Ch. 1 Who are you?

Is it worth it can you even hear me Standing with your spotlight on me
Not enough to feed the hungry I'm tired and I felt it for awhile now
In this sea of lonely The taste of ink is getting oldIt's four o' clock in the fucking morning

FIRST PERSON P.O.V.
A teenage girl walked down the street with her ipod in hand and earbuds in. "The Taste of Ink" By The Used blasted in her ears. Her long jet black mid- back length hair blew in the soft breeze. Her red and black backpack covered in The Used pin patches thumped against her back. Her name is Kylie parker. She's 17 years old and is a sophomore in her high school. She goes to Bayside high school. She also lives in Denver, Colorado with her dad. Her mom died of cancer when she was 10. She was considered a freak at school 'cause she has blood red streaks in her hair and mostly wears band shirts and cargo pants. She's queit but is mostly the one called on by the teachers. Little did she know that her life was about to be turned upside down.

KYLIE'S P.O.V.
"Why does Mr. Jacobs have to alway call on me? He even gave me a ton of homework" I thought to myself. I let a long sigh and continued down the sidewalk. When I was almost to my drive way I saw a flash of light followed by a loud crash. I ran over to the source of the crash. Which happened to be where the lake by my house was. I saw a huge spaceship looking thing crash by the bank of the lake. I hid behind a tree as the door of the ship opened.

MEANWHILE....
"Where is Zieke?!" A teenage boy with short spikey silver hair with black roots and cloudy grey eyes shouted running through a automatic metal door to a lounge- like room. "Calm down, Hiro. He's probably out somewhere relaxing." Replied another teenage boy with coal black slightly spiked hair and blood red bangs. He had cobalt blue eyes. "Yeah, more like laying in a tree sleeping." Hiro mumbled. Hiro walkedover and sat next to the other boy. "Whatever you say Tristan." Hiro said laying his head back over the back of the couch and closed his eyes. Just as he did that the metal door opened again to reveal two more teenage boys. One had Short, ear length brown hair and light green eyes. The other had bright orange ruffled hair with bright yellow streaks. "HELLO EVERYONE!!" The brown haired guy yelled causing Hiro to jump three feet in the air and land head first on the floor. "Hello to you too Shuichii." Tristan replied calmly. Shuichii and the red head walked into the room. The red head yawned and put his hands behind hi head. His eyes were closed. "Where were you Zieke?" Hiro asked standing up and charging up to the red head. He got two inches infront of his face and glared at him. Zieke opened his eyes to reveal deep crimson eyes with tints of orange and a lighter red. "I found him in the room next door sleeping on the couch." Shuichii replied answering for Zieke. "AHA, I KNEW IT!!" Hiro shouted triumphantly. Zieke just yawned again causing everyone but him and Hiro to pull anime falls. Hiro got a sweatdrop the size of Texas on the back of his head. The others got up and sat down on the couch. Suddenly the intercom came on. "Attention all guardians. Please report to the placement hall immediately." a female voice announced. "Well looks like we have another mission." Tristan said standing up once more. " It's about time." Zieke added as they all got up and left the room.

That's all for now. I'll write more later. My hands are starting to cramp. BYE!!

They entered a large room where all the other guardians were. They sat at the end of the long table in the middle of the room. Then the metal door opened revealing a woman in her early 20s. She had long pale blonde hair that reached her knees and emotionless blue eyes. "Welcome all guardians." She satarted getting everyones attention. "As you may or may not know, Today is the day every 20 years that you will be assigned to a mortal on earth." She contiuned as she looked arund the room. She bagan assigning them their mortals. "Hiro, you're to watch over a girl named Jessica wilson. Tristan you're to watch over a girl named Samantha Johnston. Shuichii you're to watch over Lisa Williams. And Zieke you're to watch over Kylie Parker." She Said looking at Hiro,Tristan and Shuichii. It was quiet except for the snoring in the background. "ZIEKE!!" she yelled causing everyone to look at Zieke. Zieke's eyes shot oen at the sound of his name.
"You're to watch over Kylie Parker." She repeated annoyed. "Yes headmistress!" Zieke shouted sitting up. He sat up so fast he fell backwards and landed hard on the floor taking his chair with him. Everyone but The headmistress and Zieke erupted into fits of laughter. Some fell to the floor from laughing so hard.
Hiro,Tristan,and Shuichii had sweatdrops on the back of thier heads. Zieke was always the slacker and he always slept. After everyone settled down they went to their ships. When Zieke and the guys were about to leave the headmistress stopped them. "I'm sorry but your Ship is still in need of repairs so your going to have to use one of the prototypes." She said sullenly. "That's okay." Tristan replyed and they left. When they got to where the ships were Zieke started to run towrads the protptype ship. "I RIDE SHOTGUN!!!" He yelled as he jumped towards where he thought the door was. "No Zieke this isn't like the one we're used to!!" Shuichii shouted but it was too late. Zieke smacked face first into the side of the ship. He slid down and just layed motionless on his stomach. "When will you ever learn?" Hiro asked shaking his head. "SHUT UP!!!" Zieke yelled looking up at Hiro. The entire front of his face was red. "Come on you two." Tristan said grabbing Zieke by the collar of his shirt and lifting him up with his right hand and grabbin Hiro's shirt collar with his left hand. He sragged into the ship and they were off. When they arrived in Earth's atmosphere the engine failed and they went crashing down to Earth.

KYLIE'S P.O.V.
The door of the ship opened and four teenage boys walked out. One had spikey silver hair with black roots and cloudy grey eyes, The next had coal black hair with blood red bangs and cobalt blue eyes, The third one had ear length brown and light green eyes, The last had orange hair with yellow streaks and deep crimson eyes. The one with black hair and blood red bangs and the one with silver hair and black roots were fighting about something. The other two sighed. Then I realized I was leaning to the side a little too much and I tripped and fell out from behind the tree and right infront of the teeage guys. They all looked at me with confused looks on their faces as I stood up brushing myself off. "Uhh...Hi." I said nervously. "Hi." they all said in unison. Then the one with brown hair and green eyes started to walk towards me. "Hey cutie. Your name wouldn't happen to be Lisa Williams would it?" He asked looking into my eyes. "No...My name is Kylie Parker. You are?" I replied blushing slightly. "His name is Shuichii and I'm Tristan" The balck haired one with blood red bangs said pulling the one I guess was Shuichii away from me. That's Hiro and that's Zieke." He added pointing to the red head and the silver haired one. Pleased to meet you all." I stated politely."

"So... Where'd you come from. And what's with the spaceship?" I asked pointing to the now demolished spaceship on the lake's bank. "Well for starters we're guardians sent here to look over certain teens who are having trouble." Tristan said calmly. "Oh, So your like guardian angels." I said excitedly." Yeah, something like that. And we came here on a prototype ship 'cause ours is still in need of repairs." Shuichii added rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah it was going great until Jackass over here lost control of the ship." Hiro said glaring at Tristan. "Hey it wasn't me. The engine failed and then I lost control of the ship." Tristan replied putting emphasis on 'Then'. Hiro just sighed and turned away. I started to laugh at them. They looked at me like this -_-;. "Well I think it's time I went home.

I'll Update soon But My mom found out about me being on here so she grounded me from it so I'm trying to sneak on it every now and then. But right now I'm going through a serious case of writer's block. So Wish me luck. AND I'M OUT!!

"We'll come with you!" Zieke shouted running up beside me. "Okay." I replied looking up at him. I was 5'9" and he was 5'10" so I came up to about his jaw. He was taller then me. I couldn't help but look into his eyes. "Uhh...Kylie. Are we going to go now?" Zieke asked bringing me back to reality. "Oh.. yeah. Come on guys." I said blushing. We started walking to my house and when we arrived I went to the backdoor. "Kylie, Why are we going through the backdoor instead of the front?" Tristan asked confused. "Because I don't know how my dad would react if he saw me with 4 teenage guys. He's very protective of me." I explained opening the backdoor. We walked in and turned to the guys and put my pointer finger to my lips. "Shhhh..." I hushed and continued to walk. "Kylie, is that you." A male voice asked. "Yeah dad. It's me." I replied and ushered the guys up the stairs. I walked into the livingroom. My dad was sitting in his recliner watching TV. "What took you so long?" he asked as I sat on the couch.
Well, I got alittle sidetracked. You know easily distracted I am." I lied smiling. "Hmm. Well atleast you made it home in one piece." He replied grinning. I walked out to the kitchen and got a Vault out of the fridge. "Well, I'm going upstairs to do my homework," I announce walking towards the stairs. "Okay." he answered focusing on the TV. I ran upstairs and ran past the guys who were looking at me with confused looks on their faces. "Come on." I said quietly and opened my bedroom door. They followed me inside and I closed the door. I walked over to my dresser and took out my green and black CD holder. I put my The Used "In Love And Death" CD in and turned it to "Cut Up Angels". I turned it loud enough so My dad couldn't hear me talking. I sat on my bed beside Zieke and Tristan. Hiro leaned against the wall infront of my bed. His arms folded acrossed his chest. Shuichii sat on the floor with his back against my bed. "So... Who guardians are you?" I asked looking at the guys. "I have to look over a girl named Samantha Johnston." Tristan said. "I have to look over Jessica wilson." Hiro said.
I must watch over Lisa Williams." Shuichii answered. "And I was sent to watch over you." Zieke answered grinning. "I see." I said smiling. I know all those people. They're friends of mine." I added happily. "Awsome!!" They said in unison. "Well It's time for me to go to sleep so I'll see you tomorrow after school." I said standing up. I walked over to my dresser and pulled out a red tanktop with a black star on the front, and black night shorts with the word "Rebel" in white letters down the side. I walked into the bathroom that connected to my room and changed. I walked out and saw all the guys asleep. Tristan and Zieke were asleep on the floor and Hiro and Shuichii were in the corner. I smiled and climbed into bed. I fell asleep when my head hit the pillow.

The next part is going to be hilarious. So watch out foor it. AND I"M OUT!!!

The next morning I woke up to the sound of voices. They were saying: "shhh, shut up, dude you'll wake her up." and various bursts of laughter. "What are you guys doing?" I asked raising my eyebrow, "Nothing." They said in unison. Then I tried to sit up, but I felt something heavy on my back. I was laying on my stomach. "Whoever's on top of me, get off now." I demanded trying to sit up again. "I don't think so, I'm comfortable right here." That oh so familiar voice said. "Zieke, I'm serious, get off! I want to get dressed, I have school today." I said getting frustrated. "Not until you say please." Zieke replied calmly making the rest of the guys laugh. "Fine, please?" I said with a sigh. He didn't move. "That's it!" I yelled and turned on my back and with all my strength I kicked Zieke onto the floor. All I heard was a loud thud and a "owww!" from Zieke. I smirked and sat up. "That's what you get for making me mad." I said walking over to my dresser. Hiro, Tristan, and Shuichi all had shocked faces and stared at me. "What, 5 years of Karate comes in handy sometimes." I said simply. I grabbed an outfit and walked into the bathroom. The last thing I heard was "Remind me never to mess with her." That came from Hiro. I smiled and shut the bathroom door. I changed into a black Hurley t-shirt, and faded destroyed jeans. I walked out and slipped on my grey skater Vans and picked up my backpack. I said bye to the guys andwent downstairs. I said bye to my dad and left for school.

"You like her don't you?" Hiro asked raising his eyebrow. "Wh-What? Of course not. I'm only here to protect her and nothing more." Zieke replied puffing out his chest, proudly. "You keep telling yourself that, Zieke." Tristen said laying back on the floor. Zieke looked away and huffed. His face turned a light pink. "I hate you guys." Zieke mumbled crossing his arms over his chest. "Aww.. We love you too, Zieke." Shuichii said kissing Zeike on the cheek and hugging him. Zieke shook him off and the guys started laughing. "Whatever, I'm out of here." Zieke announced standing up and leaving Kylie's room. He crept downstairs and peeked into the livingroom. Kylie's faher had gone off to work. Zieke sighed in relief and plopped down on the couch. He ran his fingers through his flaming red hair and closed his eyes. "Do I like her?" He asked himself as he laid his head on the back of the couch.

Kylie's P.O.V.
"Kylie! Kylie! Wait up!" A girl with long, wavy chestnut brown hair and light blue eyes called running down the hall towards my locker. "Hey Sammy, what's up?" I asked closing my locker. It was the end of the day once again. I slung my backpack onto my back and turned to her. "Is it alright if I walk home with you?" She asked trying to catch her breath. "Sure, is Lisa and Jessica coming?" I asked looking over her shoulder. "Yeah, they' ll be here in a minute." Samantha replied, finally calmed down. No sooner had she said that, Lisa and Jessiac turned the cornor and looked tobe in another of their fueds. Lisa has shoulder length red hair with streaks of black and light green eyes. Jessica has long, jet black hair that reaches her shoulder blades and deep blue streaks. Her eyes are light brown. "I'm telling you, cats will take over the world. There's somuch more of them in American households than dogs." Lisa started, glaring at Jessica. "No, you my friend are terribly mistaken. Dogs are way more loyal and will take over the world first!" Jessica replied as her and Lisa went into a glaring contest. It was similar to the staring contest, but not quite. "Li, Jessi. Does it really matter who takes over the world first?" Samantha asked stepping in between the two. "YES!" Lisa and Jessica replied in unison. I just sighed and shook my head. "Come on, you three. Let's get going. I have some people I want you to meet." I announced walking towards the main entrance of the school. All three of their heads perked up and followed me, closly might I add to my house. FFW to My house... "Guys, I'm home!" I called walking through the door. Lisa, Jessica, and Samantha stayed behind me. "GOT CHA!!!" That oh so familiar voice yelled tackling me to the floor. I heard Lisa screamed and then her body went limp. She fell to the floor, Jessica and Samantha froze in horror. "Ky-Kylie, who is that?" Jessica stuttered pointing to Zieke, who was ontop of me after tackling me. Zieke started laughing and let me up. "That's payback for this morning!" He yelled pointin a finger a me. "This is Zieke, Zeike, these are my friends Lisa, Jessica, and Samantha." I introduced smiling. Zieke walked over to Lisa's limp body and pokedit with his foot. "KYlie, I think I killed your friend." He said looking at me sadly. "No, she just fainted, that's all." I replied picking her up off the ground and with Zieke's help we laid her on the couch. "What's with all the commotion!?" Hiro yelled from my room upstairs. Then the guys came running down the stairs and froze in the entryway to the livingroom.
