I think he really wants Kagome deep down, for one reason: she likes him as a hanyou and doesn't want him to use the Jewel to become a full demon or a full human with it.

Also, I think he'd choose Kagome for another reason: he can father kids with her too. Because of Kikyo being resurrected like she is, I think Kikyo's physically incapable of bearing children now.

I'd like InuYasha to forget about Kikyo completely and focus on Kagome, mostly because it's obvious to me that Kikyo's managed to get over him. InuYasha deserves each and every 'sit' that Kagome gives him for trying to think he can still be with Kikyo.

"Kikyou" is the the kikyou you like. The one brought back to life. Kikyou is kagome.

I really don't like it when people analyze Kikyou and Kagome as the same person. In reality, yes they are, due to reincarnation, but they still are two different people. It's quite apparent that Kagome can't really accept the fact that she is indeed the reincarnation of Kikyou.

Oops! A double-post! Yes and also, Kagome's I think's more suited to InuYasha now. The half of the soul that resurrected Kikyo now has is the bitter and sad dark half, while Kagome's got the cheery, loving, bright half. They may explain why Kagome's so cheerful all the time too, while Kikyo's seemingly so gloomy and sad feeling so much.

50 years ago in the anime, Kikyou defently, now in the anime Kagome because of the reasons Patriot1776 listed in his first post. I have not read the manga sadly so all my decisions are based on the anime.

Yes. Inuyasha should be pickin Kagome. I wonder what they're gonna do after the jewel's done though. Kagome can't go back to the fuedal era without the jewel shards.
