Title: Sora vs. Haru Glory
Description: Keyblade Master vs. Rave Master

Okay so this is Sora (Kingdom Hearts) vs. Haru Glory (Rave Master manga). I think it would be a VERY even battle. Both are young heroes and neither are really good swordsmen (compared to people off Kenshin). Both can also change their swords into different forms and most of thier swords correspond with one another. Like Sora's Lionheart keyblade produces explosions when it connects with something just like Haru's Explosion sword. So it would be very, very even. What does everyone think?

Haru would easily win. if you are going by gameplay purposes, sora would never lose because of curaga and such. in the storyline, sora is never shown to have anything but the kingdom key. not only that, but haru is more experienced.
This is haru's battle..I don't think anyone could lose to a guy with clown shoes.

Please explain why though. Without a clear definition I'm just going to believe you are biased. Haru's later Ten Commandment powers are powerful yes but still. I say Sora has all his skills and magic except Curaga and healing items so would that change your belief? I think overall Haru would win but it wouldn't be a completely one sided battle. And then there's Sora's new skills in KH2 which I haven't even seen yet so Sora may win after all.

Haru's speed and insane durability can help him pull a win. Having a strong sword helps too.

Biased? I own kingdom hearts and i'm picking up kingdom hearts 2 tommorow. the only thing i'm biased towards in this world is shoujo-ai, which will never be in a debate.
I stated WHY, read clearly...

I haven't played KOH one, but I'll say Haru will win since I've seen all his skills and unless his sword is taken away he have a very good chance of winning, and because of all the things symphony typed.... no loosing against a guy with clown shoes thats for sure. xD

Sorry didn't mean to sound offensive. There's just so many people on this board that only say their favorite character will win even though they probably won't. You said why Sora would lose but I don't think you said why Haru would win which is what I'm looking for. I say Haru would win too but since niether of them would be pulling out all the stops to win it would be even until Haru pulled out the later Ten Commandments forms. From Melforce up would probably hurt Sora pretty bad. I'm getting Kingdom Hearts 2 tonite though, so before long I should know the rest of Sora's powers and will be able to say for sure.

Ooooo....toughie....I think that Haru once he has the ultimate form or Rave...then again I have never played Kingdom Hearts....but I do know that Sora has magic...

You didn't sound offensive, I was just anxious yesterday, forgive me.
Anyway, I can't really say about haru. I am not biased like that, well..maybe towards aerith or KOS-MOS, but certainly not haru or sora. I have watched some episodes of rave master, and have seen some of haru's powers, but not all. if I recall correctly, before they took it off the air, I was watching haru and his friends taking on a gang of some powerful guys. I recall each of them taking on one and that the lizard guy transformed into some kind of human dragon-esque thing. Well yeah.
I usually diverse story from gameplay. in gameplay perspective, sora has so many abilities and powers such as curaga and such, he would never lose. that's not fair to haru because he doesn't have anything like that. but haru's powers are his own, while in the story sense, sora has nothing but the kingdom key and doesn't display any horribly astronomical abilities. it depends on what you are going by.
If it's gameplay, certainly sora. if it's story, I would give it to haru.
Majin Legato - March 30, 2006 10:58 PM (GMT)
Well I think Cure and Summon abilities are very unfair so if I was writing a story where they fight I would take those out. Haru would still probably win in the end though cause all of Sora's magic would be useless against Runesave. Plus Haru is a lot faster with Silfarion.
IHATEKIKYOU12 - March 31, 2006 01:05 AM (GMT)
Haru...but i'm only saying this because I think that's how it would be... I can't think of any reasons...
ginkasumi - April 6, 2006 03:10 AM (GMT)
gin: Sora would probably win. after seeing his new abilities in Kingdom Hearts 2, I'd say he has a pretty good chance of winning. I haven't really read all the mangas yet for Rave Master, so I'm a little iffy with Haru winning. does that make me sound biased or something?
Majin Legato - April 7, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
Yes his new forms make this battle even more.... well... even. If he is able to use drive forms by himself like in that tournament (Cerberus Cup?) that would even the playing field greatly.
