering roar of pain rose from the bear. It tried to flatten Ari with it’s paw though Ari was too quick. She stayed alive for the most part. One of the bears claws dug deep into her flesh. She screamed as she felt the claw nearly touch her bone. I remember this, all I have to do is stab its neck The bear’s other paw swept down I don’t remember this! Ari quickly jumped up. The bear swept its paw towards Ari. I’m going to die Ari thought as the bear easily cut her in 2.
Thats all for now, hope you like it!

Chapter 2
“Hey I think she’s coming to.” A light voice said as Ari slowly regained consciousness.
“Good, that means we can leave her and get on with our lives.” A boy said as Ari opened her eyes.
“InuYasha! That’s rude!” The woman yelled, “Hey are you okay? That was a pretty bad wound.” She said as she turned to Ari.
”I’m Ari, who are you?” Ari asked weakly.
“Oh yea, I’m Kagome. He’s InuYasha, Miroku, and Sango. Oh and Shippou!” Kagome said pointing to herself, a boy with silver hair, a monk, a young woman and then to a little fox.
“Mew!” a little cat like Kiana jumped on to Sango’s shoulder.
“Kiana?” Ari said. Her eyes widened, “Where’s Kiana?” She asked a little panicked for her dear friend.
“Who’s Kiana?” Miroku asked.
“My cat!” Ari nearly yelled.
“Oh, her. We found her next to you mewing for help.” Sango said as Kiana jumped from behind her leg. A wave of relief swept over Ari as Kiana jumped on to her shoulder. I guess you can carry your load every once in a while. Ari thought.
“What the heck is with your clothes?” InuYasha asked meanly.
“What on earth do you mean?” Ari asked.
“Your clothes, they look just like Sango’s.” he asked.
“Sango’s?” Ari said sounding rather dumb.
InuYasha took a big breath, “They look like a demon slayer’s!” he yelled at her.
“Oh that, you mean, she’s a demon slayer too?” Ari pointed to Sango.
“What do you mean too?” Sango asked sounding slightly suspicious.
“I’m a demon slayer.” Ari said.
“I’ve never seen you before. If you really are, then where’s your weapon?” Sango asked.
“My spear! I must have left it at the tree, in the woods. Kiana, can you go get my spear? Its what I fight with, remember?” Kiana nodded and set out into the woods. I hope she doesn’t get lost, it would be easy for her. A few minutes later Kiana returned with Ari’s spear and a stick. “You’re like a dog, I swear.” Ari said as she threw the stick far away and watched Kiana run off to find it. InuYasha looked at her meanly. “This is my spear. Its my weapon, see, I am a demon slayer.”
“How can I be sure?” Sango said narrowing her eyes.
“You could even ask Aiko if she was alive still.” Ari said harshly.
“Ai- Aiko?” Sango sounded surprised. “You mean the demon slayer who ran away?”
“She did not run away, she was wandering the woods and she got lost.” Ari said angrily. “Now if you excuse me I have to go find my clothes.” She said stomping back into the woods. How dare she! If she knew Aiko then she would have never said that. “Kiana!” Ari yelled, “Come here kitty kitty kitty.” Kiana jumped on her shoulder nearly giving Ari a heart attack. “You scared the heck out of me Kiana.” She wandered deeper into the woods the pain subsided as she continued. “Kiana, my wound doesn’t hurt anymore; do you know what those people did to me?” Ari asked and Kiana only cocked her head. I guess not. There are my clothes. Ari thought as she picked up her dirt smeared kimono. She frowned at it, “Come along Kiana, We got to go find a stream.”
Ari stopped at a near by stream and dipped her clothes in. She began scrubbing when Kiana poked at her shoulder. “Not now Kiana.” She poked at Ari again. “What?” Ari asked as she looked up. Them? She saw InuYasha and everyone across the stream. Kiana jumped in the water and began to paddle across. “Kiana! The current is too strong!” Ari yelled as Kiana began to struggle to get across. Ari ran into the water as Kiana slowly started to float down stream. Ari wanted to bury her face in her hands though she knew Kiana was too small to last long in the stream.
This was as far as I could get before I got a writer’s block. I hope you like it and the next one will take longer to make, as I said, I’m having a writer’s block

A Demon Slayer’s Tale-
Chapter 3“Kiana!” Ari shouted as the current grew faster and faster as my dear friend flew down the stream. Ari would have jumped in but she didn’t know how to swim and then there would be 2 people in danger. She silently shed tears for her little friend as she knew she could do nothing. She only ran down the river with Kiana. “Kiana! Swim towards me!” Ari yelled slightly out of breath. She was used to such a workout.
[You know I could just kill Kiana. *dodges sharp objects thrown by readers* guess not] Kiana tried with all her little body’s force but the swift current kept her from making any progress.
A dark shadow passed over Kiana. A hand cupped up Kiana just as her head bobbed under the water yet again. Ari watched in amazement as Sango pet Kiana on the head. Sango had saved Kiana even though Ari had exploded at Sango yet she still helped her. Ari never knew anyone who had done that for her. Sango flew down on Kirara and gave Kiana to Ari (That was really crappy but blame my writer’s block. I just want to get you to the good part ^_~*) “Umm Thank you.” Ari stuttered. “But tell me why did you help me?”
Sango stared in slight disbelief, “Kiana was in trouble, and who said I was doing for you? I was doing it for Kiana.” Sango said as she stuck her nose in the air.
She can sure hold a grudge. Ari thought.
“Is Kiana okay?” Kagome asked as she caught up with Sango. Kiana gave a small wheeze.
“She’s okay, she might have a little cold that’s all.” Ari said as a smile plastered onto her face. She snuggled Kiana to her chin. “I was so afraid I’d lost you.” Ari whispered into Kiana’s ear. Kiana only gave her a lick in return. Ari knew she understood. “Thanks a lot Sango. I would have lost my only friend if not for you.” She said with a small bow.
“Your welcome.” Sango said quietly.
She’s acting like InuYasha. I wonder if Miroku did something to make her mad. Kagome thought. She laughed at the thought. “Lets go.” Sango said as she began to walk away.
Yea, Sango is totally acting like InuYasha. Kagome thought.
Kiana jumped from Ari and began to walk towards Sango; Ari’s face fell.
So that’s how it is Kiana. I thought I was your friend. Ari thought. Kiana mewed at Sango. Kirara jumped from Sango as well. “It seems our cats like each other.” Sango said as she turned to a tear soaked Ari. She quickly wiped her tears away.
“Yea.” Ari stammered. “Kiana has never known any other cats like her other than her brothers and sisters.” Ari picked up Kiana, “ I guess Kiroro would be proud. Her little kitty has grown up so much. I knew I wanted the most curious one.” Ari smiled at Kiana.
“Kiroro?” Shippou asked finally speaking. This was the first time Ari had actually heard Shippou talk.
“Yep. I killed a demon for them and they didn’t have any money so they gave me Kiana instead. Well they let me choose. Kiana just walked up to me as if I was her mother and I knew, I wanted her.” She gave another grin to her little friend. “I love you Kiana.” Ari whispered in Kiana’s ear.
“Why don’t you come with us to the next village, Ari?” Kagome asked. Sango turned her head at her quickly and gave an icy cold glare. “Just to the next town okay? Please? We’d really like to get to know you a little better.”
“I couldn’t say no to you Kagome. If it was Sango on the other hand.” Miroku was about to defend his dear friend when Ari said that but Kagome gave him a death stare. He slowly shrunk back behind InuYasha. Kagome giggled at this.
“Let’s get going now.” Sango said clenching her fists. Kagome laughed at how Sango could get so worked up about this.
They began to walk when they realized Kirara and Kiana missing. They looked back and they all smiled as they played. Kirara being much older had the advantage easily kept on winning but Kiana didn’t seem to mind.
“Hurry up Kiana, Kirara. Come on.” Ari called. They both looked up and ran after their friends.
Writer’s Block totally gone! :cheer: Yea! I didn’t know how I’d get them past the river scene but I did! All in only 3 days! Thing is I’m up until nearly 1 am working on this! lol! My story I refer is today is

Chapter 4
“Let’s Go.” Sango said nearly stomping off. “You’re only coming with us to the next village, right?”
Kagome rolled her eyes, “Cool off Sango.” She whispered into Sango’s ear.
“No I’m coming with you for the rest of my life. Of course I am!” Ari said a little pissed off.
“Ari, I forgot to ask you something.” Miroku said as he ran in front of her.
“You’d you better not.” Sango warned as she pulled the Hiraikotsu off her back. Kagome rolled her eyes yet again. My life is turning into a soap opera. She thought as she gave InuYasha Here-we-go-again look.
“Would you mind b-“ Miroku said before he was knocked on the head with a certain boomerang by a certain woman who at the moment was very pissed.
“Get up you stupid monk.” InuYasha said kicking Miroku. Miroku slowly got up. Kiana jumped off Ari shoulder. She ran in front of everyone and began to growl.
“What’s wrong Kiana?” Ari asked as she picked up Kiana. “Many people are coming.”
They soon were surrounded by at least a hundred men. A man rode up on a horse, “Ari.” He kept his face hidden underneath his hat.
“I know its you, Kuranosuke.” Ari said as she pushed up his hat with a smirk on her face.
“You think you’re so smart don’t you Ari.” He said laughing at her confidence.
“I am though.” Ari smiled.
“Kuranosuke Takeda?” Sango said a little surprised.
“Sango. It is so good to see you.” He turned to Ari, “You see the demon you slew last time brother has come seeking revenge.” Kuranosuke said climbing off his horse. “This is your payment.” He grabbed a sack of money.
“I’ll take half.” Ari said pushing it back to him.
“I insist.” He pushed it back.
Ari drew her Kanata and sliced the bag in half. “I’m taking half.” She said raising her voice.
“Okay then. My castle is due north of here. Will you come?” Kuranosuke asked.
“Great, just the way I came from.” Ari said underneath her breath. “Sure lets go.”
“It’s so much bigger.” Sango said once they were in the castle’s walls.
“It’s the same as before.” Kuranosuke said. “Show our guests to their rooms.” He said to a servant near by.
Later in the day Ari was taking a walk around the garden. She stared at the lilies. “It’s beautiful is it not?” Kuranosuke said as he walked up behind her.
“Oh yes, its beautiful. Simply mesmerizing.” Ari smiled.
“It’s a special flower that grows in Britain.” He said as he picked one.
“Britain huh? Where is that again?” She asked a little embarrassed of her poor geography skills.
“It is part of the continent but it very far west if I believe.” Kuranosuke said. He put the flower in Ari hair, “Ari, what do you think of me?”
“Well, you’re a very nice lord.” Ari said not liking where the conversion was going.
“I mean emotionally.” He said.
“Umm, I like you as a friend.” Ari mumbled.
“As a friend huh, Ari, I love you.” Kuranosuke putting his hand on her cheek
“You what?” Ari said raising her eyebrow.
“Ari I love you.” He said as he kissed her.
Ari quickly punched him in the stomach. “What hell do you think you’re doing! And You’re a Horrible Kisser!” She yelled as she slapped him in the face, “Slay Your Demon Jerk!” She stomped off towards her room, throwing the lily from her hair. The nerve of him! I can’t believe him! And to think I thought he was nice! That Jerk! Ari thought angrily.
She turned a corner and without paying attention bumped into someone. She fell herself break the fence fall into the mud. “Lady Ari!” He yelled as he caught her hand only to pull himself into the mud as well. “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine, only a little mud.” Ari wiped the mud off her forehead. She took a look at the man sitting next to her. Oh My God, This guy’s Hott!! “Who are you, anyways?”
“Don’t you remember me? Kenji?” He said getting up.
“Kenji Takeda! Kuranosuke’s little brother?” She asked smiling. When'd he get so hot?
He grabbed her hand and pulled her up. “That’s me.”
Ari jumped up and hugged him, “It’s been so long! Oh how I have missed you!”
“I missed you too. How have you been?” He asked.
“I’ve been great. How bout you?” She smiled at him.
“Kuranosuke still bothers me.” He laughed as he climbed up onto the deck.
“He has some nerve.” Ari said under her breath.
“What’d he do to you now? Pull your hair? Push you in mud? Guess I did that though.” He asked
“Worse.” Ari said as she followed him.
“What?”
“You might not like this but he kissed me.” Ari said blushing.
“What!? How dare he kiss my best friend!” Kenji yelled.
“It’s okay, I took care of him myself.” Ari said.
“That is not okay! I will kill him.” He said angrily. She smiled as she felt something brush against her leg.
“Have you met my little kitty yet?” She asked as she picked up Kiana.
“She’s so small.” He pet Kiana as she began to purr.
“She’s mine. I got her about 3 months ago. I slew a demon in a small village and they didn’t have any money so they gave me her.” Ari said as Kiana jumped onto her shoulder.
“I guess it’s great being a demon slayer, being able to roam free and you get paid to just kill demons.” Kenji sighed.
“It’s not all great, I nearly died the other day. What about being a castle lord? Isn’t that great?” Ari asked.
“With Kuranosuke? No way.” They laughed. “Are you going to stay long?”
“Nope, after what your brother did. I’m going ASAP.” Ari said.
“I wish you could stay. I hope this will make up for it.” Kenji said as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled into a deep passionate kiss. She accepted the kiss gratefully and put her arms around his neck. (And to think I’ve never had my first kiss! *Cries* Ari’s so lucky!) They broke only for air. Ari blushed as she looked at Kenji. “So does that make up for it?”
Ari smiled, “I’ll tell everyone that was my first kiss.”
“I’m glad.” Kenji smiled back, “I’ll see you at dinner, correct?”
“Of course.” Ari said as Kiana purred next to her ear.
This was nothing like my original idea but I must say, it is better.

Chapter 5
“Well hello there! Mind opening the gate for me?” A woman from below yelled to the guard. She looked to be only 20 yet she sounded much older.
“Who are you and what business do you have here?” The guard yelled as he made a face at her.
“Must I tell a little human like you?” She asked as she raised her hand and pointed it at him. “I Hate Humans.” She snapped her finger as a bolt of lighting it him turning him into ash. “And just for the record, my name is Ura.” (Hu-ra)
“So you must be the demon attacking the castle.” Ari said as she opened the gate and walked outside in her demon slaying outfit and held her spear in her left hand.
“Are you the one who’s supposed to kill me? You’re kidding me.” Ura said as she took another look at Ari, “You look like you’re only 13 and your human. This is way too easy.”
"Who cares if I'm only 13? Huh?" Ari asked. Ura snapped her finger again at Ari. She quickly rolled out of the way.
“Maybe I misjudged you. That means I might have to try for once.” Ura said as she threw another bolt at Ari.
“You might be able to defeat me in 10 years.” Ari said as she whirled her spear in her hand and threw it at Ura.
“Lighting Barrier!” Ura yelled a large bolt crashed in front of her making a shield. Dammit, I can’t attack her now! Ari thought as her “Now, Attack that damn wench!” She yelled as the shield turned into another bolt and headed for Ari. The Hiraikotsu flew right above her head as it defected the lighting attack.
“Thanks Sango!” Ari said as she lifted the boomerang and threw it back to Sango. “I think.” Ari mumbled.
“Hey, Miroku; Isn’t the Hiraikotsu really heavy?” Kagome whispered in his ear.
“Maybe it’s a demon slayer thing.” Miroku whispered back.
Ari pulled on the chain that held her spear bringing it back. She ran to Sango and whispered something in her ear. Ari threw the spear at Ura once again only to hit the shield around her and to send it back to her. The plan's working Ari thought as the lighting grazed her arm. Oh crap! That wasn’t planned though. “My wound has reopened, that might be a problem.” Ari mumbled.
“Ari! Are you okay?” Kagome yelled as Ari clutched her arm.
“I’ll take care of you easy.” Ura said as she held a bolt of lighting in her hand.
“You’ll have to go though me first though.” Sango said as she stepped next to Ari. Sango threw the Hiraikotsu at Ura and ran at her with her Kanata in her hand. The Hiraikotsu was defected by Ura’s shield, as Sango was unable to pass as well.
“You will not defeat me so easily.” Ura said as she took down her shield.
“You wanna bet bitch.” (That was so temping lol) Sango jumped to the other side of her. Ura turned around and threw a lighting bolt at Sango. She dodged it and nodded her head at Ari. The lighting demon looked at Sango before turning around to see Ari throw her spear at Ura. The spear was too quick as it embedded itself in Ura’s forehead.
“I lost to a human; you’ve got to be kidding me.” She said as she fell to the ground. Ari stood up as she walked over to Ura and pulled her spear out. She winced a little at her wound as she put it back on her back.
“Is she dead?” Kuranosuke asked.
“Yes she is.” Ari said a little annoyed.
“But you said you would not slay the demon. What made you change your mind?” He asked. She pointed to the man standing behind him. He looked behind him. “K-Kenji?” Ari nodded as Kenji blushed. So he’s back to being the shy little boy I always knew. “Will you stay for the night?”
“Hell No!” Ari nearly yelled. “You couldn’t get me to stay even if you paid me to. I’m going to change and then we’re leaving.” She stomped back into the castle and slammed the gate behind her.
“Is it normal for a human to slam a 2 story stone gate?” Shippou asked.
“No its not.” InuYasha, Kagome, and Miroku answered at the same time. (lol)

Chapter 6
“Won’t you please stay?” Kuranosuke begged.
“No Way In Hell You Jerk!” Ari yelled at him.
“Please, just for the night.” Kuranosuke said.
“I Said No And I Mean No!” Ari slapped him on the cheek and turned her back to him.
She began to walk away as Kenji ran though the gate. When he caught up to her and turned her to face him, “Lady Ari, why are you going now?”
“As I said before, it’s what your brother did.” Ari said blushing a little bit.
“I really want you to stay.” Kenji said.
“I don’t mean to be rude but I’m going, I can’t stay.” Ari said sadly.
“Well this is good bye I guess.” Kenji said after a short period of silence. “I-I L-Love You.” He said as he pulled her into a deep kiss. Ari blushed a million shades of red as she felt everyone staring at her, but she didn’t care. She kissed him back until her lungs felt as though they’d burst from lack of air.
“I love you too.” She whispered in his ear as she hugged him. She smiled when they parted still blushing though.
“You look so much cuter when you blush.” He whispered in her ear causing her to blush even more.
“Good bye Ari.” He yelled to her as she was almost out of sight. She waved until she couldn’t see him anymore.
Kiana mewed in Ari’s ear. She turned her head at smiled at her. “I love you too Kiana.” She said as she gently hugged her.
“By the way, what was that about?” InuYasha asked Ari.
“What?” She said a little confused.
“About back there!” InuYasha yelled at her pointing towards the castle.
“Yes, I’ve seen him before but I didn’t know who he was.” Sango said.
Ari began to blush again as she knew what he was talking about, “I met him when Aiko had to slay a demon for the castle and it took about 3 or 4 days for the demon to finally come back so we got to play together for a while. And Aiko ended up working for the castle a lot so me and him became like best friends.”
“How is it we haven’t found a village in the past 2 weeks?” Sango asked.
“I don’t know just stop yelling so much.” Kagome said a little annoyed. “It’s getting late Sango, let’s stop for the night.”
“Fine.” Sango grumbled.

Chapter 7
“Sango, I think there’s a hot spring over there.” Kagome said as she pointed into the forest. “Do you want to go see?”
“Sure. Why not.” Sango said a little annoyed.
“Ari, you want to come?” Kagome asked as Ari looked up from whirling a stick in her hand.
“No thanks.” Ari said grabbing a small knife from her pocket.
“You sure?” Kagome persisted.
“No. Not now.” Ari began to shave off the bark of the stick.
“Okay,” Kagome looked at her, “what are you doing?”
“Just making a wooden spear.” Ari said not looking up from the stick.
“Okay then.” Kagome cocked her eyebrow, turned and began to walk with Sango father into the forest.
“Hey Sango, why don’t you like Ari?” (Rare Scene Without Ari!) Kagome asked after about 5 minutes of sitting in the steaming hot water.
“Well,” Sango started.
“Yes.” Kagome said.
“She’s so much better than me. She’s stronger, prettier, and a way better demon slayer than I am; and she’s so much younger than me.” Sango said clenching her fist a little, “I was never as good as her and I probably never will be either.”
“In other words, you’re jealous.” Kagome said as Sango nodded. “Sango, everyone in this world in the same, they all have the same amount of weaknesses and strengths, they just are at different things. No one on this earth is better than any other person, they may be a one thing but we are all the same. Anyways, she’s not prettier, its inner beauty that counts.”
“I guess you’re right Kagome.” Sango said smiling at Kagome.
“And be glad that she gives a good name to Demon Slayers.” Kagome laughed.
“Yea.” Sango said.
After another half an hour of sitting in the water they finally started to head back to camp. “Looks like everyone’s asleep.” Kagome said as they sat next to the fire drying off a little. “I’m going to sleep Sango.” Kagome said as she pulled out her sleeping bag. Sango sat next to the fire for another 5 minutes until she went to bed herself.
Ari slowly woke up as the sky to the east just began to pinken. The sun hadn’t even shown yet as she dragged her self to the river, she quickly stripped her clothes and jumped in. She nearly froze herself since not even a quarter of the sun had risen to warm the water. She swam a little in the water at least to the point of the river where she could still touch. After 5 minutes she finally decided to sit in the hot spring instead. The water felt so good to Ari as she walked in. She sat there and dipped her head under the warm waters. She just couldn’t stand hot water which was the reason she only went in just before the sun came up.
“Hey.” Kagome said as she crawled out of the woods.
“Jeez! You scared the crap out of me.” Ari said catching her breath.
“Sorry.” Kagome apologized. “Why you up so early?”
“This is my normal time I get up. I like taking baths in the morning. I like it cold and refreshing.” Ari said as she got up. She jumped into the river again before walking to shore again.
“I don’t think I could stand cold water like that.” Kagome said as Ari wrung out her hair.
“I do it all the time.” Ari said as she put her Kimono on again. She yawned and rubbed her eyes again.
“And you’re still tired?” Kagome asked as they walked back to camp.
“After 9 years, it doesn’t really wake you up as much.” Ari said though another yawn.
“9 years huh?” Kagome said rubbing her own eyes.
“Yep, ever since my older brother Shin died.” Ari said a little sadden thinking about her brother whom she loved so much.
“Well what happened to your parents?” Kagome asked.
“Well they died, I was 2 weeks old when our village was raided and burned. My mother died and my father went to get revenge. Shin said he’d come back when he did, but he never did. Shin said that he’d became a murderous monster. All I really know about them is their names and what they kinda looked like. Well what Shin said anyways.” Ari said pushing the bushes away and almost stepped on Sango.
“So what are their names?” Kagome said.
“Kita and Bankotsu.” Ari said giving another yawn.
“B-B-Bankotsu!?” Kagome nearly yelled waking everyone else up.
“Kagome shut up.” InuYasha said still half asleep.
“What’s wrong Lady Kagome?” Miroku said.
“Her father is Bankotsu.” Kagome said pointing to Ari.
Everyone looked at a clueless Ari, “What?”
“That bastard?” InuYasha asked.
“Hey!” Ari said a little pissed.
“What else do you know of him?” Sango asked.
“Shin said he was the leader of a band of murders.” Ari said a little disappointed.
“Couldn’t be any one else.” InuYasha said, “I hate to say it but we sent your “father” back to his grave.”
“What?” Ari asked a little confused.
“Yea, he was resurrected and we had to get rid of him.” InuYasha said.
“Y-You mean he died?” Ari said getting a few tears in her eyes.
“Yep.” InuYasha said.
“InuYasha! Be nice!” Kagome yelled.
Ari quickly wiped away her tears as a strange fog seemed to appear from nowhere.
InuYasha sniffed the air, “This isn’t fog it’s,”
“Smoke.” Ari finished a little short of breath.
“Ari, are you okay?” Kagome said as she turned her head.
Ari began to suddenly give harsh coughs. She quickly dropped to one knee still coughing. “I-I c-can’t b-br-breath.” She managed to say though her coughs. great, blurry vision, that’s bad. She gave a fierce cough as she passed out.
“We have to get her out of this smoke.” Kagome said as Sango began to rummage though her bag. Kagome looked at Ari who was not coughing as much but still coughing.
“Here.” Sango said as she threw her mask at Kagome.
“Thanks a lot Sango.” Kagome said as she put the mask on Ari. It was a little big but still was able to work as she soon stop to cough so much. “We should still take her out of the smoke.” Kagome said as she looked at InuYasha.
“I’ll be glad to take her.” Miroku said trying to hide a smile.
“In your dreams.” Kagome said.
“No way.” InuYasha said as Kagome gave him a death look. “Okay I will.” InuYasha said quickly picking her up and began to run away.
Author’s Note: I was super anxious to get to this part that I bet I rushed it a little didn’t I? Oh well, at least you found out about her family. Right? Also You’ll learn more in my other short story I’m writing called ‘Only Yesterday’ and depending on my schedule and laziness could take a week or a month, just look for it!

Chapter 8
Ari groaned as a bright light pierced her eyelids. She slowly opened them, with the whole world seeming to spin underneath her. “What happened?” She asked herself.
“You passed out.” Kagome said. “I think you might have what’s called Asthma, and I think you had an Asthma Attack.”
“Asthma? What’s that?” Ari asked.
“I think it’s when you can’t really breath in dust or smoke without not being able to breath. And I think you might have it.” Kagome said. “Do you have attacks every often?”
“No, I haven’t had one for at least 6 years.” Ari said. “How long have I been out for anyways?”
“A week.” InuYasha said in a harsh voice.
“Sit.” Kagome said sending him crashing to the ground. A cloud of dust rose from the ‘crash site.’ Ari began to cough again as Kagome gave her Sango’s mask again. “You’ve only been out for 2 hours.”
“Okay good.” Ari said a little relieved. “Hey can we go back to the smoked area?” She pulled out her own mask and handed Sango’s to her.
“Thanks.” Sango said in an almost whispering tone.
“Why?” Kagome nearly yelled.
“Because; I have my reasons.” Ari said getting up.
“You’re crazy.” Kagome said under her breath as she got up.
It didn’t take as long as it had before now that the sun was up. The smoke lingered around near the ground a few feet away. Ari put her mask on as she walked towards it. “I knew it.” She said as she ran her hand though it.
“Knew what?” Sango asked.
“It’s a miasma. A very weak one at that but it is a miasma, or an attempt to make one. I did sense a demonic aura around here earlier.” Ari said as she looked up at everyone.
“What the hell are you doing in my miasma?” A high pitched voice asked in a harsh tone. A small bat demon flew in front of them.
“Miasma? This is mere smoke.” Ari said a little annoyed.
“It’s a miasma you idiot!” The bat yelled back at her.
“You’re kidding me.” Ari said as she punched it on it’s head as it fell to the ground knocked out. She pulled out her sword and sliced it in half. The smoke disappeared just as quickly as it had come. “Jeez that thing was annoying.” Ari said as she began to walk a little.
She stopped in front of a large rock with an engraving of a stick horse. Her fingers traced the grooves of it. A gasp escaped her lips as she pulled back her hand.
“What is it?” Kagome asked a little puzzled.
“I know where we are.” Ari said in a whisper.
“Where?” Sango asked sounding almost excited.
“We’re near...”

Chapter 9
“We’re near my old village.” Ari said in barely a whisper.
“Your old village?” Kagome said, “Do you know how to get there?”
“Course I do.” Ari said.
“Take us there.” Sango demanded.
“Excuse me?” Ari asked a little pissed at what Sango had just said.
“Take us there.” Sango said again.
“No.” Ari said changing her mind. “I was going to, but now, forget it. I hope I see you again. Goodbye.” Ari walked into the woods and taking as many turns to make sure that they didn’t follow her. A small mew came from behind her, “Kiana! I almost forgot you! I’m so sorry.” Ari gave her a hug and put her on her shoulder.
She began to walk until she met a small stream. She dipped her hands in and cupped some water in her hands. She brought the water to her lips and drank down the cool water. Kiana jumped off of Ari’s shoulder and began to lap up the water. Ari slowly stood up looking around suspiciously, “I know someones there, come out now.”
A figure landed a few feet behind her. “I knew you would be able to notice me.” A feminine sounding voice said. Ari turned around to see a sword in her face; she looked at its holder. The man wore a light yellow kimono with green flowers printed on it. His hair was in an odd pony tail and he had blue streaks down his face underneath his eyes.
“Who are you?” Ari asked.
“I hate telling people over and over.” He said a little annoyed.
“Who Are You?” Ari said raising her voice.
“Jeez fine, my name is Jakotsu.” He said rolling his eyes.
“Wait... Do you, know... Bankotsu?” Ari said stumbling across her words.
“Of course I know him.” Jakotsu said.
“Take me to him.” Ari said sounding a little more demanding than she intended.
“Why should I?” he asked pissed.
“Cause I said so!” She yelled.
“Jeez, women are so demanding.” He said rolling his eyes again. “I should take you to him anyways.” He put his sword back in it’s sheath and turned around. “Follow me.”
He began to follow the river up until they met a clearing. Ari knew where they were going, the village. He wadded across the river and continued to head up it. Ari gasped as she saw the village up in flames. She would have fallen to her knees if she wasn’t holding on to the tree.
“What’s wrong with you.” Jakotsu asked stupidly. (he’s not stupid! cries)
“T-Th-The Vi-Village.” Ari stuttered.
“What of it?” He asked.
Ari stayed silent after that and merely watched the village burn until it left a thick smoke. It wasn’t until she gave violent harsh coughs she remembered about her asthma. She dug in her bag looking for her mask all the while coughing. She quickly threw it on her face before she passed out. Her breathing because shaky but she was able to breath. Jakotsu just looked at her not really caring. Ari ran into the woods and walked back out a few seconds later in her demon slaying outfit. As soon as the fire totally died down she ran right into the smoke. She ran down what used to be the main path of the village which she grew up in. Tears flew from her eyes as she continued to run as fast as she could.
“Hey you! Were the heck do you think you’re going?” Jakotsu yelled quite a ways back behind her.
Ari made a turn on to a smaller street and then on to an even smaller one. She ran though a gate and slammed it behind her. Ari kneeled down into of a small tombstone. Her hand were flat on the ground as tears poured down her face. “Oh Shin.” She managed to say.
Jakotsu ran up behind her panting. “What the hell are you doing.” He demanded. Ari didn’t reply. “I said wha-“
“What Does It Look Like I’m Doing?” Ari yelled as loud and angry as she could though her tears.
“Jakotsu. What are you doing here.” A voice said behind them that sounded so familiar to Ari.
“Oh hey Bankotsu, this girl was wandering the woods.” Jakotsu said.
Ari’s eyes widened as she heard the man’s name. “I Was Not Wandering The Woods! I Was Coming Back To The Village!” Ari yelled with tears running down her face again. “I was coming home.” She whispered.
“Well what is she doing at that stupid grave?” Bankotsu asked.
“This Stupid Grave Is Your Son’s! My Brother’s!” Ari screamed. She turned to her brother’s grave, “I wish Mama was here as well.” She whispered.
“Huh?” He said confused.
“Mama would be so disappointed. Kita would be so disappointed.” Ari said in a normal voice again.
”Kita.” Bankotsu said as if her name triggered all his memories, “Ari.” He said as he dropped his Banryu.
“Daddy!” Ari said as she began to cry again. She ran towards her father and wrapped her arms around him and cried.
Jakotsu simply stood to the side watching the whole thing and completely lost. “Umm Bankotsu.” He said pointing upwards. Naraku’s insects (too lazy to look up the name) flew just over head.
Bankotsu shook his head. He shook it again until he gave up. “I’m so sorry, Naraku’s orders.” Bankotsu said as he wrapped his hands around Ari’s neck with tears in his eyes.
“What are you doing?” Ari said as he began to squeezed her neck. Her knees gave out as her vision became blurry (I like making her pass out I guess. this is like the 3rd time. But this is important to the story so hah!) She slowly felt her eyes shut as she lost conciseness.

Chapter 10
Ari slowly opened her eyes to see a dimly lit room. She gasped as she sat up nearly sending Kiana flying. “Kiana! T-they got you too?” She asked. Kiana mewed towards a corner. “My spear!” (still looking for a name!) Ari said as she reached for her Kanata. “My sword.” She whispered.
“They stripped you of your weapons as well?” A voice came from behind Ari. She nearly jumped from fear and screamed a little. She turned around to see a young boy sitting in the corner with an arm bleeding terribly.
She gasped, “Your arm.” She crawled over to him since the cage was too short to really stand. “Are you okay?” She asked, “Does it hurt?”
“No, leave me alone.” He said.
“What’s your name anyways? Mine’s Ari.” She said.
“It’s Haru.” He said in barely a whisper.
“What happened?” Ari asked again. She reached out to help him.
“I Said I Don’t Want HELP!” He yelled grabbing her wrist and squeezing it to the point of breaking the bone. He slammed her hand down to the ground causing her to yell out in pain.
“Fine! Dammit if you don’t want me to help you then I won’t! I hope Naraku Kills you Haru!” Ari yelled jumping up and banging her head against the bars. She rubbed her head as she sat across from him glaring at him for at least an hour. She finally realized that Kiana was missing. “Kiana?” She heard a small mew from behind her. “You got out? Ha! They didn’t realize that you could fit though the bars!” Ari laughed.

Chapter 11
“Kiana, go get the key. It’s on the table where our weapons are, see?” Ari said. Kiana just stood there until Ari pointed to the table. Kiana jumped on to the table and tried to pick up Shitobaru (for those who didn’t read the author’s note, it’s Ari’s spear.) “No! The Key.” Ari said a little annoyed. Kiana picked up the key and brought it to Ari, well actually she dragged it. ”Good girl.” Ari said as she grabbed the key. She crawled over to the door and tried to fit her hand though the bars. She felt around for the hole in the lock to put the key in. After about a minute of shifting it around she found the hole and turned it to the left until the lock opened. “Yes!” Ari said as she pushed the door open. Ari motioned for Haru to follow. He slowly got up clutching his shoulder the whole time. And you didn’t want me to help you, why? Ari thought.
“Which way is out?” Haru asked.
“One way to find out.” Ari said as she picked up her weapons. “You want this back?” She asked as she threw Haru his sword. She turned around and began to run towards the wall. Haru gave a sweatdrop as Ari crashed through the wall. “Well I guess this is out.” She said as she looked around. Haru looked at Kiana before stepping though the hole. A cherry blossom tree was just to the left of them and smoke still littered the air.
“The village is this way.” Haru said pointing to the right of them, the direction of where the smoke was coming from.
“Yea.” Ari said taking off in that direction with Haru following behind her with Kiana on his shoulder. He had to do something for her, she had gotten them out after all.
There wasn’t as much smoke as before, you could at least see the sky now. She wandered around the burnt buildings.
“Who are you?” A young woman asked as she walked out of one of the buildings. She had long ravenous black hair and piercing red eyes. She had a dark blue kimono with a ocean design on it. Her hair with put up with a small shell. In her hand she held a small blue orb.
“I’m about to tell you why exactly?” Ari asked angrily with a small scowl.
“Haru how did you get out?” She asked looking at him.
“I just did, Yoko.” He said.
“Too bad. Thrashing Wave!” Yoko yelled as a wave of water flew from her orb. Haru pushed Ari out of the wave and into a hut sending it crashing to the ground. “What a cute couple.” She said taking a look at them. Ari looked at Haru blushing a faint shade of scarlet.
“Whatever bitch.” Ari said pulling Shitobaru off her back and throwing at her.
“Too slow. I’ll see ya later.” Yoko said as she pulled the shell out of her and whispering something. A rush of water surrounded her and disappeared along with her.
“Dammit she got away!” Ari yelled as she threw he spear onto her back once again. “Hey, do you have any idea where the Band Of Seven would be?”
“I bet they would be in the main square or maybe the castle; the 2 places they didn’t burn down.” Haru said after thinking for a minute.
“Then let’s go.” Ari said running off towards the main square.

Chapter 12
Why does she insist on running everywhere? Haru thought as he ran panting behind Ari. And where does she get the energy?
I’m almost there, I hope they’re there! Ari thought as she turned to into the main square. She gasped; there was InuYasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku and Shippou. And the band of 7, everyone of them. Haru walked up behind her panting, totally out of breath and about ready to drop dead. Kiana jumped from him to her.
“Ari?” Kagome said being the first to stop her. Everyone seemed to stare at her.
She stood there staring at her father. Kagome looked at him for a second before putting the puzzle together.
Ari slowly began to walk towards everyone, not really sure of what side to go to. She turned to the band of seven and walked towards them. She stood next to her father a straight look on her face.
“Ari, but why?” Kagome asked.
“Family is more important than friends.” Ari said as if she had been taken over by some strange force.
“Too bad, we’ll just destroy you along with those filthy bastards.” InuYasha said crackling in knuckles.
The smoke had now cleared and the sun was near its peak in the sky.
“Who’s taking the first move?” Bankotsu asked.
“Be my guest.” InuYasha said pulling out the Tetsusaiga.
“I guess we’ll go first then.” Jakotsu said pulling out his sword as well.
“Gladly!” Ari said twirling the Shitobaru and throwing it at InuYasha who defected it easily. She pulled it back smiling evilly. Was this what it felt like to be bad? If it was she liked it.
“Is that all you can do?” InuYasha yelled.
“Try Me!” Ari said back throwing her spear at Kagome. She tried to run out of the way. She let out a scream as the Shitobaru embedded itself in her arm.
“Kagome!” InuYasha said pulling out the spear. “you bitch, and to think we ever let you stay with us!”
“It’s not my fault you can’t protect your gir-“ Ari said before falling to the ground. A voice rang though her head. ‘When the sun reaches it’s peak in the sky on a the day of a full moon. Thou shall become Youkai.’ It continued as a sharp pain ran thought out her body. The pain came from every bone in her body, they seemed as if they were on fire.
One final shot of pain rang though her body much worse than before, then it was all over. Ari slowly opened her eyes. the first thing she saw was her hand though it looked different somehow. Claws? She blinked her eyes a few times, she had claws. She pushed herself up into a sitting position. Everyone stared at her again, she didn’t like it.
“Un-braid your hair.” Bankotsu said from behind her. Ari grabbed the ribbon in her hair and pulled it out. She began to run her finger down it and pulled it out in front of to straighten it out. She gasped and looked at her hair again. It was silver with a bluish hint.
“What’s going on?” She asked in a panicked voice.
“You look exactly like your mother.” Bankotsu said.
“What does that mean!?” Ari asked.
“Your a half demon.” he said in barely a whisper.

Chapter 13
“I’m a half demon?” Ari asked barely able to even say the words. Bankotsu nodded. “Why did this never happen before?” She asked a little calmer.
“We had a priestess place a spell on you, as well as your brother. When you turned 14 your youkai side would awaken. You need to be careful, your first year of transforming is the most dangerous. If you lose your temper you’ll turn youkai.” He said bending down to her level.
“Aren’t I already youkai?” Ari said.
“Well yes, this only last until the new moon. That happens during the sunset.” He said acting a little more serious.
“Okay.” She managed to stutter. She stood up and picked up Shitobaru. “What are we waiting for?” Ari asked getting back to the fight.
“What’s keeping you?” InuYasha yelled as he ran towards Ari; bent on attacking her. He jumped and raised the Tetsusaiga at her. Before InuYasha could even blink Bankotsu stood in front of him holding the Tetsusaiga off. Ari jumped over them, pulling out her sword, and ran across InuYasha’s back. InuYasha yelled in pain, a smirk grew on Ari’s face as his blood splattered to the ground.
“Jakotsu, you take the demon slayer.” Renkotsu said, “Suikotsu, Kyoukotsu, you can kill that monk, Mukotsu, kill the girl and the fox, Ginkotsu, and I will help you.”
“Why do I always have to kill women, its just not as fun.” Jakotsu complained as he walked in front of Sango.
Sorry to leave everyone there but I’m beat dead, I just got back from a week of staying with my friend and I’ve had to unpack like all my stuff.

Please Please Please review! I don't care if its a bad review or not, (I've had enough crap with this story so far) JUST REVIEW!!!!!
Ari The Demon Slayer - September 20, 2005 03:31 AM (GMT)
Read my story! Somebody! its been 5 chapters since sombody reviewed! I'm desperate!
Also
Quick Poll!
Well I’m having a debate over who Ari wants to have as her mate, because there are only 2-3 more chapters where it doesn’t matter. Haru, or another guy, I can’t tell you too much but he’s a thunder demon, and lord of the eastern lands. Trust me, the new guy is really cool! (would I make a lame character? on second thought, don’t answer that.) I personally like the new guy better but I just can’t choose, they’re like my children! Who Ari goes with will effect the whole ending of the story and the next one and so I need you guys to figure out for me since I’ve been thinking about this for over 2 weeks! Its all up to you guys now! Good luck to you guys! (the new guy and Haru!)
Haru: 0
New Guy: 3
First to 7 wins!
Ari The Demon Slayer - October 4, 2005 12:09 PM (GMT)
The New Guy Won!
Long Author’s Note: Oh my gosh, its almost chapter 15! I remember when getting to chapter 3 was a big deal. Most of my stories die by chapter 2! Yay! Darkflame1516, you were the one who inspired me to write this next chapter, the bad thing about having writers blocks is that you lose some of your readers.
I’m going to let you decide, either I can make short chapters and update at least every week or make really long chapters and have them take like 2-3 weeks. Your choice, so tell me!
I hope to have a new chapter up by Monday morning. If I don’t have it up I’ll probably have it up by Wednesday morning! Okay, enough talk, on to the story! BTW in this chapter, I’m not going to focus on the other people’s fights, just InuYasha’s, so yea, here’s chapter 14!
Disclaimer’s Note: Don’t own InuYasha, sorry!

Chapter 14
InuYasha fell to the ground as Ari laid the point of Shitobaru on InuYasha’s neck. “Goodbye, InuYasha. It was nice knowing you.” She raised it above her head, “Have a nice time in hell!” before she could bring it down InuYasha grabbed her ankle and pulled her to the ground. He would have totally taken her out only he had to deal with Bankotsu as well. Ari stood up, rage flaming in her eyes, “God dammit, can’t you stay still!?”
“Well you can’t even kill me.” InuYasha spat back.
“What did you just say to my daughter?” Bankotsu asked as he held the Banryu next to InuYasha’s neck.
“I said she can’t kill me and nether can you!” He yelled as he pushed the Banryu away from him and punched Bankotsu square in the face. (NO!!) A sharp blade ran though InuYasha’s back. A soft chuckle came from behind him. He turned to face Ari holding Shitobaru at InuYasha’s neck again.
“Don’t move. Its easy enough for me to run this though your neck.” Ari said. She laughed as Banryu ran down his arm.
“Don’t underestimate us.” Bankotsu said.
“Now we’ll kill you.” Ari said as she jabbed the tip in his skin causing blood to run down his neck.
“Stop!” Kagome yelled. “Please, Ari, don’t kill InuYasha.” She asked in a pleading voice.
Ari looked at her father as if she asked that herself. She had realized a long time ago that she didn’t want to kill anyone. She had only kept on fighting to prove to her father she was as strong as he was. Bankotsu gave her a look to show he had given in.
“Band Of Seven! Retreat, we’ll kill these bastards another day!” Bankotsu said as he ran off into the woods.
“You got lucky.” Ari said to Kagome.
“Thank you.” Kagome said giving a small bow.
“I never even really wanted to kill him. I mean he is half human.” Ari said, “I don’t kill humans.” Kagome smiled as she ran off towards the band of seven.
“You know this isn’t going to be the last time we see her.” InuYasha angrily said.
“Yea.” Kagome said quietly.
