Title: A New Avatar

Kougagurl - July 10, 2005 01:43 AM (GMT)
Prince Zuko stared at the map in front of him, examining the best route to the Avatar's believed hiding place.
A soft knock came at the large wodden door of Prince Zuko's room.
"Come in." he grumbled.
"Prince Zuko?" came a voice.
The teenager looked up from his work. "Yes?"
"There's a girl here to see you."
"A girl?" He asked, confused.
The guard nodded. "Yes, a girl."
"Fine." The prince sighed. "Send her in."
The guard bowed, and walked out of the room.
A very few moments later a young girl walked in.
"Yes? Do you wish to inform me of something?" Prince Zuko asked.
The girl's clothing was odd, it didn't look like something the Earth Benders whould wear, and definitly not something those Water Benders would wear. And no way was it something a Fire Bender would wear.
"I wish to work as someone to track down the Avatar." She said.
Prince Zuko frowned, then stood up. He strode over to her, and stared into her eyes.
"Do you honestly know what your going to be up to?" He asked.
She nodded. "I have a friend...Who would also like to help."
Prince Zuko smirked. "And whose that?"
"Me." came a voice. A pretty young girl walked in, she was wearing red armor, and a skirt that looked like it was made from fur. Her black hair was cut short. "I was an Avatar...1,000 years ago."
Prince Zuko stared at her. "What? That's impossible!"
"It's not...There used to be 9 elements back then, so I'll be able to capture the Avatar no problem." She said.
Prince Zuko sighed, and sat down. "What are your name's?"
"Chikara." answered the first.
"Jade." The second answered.
"Fine..Go ahead and search out the Avatar...Bring him back to me alive." Prince Zuko said, waving his hand.
Jade left the room, but Chikara stayed in.
"What?" He asked, looking up at her.
"The pay...What shall it be?" She asked slyly, leaning on his desk. She looked into his eyes, her lips were playing into a slight smile.
"Erm....We'll decide that when you capture him." He said, a bit flustered. "Now..I gotta leave...Goodbye." he said, and walked out as fast as he could.
Chikara frowned, staring at his disappearing form. "....Goodbye then."

Chapter 1:
The Chaos begins

Aang stared up at the skies.
"Ahhhh! Beautiful day for flying, right Apa??" He asked his buffalo, patting it.
Sokka sighed. "Katara!!! Aang, where'd she go?" He asked, staring at the small boy.
"I dunno...She said something about water." He answered, climbing on to Apa. "C'mon Sokka, let's go!!"
"We can't go without Katara Aang!" He yelled.
"Oh, yea!" Aang said, and jumped off of Apa. "Well, Where should we search?"

Katara sighed, sitting by a lake. "I wish I was a better Water Bender..." She lazily lifted some water up, and twirled it in between her fingers.
"Hello there.." Said a chilling voice.
Katara turned around, dropping the water.
"Wha-?"
"Your the Avatar's friend....Aren't you?" said a girl. She looked no older than 15, a little older than Katara.
Katara looked at her. "Yes..." she said, looking at the girl, trying to figure out if she was with the fire nation.
"Good...Good...You'll work as a perfect hostage.." She said, and jumped at Katara.
"!!!EP!!!!" Katara put up her hands in defense.
"WATER RIP!!!" She yelled, slashing the air and sending a huge wave a Katara.
"...Water rip...?" Katara asked before the water smacked into her. If she's a water bender...why is she attacking me??
Katara hit against a rock and was knocked out.
"Hmp...your a weak little water bender...Aren't you??" Jade said, bending over and throwing Katara over her shoulder. "No match for even my water rip.."

IF YOU DO NOT READ AND REVIEW, I SHALL HUNT YOU DOWN AND KAZE NO KIZU THE HELL OUT OF YOU!

Chapter 2:
Avatar meets Avatar

Jade was sitting on a rock, staring at the girl in front of her.
"I still don't see why an Avatar would go through any risk to save
you...Your really not the strong...or intelligent.." Jade smirked, and
brushed away Katara's hair from her face.
"Maybe he thinks your pretty.." She commented.

"KATARA!!!" called Sokka. "Aang, where could she have gone to?"
"I don't know Sokka..." admitted Aang.
The two boys continued walking, stopping now and then to catch their
breath.
Aang paused. "Hey...Sokka? Do ya' hear that?" He asked.
"What?" asked Sokka, looking over at the other boy.
"Sounds like water...."
"Maybe Katara's by the water! Aang, let's go!" Sokka yelled, and
started running towards the water's noises.
Aang ran after him, hoping they would find Katara there.

Jade turned her head and the sound of people coming.
"Finally.." She muttered, then stood up.
Aang saw Katara laying on the ground.
"Katara---!!" He yelled, but was stopped when Sokka pointed
towards the other girl.
"Who are you?!" Sokka asked, his hands ready to fling his weapons
at the strangely dressed girl.
"I am Jade...The Avatar." She said, with a smirk.
"What?!" Aang and Sokka yelled.
"Your not the Avatar!!" Sokka yelled. "Aang is!!"
"Ha! You make me laugh...He's the Avatar of today...I was the Avatar..
and still am.." Jade said.
"And when was that?" Aang asked.
"Oh..." She started. "Well over 1,000 years ago.."
"What?!" Sokka looked at her. "There's no way you could be over
1,000!!! You look like you could be my girlfriend!!"
Jade giggled. "Oh, But I am...Haven't you ever heard of demons,
you silly little boy?"
"Demons..." Aang started. "Most of them died out...A long
time ago.."
"I know.." Jade said. "I'm one of the few that is still living."
"Why...Why did you kidnap Katara?!" demanded Sokka.
"I figured she'd be good bait for the new Avatar."
"What?!" The two yelled.
"Come...And Fight me..." Jade said, moving into a bending stance.
"Let's test the old avatar...against the new one."

Thank you very much!!!!! :narutoclap:

Chapter 3:
Elemental Clash

Aang stared at her.
"Are you serious?" He asked.
"Go Aang, it's a chance to prove how strong you are!" Sokka said.
Aang frowned. "I don't know Sokka..."
"But she has Katara!!! Ya' gotta save her Aang!!" Sokka yelled.
"Good point!" Aang got into a air bending stance. "Prepare to
surrender!" He said.
Sokka sighed, and looked at Momo.
"Can't he even say, 'Prepare to die' ?"
"Attack me Avatar...Show me what you can do!" Jade said.
"Fine!!" He shouted back at her, and shot a powerful gust of wind
at the girl.
"Feh...You are pathetic.." Jade said. The wind smacked into her
and sent her flying into the lake.
"Ha!" Sokka laughed. "Your the pathetic one!"
Aang smiled. "C'mon..Let's get Katara and get out of here..." He
began to pick Katara up when he heard an odd noise.
"Bubbling-...Water?" He said, and turned around.
The lake was turning red and bubbling crazily, something shot
from the middle of it and landed in front of Aang.
"Really...Do you think I would be killed so easily?" Jade said.
Aang backed up, letting Katara fall back to the ground. "Take this!"
He shot another gust of wind at the old Avatar.
"Hahahaa..." She laughed. "Fool...WATER RIP!!!" She yelled, and
slashed the air in front of Aang.

"Water--....Rip?" Sokka repeated. "She didn't even get any water..
and whats with the 'rip' part?"
A bluish rip appeared where Jade slashed the air, and a huge
tidal wave poured out all over the boy.
"Hey!!" yelled Sokka, running at her. "That's no fair!!!"
A girl landed in front of him. Her beauty was amazing.
"Won't you stay and play with me?" She asked, her green eyes
sparkling.
"Yea..." Sokka said, in a daze. "Sure...I'd love to.."
The girl laughed. "Your name's Sokka...Isn't it?"
Sokka nodded, drooling.
"Mine's Chikara."
"Chi-kara.....I love you."
Chikara smiled. "My spell is working perfectly.." She muttered.
Sokka smiled. "Have I told you how pretty you are??" He asked,
his eyes gazing at her beauty.
"No...Not yet you haven't.." She said, smiling at him.

Aang smacked against a large boulder. "No..." He moaned, and
fell to the ground.
Jade smirked. "The Avatar is alive, and now we can take him to
Prince Zuko."
"Right..." Chikara said, walking over. Sokka was trailing behind her
like a lost puppy.
"Can I follow you forever?" He asked.
"No." Chikara replied. "Let's go Jade."
Jade nodded, and handed her Aang.
"Goodbye Sokka, we may meet again..." Chikara said.
"Shadow Rip." Jade muttered, and the three disappeared.
Sokka stared at where Chikara had been standing.
"Would you like some tea...Mr. Penguin??" He asked, then fell
backwards on the ground. Snores soon filled the area.

Prince Zuko stared out at the mist, watching the waves smack
against his ship.
He heard footsteps behind him, coming closer.
"...Who is it?" He asked, with a sigh.
No response, just more footsteps.
Prince Zuko turned around to face the person.
It was a girl, she was wearing a long kimono. Her face was
expersionless.
"Who...Are you?" He asked, staring at the girl.
"....Lady Miko.." She said. Thunder echoed in the air above them.
"How'd you get aboard here?!" He demanded, getting ready to
attack her.
"I have...my ways." She said.
"Take this!!" He yelled, shooting fire at her.
"No." She responded, and shot a large ball of lightning at him.
"Ugh!!!" Prince Zuko hit the deck, rolling out of the way.
The girl laughed. "Bet you never have met...A Lightning Bender..."
"A...Lightning Bender?" He repeated.

Yuri Kuro - July 12, 2005 03:50 AM (GMT)
Let's see....among the original for there is shadow, lightning.....possibly light....all I can guess....good work ^^

Chapter 4:
Dignity

Prince Zuko stared at the girl. "There is no such nation!!"
"Oh...But there was...Long long ....long ago...Before the main
three nations killed our nation off..." The girl raised a glowing
hand. "Lightning Benders were always stronger than you
Fire Benders..."
"Then why'd your race die out?!" He yelled, with a smirk.
"Because...There were many more of you Fire Benders..
than of us Lightning Benders..." The girl shot another ball of
lightning at him.
Prince Zuko ducked. "Take this!!" He yelled, and shot her
with a powerful burst of flame.
Miko dodged it.
"We will meet again.." There was a large crack of thunder and
she was gone.
Prince Zuko stared at the spot where she had been standing.
"Other nations?" He asked himself, thinking.
A large black rip appeared in the sky, and Jade emerged from it.

"Did you fail your task like everyone else does?" He asked her.
"No...And why are you on the ground?" She asked, staring at him.
"Erm..No reason." He stood up. "And you, captured the Avatar?"
"No...Not really."
"Then you failed."
"Yep. And I passed." Chikara came out with Aang over her shoulder.
"You...Did it!" Prince Zuko said with a great laugh. "You really did do it!'
"Yep." Chikara said proudly. "How about we take the quick way to
the Fire Lord's house, and you can give him this."
Prince Zuko nodded. "I'll tell the Captain to turn the-"
"Oh no...We are so taking a rip outta here." Chikara said.
Jade nodded. "C'mon Prince Zuko!" She said.
Chikara handed him Aang. "You can hold onto him."
Prince Zuko smiled a bit. "I can't believe I've finally captured him..."
Chikara took his hand. "Now...Hold still and wait a moment."
Jade took a deep breath. "SHADOW RIP!!"
They all disappeared into the void.

Sokka woke up, rubbing his head
"Katara..Aang?" He called. He sat up slowly, and looked around.
Katara was near the water's edge, still asleep. Momo was on her
chest, curled up and sleeping.
"Katara!" He yelled, and crawled over to her. "Katara...Wake up!" He
said, shaking her gently.
"Huh...?" Her eyes opened slowly. "Sokka...?" She asked, staring
at him.
"Yes, It's me! Where's Aang? And Chikara...And that other one?!"
"Aang? I don't know...Whose Chikara?" She asked, sitting up.
"I don't know exactly, but I can't get the name outta my head!"

Katara rubbed her own head, and thought.
"I was down here.....Trying to Water Bend..And a girl came
to me...She was a way better Water Bender than I was, and
after that...I don't remeber anything."
Sokka stared at her, thinking hard. "Chikara...Aang..Avatars.."
Katara looked at him, confused.
"That's it!" He yelled. "Those two girls kidnapped Aang!!!"
Katara gasped. "No! They can't take him!!"
Sokka nodded. "Hurry, we gotta find Apa and get to Aang as
fast as we can!"
The two ran off, in search of the giant flying buffalo.

Prince Zuko was knelt at his own father's feet.
"Fire Lord..Father...I have brought you the Avatar.."
The Avatar was laying in front of Prince Zuko, still
knocked out.
"Great work son..." The Fire Lord laughed. "I believe your
dignity is restored now."
Prince Zuko smiled secretly, nearly over-bursting with joy.
"Thank you Father...You do not know how happy you have made
me.." Prince Zuko still remained kneeling, his face staring down
at the floor.
The Fire Lord sighed. "Zuko..Stand up."
Zuko scrambled to his feet, staring at his father.
"Have you found no one yet?" His father asked.
"What do you mean by that?" Prince Zuko asked.
"Have you naught found a women to rule by your side?"
"Erm..No..Not yet father.." Prince Zuko said, a tinge of blush
appearing on his face.
"You best hurry...That is the only way you can become the Fire
Lord..To find a women to rule at your side."

Chapter 5:
Jade and The Fire Lord

Prince Zuko laid in his old bed, staring up at the ceiling.
"I must find a women...A girl I may love..To rule by my side.."

Chikara in the other room was sound asleep, dreaming up
new ways to get Prince Zuko to like her.

Jade wandered the halls, her feet were whisper silent.
"..." She stared at an interesting picture. It showed the supposed
Avatar from 1,000 years ago. "Feh...They got my face all wrong."
Jade snickered under her breath, and kept walking.

"Excuse me.." came a dark voice.
Jade looked up and saw the Fire Lord staring at her.
"Oh Hello..." She said, with a gentle smirk.
"Why are you smirking at me? Do you think me funny?"
"No....I just think it's rather pathetic that it took the big strong
Fire Nation soooo long to capture one little kid."
"WHAT?!" He yelled, fire blowing around him. "You...Little...."
"Care for a duel? The last match I had was soooo very
boring.." Jade asked, going into a stance.
"You little insolent wench!! You shall cry your heart out after
I'm through with you!!" The Fire Lord went into his own stance.
"Take this!!" Jade yelled, and sent a large wave at him.
"So...Your a water bender...This will be easy..." He jumped
away and sent a large ball of flame at her.
"Ha!" Jade laughed. "Water Bender...Listen to him..." She
conjured a large ball of air that extiguished the fire.
"Wh-at....." The Fire Lord stared at her. "Your...Your an.."
"An Avatar. Yes...Yes I am." Jade smirked.
The Fire Lord backed up. "I shall capture you too then!!"
"Father!!" yelled a voice. "Don't! She's on our side!"
"What?!" He stared at Jade. "An Avatar....On the evil side??"

Chapter 6:
Chikara and Prince Zuko

"Yea...An Avatar on the bad side." Jade said with a smirk.
The Fire Lord looked at her, then turned and walked off.
Prince Zuko stared at her. "I think I'll go to bed now."
Jade watched him walk off. "Silly little Fire Benders.."

Zuko lay in his bed, tossing and turning. His father's words
echoed in his head.
"I must...find a women..." He muttered in his sleep.
Prince Zuko's door creaked open.
Chikara stood at the doorway, staring at the prince before her.
She gave a small laugh, and walked over to the side of his bed.
"Prince Zuko.." She whimpered.
"Huh...?" He said sleepily, trying to focus.
"There are no more beds for me..."
"....." Prince Zuko seemed to be falling asleep again.
"May I sleep in here..? With you?" She asked.
"MmHm.." He muttered, turning over to lay on his belly.
"Thank you.." She whispered with a smirk. She climbed into
his bed, laying on the other side of him.
"This shall be easier than I thought..." She said quietly.
"MmHmmm.." muttered Prince Zuko.

The sleepy prince opened his eyes at the crack of dawn.
In front of them a sleeping Chikara lay.
"!!!!WHAT THE?!!!" He yelled, backing away and falling off
the bed's edge.
"M...mmmm..." Chikara yawned, she began to sit up, and stared
around. "Prince...Zuko? Where'd he go??"
"I'm down here..." The disguntled prince mumbled from the floor.
"Oh...There you are!" Chikara said, looking over the edge at him.

Chapter 7:
The misty shower

Katara and Sokka rode on, trying to find the Fire Lord's castle.
"Where could it be?!" Sokka yelled, looking below him.
"Yea...We should've seen it by now..." muttered Katara.
A large castle appeared at the bottom of the hill they were flying above.
"Maybe that's it!!" yelled Sokka.
"Let's go and find out!!" Katara said.

"Fire Lord's castle??" An old lady laughed. "You thought this here was the
Fire Lord's castle!! That's a good one..."
"Well Grandma...Perhaps you will tell us where the real castle is?"
"MmMmh...The real castle is located in a valley very far from here."
The old woman said.
"How long of a journey is it?" asked Sokka.
"At least a 7 week journey on foot."
"WHAT?!!" screamed Sokka.
"At least a 4 week journey by sea."
"And what about air?" asked Katara.
"Air? How would you go about traveling in the air?" The woman asked.
"We have a flying buffalo..Okay?" Snapped Sokka.
"Well...By air....It may take 3 weeks." The woman said, thinking.
The two groan. "Thankyou Grandma....We'll be leaving now!"
The old woman nodded. "A flying buffalo...I'd like to see one of
those one day.."

Jade walked through the halls, staring at various paintings on the
walls.
"Hmp...All horrible.." She muttered. "I think these deserve to burn.."
She held up a hand to one and it burst into flames.

Chikara stared at Prince Zuko the entire day.
"What?!" He demanded, while making his bed.
"Nothing..." She muttered, her eyes dazling at him.
Prince Zuko sighed, and went back to making his bed.
"I'll be right back..I'm gonna go take a shower.." He said.
Chikara nodded.
He left the room, and a few moments later, Chikara followed after
him.

Prince Zuko sighed as the hot fresh water hit his body.
"Finally...I haven't bathed in forever..." He squinted his eyes
through the misty showering room. "Is someone there?" He
called out.

Chikara emerged from the mist, her arms folded across her
bare chest.
"!!!!" Prince Zuko blushed a deep color. "Chikara! I didn't know.."
Chikara silenced him by kissing him deeply on his lips.
Prince Zuko was shocked, but didn't pull away. He held her closer
to him, deepening the sudden kiss.
Chikara didn't seem to mind. A smirk seemed to be forming at her
lips...But it was pretty hard to tell.

The Fire Lord walked into the showering room, laying his towel down
on the bench outside of it.
He looked around, trying to see if anyone else was in there. It wasn't
that he didn't want anyone to see him, it was just that he needed
someone to talk about war with him. He thought he could see
a form of someone through the mist. The Fire Lord walked closer,
trying to see if anyone was there.

Prince Zuko opened his eyes for a moment, to stare down at the
girl kissing him. Instead he noticed another person walking
towards them.
"Oh no.." He whispered.
Chikara pulled away.
"Wha-?...!!!!!!"
The Fire Lord had grabbed the girl by her hair.
"So...This is what you think will do for your women??!!" He yelled.
"Fa-ther...I...--" Prince Zuko began.
"NO! This is an OUTRAGE!!" His father yelled, yanking the girl up
by her wet black hair. " No more than a common wench she is!!!"
"No! Father!!" He yelled.
Chikara whimpered in pain.
"You are a disgrace to the Fire Nation!!!" His father yelled, still holding
the whimpering Chikara.
"Father!! STOP!!!" Prince Zuko yelled, trying to get Chikara away from
his angered father. "Please!! I really like her!!! She's nice!!!"
His father grabbed Chikara instead by the neck. "She won't live any
longer..." He said. He lifted Chikara into the air, and began to heat up his
other hand. "She shall...Burn to death."

Chapter 8:
Katara and the Ice Prince

Katara and Sokka held on tight to Apa.
"HOW LONG TIL YOU THINK WE'LL GET THERE??!!!!" yelled
Sokka above the roaring winds.
"I DUNNO!!!!!" Katara yelled back at her brother.
The two leaned close to Apa, trying to get warmer. The loud
winds began to turn painful, burning their faces until they had to
lean close to Apa for protection.
Apparently the flying buffalo didn't mind too much, he kept flying
through the harsh winds, set on a destination.
"AH!!" Katara screamed, an ice crystal hit her cheek and drew up
blood.
"AH!!" Sokka screamed as well, ice crystals hitting him too.
The two kids leaned closer, giving yells each time a chip of
ice made it to their skin and cut them.
Katara looked up a bit, and swore she saw someone standing in
the air.
"WHOSE THERE?!!!" She yelled, sitting up.
Sokka looked back at his sister, wondering why she was sitting now.
"AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" Katara screamed, something grabbed her around
the waist, and knocked her straight off Apa.
"KATARA!!!!!" yelled Sokka.
Katara seemed to be floating in the air.
Sokka stared hard at her, and realized a man was holding her.
"APA!!! TURN AROUND!!!" Sokka yelled.
Apa merely grunted, and stayed on his original course.
"Katara..." Sokka whispered, watching the man float off with his
sister.

Katara woke up inside of a cave, it was dimly lit and very warm.
She sat up, looking around.
A man was sitting near her, staring at her. His hair was silver, and
his eyes were a stunning blue.
"Who...Are you?" He asked.
"Katara...Water Bender...And you?" She asked.
"Ice Prince....Ice Bender.." He said, smiling at her.
"Ice....Bender??" She asked, confused.

Chapter 9:
Lovely Spell

"No father!!! You can't!!" yelled Prince Zuko.
"I can..and I will!!!" He began to move towards burning Chikara
to death.
"NO!!!" Prince Zuko yelled. He dove at his father, tackling him
down.
Chikara fell to the floor, she didn't make a move to get up and run away.
Instead she simply sat up and backed away from the two Fire
Benders.
"GET OFF OF ME!!" yelled the Fire Lord, pushing his son off of him.
"Father! Please don't kill her!!" Prince Zuko demanded.
"I will kill her...But not yet." The Fire Lord stood up and walked out of
the shower room, leaving the two alone.
"Chikara.." Prince Zuko started.
"I'm leaving." She said. "After all...You don't really love me." Chikara
stood up and began walking towards the door. "Goodbye Prince."
She said, tears in her eyes. And with that she ran off, probaly to tell
Jade it was time to go.

Prince Zuko sat on his bed, his face in his hands.
"What to do..What to do..." He moaned, trying to think.
"Prince...Zuko?" came a quiet voice.
He looked up and saw Chikara standing there.
"I..wanted to say goodbye...One last time." She said.
Prince Zuko stood up, his hand reaching out for hers.
"Please...Stay here..." He begged.
"No..I can't...Your father is right...You deserve better than a
common wench..." Chikara looked away from the Prince's
eyes, and to the floor.
"Chikara...You can't leave..." Prince Zuko said. "I...I really
do like you..." He stuttered out. "I don't know how...I just..
do..."

Chikara looked back into his eyes.
"Listen...The only reason why you like me is because I'm a
seductress...A stupid wench that loves men to drool over her..."
Prince Zuko was astonded.
"You mean...I don't really love you..." He let go of her hands.
Chikara nodded.
"You mean.....You tricked me into loving you!!" Prince Zuko yelled.
He backed away. "Get...Get out of here...Don't come back!"
Chikara's eyes watered, she backed away from him as well.
"Goodbye..Prince Zuko..." She said. "Until we meet again.."
Chikara ran out the door, crying the whole way.

The Ice Prince gave Katara a bowl of soup.
"Here...Drink this..It'll make you feel much better."
She nodded and began to slurp it down.
"Thankyou very much.." She muttered.
He nodded. "Why were you traveling in such cold and harsh
weather?"
"We have a friend we had to save..." She said, putting the bowl
down. "His name is Aang..He's the new Avatar."
"A new..." He paused. "Whoa, wait a minute! The Avatar...Wow.."
Katara nodded. "Someone kidnapped Aang..Someone from
the Fire Nation we think.."
"Oh no...That's terrible.." The Ice Prince said, staring down at
the ground.
"I know! And now they will kill him after they get their power
restored!!" Katara said.

Chapter 10:
The Avatars' thoughts

Aang hung his head low. His was chained up just like the last
time he was captured.
"I failed..." He whimpered in self-pity. "There's no way I can ever
complete learning the other elements now..."

Jade sat on her bed, staring at the ceiling.
"Why I'm I still here? I already captured the Avatar...And Chikara is
gone as well....So why am I still here?" She asked herself again.
Jade rolled to her side, now staring at the wall.
"I should free him...I should free him, Prince Zuko would still have
his diginity.....And the Avatar would be freed..." She groaned,
putting her hands over her eyes. "I don't know what to do..."

Aang stared at the ground, his eyes watering. "It's just not fair..."
He whimpered, thinking of Katara and Sokka.
"Not fair..." He sobbed. "Not fair..."
The door to his dungeon creaked open.
Aang barely raised his head to see who it was.
Jade stood there, her face was pale.
"Ja-de..." He muttered, then his face turned hard and cold.
"Listen.." She started.
"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!" He yelled, trying to free himself.
Jade looked frightened.
"IT'S YOUR FAULT I'M HERE AND THE WORLD'S GONNA
DIE!!!!" He kept struggling against the chains that bound him to the
wall.
Jade walked closer to him, and silenced him with her finger.
"Sssh..." She muttered. "Hold still.."
Aang didn't understand, but held still.
"Fire Rip.." She muttered, and cut the chains that held him.
"Wha-t..." Aang muttered, staring at his wrists.
"....C'mon...I'm freeing you Avatar." She muttered. "Shadow Rip."
A large black rip appeared in the air.
"Come...Hurry.." She muttered, and took him by the hand.
Jade dragged him along in the rip.
Aang stared with amazement at the grey matter floating gently
around him.
Jade looked on with consentration, dragging him along.
Aang looked at the girl dragging him along.
"Why..Is he helping me?" He thought.

Chapter 11:
The two Avatars.

Jade stopped in the middle of the Shadow Rip.
"I can hear your thoughts Avatar..." She muttered.
"What?!" He yelled.
"You were just wondering why I was helping you..." Jade said, looking up at the endless ceiling above them. "And...To tell you the truth...I don't know.." Jade stared back at him with a gentle look. "What elements have
you completed learning Aang?"
"Well...Air obviously..." Aang said, relaxing a bit. "And I'm nearly done with Water as well." He gave a happy
big smile.

Jade sighed and shook her head. "Only those two? You still have many many to go.."
"What...Are you talking about?" He asked. "All I have is Earth and Fire to master."
"No Aang...Still there are Shadow and Light. Ice and Floral. And Thunder of
course." Jade sighed. "You were doomed from the beginning..."
Aang stared at her. "Wha...What do you mean?"
"You were supposed to master all of those elements before the
comet came...." She said. "When there was almost no knowledge that
another five elements existed." Jade looked at the ground and plopped down.

"Oh.." Aang muttered, and sat down next to her.
Jade looked over at him, with a slight smile on her face.
"But now...I can teach you..You can bring the Fire Nation to their
knees."

Katara sipped her hot drink slowly, allowing the hot liquid to
slide down her cold throat.
The Ice Prince stared at her. "Is it working well?" He asked.
Katara nodded, still drinking from the mug.
"It's wonderful..." She said in awe, setting the now empty mug
down in front of her.
"So...You need to save the Avatar..." He said, looking into her
face.
Katara nodded.
"Or else the Fire Nation will take over..."
"MmHm..." He muttered, looking away again.
Katara folded her arms across her chest.
"It's all my fault...If I hadn't been kidnapped...Aang wouldn't have
been captured..." She began to cry bitterly.
The Ice Prince frowned, then put a hand on her shoulder.
"It's alright...I'll help you save him..." He said, with a small smile.
"You will?" She sobbed, looking up into his face.
"I will..." He said with a bigger smile. "So..Tell me...Do you
love the Avatar?"
"Do I love...Aang?" Katara blushed deeply. "Nonononononono!!!"
The ice Prince smiled.
"Why?" She asked.
"I was just wondering."

((Okay, I'm bumping this for two reasons:
1. I'm updating it.
2. A few people asked me about it and where it went to))

Katara looked down at the brightly burning fire, feeling her face turn red.
"Um....So why did you only bring me here..And not my brother as well?" She asked, looking back up at him.
He looked up at the ceiling, adverting her gaze.
"I've been watching you for a long time...And I've decided it's time to make you mine." He looked back down at her, his eyes burning with something unknown to Katara.
"Wha--?" She stood up, and started to back away from him. One hand moved towards the small jug filled with water at her side.
"Don't bother." He said, pinning her to the ground. "It'll be frozen solid by now."

Jade stood up.
"Okay...First element I'll teach you is shadow..but first...We'll go back to the castle."
Aang stared at her.
"Why?" He demanded.
"Because...If they notice us both gone, they'll get suspicious." She answered plainly, and guided him back to his dungeon.
She helped him into his shackles and sighed.
"Sorry I have to chain you up like this." She said, with a sad smile. Jade turned and walked out of the room, leaving Aang in the dark room by himself.

Chapter 13:
Prince Zuko's Admirer

Prince Zuko sat in his room, hands on his knees and face in his hands.
"What will I do?" He asked himself. "Father was right..That wench was nothing but a commoner." He looked over at the two swords hanging from his wall with a frown. "It was only weeks ago.." He muttered, remebering how he had become the 'Blue Spirit' and saved Aang from his father. True, it was treason, but if he hadn't freed the Avatar he would have lost all hope of restoring his honor.
Prince Zuko sighed heavily and rubbed his sore temples with his free hand.

The door to his room creaked upon with a slight creak, but it was enough to alert Zuko.
He jumped to his feet, and put fists out in front of him.
"Uncle?" He called, walking closer to the door with careful measured steps.
A single red envelope slid across the floor and into his room. It skidded to a stop in front of his bare feet. The door creaked again, and it closed shut. Footsteps outside in the hall could be heard, and soon they disappeared.
Zuko bent door, one ungloved hand reaching out and snatching the envelope.
"What's this?" He merely asked, and slit it open. A piece of paper was inside, and like the envelope holding it, it was red.
He carefully took the letter out and examined the front of it, and two words were scrawled on the front of it.
'Prince Zuko'
He stared at his name for a moment before opening the letter as well. His golden eyes skimmed over the words as he read them, both widening as he finished the letter.
Prince Zuko felt weary, his legs felt like they were turned into jelly. He thought that he must've gained a thousand pounds in that one moment. His heart sped up a bit, and he collapsed onto his bed. The hand that had been closed tightly around the letter opened up, and released the small piece of paper to the floor.
It danced for a moment in the air before landing on the ground, where it sat for the rest of the day.

Jade walked down the hallways, slippered feet moving faster and faster. Her heart was beating faster than normal, and she had to stop at the end of the hall to catch her breath.
"I did it.." She gasped out. "He knows now." She breathed out all the stress and anguish inside of her and inhaled all the happiness and love. Jade straightened her form, rolled her shoulders and head once around, and continued down the hallway to her room.

My Dear Loving Zuko,
Words cannot express
What has been long held inside my chest,
Love and passion burning like fire,
making me shier and shier.
The only words I can bare to say,
"I love you, I love you" Is that okay?
The Great Fire Lord has passed on,
and now you have the chance to carry on.
Carry on the Fire Nation,
with strong devotion.
But one last thing deed is left undone.
The choosing of a woman.

((Yes, I very well realize that 'undone' and 'woman' don't work..))

Chapter 14:
The Ice Prince's Will

Katara stared up at the Ice Prince in terror, trying to shrink away from his leering face.
"It's no good.." He muttered. "You can't escape me."
Katara felt ice growing up to her knees, holding her down tight.
He pinned her arms down as well, and ice began to grow around them as well.
"Are you scared?" He asked, an evil smirk on his face.
Katara whimpered, turned her head away. She wouldn't give him the satisfaction on seeing her cry or grovel. She would be strong.
The Ice Prince laughed, grabbed her chin roughly and yanked it back to face him.
"I asked you a question wench." He said with another smirk. "Are you scared?"
Katara blinked once, she only had one shot at this. She opened her mouth, as if to answer...And spit at him. The spit quickly turned into ice over his nose, making him howl with rage.
"You little---" He yelled, trying to bend it off of him. The Ice Prince stood up, scratching at the ice covering his sensitive nose.
Katara looked at the ice binding her, it was so tightly bound that she couldn't even wriggle a single toe or finger. She twisted herself, which only made her feel even worse when the ice scraped open her dark skin. Katara looked around, her eyes widening.
"It's hopeless..." She whispered to herself.
The Ice Prince turned back to her, anger red scratch marks all over his face now.
"You little---" He drew a jagged dagger from a small pouch at his hip and rounded upon her. The Ice Prince pressed the dagger against her neck, producing a small droplet of blood. "Now...I'm going to kill you." He snarled.

Prince Zuko stood with everyone else of the Fire Nation, all of their heads bowed in a reverent silence.
"--He was a great man...Who lead our Nation to many a victory!! And the only way we can ever amount up to what he was, is by carrying on the cause of the Great Fire Nation---"
Fancy words. Zuko thought bitterly. He wasn't that great...He banished me...He made me chase after the Avatar;a lost cause, for years. And they dare call him great?! But no matter how much Zuko had dispised his father, he still felt a single tear slide down his cheek from his normal eye.

Chapter 15:
Katara's Power

Jade stared over at Prince Zuko, her own eyes watering. She gasped lightly when she saw a single tear cascade down his cheek.
He's....crying? She wondered silently. They had placed her right next to Zuko, in case any of the Earth Nation decided to take advantage of the Fire Lord's death and try to kill the only blood heir. And if they killed Zuko there would be a huge fight over who the new Lord of the Fire Nation would be, and that would take up too much time. Jade looked away as fast as possible, Zuko had noticed her prolonged gaze. She could feel his amber eyes resting upon her, and it felt like they weighed twenty times her own weight. Jade felt herself blushing and silently chided herself for doing so.
Has he stopped looking at me yet? Should I look at him? What should I say? Maybe I should wait until the ceremony's over. Yea..That sounds good. Oooo But I can't, he'll look away by then. And even if he hasn't looked away by then I don't think I can wait another minute under his gaze!! Jade's mind was going to fast for her to think clearly now. Only one thought bounced freely around her head.
Face him.
Not being able to stand it any longer, she turned to look up into his own eyes.
Jade felt the blush doubling on her cheeks when her eyes and his eyes met each other. Her own amber eyes stared up at his, eyelids closing as she leaned even closer to him.
Close your eyes.
She did as her mind told her, not caring that everyone around would be able to see them if they kissed. All she cared about was him, and him alone. She wanted to be with him. She wanted his strong arms to wrap around her body. She wanted to feel his hot breath against her neck. She wanted him to love her as much as she loved him.
Jade's hand rested against his clean chest armor, and her lips parted ever so slightly. She felt his body leaning into her's and her heart might've skipped a few beats, but she couldn't think about anything anymore. Her head was as clear as a clean lake that a Water Bender had just froze. She could hear his breathing now, the hot steamy breath from which he breathed fire from sometimes, and even felt some against her cheek. Their lips met.

Katara screamed as loud as possible, knowing that death was now upon her and it was useless to resist him anymore.
The dagger cut into her soft flesh, making her scream stick inside her throat.
"Please." She whispered. "No..."
He merely smiled, raised the dagger high into the air, and brought it crashing down on her neck.
Katara winced, but no pain came. She opened one eyelid shakily, just in time to see Sokka tackling the Ice Prince down to the ground. She looked at the ice holding her down, and then at her cut neck. She took a deep breath, and the ice formed around her neck with a bright blue light. It disappeared, and her neck was fine. Katara pushed off the ground shakily, and looked over at Sokka.
Sokka had the Ice Prince pinned down to the ground with one of his boomerangs, and was puncing the man as hard as he could.
"You..." A punch. "Don't..." Another punch. "Hurt.." A third punch. "Her!!" He punched a final time, knocking the unsuspecting Ice Prince out cold. Sokka stared down at the man in disbelief, looked at Katara with a huge smile on his face. But the smile slide off of his face when he noticed the look on Katara's face.
"Katara..." He whispered quietly. "Are you going to be okay?"
"I just..." She crossed her arms tightly across her chest. "Need some time.."
He nodded, one hand resting lightly upon her shoulder. He dragged her close to him, and gave her a tight hug. "It's okay now.."
She stared at the cave wall behind Sokka, watching the sillhouttes of the flames dancing across the wall. "I.." she began to sob. "Was so scared Sokka..I thought he was going to kill me...He tried to kill me.." She sobbed even harder into his blue kimono.
"It's okay..." He whispered, patting her back gently. "I'm here now."

Chapter 16:
Zuko's Dark Past

Prince Zuko was troubled. Very troubled. He stared at the banner over his bed that held the infamous fire emblem. He closed his eyes, trying to forget.
"I don't want to remeber anymore." He whispered. "Go away."
A younger Zuko walked through the halls of the Fire Nation castle.
"I'm sooooo bored!!" He yelled out, stretching his arms up to the ceiling.
"Then try to improve your bending..It's horrible." Said a voice he had come to despise.
"Zula!" he yelled, turning to face his elder sister. "Why can't you just leave me alone?" He asked, glaring at her.
Zula shrugged.
"I hate you...And you hate me..You deserve a hard slap across the face one of these days Zuko."
Zuko glared at her.
"Just leave me alone.." He turned and started walking down the hallway, slippered feet barely making a sound.
"He hates you too." She called after him.
Zuko clenched his fists together, and gritted his teeth. He held back tears that had been threatening to spill for days and days now. He pretended to be brushing away a stray bang while wiping away a tear. Just a few days ago his father told him what he really thought of his only son. And Zuko didn't like it.

Sokka helped Katara onto Appa, she had fallen asleep in his arms.
"Yip yip." He said with a sigh as he clambered onto Appa's back. "Hurry to the Fire Nation Appa." He said.

Zuko closed his eyes hard, not wanting to remeber again.
"Go away..." He whimpered. "Please...Leave me."
"Your sister is lucky." The Fire Lord said, one arm around Zula. "Your just lucky to be born."
"I don't want luck.." He whispered through gritted teeth. "I don't want it..It's fool's gold.." He rolled over and fell into a fitful sleep.

Jade sat on her bed, cheeks rosy and pink with excitement.
"I can't believe it." She said with a sigh as she collapsed on the bed. "He likes me...He really does like me." She sighed happily again and closed her eyes. "He really likes me." She whispered one more time before falling asleep.

General Iroh was making his way to Zuko's room. Something told the old uncle that something was very wrong with his nephew. One wrinkled hand placed itself on the door frame and pushed it gently open.
"Zuko?" He called out quietly. "Zuko?" Iroh's eyes scanned the room until the landed on his nephew's sleeping form. He walked over, and placed one hand on Zuko's shoulder. "You are bothered dear nephew.." He said, as if Zuko was awake. "I know...Your father wasn't a good father...But you must forgive him..And your sister."
