A clear warnng, most of the contents throughout this fan fic are non-anime, they are affiliated with only the Harry Potter series. Sorry to disapoint those looking for an Inuyasha fan fic, but this is strickly Harry Potter stuff here, well Severus Snape more to fact. But that doesn't mea this isn't a god read, I'm going to be sending it to J.K. Rolwing herself and see if she will compile a book of fan fictionals for her dear readers. This I admitt is my best 'novel' so do enjoy.
Another word of warning though, most content in this fan fic is for those of a mature reading level, there are hard words to read/understand, there is mature content such as naughty/foul language, naughty interactions, and sexual content and activity.
Do read on, I hope you enjoy this acclaimed fan fictional and please feel free to tell me if it sucks or if it rules, I will only try to improve it to make those enjoy it all the more. Oh and this is a slow beginning, the second chapter has abit of a thrill in it.

Chapter One:
Red EyesIn the light of day that poured in through the window of the bedroom of Severus Snape, Professor Snape, Potions Master, arose form his bed with a yawn and a mourning expression upon his face. Today was September 13th, the day he would have to return to that wretched school Hogwarts. After just revisiting a nightmare he had about his earlier life as a child at that very same school, he turned away from his bed and stretched his legs out. How Snape hated his job, teaching snot nosed little dunderheads about brewing fame and glory into a bottle, he especially hated them when they neglected his teaching and added the wrong ingredient or when they misread the appropriate amount of formula to add. But he would only be truly offended if they were in the house of Gryffindor.
Snape yawned once more, and stood out of bed and turned his attention to the cupboards in his kitchen that he could see just out of his bedroom door. It was funny however, he distinctly remembered shutting his bedroom door before retiring to his bed. It was a habit of his since his childhood. He moved around the front of the oak door and examined it, traces of powder lay still on is wooden paneled floor. He kneeled down and examined the odd sustenance, he had not recognized this type of powder, nothing magical about it. Might it have been from an old fashioned Muggle camera? But then who would be taking pictures of him while in his sleep? In any case, someone had been watching him sleep. Perhaps a student from Hogwarts was playing a meager joke on their ‘favorite’ teacher.
Whatever the problem was, Snape was sure that the spell and hexes that surrounded his house would protect him from intruders such as burglars, rapists, serial killers, etc. If they had gotten in, they were either a witch or wizard. Because if a Muggle had gotten in (which was very unlikely) they would be caught in a trap, such as having jelly legs, a freezing hex, an uncontrollable sneezing hex, and then of course Snape’s favorite, non-harmful hex: the Levicorpus Spell, which brought anyone, no mater what the weight, from their place and rose them in the air and strung them form their heels upside down.
Snape made his way out of his room, toward the kitchen and placed his hand upon the black obsidian table and rubbed his eyes with his available hand. He looked around the kitchen, nothing was to different from there, he had hexes placed on the windows so no one got in through here. Since he was standing in the kitchen, Snape thought he might as well get something to waken him up. He moved to the cupboards, on lazy days, he didn’t brew up anything he made by himself, but he felt so tired this morning, he decided to make coffee in the almost old fashioned way. He pulled his wand from his inner pockets and flicked it around the kitchen, the coffee beans from the cupboards flew out in a sack, along with the sink turning on, with scolding water pouring out. Snape flicked his wand once more and a coffee pot appeared beneath it with a pop. Snape decided to leave the rest of the coffee making to be done by his magic skills and walked out of the kitchen into the hallway that had two doors in between them, and then the hallway leading straight into the living room. Snape didn’t bother with checking the bathroom, if he did, he would just have to go anyway.
Moving his way past the door, he could see the hallway closet door was opened ajar. Could the intruder still be hiding? What an idiot. Snape couldn’t help but think to himself. His wand still firmly in his hand, he held it with the tip pointed to the ground like a hidden weapon. He grasped the doorknob firmly with his free hand and threw open the door. Within a shriek and a hiss sounded as a cat leaped between Snape’s legs and ran for the living room. As if he hadn’t seen the cat, Snape stared in the closet. He sighed and moved around poking his wand within to tap anything that might be invisible to the naked eye. Nothing was there though, just some old coats and robes on hangers that swayed together with each probe of his wand.
Giving in, Snape turned his attention to the cat that shrieked off into his living room. The cat sat perched upon the top of Snape’s couch looking at him with red cat slit eyes. For a moment Snape thought the cat might have been a stray, but then almost right afterward it could it have been a witch or wizard in disguise. Snape tightened his grip on his wand and stared back at the cat. It wasn’t someone he knew. Minerva McGonagall, one of the professors at Hogwarts, had gray fur and yellow eyes. This cat however had silver fur and red eyes. Snape wasn’t familiar with cats or any animals of the sort, but he was sure cats could never have red eyes… unless they were a person.
“Who are you?” Snape sneered. A thought had struck him hard in the head, only one man Snape knew who had silver hair and red eyes. The Dark Lord.
The cat jumped down from the couch and moved around to face Snape. Snape kneeled down to the cat and looked at it more closely. It dawned on him this was a female cat. No amount of magic could change anything like that. Snape curled his lip and stared at the cat, it was staring back just as cold as his. The cat twitched her ears and sat on her bottom wagging her tail, then she purred softly as she licked her lips.
“I hate cats.” Snape sneered.
As if the cat understood him, that cat rose her shoulders high and widened her eyes as if appalled by the comment. The cat hissed and trotted away towards the front door and sat there like she was waiting for something. She wanted out, Snape would gladly oblige. Snape opened the door and with a turn of the cat’s heel it leapt it’s way from his home out into the Muggle street, hopping across the street, across the sidewalk and over the bushes and finally gone from his sight.
Snape shut the door and returned to the coffee boiling in his kitchen in the pot. He hated Monday mornings. As he got to the kitchen the coffee was perfectly made, the buzzer had just sounded as Snape turned the corner. He moved around to the coffee pot and tapped the buzzer ‘off’ button with his middle finger and turned to the table. He swayed his wand and the coffee pot poured a quarter of it’s contents into a mug and levitated it’s way to the table.
An owl flew through the window as Snape sat down. Attached in the owl’s mouth was a copy of the Daily Prophet. Snape withdrew a Knut from his pocket and slid it on the table. The owl dropped the daily prophet on the table, scrunched for the Knut and dropped the bronze coin into the pouch tied around it’s tiny body and then flew through the same open window.

Chapter Two:
DEATH EATERS!!
The Prophet had nothing to report that was really considered news. In the Quidditch sections, the finals were going to be held, it was France VS. Germany. Snape didn’t care for either country’s. In the obituary’s there were no names that Snape recognized, the weather was declaring early snow this season however.
“Maybe someone’ll die from the bitter cold…” Snape thought bitterly to himself.
Flipping to the back of the newspaper, Snape caught a name he recognized in Auror’s Catch of The Week. An article meant especially for Auror’s who often caught Death Eaters. The name was Angelus Ravenclaw-Riddle. A known relative to the Dark Lord, Voldemort.
Angelus Ravenclaw-Riddle’s family went something like this:
(Bold = Deceased, Italic = Living, Bold/Italic = Unknown)
Angelus’s parents were a Muggle and a Squib. Her grandfather was the younger brother of Tom Riddle (Senior). The younger brother, Angelo Derrick Riddle, left the family ages ago in despite of the ignorance his family lived. The older brother, Tom, was an ignorant prat that treated every signal person he met with disrespect. After Angelo left the family, the family he once knew erased his name from the family as if he never existed. When Angelo moved on, he met with a woman named Reyna Ravenclaw (who was half Vella). Soon afterwards they were married and bore three children: Erick Julian Ravenclaw-Riddle (Male, eldest child), Ares Kathryn Ravenclaw-Riddle (Female, middle child), and Shauna Angelus Ravenclaw-Riddle (Female youngest child). The children each grew up to live successful lives (although each were Squibs). Erick and Ares both died recently of a combined of heart cancer and stomach cancer, a disease that was found often in the Riddle line. Fortunately, Shauna, the youngest Ravenclaw-Riddle, came out with a clean slate. She bore two children with a Muggle man: Augustus Eugene Lupin (distant cousin of Remus Lupin, Muggle side of family), the children were: Angelus Shauna Lupin (Female, oldest child), and Kathryn Ares Lupin (Female, youngest child). The father later abandoned his wife and children after finding out he married a Squib and had witches for children. Therefore instead of keeping the name Angelus Shauna Lupin, Angelus took on the old families name of Ravenclaw and Riddle along with her younger sister Kathryn changing them to Angelus Shauna Ravenclaw-Riddle, and Kathryn Ares Ravenclaw-Riddle.
In the article, Angelus stood in a photo next to a man with pale skin, a bony figure, and a deep glare in his eyes. The man was bound in ropes and struggling to get free. Angelus stood beside him smiling lightly. She appeared to have been disguised as a Death Eater, bearing a white mask in her right hand showing the camera. In the panel next to the moving photo it said:
“On this joyous day, our own beloved Angelus Ravenclaw-Riddle has captured yet another group of Death Eater‘s, this time risking her own life by entering the Dark Lord’s territory at a Death Eater group gathering! Angelus recalls seeing people she recognized as a child among the Death Eaters. ‘It just breaks my heart seeing that all of my old friends are joining forces with Voldemort.’ Angelus has managed to take down over ten Death Eaters at the gathering. Each Death Eater has been interrogated and each have plead guilty for serving under the Dark Lord. They currently reside in Azkaban where they shall remain.
All the while that our beloved Angelus isn’t going after Death Eaters, she’s taking care of her younger sister Kathryn who will be starting her first year at Hogwarts this year! Not to mention Angelus and Kathryn have both donated a grand total of a Thousand Galleons to the Ministry of Magic and St. Mungo’s Hospital!
Unfortunately for all of us, Angelus has been thinking of going into retirement. Being at the age of twenty eight, she thinks it’s time to settle down, get married, and have children. This bachelorette is tough, quick with words, and one of the most talented witches of the wizarding world!”
“Oh please.” Snape turned the page back over to the obituary’s.
~ + ~~~~~~ + ~
“As you can see Angelus, things are just the same as they were when you went here! It’s just such a delight that you’ve returned!” a man with a long silver beard said in a delighted voice walking with a woman beside him, showing her about the castle known as Hogwarts.
“It’s good to know that your still headmaster Albus.” Angelus answered.
“Of course my dear! I’ll never leave these grounds! At least until my expiration date is due.” Dumbledore chuckled.
The woman walked beside Dumbledore with a smile, clearly enjoying her visit with the headmaster and walking around the school. Angelus had long light brown hair that reached her bottom, with two strands covering her ears and leading down to her thighs. She stared out at the world with bright green eyes and a white smile.
“So, is this happy return to Hogwarts not only to watch over your sister but to also attend school as well?” Dumbledore asked.
“Yes. I quit after my sixth year as you know to look for Voldemort. As you can see I was pretty successful but I could never catch him, only his followers. But I feel as if he knows still more than I do, so I wish to return to the school and study a bit more of what I missed out on. And not to mention I can assist Kathryn with her studies and homework.”
“An admirable thing to do Angelus. And what house do you think Kathryn will attend?”
“I would guess Gryffindor. She is quite the brave one, then again she’s smart… Ravenclaw, and she’s very talented… Hufflepuff, but then she might end up in Slytherin. Got the blood in her you know. I hope for Ravenclaw however.”
“Why not your own house Angelus?”
“Slytherin is alright, but I believe that man, Severus Snape started teaching here and he became Head of House in place of Horace Slughorn. I liked Snape, but there was something about him…”
“You knew of his Dark Mark didn’t you Angelus?”
“……. Yes I did. That was why I didn’t trust him. Even if you said that he was on our side now. No offense headmaster.”
“I trust Severus with all my heart, I’m sure in time you’ll get used to him as well.”
“Oh and off topic headmaster, who will be the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher this year?”
“You’ve met her, the Auror known as Amanda Grayson.”
“I know her. She and I are what you can call rivals. She’s always trying to pull off some stunt to get noticed and I end up having to retrieve her from the Dark Lord’s grasp.”
“Come now Angelus, if my memory serves me right you only saved her a set amount of times.”
“Try eight. First three times from Death Eaters, then the last five were from Voldemort.”
“Ha-ha. Angelus you prove to be the most successful student I have ever had come into this school. And speaking of that, I’d like to ask a favor of you.”
“What is that headmaster?”
“You know well about the Order, in fact of course you do, little Kathryn, your 2nd cousin Remus Lupin, and most of your old chums are members of it. I was wondering, instead of retiring from Auror duty, keep going for it and also join the Order.”
“Join the Order? I couldn’t possibly. Voldemort has constant watch of me and if I were to give away the location of the headquarters then I’d be putting everyone at risk. I couldn’t do that. It’s bad enough that Kathryn is apart of it, not that there’s anything wrong with the Order, but if it wasn’t for Kathryn’s Animagus form she’d never be able to get there alive.”
“But that is why you must join Angelus, to protect those who cannot afford to be protected by the Ministry. And besides you are an Animagus as well.”
“Yes but Kathryn can turn into a bat, what can I do? I take on the form of a cat.”
“I don’t see the problem Angelus.”
“But that is the problem, when I turn into the cat I can’t keep up my Metamorphagus stage. I change back to my original eye and hair color.”
“Ah I see what you mean now Angelus, a cat with silver fur and red eyes. That would stick out among the other cats. As for little Kathryn, when she changes; her hair color stays red and the eyes are so small you can’t see the difference in each eyes, that one is blue and the other is brown.”
“Yes, and by the way, who is exactly in the Order? Just out of curiosity.”
“Oh Kathryn, Remus, James Potter was until his un-timely death along with his wife Lily, Sirius Black has been excluded after Julia Grayson caught him at a Death Eater gathering, myself, Molly and Arthur Weasly and their eldest son Bill has recently joined, Severus-”
“Snape?” Angelus interrupted.
“Oh yes Severus is apart of the Order.”
“A Death Eater headmaster?”
“A man who made a mistake and realized it and fixed it. He is not a Death Eater anymore Angelus.”
“Excuse me headmaster, but can we be so sure about that? The man is clearly evil in every aspect about him. He’s got to be working for Voldemort.”
“I trust Severus, and that’s what I’m staying with Angelus. Now if you would only trust him, then maybe he’d be more polite. And who knows, maybe he’ll be delighted to see one of his old friends?”
“Yippee.”
~ + ~~~~~~ + ~
Snape stood in front of his mirror tightening his neck collar of his shirt, fixing his attire, not bothering with his hair, just flattening it down on his head with his hands. He grabbed a set of books from the table beside him and carried them under his arm and out of the door. He hated taking the long way to Hogwarts.
Of course it didn’t seem to make much sense the way he was going to Hogwarts, but he had to at least cross paths with Angelus at platform nine and three quarters. He wasn’t to excited at meeting with her, but she was supposed to be an Auror and Snape could only smile at the thought of gloating in front of Angelus, telling her she’d know nothing if it wasn’t for him.
With a small wave of his wand, Snape disappeared with a pop an appeared at the Muggle train station. Walking past the Muggle’s while they passed him odd stares and snickers, Snape walked towards the wall, with the sign ‘Platform 9’ written above it. He kept moving, without passing anyone any looks, and then passed through the wall without anyone noticing.
Passing through the platform onto nine and three quarters, Snape swept pass running children that brushed against him without a care chasing after each other playing tag or some other ridiculous game. Snape took a moment to check his surroundings. Angelus wasn’t to hard to find in a crowd, it’s hard to miss someone whose hair is over 4 feet long, ironically Angelus only stood at 5”4, leaving her hair to stop just in the middle of the calves of her legs.
And sure enough standing beside a little red haired girl with a set of odd colored eyes holding her hand, was Angelus. She was standing with her sister Kathryn checking her wristwatch and taping her foot.
Snape was anxious to see her again but he didn’t want her or in fact anyone to know about it. He wasn’t going to make himself look like a fool by talking to her in public. Besides he only wanted to gloat. Snape watched the train pull in as it made the sounds of any normal train would, with the engine sighing as it came to a halt. Almost the second it did, children ran aboard carrying bags, suitcase, cages, all that what not that’s needed for the school year.
In the crowd running into the train, Snape could see Angelus walking in holding Kathryn’s hand as she was carrying an owl cage with a red and brown colored owl within. Snape followed almost immediately after her. The pushing children and screaming of their little mouths reminded Snape of his childhood when he went to school.
Angelus was only a few children ahead of him, she was visible only because of the children that stopped to let her through. However once she passed, the children acted like she was never there and they continued to cause havoc. Kathryn pulled on Angelus’s sleeve and pointed to a compartment. Angelus smiled and let go of her hand. Kathryn opened the door and ran within, but Angelus stayed outside, she continued to walk down to the last compartment before the Prefect’s compartment and entered it, throwing her belongings within. Before she shut the door, Angelus opened something within the compartment and took it out. As she shut the door, she was placing a white rat upon her shoulder.
“A rat Angelus?” Snape said, loud enough to draw Angelus’s attention towards him.
“Professor Snape?” she asked, looking at Snape like she was questionable about his appearance.
“My, my, returning to Hogwarts? What seems to be the problem Angelus; losing the information with all that Auror duty shrinking your intellect?”
“Well, Professor, you’d get pretty tired after chasing Death Eaters about all night and day wouldn’t you? Oh no I forgot, your not on our side so you don’t know what it feels like.”
“Like anyone else would tell you Angelus I no longer serve under the Dark Lord-”
“Whatever, if you excuse me I have to talk with my sister. First year you know.” Angelus gave Snape a reproachful smile and moved around him towards one of the earliest compartments.
“I do so hope that Kathryn will be in Slytherin, if so, I’ll be sure to make it that she doesn’t end up like her sister; boyfriend less, unmarried, aging faster than she should, and let’s not forget being a bit-”
“Good day Professor Snape.” Angelus retorted and gave him a unpleasant hand gesture as she entered the compartment that contained her sister.
Snape smiled and turned back to Angelus’s compartment. Looking through the window, Snape saw the large rat cage perched upon suitcases and duffle bags of clothes and books. Seeing as everywhere else was full, and because he wanted to, Snape opened the compartment door and steeped in. Moving around the luggage and junk he sat in the open seat and crossed his legs and opened a book from his pocket entitled: “The Howling Whispers of Murder, Book IV”
Snape opened the book to page one-hundred-and-twenty-eight, removing his book mark that flashed in green and silver lighting: “Slytherin House Cup” in Old English Text. Placing the book mark calmly in his pocket he watched as a shadow move by the door and stop in front of it. Angelus stood outside looking in, seeing Snape in her compartment, she pulled the door open with such force it smacked hard against the wall, causing passerby’s to turn heads and look.
“What are you doing in here?” she asked in a high girlish tone that was most unlike her voice.
“All other compartments are full, and I don’t feel like chatting with the engineer of the train.” Snape said not removing his gaze from the texts of his book. He closed the book slightly leaving his thumb in between the pages and looked up at Angelus. “It looks like we’re stuck here.” Snape grimaced, even at his own words Snape hated to think of sharing something considering a resting spot with Angelus. Sure she was beautiful, gorgeous even, but she had a heart like a stone of ice, to him anyway.
“I’m not sharing a compartment with you. Your out of your bloody mind if you think that’ll happen.”
“Fine, but see if you can find a compartment that will fit all of your luggage, yourself, that disturbing little white rat on your shoulder, and your obnoxious ego on the train that has already left the station.”
And sure enough the train was pulling away from platform nine and three-quarters. Angelus had no choice now but to sit across Snape.
“Your despicable.”
“I like to think of myself as a perceptually honest man.” Snape turned back down to read his book.
And as if nothing had happened, or like they weren’t arguing or hating each other at that moment; Angelus said as normal as any conversation starter would sound: “Do you like that book?”
Snape peered at Angelus from over the book. He glanced back and forth between the texts and her face, she was concentrated on the front cover that was mostly obscured by Snape’s hand.
“Yes,” Snape answered. “I like it so far.”
Angelus smiled, for once she didn’t seem so evil looking. “Do you own the previous three?”
“No.” Snape was surprised he answered her back so quickly.
“I have them, if you would like to borrow them. I even own the fifth too.”
“A fifth Howling Whisper’s book?” Snape asked, he didn’t even know that it was released yet, and this was one of his most favorite books he owned.
“Yes, it’s called ‘The Howling Whisper’s of Suicide: Book V‘. It’s very good. I only got it because of the Ministry, the new Minister, Cornelius Fudge gave it to me as a gift for my birthday.”
“Interesting.” Snape sneered. He was done talking to Angelus, even if she started talking back, he wouldn’t answer or acknowledge her.
“The other three books, ‘The Howling Whisper’s of Life: Book I’, ‘The Howling Whisper’s of Recreation: Book II’, and The Howling Whisper’s of Death: Book III’, were good.” Angelus looked at Snape who was ignoring her. “Number… two was my favorite.” Angelus said more quietly in a rejected tone.
Snape didn’t concern himself with Angelus any more, even if she sounded like she was depressed now, he didn’t care. However, the incentive of her twitching hands, and twiddling of her thumbs started to irritate him. Not to mention the cracking of her knuckles. First she popped all of the joints that were closest to her fingernails, then she moved to the middle of her finger joints, then to the bones that can be seen when she balled her hands into fists, then finally both of her thumbs, twisting them until they popped.
Angelus laid her hands back down in her lap and stared at the cover of Snape’s book. At least she was being quiet now, Snape thought. She laced her fingers and tapped her foot twice and looked out of the window. Startling Snape almost out of his skin, Angelus jumped up and pushed her hands against the window.
“DEATH EATERS!” She yelled.

Well that was a short quick reply... at least I got one.

Chapter Three:
Burnt Hand, Burning Heart
Snape stood the minute he heard ‘death‘, he peered out of the window. Dropping his book onto the floor, he could see a whole group of men and women barred in black cloaks coming at them from brooms and stone winged black lions.
“MOVE!” Angelus demanded as she threw open the compartment window and threw out her hand. “Custacrufix!” she shouted, and at that word, a large green shield surrounded the entire train, barricading all of the passengers inside.
The train came to a complete halt and jerked forward as the bridge ahead of them was knocked out by a Death Eater on a black stone lion. Angelus shoved Snape away from her and went for the door, the little white rat clutching on to her shoulder for dear life.
“DEATH EATERS!” Angelus shouted down the hall, most people were standing in the hallway anyway to see what the sudden stop was for. At Angelus’s words, the people aboard the train screamed and shouted and ran up and down the hallway. Angelus threw up her arm and fired out a blast of silver and green sparks that blasted and made large erupting sounds as they hit the ceiling.
“QUIET!” She shouted. The entire train went silent except for the small whimpering heard in the compartments of the smaller children. “REMAIN CALM. I will handle this, at the assistance of some of the other adults aboard the train. We will get rid of the Death Eaters, and get to Hogwarts as scheduled. All students, under aged witches and wizards will stay in the compartments. Prefects will also stay in their compartments-”
Almost cutting her off, the train rocked to the left lifting up off it’s hinges. In the window everyone could see a vast ocean spread beneath them. The train rocked and churned a bit then leaned back onto the tracks. But still obeying Angelus, everyone aboard remained quiet.
“Prefects will also remain in their compartments, but if anyone tries to be a hero, I will make sure that you will be punished.” Angelus continued as if nothing had happened. “Listen closely now, Professor Snape, Professor Grayson, and I will go outside and deal with the Death Eaters,”
“But there’s at least thirty of them out there! How could only three adults stop all of them?” A Hufflepuff student yelled.
“I’ve stopped over thirty Death Eaters by myself young man, don’t under estimate me.” Angelus said sounding serious and cocky at the same time. “Professor Snape, Professor Grayson; if you would be so kind as to join me now, we need to have a chat with our guests.” Angelus announced.
From one of the earlier compartments a few ahead of Kathryn’s compartment, a tall black woman in red and gold robes came form the compartment with her hair weaved into a beautiful braid stretching down to her lower back. From the back compartment behind Angelus, Snape arose brushing himself off.
“Shall we then?” Angelus asked. “Oh no one more thing. She knocked on a compartment door. A small Gryffindor answered the door and slid it open only a sliver. “Would you be a dear and hold Lu-Lu for me? He hates going outside.” Angelus smiled and handed the girl the white rat. Angelus stood upright and stared at her reinforcements.
“Are you sure the odds aren’t against us?” Amanda whispered as she came over to Angelus and Snape.
“Well there’s about thirty Death Eaters out there, and then we’ve got two Hogwarts teachers (you two), and a Auror (myself), we’ve got this train load of children to protect, and we can’t have any casualties. I’d say on a scale of one to ten, we’re a two. I’d say those are pretty good odds.”
Snape couldn’t help but think after fighting so many Death Eaters, Angelus may have gone insane or at least let the all the fame and glory get to her head and give her false confidence and hope.
“If your that confident about this Angelus, I’ll honestly back you up all the way.” Amanda held her hand out and shook Angelus’s hand.
“Let’s just proceed before they tip the train.” Snape retorted and whipped his robes aside and revealed his wand in his hand. “Shall we?” Snape moved forward ahead of the two women towards the front entrance doors.
Angelus and Amanda followed after him. Snape leaned his back against the wall beside the sliding door. Angelus stood alongside the wall beside him while Amanda moved to the opposite wall. As Snape went to open the door, Angelus grabbed his arm and pulled it upward. Snape was about to protest, but Angelus put her finger to her own lips and gave him a signal to be quiet. She pulled Snape around her, behind her. She opened her free hand up and placed her hand, palm open, against the door’s window that was blocked by a curtain. She remained quiet for a moment, then removed her hand. She balled her hand up and made her hand tremble then reopened her hand. Looking at her hand, Snape realized that it was burnt and most of the skin was starting to peel.
“They’ve jinxed the door.” Angelus whispered with her teeth clenched together.
“How do we get out?” Amanda asked as the train rocked slightly.
“Isn’t there supposed to be a hatch door beneath every train?” Angelus whispered softly as Death Eaters flew past the train windows.
“Will you let go of me?!” Snape whispered angrily.
“Shush!” Angelus turned her head back at Snape so fast that her long hair whipped him in the face.
“I think they keep those things in the front of the train, the back, or in the engineers room.” Amanda answered.
“All right, the three of us will check each part. I’ll get the back, Amanda will get the front, and Severus you’ll check the engineer room.” Angelus said, tying her burnt hand up in her sleeve.
Without a word Amanda moved around the front and examined the floor and immediately started hexing the carpets to jump up from their places and levitate to the ceiling. Angelus let go of Snape’s arm and winced as she patted his arm as she moved towards the back.
“Good hunting Severus! I’m sure even if the Death Eaters saw us they wouldn’t attack their own ally!” Angelus called back.
Getting to the back, Snape watched Angelus press her burnt hand against the floor causing the silver and green light to spread out from her palm and fingertips. The carpet sprung up with life, jumped to the ceiling making way for Angelus’s search of a hatch door.
Snape ignored her insult and walked to the engineers door and opened it. The engineer within was pulling levers and twisting knobs and checking meters. He turned back at Snape and sighed with relief.
“Oh, I thought you might be a Death Eater. How’re things going on back there?”
“Is there a hatch door in this room?” Snape asked.
“Ugh… yes! Yes there is!” The short man moved around Snape, and moved aside a set of stacked boxes that hid a hidden door to the outside on the floor. “There ya go.”
Snape reopened the engineer’s door and stuck his head out and called after Angelus and Amanda. The two women didn’t waste anytime when coming to his call. Amanda flicked her wand and the carpets fell back down out of their usual places. Angelus did the same with her bare and burnt hand only each carpet landed in it’s exact place.
“Good. Good Severus.” Angelus held onto her hand.
Angelus knelt down and lifted the handle on the door with her uninjured hand and pulled the door up. Beneath they could see rail-road ties and metal bars holding them in place, and beneath that… was swirling waters and rocks. Without a word to Snape or Amanda for some sort of plan, Angelus mumbled something to herself that Snape couldn’t hear and Angelus jumped through the hatch. Following after her, Amanda jumped as well. Snape sighed and followed after the two. As Snape made sure to keep his concentration on his feet staying on the boards, Angelus was ahead of them tucking her hair into her shirt. She turned back and saw that not only Snape was struggling with keeping his balance, but Amanda was also trying not to fall.
“Sorry, hold on.” Angelus placed her burnt hand onto the ground again and the train tracks began to glow a bright green. “There you go. Go ahead and walk now.” Angelus smiled and tried not to show the pain she was bearing in her hand.
Angelus continued to kneel and walk at the same time under the train towards the back. Amanda followed close behind her and Snape stayed mostly in back in case of a rear attack. Angelus turned back every few seconds to make sure her comrades were still with her. She continued forward, and just as she hoped, the back ladder reached down to the bottom of the train.
“And Bingo was his name-o.” Angelus smiled. Angelus turned back to Amanda who was close enough to look like she was trying to eavesdrop on a conversation. “Alright, I’m gonna climb the ladder first and when I yell for you, you come up next, but only when I say so.” Angelus looked back for Snape who looked like he was about to kill someone. “Severus, you follow after Amanda after I call for you.”
“And why are you giving the orders?” Snape spat.
“I’m sorry Severus your right, let’s hear your brain numbing, brilliant, college educated plan.”
“ … … … Just do what you have to do.” Snape grumbled.
Angelus twisted the side of her mouth into a cocky smile and poked her head out from underneath the train. She stretched her arm out and grabbed the ladder’s edge. She turned her head around and snapped back quickly under the train as a jet of red light shot at her. Angelus grimaced and rolled out from under the train and from what Snape could tell, she jumped onto the ladder and climbed the rest of her way to the top.
“Out of all the Auror’s in the world… I hate her the most.” Snape mumbled.
“I agree with you.” Amanda nodded her head and gripped her wand. She moved forward and rolled out onto the tracks just the same as Angelus.
“Angelus said to stay put until she called you!” Snape hissed.
“You always listen to that prat?” Amanda pointed her wand at a on coming Death Eater on a stone lion. “Firendo!” She shouted as a fire ball shot out from the tip of her wand and at the Death Eater knocking him from the lion’s saddle.
Amanda put her foot upon the ladder and climbed it as well. Snape sighed and rolled out from under the train as well avoiding three beams of red and green light. Snape waved his wand at the Death Eaters and each time he missed. Snape climbed the ladder the minute he got the chance to as the Death Eaters staggered to remount their brooms from almost being hit.
As Snape got to the top of the ladder, Angelus was shimmering all over her entire body with silver light, looking like a ghost. She turned to Snape and her green eyes shone brightly among all the silver. She smiled and walked to Snape as if nothing were going on.
“Take Amanda back inside,” Angelus said, her voice echoing. She turned back to Amanda’s unconscious body. “I’ve got these guys.” She said and returned to the battle.
Snape walked over to Amanda and examined her, she was luckily unconscious like he thought she was. Taking a quick look around, Snape noticed that Angelus had already wrangled up most of the attacking Death Eaters. Snape grabbed Amanda by her arm and put it around his shoulder and carried her away from the fight. As he turned a Death Eater swooped down on them and shot at the ladder. The ladder shattered into hundreds of tiny metal pieces and fell into the ocean.
“Not getting away now are you?!” The Death Eater chuckled.
Snape curled his lip in anger and swatted his wand and the broom the man was riding turned into a snake. The Death Eater, panicking, fell off the broom/snake immediately.
“They destroyed the ladder!” Snape yelled back at Angelus.
“They destroyed the shield to, but you don’t hear me crying about it.” Angelus shouted back.
Angelus turned her attention to another Death Eater, thrusting her hand out and grabbing the handle of the broom she was riding, she grasped it tightly with her burnt hand and the broom shattered like glass into thousands of wooden pieces. The woman that fell from the broom landed on the train and crawled at Angelus’s legs. Angelus somersaulted backwards, kicking the woman in the jaw away from her.
“You mind helping?” she held onto her hand.
“You want my help?” Snape said sarcastically.
“Fine, I’ll do it alone.” Angelus frowned angrily.
Angelus returned to the fight and shot out more green light at the remaining Death Eaters, which consisted of only two men and one woman.
The woman chuckled and kept avoiding Angelus’s attacks. One of the men even flew past Angelus and flicked her hair up playfully. She whipped back and pressed her burnt hand against his mask and shattered it with her hand and pushed his hood back.
Behind the mask a man smiled and chuckled. He had piercing blue eyes, and black hair. Angelus’s shocked expression made her eyes twitch. The man grabbed her arm and pushed her away. Angelus fell back onto the train, her silver light fading and her bright eyes dimmed. The man pulled his hood back over his face and flew away on his broom. The other two on their brooms flew off as well.
“Get back here Venom!” Angelus yelled out, her voice sounded harsh with utter hatred.
The other male Death Eater turned back and laughed. “Lord Voldemort won’t be pleased with your actions Angelus!”
“I’m gonna get you to Lucius don’t forget it! And Voldemort is dead! The Potter boy killed him, whether you wanna believe it or not!” Angelus smiled in an odd way, she was calm and looking like the way she did earlier on the train with Snape.
“Leave her to be deceived by those of the Ministry, their just as big of fools as her.” the woman flew beside Lucius. “And you’ll never put away my husband Angelus!”
“You of all people Narcissa should know how persistent I am!” Angelus gritted her teeth.
Narcissa threw her hair back and laughed and flew off with her husband Lucius and the mysterious man. Angelus punched the top of the train and sighed with anger and pain. She arose and marched her way towards Snape. She smiled and grabbed his arm.
“Well… that was a work out.” She grimaced as she hurt her hand. She let go of his arm and continued forward and examined the ladder. “I can’t repair the ladder, all the pieces fell in the water. Looks like we’re stuck on the roof of the train until we get to Hogwarts.”
“Can’t we… can’t we apparate inside the train?” Amanda came around, pushing herself off of Snape.
“No, just like Hogwarts, you can’t apparate anywhere within. We’re stuck here.” Angelus smiled and walked towards the front, jumping carts towards the engineer’s cart. She jumped down towards the window and motioned for the engineer to get the train going again.
As if nothing had happened, Angelus yawned and walked back towards Snape and Amanda with a happy solitude face. She examined her hand and cocked her head as she looked back up at Snape.
“You wouldn’t happen to know any remedies that cure burns do you?” she asked.

Well thank you! My sister said the flying lions were stupid. Here's the next update!

Chapter Four:
A Rose With Thorns
Days earlier…
At the Ministry, reports were flying in left and right about Lord Voldemort’s death. It was said that Lord Voldemort broke into the Potter home, whom were marked for death, and killed them with the unforgivable curse. He soon afterwards went after the Potter child, who stopped him and was left alone by a small thunderbolt shaped scar upon his forehead. Everyone was baffled but at the same time praising the boys name and shouting to the heavens in joy.
Among the group celebrating a short woman with red hair stood cradling a baby beside a taller man with balding red hair who was sitting at a desk relaxing in his chair. He had abroad smile spread across his face stretching almost ear to ear. The woman rocked the baby excitedly and smiled just as big and wide as her husband.
“Can you believe it Arthur? And even after little Ronny’s welcome into the world! I’m so happy! Now he doesn’t have to live in fear of You-Know-Who!” the woman said excitedly.
“Now, now Molly we’re still not sure if he’s dead… but we are almost positive he is. Praise that Potter child!” Arthur smiled and rubbed his hands together just as excitedly as his wife.
“If only they’d hurry and tell everyone about Voldemort’s death and that child’s name! He’ll go down in history that boy will!”
Just as Molly leaned down to kiss her husband Arthur, a man in tattered robes with patches ran beside the cubicle Arthur worked in and grasped one of the walls surrounding him gasping for breath. Molly and Arthur went to open their mouths, but the man held up his hand in silence.
“Just need a moments breath Molly.” he breathed heavily.
Molly and Arthur gave the man a moment to catch his breath and speak clearly. The man straightened his stance, released the cubicle wall and clapped his hands together.
“I just overheard the new Minister of Magic talking with Lucius Malfoy. You-Know-Who hasn’t been found, but is still presumed to be dead, but the boy’s name… is Harry Potter.”
Molly and Arthur together dropped their jaws and stared at the man. They both turned to one another shutting their mouths and turned back to the man.
“You mean… James and Lily’s son?” Arthur asked.
“Their Harry Potter?” Molly asked. The man nodded. “I’m so sorry Remus, I had prayed that it may have been another family with the name Potter. But not James, not Lily.”
“It was… unfortunately them.”
A moments silence passed the three, if you didn’t count the murmuring of the baby known as Ron in Molly’s arm, the three each felt uncomfortable at that moment. It would have been just the same if they were different people hearing about the death of friends. It remained quit in Arthur’s cubicle, as Molly wooed Ron back to sleep in her arms, rocking him and lightly tapping his nose as he drifted in and out of sleep.
Almost to break the silence, a woman walked by with long brown hair, bright green eyes, and wearing green and black robes.
“Good news?” she asked.
The three looked at Angelus with a most uncertain look.
“Oh… so you know?” Angelus stretched out her fingers and them balled her hands into fists and dropped them to her sides. “I’m sorry about James Remus.” she touched his shoulder and patted it.
“Yes. James and Lily. And the just had their son, Harry-” Remus spoke so quietly, it sounded just above a whisper.
“Potter.” Angelus cut him off. “If I had known Remus… I could’ve stopped him. I could’ve saved James and Lily.”
“Oh come off it Angelus!” Remus shouted, making people near by turns their heads. Remus looked as if he had a vein popping from his right temple. “I know that you hated James!”
“I didn’t hate him.” Angelus said as calm as ever.
“Of course you did! Whenever he stepped into the room you would leave the second after!”
“Keep your voice down Remus-”
“And whenever it was the holidays you always got us something, but never James, nor Lily! Just because she was married to him!”
“I liked them very much, I just couldn’t-” Angelus tried to speak still in her calm voice.
“And it was all because James was a bit of a git at school! You didn’t even know anyone he picked on!”
“James and I were close, but not like friends.”
“Your even family with him!”
“I liked him, and we were only family by marriage-”
“Don’t stand here and pretend you were friends with James!”
“If anything Remus, we’re family by blood, so you should like me even if I have my dislikes of other people. And another thing Remus, I did in fact like James and Lily. But I was aware they were marked for death! I am an Auror you imbecile, one that daily goes after Voldemort! He has men scouring the cities watching my every move, watching Kathryn even, and she’s only eleven! And what would happen if I staid by James and Lily, huh? Voldemort would have information on them as much as myself! And the Prophecy! The Prophecy Remus! Voldemort would’ve only killed James and Lily sooner!”
“You could’ve told us Angelus!” Remus announced. “You could’ve mentioned to someone in the Order so that we could hide James and Lily sooner!”
“Snape’s in the Order! He’s a Death Eater! I can’t trust him. Once a Death Eater, always a Death Eater!”
“He is no longer in league with the Dark Lord Angelus! We have explained to you countless times! He has changed sides-”
“He’s got you all brainwashed! He was the one who announced to Voldemort about the Prophecy and little Harry. It’s his fault!”
“He said it was an accident! And if Dumbledore believes him then I do.”
“Open your eyes Remus! He’s even got Dumbledore, tied in power to Voldemort, into thinking he’s on our side! Snape is a master in Potions and Leglimancy! He could’ve made Dumbledore think he’s a good guy, and that it was an accident. We know how much Snape hated James!”
“Angelus you don’t understand-”
Interrupting Lupin, Angelus grabbed the back of her neck tightly and squeezed it in pain. She squeezed her eyes shut and bent over, letting her hair fall over her shoulders.
“I’ve-got-to-go.” she said through gritted teeth. She knelt down slightly squeezing tighter in hopes the burning would go away.
Angelus ran the other way, away from her comrades towards a door that was being opened by Lucius Malfoy. She brushed past him, and astoundingly and like as if he knew what was the matter with Angelus, he followed after her.
Angelus pushed past other people in the halls trying to get to a secluded room. As she moved back around some finely dressed witches and wizards, she found a room that was now unoccupied. She pushed the door in and hexed the room, then turned back to the door and hexed it as well.
Angelus fell down to her knees gripping the back of her neck, squeezing and rubbing as if to massage the pain away. She winced as hot tears started to stream down her face, past her cheeks landing on the sleeves of her robes. She clenched her teeth and started grinding them. The pain was only getting worst. Angelus staggered upright, she turned towards the door. Just as she did, Lucius barged through the door into the room. He dropped his cane as Angelus fell onto the floor. She looked tired and her eyes were flashing between red and green, her hair faded to a whitish silver color. Lucius grabbed Angelus up by her arms and leaned her against the wall. All that he could would be to watch her so that she would swallow her tongue. Lucius knew exactly what she was going through, although not having to go through it with himself, Lucius took pity on Angelus. A burden such as hers was something that anyone could pity, something that anyone with natural abilities wouldn’t be able to handle.
“Thank you… for your help… Lucius.” Angelus rested onto his shoulder like a child.
The room was jinxed so that people couldn’t enter, but Lucius got through. It made Angelus happy that Lucius came through however. She had hexed the room for only those who cared about her may enter. This made Angelus feel good about herself, even if the man that wrapped his arms around Angelus; even if he put his head on top of hers; even if he shut his eyes and told her he was happy to help, then start rocking her slowly waiting for the pain to stop; letting Angelus play with his own hair, twirling it in-between her weak fingers; even if… he was married.
Angelus could feel her eyelids getting heavier, she looked back up at Lucius… he was healing her. By making her sleep, Lucius was helping her get better, soon the pain was softening, the burning sensation in her neck was going away, the glow of her eyes returned to green and the lavishing brown hair returned in place of the silver.
Even if Lucius Malfoy was a Death Eater, Angelus could bare to have him at her side. For now… … for later… … … for eternity. Angelus could think of Lucius Malfoy as nothing but a handsome man with a personality that changed often like… like a rose with thorns.

Chapter Five:
It Cost Her, Her Heart
As the rain pulled into the station, Angelus, Amanda, and Snape were sitting on top of the train, of the first cart. As they pulled in, a whole crowd of students and teachers stood outside awaiting the return of the trio. The crowd up roared with cheers and clapping when the train came to a full stop.
Angelus stood upright and walked towards the edge of the train, seeing everyone clap and cheer, wasn’t the exact kind of entrance she had wanted. When she went to take a step down, Amanda Grayson pushed past her and jumped into the crowd. The crowd showed her some attention, but when Angelus jumped down from the train, everyone pushed aside Amanda and went straight for Angelus.
Begging for autographs and trying to shake her hand, pat her back, give her a hug, and all that nonsense that fans like to do, the crowd cheered louder and clapped harder than before. Angelus in the midst of all of this, sighed with disappointment. Angelus politely asked people to move aside as she struggled to get over to the train opening doors. The first person out was little Kathryn, holding onto her luggage, and resting on her shoulder was Lu-Lu, Angelus’s white rat. Looking extremely uncomfortable, Kathryn quickly handed Angelus Lu-Lu.
“Sorry Kathy, I know how you don’t like rats.” Angelus took the rat gently and placed him on her shoulder.
Angelus stopped for a moment, and glanced back. Had she forgotten something? She recounted what she had; Kathryn was with here, they had their luggage, Lu-Lu the rat… Angelus sighed and looked back on top of the train. Snape was still standing on top looking down on Angelus. It dawned on Angelus she was wearing a thin tank top that you could see down on her breasts if you looked from the right angle. Angelus threw her arms over her chest and yelped.
“Pervert!” she squeaked.
Turning heads, people near by turned their heads to Angelus, then to Snape with an outraged stare.
“Don’t flatter yourself, I wasn’t looking at your chest!” Snape shouted back at Angelus.
Angelus rapped her robes around herself and buttoned the top five buttons and looked back at Snape who remained on top of the train.
“Aren’t you coming down?” she asked.
“I’ll wait until the crowd clears.” Snape sneered.
Angelus put her hands on her hips and sighed. She reached into her pocket and threw a book up at Snape. Barely catching it, Snape realized it was his book, ‘The Howling Whisper’s of Murder: Book IV’. She smiled and rubbed the back of her neck and winced slightly.
“It’s yours! I saw you drop it and I grabbed it. I saved it for you.” She kept her hand on the back of her neck, still keeping the small smile. “Is it that you need help getting down which is why your waiting?”
“I don’t need your help!” Snape retorted, tucking his book furiously into his robe pocket.
“Alright, you’ll have to come down sooner or later!” Angelus smiled and waved him on as she avoided the people surrounding her.
She found her way over to a large man with a bushy beard, bushy hair, and small beady black eyes. Snape couldn’t hear from where he was standing, but it seemed Angelus even knew Hagrid. She waved over to Kathryn, who looked uncertain as she was also patted on the back by students for just being related to Angelus. Not wasting time, Kathryn pushed past everyone in her way with her suitcase and got to Angelus. Embracing onto Angelus’s arm like a small three year old, Kathryn looked like she was starting to cry. Angelus patted Kathryn’s head and said something to Hagrid, that Snape still couldn’t hear. Angelus knelt down to Kathryn and gave her a tight hug and said something that Snape could easily guess was: “I love you.” or maybe it was a “Good luck.”
Angelus patted Kathryn’s head once more, and Kathryn released Angelus’s arm and followed Hagrid and a set amount of first years that immediately started to talk to Kathryn.
Angelus waved Kathryn on along with the other children and pet the rat on her shoulder once then picked up her own suitcase and went by herself into the school.
Snape didn’t have to wait long for the crowd to disperse. After Angelus left into the school, the crowd seemed to follow. Although in fact he was having a hard time getting down from the train. He sat on the edge for a moment and stared at the ground, he hesitated and stretched out his foot… then pulled it back.
“Dammit…” Snape muttered.
The train would leave any second now. Snape figured he had to get off some how. He leaned over the train, and thought stupidly to himself: Angelus and Amanda just jumped… why can’t I?
“It’s possibly from fear of heights.” A voice sounded behind Snape.
Snape was so surprised that he fell from the train onto the hard concrete beneath him, his knees breaking his fall.
“AGH!” Snape said above a whisper.
“You alright?” Angelus came down from the train behind Snape.
Snape turned back, and reached at angelus to strangle her. She jumped back and made a rhetorical laugh. Snape hurt his knees and sat on his bottom, loathing Angelus.
“Here.” Angelus walked over, she placed her burnt hand on one of Snape’s knees. The hand began to glow light green and Snape’s left knee no longer throbbed with pain. Angelus looked at Snape and smiled.
“Does the other one hurt too?” she asked.
Snape curled his lip, and turned his head away from Angelus. He wasn’t going to talk to her.
“Ok so it does.” Angelus placed the burnt hand on his right knee. Like before it started to glow a beautiful light green color. And the pain was gone, just as before.
Snape looked back at Angelus and touched both of his knees and sighed angrily. He stood up and brushed himself off, and Angelus stood with him.
“Afraid of heights?” She asked.
“No.” Snape spat.
“Sorry, well how are your knees?”
“Fine.”
“Good.” She looked down and sighed. “You dropped it again.” She knelt down and grabbed Snape’s book. “You’ve got to learn to hold on to your belongings.” she smiled and handed Snape the book.
Snape looked at the book and snatched it from Angelus angrily. Again thrusting the book into his pocket angrily, he stormed away from Angelus.
“What’s the matter Severus?” Angelus asked following after him.
“Stop following me!” Snape shouted.
“But I have to until you give me my order!”
“Order?” Snape stopped in front of the Hogwarts doors. “What order?”
“My book or- oh I forgot, I didn’t ask you on the train did I?” Angelus sighed with annoyance to herself. “I was going to ask you about set of Potions books that I ordered. I had them delivered to Hogwarts, and since you’re the Potions Professor here, I was hoping you had them.”
“Every potions book is delivered to me. What are the books you ordered?” Snape asked in an annoyed tone.
“I ordered, Deluxe Potion Making; By: Carmen Violate, Redefine Potions; By: Benedict Aula; Potions and Cauldrons I & II, By: Hughes Jackal; and Boiling Up Remedies, By: Olivia Trejo.”
“You ordered those?” Snape sneered.
“Why is there a problem?” Angelus asked.
“Yeah. I threw those out by accident.”
Angelus looked like someone slapped her in the face. “You threw out my books?”
“By mistake.” Snape sneered.
However Snape did throw them out on purpose, they were addressed to him, but the moment he saw that they were ordered by an Angelus Shauna Ravenclaw, he threw them into the fire because he knew that meant Angelus would be coming to Hogwarts to make up her seventh year.
“I can’t believe you threw out my books.” Angelus sighed.
“How much did they cost?” Snape asked, not caring much.
“Ugh I’d say, about four Galleons and five Knuts?” Angelus thought about it.
“I’ll give you the five Knuts.” Snape mumbled and walked into the castle. Following Snape, Angelus smiled.
“You don’t have to Severus.” she smiled. “I can pay for it, it was just a pain getting them. Flourish and Blotts Bookstore was packed and I had gotten the last copies of each book because the man behind the counter is a big fan and not to mention I’m going on a date with him the following weekend.”
“Price you pay for being famous.” Snape sneered.
“Yeah. So I’ll see you… sometime later tonight?”
“Excuse me?” Snape asked. He hadn’t any clue what Angelus meant by ‘later tonight’. He then pondered if she was just messing with him.
“At the beginning of term feast?” Angelus gave Snape a funny smile. “Oh!” Angelus clasped her hand over her mouth. “You thought I meant something different! No, no, no! It’s just that I’m sitting at the staff table with you and the other teachers.” Angelus giggled.
Snape dreaded the thought. If anything, he’d be lucky if he could stay in his office all night without a word to anyone. He’d like that better then hearing the idle prit-prat of Angelus talking about Auror duty and Kathryn starting term. Snape wasn’t exactly looking forward to that, the night in his office would be more enjoyable than spending it with Angelus.
“I doubt it.” Snape sneered. Speaking of which, this had perked his curiosity when Angelus was on the train when he clearly saw her walk into the castle. Snape didn’t want to act to interested in it, so he asked just for the sake of asking. “How did you get on the train?”
“Huh?” Angelus asked. She seemed to be day dreaming about something, with her hand perched on the back of her neck.
She had been known to do that often. In the Daily Prophet they had mentioned that she rubbed the back of her neck when she was nervous. She was even doing it in the photo of her and the Death Eater.
“I’m sorry Severus, I wasn’t paying attention… what was the question?”
Snape muffled his mouth to an angry frown and bent his eye brows and sighed with annoyance. “You should learn to pay attention, your back in school and you’ll be needing all the information you can get.” Snape then gave another sigh, one like he was less annoyed but not as angry. “I asked how you got on the train just now.”
Angelus smiled and put her hands on her hips. “Pretty good huh? Everyone thought that was me.” She crossed her arms over her chest. “I used an illusion charm. I’m sure you’ve heard of it Severus.”
Snape raised an eyebrow. He had heard of the charm of course, but he had known no one to actually be able to do it. It was supposed to be something that involved with splitting your personality. Of course he wasn’t to impressed, at least he didn’t act like it.
“I’ve come about it a few times in my readings. Only advanced witches and wizards can use it.” Snape said in a rhetorical tone.
Angelus’s eyes lit up. “Why thank you Severus,” She smiled.
“I guess even plain and ordinary witches such as yourself can pull it off.” Snape retorted then stalked off.
Angelus kept her smile however the insult did in fact hurt her feelings. But she could tell that Snape was putting out. He was just jealous. She grabbed the back of her neck and rubbed it again.
As Snape stormed away from Angelus, he then though to himself: If I asked about how she got on the train, I should’ve also asked how she knew what I was thinking. Or did I perhaps say my thoughts out loud?
Snape hadn’t been one to actually speak his inner thoughts, only if it were really something that interested him or annoyed him. Snape turned his head back to Angelus, she was lingering just about the entrance examining doors, acting like her goofy self and touching the walls as if she was trying to make out the detail of the castle’s structure.
Uncharacteristically, Snape snorted and continued to stalk off away from Angelus. Avoiding confrontation with the other staff, Snape took the short way to his office. If the house elves did their job, Snape’s belongings for the school would already be there. Of course since when did the Hogwarts house elves fail at anything?
Taking a left to his office, standing outside was a few Slytherin second years. Snape had no time for their nonsense. He went to open the door to his office, when he noticed a familiar looking face standing among the second years.
“Ravenclaw?” Snape raised an eyebrow at Kathryn who stood among the other students with a green Slytherin emblem on the left side of her chest. “What are you doing here? You haven’t even been sorted yet. Get back to McGonagall before I give you a detention.”
“No.” Kathryn pouted.
Snape was taken aback by Kathryn’s outburst. No student had ever had the gall to talk back to him.
“Come again?” Snape gritted his teeth.
“I’m here to give you something.” Kathryn said. She spoke so quietly, Snape was baffled he could understand. “She wants you to go out and buy her books for her.” ‘She’ could’ve only meant Angelus, as Snape went to open his mouth to reject, Kathryn stopped him and spoke a little more loudly. “She’s real busy and she doesn’t expect you to pay for them.” Kathryn handed Snape a bag of coins. “There’ s more than enough, and Angelus said that whatever’s left over you could have.”
Snape looked down on Kathryn and twisted his normal scowl into an evil grin. “Did you know that your sister likes to think that she’s-”
“I know how she is.” Kathryn cut Snape off. Snape raised his eyebrow again. “She doesn’t think things all to through, and she expects allot from everyone else. It cost her her heart to find that out. Because of that she decided to become an Auror.” She said quietly. She went to turn to leave but then stopped and looked back at Snape. “I’m going to be in Slytherin just so you know. I look forward to Potions.”
It cost her her heart to find that out…
What could that have meant?
“Angel sends her thanks in advance.” Kathryn said quickly and walked off with the other Slytherins.
It had been a long time since Snape had heard anyone call Angelus ‘Angel’. She had abandoned that nickname ages ago, when she discovered where her bloodlines lay. She said something about it not being right to call her an angel for being the great niece of Lord Voldemort. She must’ve only let people close and dear to her call her Angel anymore.
It cost her… her heart… to find that out…
It made Snape wonder exactly, what exactly, lied behind those eyes of Angelus Ravenclaw-Riddle. Her heart, had she given it in exchange for something… or someone?

Chapter Six:
Something Unforgivable
It had been one night at the school and Snape was already sick of the school and everyone within it’s walls. While at the sorting, Snape watched for Slytherins to spring up, and just as Kathryn had stated, she was sorted into Slytherin.
However before all that, when Snape took his seat at the staff table (the far left on the edge of the table), Angelus had the gall to sit beside him. No doubt she had wanted to know if Kathryn was able to deliver the message. However not once during the sorting or the feast did she bring up the comment. Snape was grateful she didn’t talk much, she acted like she was only trying to eat in peace then take her leave. She talked seldom though; she laughed at a joke, not a hearty laugh but a simple laugh; she asked Snape or Amanda beside her to pass her certain entrees; and she sighed with annoyance and then rubbed the back of her neck often. It wasn’t enough to call talking but it was just annoying having her there.
After the feast, all of the first years were taken to their common rooms. Snape got to the Slytherin common room a little late, because of someone… (indicating Angelus who wouldn’t move out of the way from the hall looking for that stupid rat of hers). As he got to the common room, Angelus staid in back as she had heard the Slytherin speech years ago. Snape stood up front of the little group of first years which there were very few Slytherins this year, and he gave his normal speech: “I am the Potions Master of Hogwarts… Slytherin is the best house… we’re cunning… no funny business… the rivalry between Gryffindor and Slytherin… detentions to those who are trouble makers… Quidditch try outs… in need of a Seeker and a Chaser… if you have no talent don‘t bother with try outs… and no one bother me unless it’s life threatening important.” After the speech, Snape retired to his office where he’d send an owl for Angelus’s books with the money enclosed and then keep the rest for himself.
Snape didn’t know why he’d keep the money Angelus let him have, there was well over the amount the books cost within the bag. Before Angelus said the books cost three Galleons and five Knuts. But within the bag, she had placed fourteen Galleons, twenty seven Sickles, and ten Knuts. Snape although didn’t know why he kept the money, he’d like to know what he’d spend it on. In the back of his mind he heard James Potter shouting “How about some Shampoo for that greasy hair?! HA-HA!!”
Snape laughed at himself. He wouldn’t have to hear that prat’s voice for a very long time. James Potter… was dead… and Snape was loving it. As a child he wished for this moment, he only regretted it didn’t happen sooner and that it wasn‘t him who took James out. Snape was enjoying this moment, he hadn’t exactly taken the full effect of hearing of James’s murder until now. He did however feel for their son, Harry, who had just recently been born.
And no matter how much Angelus pranced about it, no matter who said it or looked at him thinking it, none of it mattered to Snape anymore because he knew since the Dark Lord was finished, he’d have no problem in admitting he was an ex Death Eater. But that was if Voldemort was dead, there were no reports that he was ever found dead, but then there were no reports that he was found alive yet either.
In his office, he sat their grinning, something he didn’t usually do. He could think of telling the Gryffindors and McGonagall: “Fifty points from Gryffindor for the death of James Potter, fifty more points for Sirius Black getting sent to Azkaban, another fifty for Peter Pettigrew’s death…” Then Snape had to think of what Remus had done. “… then one hundred points for Lupin being a werewolf and attacking a Slytherin honor student.” Snape chuckled under his own breath. Had he done that he’d been fired. Whatever. He barely liked holding onto his job anyway. He only staid around for the sake of getting the Defense Against The Dark Arts job. Which he was shot down but then offered the Potions gig. If Snape couldn’t teach DADA then he’d try Potions. He was good at it, and everyone knew he was. He figured if he worked good in potions he’d get the DADA position.
Snape then again laughed at himself. He let his thoughts wander again. He never really did this. He felt it must still be the after effect of losing James. Although it wasn’t a complete lost. James to Snape was like an old dog that was sick, and needed to be put down.
“He went the way of Old Yeller.” Snape mumbled.
He then thought to himself why he had used that old movie for the exaggeration of the way James had passed on. It was a forsaken Muggle film. He supposed it was kind of funny seeing as he’d seen Old Yeller a few times not to long ago.
At least now Snape could go to sleep happy. Snape arose from his seat and gathered everything he’d need for his room which only consisted of a few quills, some parchment, a grading book, and The Howling Whispers Book he continuously lost. He shut the door and locked it with an old fashioned heavy key, and then muttered a charm to keep the door from being broken into. He examined the halls that were considered a three way intersection. No one was in the halls except for the luminous eyes of Mrs. Norris, Filch’s cat.
Snape looked towards the wall next to his office. Upon it lay a clock that glowed bright green. Snape estimated that it had to be around eleven o’clock. He was staying up particularly late today. He never even staid up this late to grade papers and potions, nor did he stay up this late for anyone’s detention.
Wasting no time getting to his quarters he took the left hall leading to the stairway where all the staff staid. Climbing the almost never ending spiral staircase, he passed portraits of evil looking witches and wizards who were grinning at Snape and twitching their hands in their laps as they watched him skip steps up the stairway. He wasn’t afraid, god no he wasn’t afraid. He did however find each one of their company… distasteful.
Snape’s room was the fourth door of the right side of the hall. As Snape got to the top of the stairs, he saw there was a newly added door on the left side. The emblem on the door was an angel, a snake, and a dragon. Snape could think that room belonged to Angelus. He continued without pause at Angelus’s door and saw that across from her door was Amanda’s room with a big Gryffindor emblem on her door with a banner of her last name beneath it. Snape’s door however was just plain, nothing about it that interested anyone, although you could tell it was his room. The big black obsidian door that glistened in the moonlight and the rusted hinges gave off the eerie chill to let you know it was the scary Potion Master’s chambers.

Weeks had passed and September was over. The trees shed fully of their leaves, the green grass was covered in pale brown, orange, and red leaves, Halloween decorations were set all through out the school, windows were plastered with pictures of pumpkins, real live pumpkins were growing in Hagrid’s vegetable patch, skeletons were set in the corners of hall ways and classrooms, the ceiling s were jinxed to look like it was raining and thunder storming, and the ghosts were getting into the spirit of Halloween by scaring every student in sight.
Angelus arose from her bed with a very bad bed head. Her hair as long and pretty as it was, was a pain in the butt to brush and wash. Sitting upon her small end table, her rat Lu-Lu stared at her and twitched it’s whiskers. Angelus smiled at the rat and walked into the bathroom of her room and started her bath. She turned the faucet and cold water sprayed from the end of the shower head. Angelus jumped back and quickly switched the faucet from shower to bath. She the turned the temperature adjustment to between hot and warm. She looked around for the plug and knocked over some bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Finding it in the last place she’d ever look (the sink) she pushed it into the drain of the bath tub and the steaming hot water poured into the bath tub. Angelus then returned to the outside of the bathroom and looked at Lu-Lu.
“Want a bath?” she asked as plain as asking someone if they wanted something from the fridge.
As if the rat understood Angelus, it turned it’s head and jumped from the coffee table to Angelus’s bed and slept there.
“Well someone’s acting awfully stuck up today.” Angelus pouted and returned to the bathroom.
Angelus grabbed the faucet handle and turned the faucet off. The water stopped pouring and the water’s steam arose like a boiling pot. She looked into the mirror and decided to brush her hair before getting into the tub. She reached for a brush that she kept on her sink and began brushing her hair. It was tangled, but not as bad as it usually was. It was easy brushing the top of her head but then she had to brush the ends of her hair that reached to her ankles. It was easier for her to brush her hair when Kathryn was with her. Angelus would sit on one side of the bed, while Kathryn brushed out her ends of her hair.
Angelus was beginning to struggle now however. She couldn’t reach her arm around to her legs so instead she muttered a curse word and pulled all of he hair around her shoulder. She grabbed it tightly, and straightened out her hair with fingers. As she slowly moved her grasp from the top of her head to the tips, her hair untangled and straightened out. She then removed her sleeping robes, double backed to see if anyone was looking (why she did that she had no idea), and then jumped into the tub. She leaned back against the cold wall and shivered, she grabbed a large goblet on the side of the tub and filled it with the warmth of the water and poured it onto her back. She sighed with relief and smiled. It was going to be a good day.
Scrubbing her hair clean, Angelus washed her body and shaved her legs, armpits, and a private area since she didn’t like having much hair down there anywhere. She thought it was kind of ironic, her head hair being so long, and then this being shaved. She smiled and giggled. She knew she was weird, she was glad to be weird.
Almost all of her family was weird, Kathryn had those mixed colored eyes, Augustus (her father) had freckles on every inch of his body, Shauna (her mother) had the brightest of green eyes that literally shone in the dark, and Angelus herself had been born a Metamorphagus, she was also born with red eyes and silver hair. When born she hadn’t had a real displeasing appearance due to her eyes and hair. She seemed more like a kind spirit.
Getting out of the tub she noted that clock on her wall was reading six, twenty-five o’clock in the AM. She had about thirty-five minutes left before her first class started. She wondered if Snape had ordered the books yet. She no longer pondered on these notions as her black owl Ezra flew threw the window bearing the large books she had ordered, and a rolled up dark yellow parchment, with a formal looking green ribbon tied around the center. Angelus grabbed the roll of parchment and the set of books and set them aside on her bed. Lu-Lu stared up at Angelus and examined the books Angelus used to nearly crush him. Angelus reached for a robe and pushed her arms through the sleeves and sat on the bed half naked.
She unraveled the parchment and read to herself:
“Dearest Angelus,
We missed you at Narcissa’s Baby Shower. I was hoping that you would at least come to the All Hollow’s Eve party I am throwing on the 31st. Please attend, I am looking forward to seeing you again. Speaking of which, this is just an invite, please do not think my actions of asking you to a party of mine are a sign of affection. They are clearly not. I am married and have a new born son, which of course I hope you will soon like to meet.
Forever In Dept To You,
Lucius Malfoy”
Angelus curled her lip to the left and raised an eyebrow. Was Lucius serious? She liked Lucius, a lot, but she had no intention of taking him away from Narcissa. Angelus was one quarter Vella, an Auror, a devilishly clever woman, but she wasn’t a home wrecker. She grabbed a forest green quill and grabbed some spare parchment and started writing immediately.
“Dear Lucius,
Sorry I missed Cissy’s Baby Shower, duty calls you know. I will not attend your All Hollow’s Eve party. I have other plans and they cannot be changed for a meager party. On the 31st I’m taking Kathryn trick-or-treating with some of her Muggle friends. Anyway, HOW DARE YOU TRY TO SAY THAT ABOUT ME! I AM NOT A HOME WRECKER YOU PRAT! I would never think of having an affair, let alone if you try to have an affair with someone else while your with Cissy, I'll be sure to inform the Ministry of your actions and get your name tarnished throughout the wizarding world as a two timing git!
Sincerely,
Angelus Ravenclaw-Riddle
P.S: I would like to meet little Draco Malfoy, I’m sure he looks just like his father.
P.S.S: And that forever in dept thing Lucius? I told you that you shouldn’t worry about it. I hadn’t even meant to save you that night, so stop acting like I had.
Angelus Ravenclaw-Riddle”
As Angelus wrote her last name on the parchment, Ezra swooped over flapping her wings and reaching her claws at Lu-Lu sniffing the books. Rolling up the parchment, Angelus turned back at Ezra who had Lu-Lu cornered.
“Ezra.” Angelus said sternly.
Backing down, Ezra returned to Angelus and shook her head.
“Sorry.”
“I know. I need you to take this to Lucius please.” Angelus tied a blue formal ribbon around the parchment’s center.
“Yes milady.” Ezra nodded and hopped like a normal bird to the window and stretched her wings. “Milady, I feel bad mentioning this for I may get her in trouble, but the little lady has been reading your mail.”
“Kathryn?” Angelus asked tying the robes around her waist.
Ezra nodded. “Yes. She’s been horrible lately milady. She mutters in her sleep, she’s been having a cold sweat, and not to mention she’s terrified of being alone. She’s acting like the Dark Lord is after her or something.”
Angelus stared at Ezra for a moment. The room felt cold along with Angelus, she felt so nerve racked that she could feel her hair returning to it’s silver base.
“Something bad is going to happen.” Ezra said. “Something very bad if it’s causing the little lady to get sick over.”
“Send that to Lucius.” Angelus said as though it didn’t matter.
“Yes milady.” Ezra turned to the window again but stopped once more to look back at Angelus. “Kathryn wants you to stay away from here. She believes that your about to do something… very unforgivable.” And at that the owl was off.
Angelus waited. She waited for nothing but seven o’clock to roll in. She changed into her school clothes, back into her Slytherin uniform (which still fits), and she gathered her books for her first class, Double Potions. One in the morning, and one before lunch.

Don't really mean to spam, but just letting everyone know that this story and my other fan fic: Severus Snape's Lost Childhood Diary are completly different stories. Same characters, different storyline. Please read that one two, I had forgotten about it and I feel terrible about it. It's a very read good for those who hate and yet love Severus Snape.
