Phase One: Disguising Skies


That song, it sounds so familiar, like I’ve heard it somewhere before, could it

be, the same lullaby you sung to me mother? Am I really dead am I awake? Am I

in this world torn from reality to be tossed aside and replaced because am not

good enough. Am not good enough to pilot, something my mom risked her life

over, is that true? Is anything true, does father care she is dead? Does he care am

dead, it’s over, like a dream, and I slept to long now and can’t wake up. I want to

live, but I want to be with my mother, so I’ll fight inside you, Unit 01. I’ll fight

inside you, mother, your spirit is here and I can feel it. I can break through these

skies and fight! Cause am Shinji Ikari, am Unit 01’s son!

“Shinji! Wake up and stop daydreaming why am I forced to work with such amateurs!” Asuka yells through her speaker in her Unit 02. “I didn’t leave Germany to face difficulties and disobedience!” Rei tore out of the skies being chased down by an Angel, she was cool and collected as usual, no use of showing emotions to someone who doesn’t care if you live or die. “Unit 00 coming in for final attack on Angel.” She spoke swiftly to the listening Misato. “Great Rei, finish the job and come back.” She answered her. Asuka turned around in her Unit 02 and helped Rei chase the Angel down, while Shinji fought one on his own. It opened its mouth, its teeth covering every side of its throat. Shinji lifted his hands and caught the Angel’s jaws as they began to collapse down on Unit 01’s body.

“Get off!” he yelled pushing it back and taking out the Unit 01 switch blade. The Angel bite down on the switch blade, it jetting out of it’s skull and it flopping down to the ground, sending a mountain of smoke and clashing buildings into nothing but flat rubble. “Your not getting all the glory Rei, I won’t allow it!” Asuka yelled as she flew right past Rei shoving her Unit 00 to the side so she could get the jump on the Angel, but the Angel maneuvered fast and moved out of the way, being in back of Asuka’s Unit 02, she looked around furiously searching for the Angel not knowing it was behind her. “Asuka behind you!” Shinji yelled alarming her but it was too late.



Clinche' Haha hope you like my story, I have worked really hard on it. Am positive everything is spelled correctly, only mistakes could be like three fragmentations. I will fia those later. My favorite show while in Germany, so I had to make a fanfic about it.

Phase One: Disguising Skies Continued


As it melted the metal of Unit 00. Rei had moved Asuka’s Unit 02 out of the way and took the hit, her Unit 00 being damaged and her synch being burned made her scream in agony as her machine went crashing to the ground. “Rei!” Shinji yelled holding out his hand as if trying to catch her from falling. Asuka grabbed her face and screamed. "Dummes Mädchen! Sie sind gerechte Vertretung aus, Ihr Nr. besser dann jedermann!” Asuka getting upset over Rei’s betrayal for trying to save her, she took out her jagged switch blade for Unit 02 and charged the Angel, breaking the blade in the stomach of the angel, sending it crashing to the ground. “Misato you have to help Rei...” Asuka spoke silently, her voice felt with sadness and guilt for Rei. “Of course, Ritsuko send someone down there for Rei and Unit 00. Please make sure to contact Commander Ikari and also Ms. Ibuki for repairs on the Units.” Misato ordered. Shinji flew back down to the ground and checked Rei’s condition by unlatching the synch she was in. “Don’t die Rei, don’t die.” He replied over to her hoping she would hear him, and hang on till help arrived. Rei lifted her hand and put it on her forehead, feeling blood was natural for her she couldn’t be hurt anymore. All the battles she had before Shinji or Asuka even begun to fight with her as a team. But she wondered as her eyes began to black out along with her eyesight to become blurry.

“Why? “ She whispered weakly. Shinji bent down to hear her, with her head resting I his lap. “Why what?” he asked. “I’ve watched out for myself and no one else but now, I risked my safety with thinking or any hesitations or doubts in my mind. I pushed Asuka away and now, I lye here thinking still why did I do it Shinji? Why?” Shinji laughed and brushed back her bangs. “Because you’ve noticed that our battles aren’t one stage, their fought together as a team. Unit 00, Unit 01, and Unit 02, meant to be together to protect this world.” Shinji answered her. Rei closed her eyes and blacked out, thinking still about the question she asked. “That’s a strange answer.” She thought.


Now thats Phase one for you. ^.^ I tried my best so please read. I will continue to update this story, and am open for constructive critism, I will make this story better everyday. So please continue to read.

Phase Two: Rei Ayanami (The First Child)

It was the same memory again, the same one, exactly the same and never

changed or altered to fit someone’s desires. Rei Ayanami, myself I am ‘The First

Child’ to be born and to fight in this world that never rests. The people all thriving

to survive, but why do they wish to survive in a world that has never ending

battles and deaths? Why can’t I remember what it felt like to feel some type of

emotion? I can’t feel sadness and I can’t feel anger, depression, or confusion. No

one else has this burden to bare this path to cross or to dissemble to find the truth.

Am I real? Am I a doll? What am I? Can I be human? Can I be anything that

makes any sense to me something I won’t question, but to simply agree? Without

the doubts, I want to stay emotionless, and then I will not become attached.

Attached to a world where there is endless fighting, where I will think without

doubt or hesitations.

“When will she wake up?” Shinji asked Ms. Misato a second time because the first answer seemed wrong to him. “Am sorry Shinji but she’s unconscious and now she is something more of a ‘Stand Still’ or vegetable state where her body decides when to wake up.” Misato told him again. “But we need her, when we fight the Angels is there nothing you can do?” he asked his eyes still attached to the glass. Misato began to walk away, leaving Shinji to know there was nothing left for them to do. “Am sorry Shinji.” She replied, she walked out of the infirmary and down the hall to the main control room. “Is he still there will Rei?” Commander Ikari replied as he watched the screens. Misato saluted and spoke clearly to him. “Yes Sir Commander Ikari, Shinji is still there with Rei.” Gendo sat down and sighed as he watched the screen.

“Rei is destined for recovery; she’s always been that way.” He thought to himself. “You dismissed.” He waved to Misato to tell her to leave. Asuka was in her room, taking a shower in her private bathroom. Standing under the showers pounding cold water as it hit her hair, sliding down her face, down the rest of her body. She looked up from the ground and looked into the pouring water that was going down her face now; she closed her eyes and saw only explosions. “Rei...” she murmured. She slapped her hand down on the tile that built up the walls. “Why? Why did she do that for me?” she asked herself angrily.


Sorry but am just in a writing mood, so I decided to update again. Please enjoy for who ever reads this.

(( Rest of Phase Two. ))

Phase Two: Rei Ayanami (The First Child) Continued.

She hopped out of the shower wrapping a towel against her body before walking to her room; she sat on her bed, and lied down on her side. Closing her eyes she could only repeat the scene where she saw guilt for the first time. “Am...am...sorry...” she whispered to herself. Shinji walked the hallways sliding his hand down the walls still thinking of Rei’s condition. “I should have been faster then she wouldn’t have been hurt...” he scolded himself repeatedly but if he had go madder at himself, he would slam his fist into the wall along the way. Shinji eventually ran into Asuka who sat on the bottom steps, looking at the ground. “Shinji, I mean don’t sneak on me like that!” She yelled as she hopped up from the stairs.

“Unlike you, am stronger and am not sulking like you are now over Rei who just got in my way. I mean all she does is get in my way, she’s too emotionless to take a hint that I don’t need her help as long as I have Unit 02.” She replied while crossing her legs and arms. “Don’t kind yourself, you know you feel guilty.” Shinji replied, his eyes filled with sincerity and sadness. Once Asuka caught eyes with him, she felt everything he felt again. “Don’t look at me that way Shinji I could care less on what happened to Rei!” she yelled, she got up abruptly and headed for the stairs. Shinji held out his hand and caught her wrist stopping her from climbing anymore steps. “Shinji let go of me!” she yelled full of Germen accent. Her tears glimmered from her eyes as she shook her head and they began to fall catching Shinji’s eyes to them. He pulled her down the stairs and once she opened her mouth to say something else she was stopped by the close embracive hug he had gave her. “Shinji...What are you doing?” she thought but she did not struggle from his arms.

Phase Three: Overflowing Feelings

I don’t know why he did that? Why did he hug me as if he liked me, and why

didn’t I break free from it. He walks around as if nothing has ever happened

between us. I mean there is no us between Shinji and I. Why does he act as if

there was every one? I mean why I am thinking as if there is something. We are

team mates, partners, never to love each other or to like each other. Am too good

for Shinji so I know he cannot do that again to me. He can’t I won’t allow it to

happen to me again the second time. No other time, even though I couldn’t break

free from his grasp because I didn’t want too. Asuka Langley Soryu does not fall in

love. I won’t fall in love, but I can’t control my heart.

Shinji has been by Rei’s side the whole time, watching to see if she was alright, while Asuka has been biting her nails down to the nubs by her certain dilemma. It seemed as if time stood still, everything stood still while Rei was in a coma. The Angels were becoming stronger as Shinji felt worried of her condition and Asuka still confused from a hug. Misato studied their behavior becoming worried from the way they’ve been acting. Shinji went down to the hanger to check on repairs for Rei’s Unit 00 and also his own. As he waited along the elevated stairs not talking to anyone but watching the stairs as they moved him down to the ground floor. He walked a little further until her reached the hanger area. He looked up at his Unit 01 and smiled, tapping on the foot of the machine noticing it had been fixed well. As he walked on the other side he noticed Ms. Ibuki finishing the rest, but her certain position was making his eyes bulged out of his head. She turned around and got up from finishing the shock placements she had just installed. “Shinji are you blushing?” she asked him as he rubbed his head embarrassed at being caught blushing in front of her.

“No it was just that it’s very hot in here and my face lifts up to the temperature.” He lied quick, but Ms. Ibuki was still suspicious from his constant rubbing of his head. “Wow shock placements.” He replied changing the subject, he walked over to them and touched them. “Yup, these shock placements are going to be able to balance the sudden landing you’ll have if you fall to you feet at a certain speed.” She replied with her hands on her hip. “You know your equipment Shinji, just like Commander Ikari in a certain way.” Shinji touched his new machine, sliding his hand down the slick details. “No. Am nothing like him.” He replied, making Ms. Ibuki sigh in thinking that the two are indeed alike in the way they think. Asuka peeked around the corner to see Shinji and Ms. Ibuki talking but as the moment came, the alarm sounded, telling them it was time for battle to fight another Angel. “Maybe another time.” Asuka thought as she turned around to get to the locker room to change into her uniform.

Phase Three: Overflowing Feelings continued

Asuka and Shinji quickly changed and quickly entered their synchs to prepare for battle with the Angels. “Try not to get in my way Shinji!” Asuka replied through the intercom. Shinji sighed. “Alright Asuka I’ll cover you with the attack.” Asuka smirked and pulled her Unit 02’s switchblade, they both took off across the country side, as one of the Angels arose from the ground grabbed Unit 01 by the leg sending Shinji inside Unit 01 slamming into the ground. “AHHH!!” he yelled crashing head first only seeing dirt on his monitor. Asuka went to help Shinji but was stopped by an airborne Angel; before she could reach him the Angel dive bombed right on Asuka’s back, dragging her Unit 02 across the ground like a tire swing being dragged by a car. “Let go!” she yelled swinging her knife aimlessly.

“What are you two doing down there!” Misato yelled on her intercom to the two Evangelions. Shinji got up from the ground but was slammed back down but not by an Angel but by Asuka’s Unit 02, the second Angel had dragged her right into Shinji. “This is great Shinji! This Angel is treating us like a circus act! Stop being so stupid and try to keep up with me.” Asuka yelled shaking her head and waving her hands frantically in the air, as if she was going to pull out of her hair. “I have an idea but you’ll have to follow me this time.” Shinji replied. Asuka stopped yanking at her hair and looked at her monitor. “Nin! You’re going to-“she was cut off by. “Asuka, we’re team mates, we have to trust each other, trust me this time!” he yelled. Unit 02 got off of Unit 01 and Asuka gave him a thumb up. “Don’t be idiotic this is the last time am trusting you, so impress me.” She replied. Shinji smiled. “Am planning on it, alright now follow my lead.” Asuka nodded. Shinji’s Unit 01 ran across the ground again watching out for the second Angel in the sky. As he ran the Angel underground grabbed his leg again. “Now!” he yelled to Asuka, Asuka charged over and stabbed the Angel’s arm with the switchblade holding it in place. With that the Angel screeched out in pain, alarming the second Angel. As part of the plan the second Angel dove from the sky attempting to save its’ fallen comrade. As it tried to get to it’s pray Asuka, since Asuka was not armed, with her blade.

Phase Three: Overflowing Feelings continued

When the angel got close enough to attack Asuka, Shinji jumped in front of her giving the Angel a kick to the stomach sending it crashing into some buildings dragging across the land at the same time, when it stopped a building it hit its head on crashed right on his head. But to be sure Shinji charged again and plunged his blade into the Angel’s head. It squealed and died, its tongue collapsing from its mouth and lying on the ground as a blue liquid poured from its skull. Shinji signaled a thumps up. Asuka smiled but forgot all about the Angel still struggling to get free, she quickly grabbed her switchblade as it started to collapse back into the ground she stabbed the ground catching its skull. She pulled up her blade with the Angel attached and smiled.

“See Shinji what would you do without me.” She boasted, holding up the Angel as it was a prize that she had caught off of a lake. “Yeah...” Shinji murmured. “What was that!” she yelled, Shinji rolled his eyes and sighed. “Nothing Asuka.” He smiled. “Good job you two and minimum damage.” Ms. Ibuki clapped, since now she didn’t have repairs to do. Misato pulled up her chair and collapsed in it, sighing heavily. “Hmm...” she murmured, while biting her index nail. “What’s the matter Misato?” Ritsuko asked, watching her behavior. “Nothing, just that Asuka is beginning to trust others now.” She smiled. “Alright Unit 01 Shinji and Unit 02 Asuka come back for minor repairs and rest for tomorrow.” Misato yelled into the intercom to them. Asuka and Shinji saluted in agreement, and walked back to the Nerve headquarters’ elevator/launch pad again to have their Evangelions repaired and have some rest after today’s battle. Shinji and Asuka got out of their Units and walked down the stairs leading to the bottom floor where the whole headquarters was revealed but it was old to them both.

As they walked the halls Asuka still had that hug on her mind. While Shinji wondered about Rei and nothing else, “Well good job Asuka I guess we can work together pretty well.” Shinji smiled. Asuka panicked from his question since she was thinking of the hug and she caught the word ‘together’. “Nin! No not together what do you mean together! Yuck Shinji!” she yelled making a disgusted face, Shinji shrugged and laughed. “No. I mean we work well as a team.” He laughed. Asuka relaxed and bounced back. “Oh, I knew that you idiot you just think the naughtiest things.” She replied. She walked into her room and closed and the door, Shinji walked a little more until her reached his room. Since he had just a battle today he didn’t feel like waiting for Misato to drive him to his apartment. Asuka lied on down on her bad and looked up at the ceiling. “Why did you hug me Shinji, why did I not resist.” She thought. Shinji was in his room also staring at the ceiling. “Rei, please wake up.” He thought sadly. He clicked off his light. “I’ll have to see you tomorrow.” He whispered before going to sleep. Asuka in her room clicked off her light. “We will talk tomorrow.” She whispered to herself she then went to sleep.


Hahaha... Do you all see my plan yes it is very dramatic, stick around for my next update!!

Phase Four: Unit 03

The day started with training. Asuka was present while Shinji was no where to be found. “It’s not like I care where he is.” Asuka replied as she started to drift into another one of her daydreams. Shinji sat in a chair in the dark infirmary looking over Rei for the third day. He hasn’t left her side since this morning. Misato checked on him three times today, watching if he needed anything and if there was any break through in Rei’s coma. “Come on Rei, I know your stronger then this.” He whispered as he tapped on the glass in angry. He hated feeling helpless, and it made him remember how he used to be, how he used to refuse anything to do with the Evangelions and his father, Gendo Ikari, or to him someone below him in authority, he would be Commander Ikari. Shinji noticed he was late for training, again and rushed but once he hit the hallway he began to walk, hearing another lecture from Asuka would have to wait for now.

“Is it ready, the new Evangelion from Russia? Along with the new pilot?” Commander Ikari spoke; Ms. Ibuki nodded “Yes, but the pilot is not here yet, also the new pilots Evangelion is not ready for a battle yet, it has still been set on a water handling placement in the design, it would not be set well to the ground where the pressure is so less then underwater. We have to add shock placements, and remove the Evangelion’s wings.” She informed him. “No. I don’t think we need to get rid of the wings, so keep them.” He replied before turning off and leaving her to her work. Shinji peeked around the corner again and noticed Commander Ikari had left. He walked up to Ms. Ibuki, deciding to get some answers for a new pilot. “Is Rei going to be replaced?” he thought to himself. “Oh Shinji, hello what brings you down here?” Ms. Ibuki asked. Shinji snapped out of it and looked at the new Evangelion. “Why do we need a new Evangelion, if we have a new Evangelion we must have a pilot along with it.” Said Shinji as he got a better look at it, the colors were mostly black and silver, along with that it looked almost similar to all the other Evangelions in the hanger on the bottom floor. “Yes, we will be receiving a new pilot, but we won’t be replacing Rei. Commander Ikari feels that if we have four Evangelions, we will be able to handle more Angels in the upcoming battles.” Ms. Ibuki smiled noticing Shinji’s smile as he was probably relaxed to hear that Rei wasn’t going to be replaced.

Phase Four: Unit 03 Continued.

“So what’s the pilot’s name?” Shinji asked. Ms. Ibuki began to work on the things Commander Ikari asked her to do. “You’ll have to find out when she gets here!” she yelled as she walked over to some workers to give them instructions. “So we have another female pilot. This is just what we need.” Shinji moaned. He looked at his watch and panicked as he ran to the training room. He slid down the hallways, and ran around the corner. Not paying attention, he ran into someone scattering a mountain of papers around the hall. “Am sorry I was in a hurry and didn’t see you.” He replied his usual clumsy self. The person he ran into was a girl about his age, wearing thin glasses and had cropped hair, wearing a normal uniform most of the woman workers wear. She grabbed her glasses from the floor and put them in her front pocket as she stumbled to gather her papers. “No its okay.” She replied her eyes on the floor. Shinji picked up one of her papers and looked at it, “These are blueprints for that new Evangelion, and it looks like some for the Unit 01, 00, and 02.” She snatched the blueprints.

“Yes, they are, I designed them myself. I thought Commander Ikari might want to read into them.” She replied protectively, squeezing the blueprints in her hands. “Oh am sorry, well so fair they look good.” Shinji smiled. She looked up at him from the floor. “Really you don’t think the pulse suspension is too much, or the fact that the wings are made polar?” she asked catching her tongue before carrying on. “Oh am sorry. I sometimes carry on like that, am such a nerd sometimes.” She laughed. Shinji rubbed his head. “I don’t think that its something you like right? So why not talk to people like you know what your talking about.” He replied. She began to think before nodding, “Your right thanks. No one has ever thought that about me, they say I talk too much sometimes.” She replied scratching her head and still laughing. “She’s really pretty when she laughs.” He thought to himself. Asuka walked down the halls to get Shinji she heard laughing at the end of the hall. As she continued to walk, she spotted Shinji and some girl with him. She ran back in the hall and peeked around the corner. “Shinji and another girl.” She thought. “Why am I watching and why do I care?” she asked herself. Shinji and the girl laughed again and Asuka continued to watch.

Phase Four: Unit 03 Continued.

Until the girl gathered the last paper and waved to Shinji a goodbye and Shinji continued his walk down the hall, Asuka snapped out of it and acted as if she was just walking down the hall, “Shinji!” she yelled with a hand on her hip. “Your late for training again, is not going to stand for your absence.” She scolded him. She grabbed his ear and dragged him down the hall to the training room. “Ow come on Asuka let go.” He groaned as she tugged harder on his ear. “We’re late so no; this is so you don’t run off.” Asuka replied as they walked down some stairs they soon reached the training room. Misato sat on a desk and waved when they entered the room. Shinji bowed, “Sorry Miss Katsuragi for being late.” Misato tapped on his back for him to get up. “Okay just don’t let it happen again.” Misato smiled. She passed them a print for a new formation. “Also just to inform everyone to you two, we will have a new pilot, along with a Russian Evangelion pilot, with the new Unit 03.” Misato explained.

“Was that the new pilot?” Shinji thought. Asuka just dazed off thinking about the hug and then off to a battle she daydreamed she won. “Since Rei is not able to do her job right now. After Rei gets better, we will still have a forth pilot.” Misato finished. Asuka looked at the new formation. “Unit 03, is on here, the pilot will be with us on the first battle?” she asked Misato. Misato crossed her legs and re-looked at the formation plan, “Seems like Unit 03 will be in the first battle with us.” At that moment of giving instructions, the same girl Asuka and Shinji saw earlier came strolling into the training room. “This is our new pilot now.” Said Misato as she watched her walk in, she walked in slowly and stood in front of Shinji and Asuka.

“My name is Minari Skullkevelgne. I am the new Unit 03 pilot along with designer of new weapons, for Units 00, 01 and 02.” She spoke quietly. “Welcome Minari.” Shinji waved. “Am Shinji Ikari.” Minari blinked noticing his last name, “Ikari, Commander Ikari’s son?” she asked. “Yeah.” He answered a bit upset. Asuka stood up to grab the spotlight. “My name, Asuka Langley Soryu, German.” She replied looking Minari up and down. Minari looked at her and turned away. “German huh.” She thought. From that moment on Asuka and Minari were going to give it their best in battle, while in the presence of each other. German and Russian, pushing the heritages limit to see who really the best is.
