Great not only had i pissed the worlds worst mother off but now i faced the pocibility of getting grounded to my bed, how much stupider could i have gotten. "I am going to go make breakfest, if you are not up and ready when the eggs are done then i swear to you i will feed you to the Tarpit Demons." I jumped out of bed and had my pants and shirt on before she left my room. Twenty minutes later i was sitting at the table eating a nice big porstion of eggs and bacon. Mother thought that if i ate more i would grow bigger. I would get bigger yes but not up wards. My lil brother and sis came in about 5 minutes after me. "Big bubba can i go with youon you adventure today?" The most frequently asked question of the house. The answer was always "No".

" hey dont dump him on me I have to go to the pits today. Sorry lill bro but your stuck here all day." My mother looked up from the dishes and said "Ok since nobody is going to be nice to Jeffery ill make the decision, he will go with you Shawn." Ohh my god my mother just put my brother with me life just got so much worse. "Mom he cant go with me its dangerous on Mars make him go with Brandi." "No he needs to see what he'll be fighting when he's your age so make him see now than latter." "But whats the point if he gets killed?" "Hell be safe he with you. And you can heal him if he gets hurt." "But mom i cant bring him back from the dead!" "Thats the end of the story no more arguing he going with you shawn and thats it!"

I said as we walked toward a deserted part of the forest. it was usuall ypacked because it was a favorite pick up point but because of the day and time no one was there. "Sorry you shawn you just move to fast. I cant keep up slow down."
I stopped and pulled out my secondary weapon. A Explosive hyper plasma pistol. Light with a laser sight achoice weapon for beginners. i loaded it and gave it to Jeffery. "You know how to shoot dont you?" "Dad taught me before he dissapered."
"Good i whant you to have it becasue itll be your best friend out there. Dont waste my ammo only take shots you need." We sat down and waited for the PickUpWing to arrive. I pulled out my Minigun and loaded the chamber,set it to the side and pulled out my short sword. "Here take this to. Only use this when you have no ammo and have no other opptions left." My brother was silent as he took the blade from my hands." Shawn why do we have to kill them?" "Kill what?" "You know the monsters, or demons." "Because if we dont they will kill us. its they way of life if we dont kill them they will invade us. But since there are so many of them we have to form teams and groups to take them down. Did you know there are about 4 million different teams? And about 6 people in each team. Then theres about 4 thousand free lance people like me who will help the teams when they need it but whont join one." "Why dont you join one shawn?" "Becasue i dont whant to yet i will later but not now i whant to highly experienced before i join a team."
Just then the sound of the PickUpWing could be heard. "Ok get ready they know your coming but dont like the idea so youll be staying close to me the whole time so dont be stupid and make me look like a fool." The PickUpWing landed and we started toward it.

Interesting story! Update.

As we stepped on to the PickUpWing (from here on known as PUW) the air became cleaner and light filled the cabin. The Red Stars were sitting around and joking with eachother. I had only met them once before. I was there Mage then too."Hey shawn long time no see huh?" "Guess so. So which side of Mars we going to?" The captain looked at me and smiled "Not the side little boys should be on." I knew instantly that we were headed for Mount Coga. the very first city that was built was buitl on Mount Coga. Thats when the demons were first seen. After about two weeks the city was destroyed and abanddoned. In the ruins now lay one of the first portals to hell. As we flew i opened my spell book and started preparing some of my spells. The crew mates and my brother new this requiered a quiet and peaceful enviroment and kept quiet. The flight to mars let alone took ten hours. To get to Mount Coga it took another three hours. So i had plenty of time to prepare. After about four hours i had prepared 10 spells and was ready for the oncoming flight. I opened my pack pulled out my Minigun pressed a hidden button and a small compartment opened pooled all my spells into it and closed it back up. The compartment ackted as a spell pouch were i could acces my spells and fire at the same time.The crew emediattly loosened up and strted to talk again. For some strange reason my brother fit in well and was excepted by the crew. At age 34 i was the eldest in my family other than my mother who was two months away from 60. Brandi was 26 but acted 15. Jeffery was just now turning 16 and acted 6 but fought like he was my age. When we got to the landing point I stoped jeffery and said "Stay behind me at all times. From what i can tell the Red Stars will protect you but just in case stay behind me." We all got off the PUW and started toward the first kill location. The scout who was up front turned on his demon radar and said "Guys i am already picking up two big one about 400 yards infront to the right." I emediatly pulled out the mini and turned of the safety. My brother did the same with the pistol."Stay behind me and dont go shooting me in the back." Just as back came out of my mouth a demon cry rose up into the mars air."Ok one of the creatures starting to come towards us he should be within visual range." The guner who stood directly behing the scout said "I got visual." and heavy machine gun fire wailed threw the air. After a few seconds it stopped. "Its down." said the scout "I think one of those shots when crazy because the other one just whent down two must have gotten a lucky head shot." "Right, i just got lucky, ok.Jeffery looked at me and said "did you see it Shawn?" "No sorry it wasnt close enough."

As we started toward the center og the city the scouter said "I think we are clear for a awhile i am not even getting a heat reading in there, so lets go a head and nuke the hole before we lose our chance." I looked over to the captain "Nuke?" "Sorry shawn forgot to tell you were here to close the whole up for good. Its not going to go off until we have left the blast radius. I made it myself i should know." I looked over at Jeffery and said "Did you know about this?" "They told me but i thought you already knew." We started into the city and as we did the fog around us cleared to reveal a dead city. Building that were probably twenty story hi were no two or three storys high. there were wholes were demons had lived or were now living. As we walked Jeffery pulled out the blade and fiddled with it. i whanted to tell him to put it away but i dint trust that there was nothing out there. As we got closer to the center of the city i decided to pull out the mini and prepare just incase. As i did a cloud crushing noise came from in front Jeffery and me. The building to our wright crumbled as a giant demon came threw it. I could here the Red Stars swearing and weapons starting to fire. I aimed my mini and pulled the trigger. the demon reached down and grabbed my brother around the waist. I saw the blade in his hand slash vilantly at the rist and fingers of the giant demon but the small blade did little. My mini finnally pured to life and bullets sprayed the demon the bullets were blessed by my hand and were tearing chunks of the demon. But just as the peices were falling they regrew. The demon lifted his hand and droped Jeffery into his giant tooth lined maw and with a sickening crunch started chewing. Everything whent black right then and i dint come to until we were back on the PUW.

" Shawn come on wake up bud.Come on i know it hurts but you have to wake up."
I opened my eyes and pain shot threw my skull like a bolt of lightnigng."Ahhhh!" The Red Star crew all gasped "Ohh my god hes still alive." I tried to say something but when i moved my mouth to speak my head hurt a thousand time more than before. I tried to move the rest of my body but i couldnt it felt like i was strapped down." Hey shawn do not try to move.You just pulled one of the stupidist stunts i have ever seen in my life and i am surprised you are still alive." I heard one of the men start to move toward me, an un familiar female voice spoke "Dont. leave him be.I am pretty sure he whants to be alone." On the contrary i whanted to know were Jeffery was and what was wrong with me."Whats up guys why am i strapped down?What happened out there?" An unbelievable amount of pain whent through my throat and head as i spoke but i realy whanted to know what happened. "Shawn dont speak.You arent strapped down. You are heavily sedated. After you brother was eaten i think you lost it and you attacked the demon with your bare hands. Stupidist thing i have seen in awhile but have to give you points for bravery. the demon wacked you one and proceded to tearyou lim from lim. Your arms and legs are gone. If it wasnt for this Mage that was with another team then youd be dead now. Sorry but your brother didnt make it."

Three Years Later

What a hourible dream. I sat up in my bed and looked around. Why couldnt i see his face? Why am i still having nightmares about my brother? Why cant i just forget it? Why? All these questions and many more ran threw my brain like water down a water fall. I was so overwelmed my brain shut down and i began to cry. I hadnt had a night mare about my brother for about a week. It had been exactly three years ago he died and i still couldnt stop mourning his death. I quit hunting about a week after his death. And beleive it or not a week after that the demons for some reason had stopped there attack. A few were seen every now and then but for the most part they had stopped attacking. My mother had shacked up with this dude from a team i had never heard of before. he was cool and all but just wouldnt stop talking. I had recently found a jod loading cargo onto space ships and other space bound vehicles. It paid good money and I was good at it. My sister married one of my best friends from the red stars.
