You're stuck in a world of the future, The Ice Age came at an unexpected blast in a couple of short months and more then 3/4 of the worlds' population died. There are so many that are on the brink of death, and some with full health, still. Luckily, there was a shelter, the only one open during the ice age.

This shelter was a public cabin close to one of the highest ski slopes of the world, it held many rooms and it was very special because it was already covered by ice and stones, so it did not freeze when the ice came tumbelling. (sp?)

The heat collides with the cold rush and manages, bcause of a special type of insulation, to keep the tempurature nice inside.

Alongside the shelter there was a lab, it was actually build under the cabin, therefore giving off even more heat, and scientists had creatures from the past, the present, and mutations for the future. During the break of winter, though, some of the creatures broke free and dug their way to the surface. Because of their ability to live with the cold weather, the animals adapted fine, but because of an improper mix from chemicals they turned into creatures that planned on destroying whatever was left of humanity.

During the Ice Age, though, her box shattered and she broke free, he swore to catch her again because she was not a full and complete experiment.

Bio: Kyra made it to the shelter with her brother during the first month she started noticing the changes. Though her brother isn't blood related(a step brother), she trusts him most and feels most open to him. Her brother is the family she has now, while her mother and stepfather, she doesn't know the whereabouts of. Kyra came to the shelter with her younger brother a while after they ran away from home. After not seeing their parents for years most likely, they realized that it wasn't safe to remain at the apartment they lived in together because of the coming Ice Age and went to find shelter. They heard about the shelter from rumors but decided to go there, using just that, and it saved their lives by doing so. She feels that her brother is the only one who she can really trust now. He connects with her as more than just a sibling. Her brother understands how it feels to have a step parent and go through the process of divorce.

Bio: Kyosuke was an undercover spy before the ice age hit. He was ranked 006, one rank below 007. On the night of his most important mission, his airplane crashed due to a massive blizzard triggered by the ice age. Luckily for him, his plane crashed just outside of a lodge that was about a couple of miles away. Kyosuke wandered from his crashed plane and found the ski lodge. As soon as he reached the building, he fell unconscious right in front of the door. The next day he woke up in a bed, not knowing what the world has become.

allright ok!

This morning was nice, it was very nice. The light shon(sp?) and melted snow, and made puddles on the deck of the shelter in the north. But it wouldn't last. It never did. The snow would come sooner or later and cover up twice the amount that melted. The snow age became a constant winter up here and nothing ever changed.

Scyth was in the lab, working out a formula for a special poison that could be released to destroy winter-insects around the area. He looked into the beaker and then poured some contents into a different beaker and examined the results.

Sana sat on the porch with her soat slightly open and she read a book with the light from the once-in-a-while sun and sighed.

Freya made her way, walking around the cabin watching the guests inside and out, none of which attempted to take a swing at her, as she's noticed.

There was a bulletin posted, explaining why:

Broken Lab Experiment

Freya, a mix of three dangerous animals; Undomesticated Cat, Pre-line Wolf and Viper Rattlesnake has escaped from the lab and is a danger to all! Warning, stay clear when alone, she may spring an attack.

Meryl opened her eyes to the very rare sun. She looked at her clock.....8:00 AM?! Meryl shot out of bed and got ready very quickly. She grabbed her lab coat, her keys to her room, and left, locking the door behind her. She quickly walked down the hall, and down the stairs, and then to the lab. She swiped her card, and went in. As she rounded a corner, she saw Scyth. "Morning. Sorry I'm late. You know the sun's out." she said, setting her stuff down.

He turned to her "morning, oh no problem it's allright. Yea i thought it was out, im still getting nowhere with this experiment...." he said shaking his head "let's have a coffee to wake you up" he laughed walking into the kitchen

She laughed, "How thoughful of you." followed him. "So you're no where further,eh? Well. What chemicals have you been using? You could probally mix some new ones, and take some out, and what not." she said, getting two cups down, handing one to Scyth, and pouring herself some coffee, then putting some milk and Splenda in. Then mixed it, and drinking it, slowly. "Maybe coffe would work" she laughed sarcastically.

he smiled, "I've tried and i've tested, but nothing seems to work..." he said thanking her for the cup and adding some coffe to his. He doubled it and sat down "i dont know what else to add..."

She had a slightly blank face while she though. She took asip. She leaned against the counter. "What about...Carbon Dioxcide and/or Carbon Binoxcide. Yes it may effect the atmosphere, but, if mixed with the right other chemicals, it may not. There's also Neon and Hydrogen."

Appearance: He's considered short for a man as he hasn't finished growing and has black hair with tannish streaks in his hair. They come naturally though he doesn't really know why. Yang likes to wear baggy pants that fit enough so they won't fall off and shorts(but of course, it's not like he can really wear those now.) It doesn't really matter to him what colour he wears, but it's normally dark blue, white, gray, tan, and dark green.

Bio: Yang was born to a mother who always treated him as a poison, and a father who tried to shield him from the treatment. Ever since his parents divorced and his father remarried into Kyra's family 7 years ago, he's never felt settled into his family and home until Kyra took him with her to leave. Despite his relationship with his sister, he doesn't tell her everthing, but instead just listens. Some things he believes shouldn't be told unless necessary.

Yang was lying down on a couch in the lounge/lobby area of the shelter. He looked up at the ceiling as the rays of light began leaking itself into the room through the curtains. He smiled. It was something that he hadn't seen in months. During his stay in the shelter, he's seen people come in and out, seeking a home or place to stay until it was over. Though, he knew. This day and age would not be quick to pass.

Once during his time as a small child, it seemed so impossible, that thought of the human race dying out, didn't cross his mind. And now, it was more than likely that it would come true. He awaited the day.

As he was about to get up, he saw a woman sporting a labcoat in a hurry. "Those scientists..." he sighed and said quietly to himself. "They're still at it."

Yang heard a door click in the direction the woman headed off in.

The soft sunlight danced upon Kyosuke's face, telling him that it was time to get up from his sleep. Kyosuke lazily got up from his uncomfortable bed and slowly rubbed his sleep eyes awake. Even though the sun wouldn't last long today, Kyosuke was happy that it was out for once. Ever since that blizzard he encountered on his plane, he was never able to see the sun for a long time. He wasn't really sure how long, but it was too much for him to handle.

Kyosuke grabbed both his guns and loaded them with one of the last bullets he has. Living in total fear wasn't on his agenda. Living in the cold and snow wasn't his cup of tea as well. "Damn it all, why couldn't I see this comming?" cursed Kyosuke as he left room 20, his room in the lodge. "if only I had enough time to complete my mission, then I would have become a 007."

The ex-undercover spy strolled down the halls as he made his way towards the stairs. He wasn't too fond with this building, but all he really wanted now was the fresh cold air.

Kyra sipped at her luke warm coffee in the kitchen. Warm air and steam from the coffee brushed against her face, warming up her skin.

Her head tilted to the side as she looked down at the watch she was wearing. "I should wake him up now" Kyra gulped down the rest of the coffee quickly with the thought that she could burn herself despite it wouldn't happen. She was remembers the times from when it did happen, too well.

Kyra got off the wooden chair she sat at and washed the mug she borrowed from she shelter. She brushed the hair away from her face and headed off towards the corridors.

Cassa sat on her bed, her knees tucked under her arms. She looked outside and whiped her eyes, salty tears were still apperant on her face but she got up. " get a hold of your-self Cassa." she said to herself and opened her door, closing and locking it behind her before going to the lobby, her sketch book in her hand and a pencil tucked in her pocket.


She went to the lobby and layed herself across a couch. Opening her book and getting out her pencil. She started to trace the outline of a face.

Yang turned his body to see another person; a girl of around his age in the room. She held a book in hand and a pen. Assuming, he thought and muttered to himself 'What's the use of studying in this weather? It's not like you're going to get out of this hell hole any time soon to make a living." Covering his mouth, the 14 year old boy sighed. His weight shifted from a lazy position on the couch to an upright position on the carpet.

Yang walked over to the brown haired girl and tapped her on the shoulder. "Look, if you're new here," he said lethargically "you're not getting---"

The boy interrupted himself with his own noticings and curiosity. "You draw?"

Sana got up and glanced quickly at Freya who haddn't stopped patrolling the lobby and she opened the door and went inside. She walked to the fireplace and kneeled in front of it. The fire was out but in the ashes, there was a frame. She stood too close for others to have a view but the picture in the frame was still intact. She left it there and covered it in ashes.

When she got up she turned to walk away but her card key fell. She hadnt noticed but she kept walking down the left wing hall.

Zura sighed and nodded "Ill try it." He went back to his experiment and added the new chemical options. They exploded in his face.

"pft" he said spitting stuf out of his mouth "too much...pft...blagh" he said going upstairs and openingthe door. He crossed the lobby and said nothing to the staring people. He knew that they had a reason to stare but he didn't say anything.
what? My face is black and my hair standing up...what? he said in his head.

Although this place was the only place to stay, Kyosuke didn't like the feeling of the lodge. He knew that the scientists staying here would never bring back what earth once was. He believes that only magic or something paranormal would chance back what it once was. He would suggest those scientist to travel back in time and correct whatever started this whole mess, but if th at happened time would be screwed up.

Kyosuke walked into the lobby noticing everyone who some how survived the blizzard. None of the people staying here he knew nor one was his friend. Ignoring and shutting out everyone, he left the lobby and walked out into the outdoors.

When Sana realsied her keys weren't at her side she turned and saw them on the floor. She picked them up and went to her room. She opened the door but realised her book stood on the table of the patio. She nudged and sat on her bed, other bed vacant and thought, if someone finds it it has my name and room number on it anyway... she agreed to go tomorrow and get it if noone brought it to her today..

Meryl jsut stared with wide eyes. Then her eyes followed Scyth as he walked out. Then she went over to where he was. She figured out which chemicals he had in previously. Then took some out, and put in neon. The liquid went from a dark green, a clear color. Then she added two drops of carbon dioxcide, ad it turned a very very very very very light shade of blue. She siled. Then went after Scyth. She got to his room, and knocked.

When Kyosuke reached the outside patio, he noticed that someone left their book on the table. He knew that it wouldn't be kind if he did not return the book to the rightful owner. Who knows what will happen to it if it was left outside with the animals. Kyosuke took the book off the table and headed back inside. "Looks like the room number and the name are on this book." thought Kyosuke

Zura opened the door with a towel on his face "oh hello, is something good workin at the lab?" he asked her.


Sana sighed and looked out the window, noticing her book gone "oh jees,, an animal must have taken it.." she shook her head and walked to her fridge and pulled out a drink and sat oh the bed and turnded the TV on. There was a channel for the lodge with news and on right now was a new buletin.

"News For IAP, Some rooms will be closed because of minor flooding in the walls, dangerous for some people, therefor rooms 9, 11, 14, 17, 18, 19, and 20 will be closed temporarily, sorry if this is a problem for our guests but as soon as the cold weather freezes the pipes in the walls we will release the rooms" The guy said on TV.

"oh yea like that's ever going to happen..." she said sighing.

"Accually yes, I figured out what chemicals you had in your beakers before you added the new ones into new beakers, then I took out some chemicals, and put in Neon and Carbon Dioxcide in both of the beakers, getting the same result, but took out different chemicals from each one." she said to him. "So come...follow me and I'll show you."

Zura nodded and left his room, throwing his towel on the table. Upon exiting he heard the lobby TVs brodcast a closure in the rooms "poor people.." he said shakin his head

When Kyosuke reached room 16, he hesitated a bit. "Should I just leave the book outside of this room?" he thought carefully. As he thought more deeply, his hand acted on its own and knocked the door three times. Kyosuke waited for some answer of any kind.

Meryl led him back down to the lab and pointed to the two beakers. "See? The only thing missing, is a plant we need from the outside. At least I think so. I'm hopign the plant is still out there, and that it is the last thing we need." she said.

Cassa looked up from her work and smiled. " Umm yes.... I do." she giggled slightly. " I'm Cassa." She said putting her hand out.

Yang stared at the hand then looked up at her. There was an odd moment of silence between the two for a while before either of them said anything.

"My name is Nagi" He took her hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you." He grinned while trying to hold back a smirk.

Yang was interested in the fact that he had met or even seen someone his age in the shelter. He remembered though that he couldn't tell his real name to people he didn't really know. Yang didn't know the reason for this, but it sounded like a game when his father long told him this. He thought, perhaps this was the reason why he didn't make many friends-- because of his lies and deception.

((^_^;; At first I was gonna make the name Nagy as an anagram of his real name, but I decided on Nagi, cause that's how you would spell it in Japanese))

Kyra walked down the hall and saw a young man standing in front of the door of another room. She ignored the man and proceeded to knock on the door of room 7. "Hey, Yang. Rise and shine." The door swung open "The sun's ou--" She stopped in her tracks.

Silence.

She laughed for a moment and turned her back. "Silly me. I'd forgotten."

As she closed the door behind her, something caught her eye-- the red/orange haired man who still stood in the hall. 'Maybe he locked himself out.' she thought as she walked towards him.

"Ano... If you lost your key or something, I'm pretty sure you can ask for a new one from one of the staff people here." Kyra called out from across the hall.

Cassa nodded. " Nice to meet you too." she replied. Her eyes quickly glancing back at the picture before looking up again. " What did you think I was doing?" she asked.
