A Slave To My Tears

Chapter 1

Actions

There was a short but, long, anticipating silence in the empty room. This room was filled with furniture of all sorts. A pure fur made carpet, pure wooded floors, stain-glass clear windows, large bookshelves filled with scrolls and knickknacks. There was also a master king sized bed pampered down with large quilts made from sheik wolf-demon fur, large cotton-made pillows and a heavy red curtain that wrapped over the bed for some privacy. This room was perfect. But not fit for him. A sound of scrubbing came far west of the room. There in the corner shown a raven-haired young girl wearing a one-piece slave-girl outfit, cleaning and dusting the ungodly dirty walls. What was she? Who was she?

"Hey, slave," an ignorant male voice called out to the girl. "Those walls better be prepared for tonight." the voice stopped at the sight of the girl's face; to him she had the most precious dark brown eyes that made you loose focus for a split second. The figure of a goddess and a plump round face along with rosy-red cheeks that supported her eyes.

"I would be done IF someone didn't disturb me-" the girl was rudely yanked by the man's hands. Once in his grip, she shown no pain nor fear.

"Say that again and I will force you to do whatever it is I say. I have complete control over you." the angered man growled as his sharp claws struck the girl in the face, Blood fell from her cheek as she tempted to brush it off. "Idiotic slave, don't ever use that tone of voice with me…or you'll regret it..."

The girl said nothing, She felt tears drip down from her eyes. More hateful tears shown. She hated him and she couldn't say it to his face,. She hated him. She hated everything he had and will do to her.

"I have a name. It is not slave. It is Kagome...you ought to know that by now, Prince Inuyasha,"

"Shut your mouth..." Inuyasha hissed after gripping his hand to her face. "I'll call you whatever you want. I can make you whatever I want..."

Kagome sighed after feeling blood fall from her face. The scent of blood hissed through the broken soft flesh of the girl. The Prince released his hands from her and stormed off down the hall. More tears fell from her eyes. More silent broken tears fell from her eyes. She hated her life. She completely hated it.

I hate this... Kagome cried harder, only loud enough for herself to hear. As far as she knew, she was the only one who heard her cry. Unaware of this cry, Inuyasha had snuck into the chamber and appeared in front of her.

"What?" Kagome asked after seeing that she wasn't doing work. She quickly picked up a rag, bent down and begun to clean her fallen blood off the floor.

"Would you...like a break?" Inuyasha glanced down at the girl. Her face was cut up pretty badly. He leaned against a nearby wall. "And...seeing that you have so many cuts and bruises...how would...you, umm, like to bathe with me later on tonight?"

Kagome said nothing. Her eyes concentrated on the blood-stained floor. Her movements showed an answer of uncertainty.

"Well, Kagome?" Inuyasha folded his hands and stared at her. The movement of her hands made him want to grasp them, so freely and careless.

Kagome still glanced at the floor. Tears fell from her eyes. Inuyasha sighed, feeling guilty at this cause. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a soft white cloth. He held it in front of her tear-filled eyes. Kagome blinked a few times to visually focus on the new object.

"Wipe your eyes and take a break..." Inuyasha helped her up before heading out the door. "I'll be back in a bit with something for you to eat, I suppose."

Within those words, Inuyasha disappeared down the long corridor. Kagome stood with wonder and awe. Her knees lost support and soon, sent her collapsing to the ground. She held the cloth tightly before trying to clear away some of the blood that stained her face from Inuyasha's forceful markings,

What is going on? First he hates me. Then he hits me...Now he's being kind and generous to me...I wonder why…

Kagome patted her eyes dry before thinking of Inuyasha, Maybe she didn't hate him as much as she thought she did. True, he may of hit her and used some type of force on her, but it never actually shown that he could be...kind...

A Slave To My Tears

Chapter 2

Anger

Why am I here? How did I get here? What made me come to this place?

"Kagome," a woman's voice called from within the iron made cell. "What is your problem?"

Kagome said nothing as she lay flat on her stomach, across the cot in the cell. She tried so hard to concentrate on why she was here in the first place,

"Did he do this to you? Did he?" the woman asked impatiently as her foot tapped against the stone floor. "Answer me, Kagome!"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP, SANGO!" Kagome cussed. She hated being in a room stuck with her aggressive cellmate. "I am in the middle of my own thoughts and THEY do NOT include YOU!"

Sango kept quiet after Kagome snapped. The sound of her anger boiled through the basement. Kagome sighed, releasing her angered energy and soon, went back to her own thoughts. This resulted into a deepened, thoughtful sleep.

"That's her..." a male voice echoed through her mind within her dreams.

Down the steep hill was a girl who apparently was planting some seeds into her garden. She had worn a white robe with flowers stitched onto the sides. She was no more then 12 or 13.

"Excuse me, miss," the man appeared behind her. His hot breath swelled down her bare neck, pushing a few loose strands of raven hair off to the side.

"Hello, Prince..." the girl smiled lightly after placing a few seeds into one hole. She felt her face burn up with a bright pink color; almost like she was set on fire. The sun made the color show even more. "What brings you to these parts?" the girl stood up, wiping her small and delicate hands on a small hand towel.

"I came to see you, my dear," the Prince bowed his head, thus, removing his hood he had placed over his head to hide from unwanted visitors. He slowly lifted up the girl's hand and kissed it with warm kisses.

"No, really?" the girl blushed even more after seeing that the Prince had released her hand. "Why did you even come here, Prince Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha said nothing. His demon ear twitched after he had put the hood over his head. He let out his hand for her to grasp. The girl blushed even more. The thought of holding his hand made her feel numb.

"I wish to take you to my castle. I will treat you like a Queen..." Inuyasha smirked. "Will you come with me, Kagome?"

The sound of snoring and dripping of a wet rag had awoken Kagome up from her sleep. The girl sighed as she wept her eyes dry, For some reason, she bled tears. They were not clear...they were bloody...

"Now I know how I got here..." Kagome let out silently after looking around to see that Sango was gone. She was alone. "I accepted his proposal...I was tricked...he only wanted me...I..."

The girl cut herself off, knowing that she had heard the sounds of feet clashing against the stone-made ground. She was right. The Prince had come down the hall to see her.

What now? What could he possibly want from me now?

"Hey, Kagome," the Prince's voice sounded soothing in a way. The sound of the unlocking of the cell door sounded through out the area. "Do you accept my offer?"

"...I will treat you like a Queen..."

Kagome thought. Those words echoed through her mind. Did he actually tell her that sometime ago? Or, was it just another false lie to get something from her?

A Slave To My Tears

Chapter 3

Notes

There were sounds of throbbing in her mind. Whether or not to answer yes or no, was on the tip of her tongue. Then again, if she left the Prince with a stubborn silence, she'd surly be hit; maybe even more.

"I'm sorry," Kagome complied. The Prince had a confused look on his face by then, "I side-tracked and I forgot...could you refresh my memory?"

Inuyasha snorted, not really wanting to repeat himself. He hated that. He clenched his fists, ready to hit her again, but instead, he snagged Kagome's wrists and drug her out of the cell and down the narrow corridor.

Kagome gulped.

Oh...Kami...what is he going to do now? Is he going to use me? Whip me? Make me clean his chambers? WHAT?

"Kagome," Inuyasha gripped his hand around the girl's small wrist as he drug her down the hall. "I asked if you wanted to eat something...Take a break...take a bath...with me tonight..."

Kagome was stunned. It came back to her now. After he had hit her, he asked her. Was it just to make up for what he did...or something more?

"Um..." Kagome replied after seeing that Inuyasha hadn't let go of her wrist. He wasn't actually putting any force on her at all. In fact, he was just...guiding her. That was odd for him to do. What is he hiding from her?

A few minutes past. Kagome had agreed to eat and to take a break, but she wasn't so sure about a bath...with him anyway. Sure, she wanted to bathe, but not with him. She didn't trust what he would do. But then again, he hasn't tried any other force on her except hit her. Kagome sighed out of frustration on what to do. There was a plate of food, stretched out in front of her. She simply waited orders from the Prince to begin eating.

"What?" Inuyasha noticed that the slave girl wasn't eating nor drinking. "Aren't you hungry?"

Kagome folded her hands, closed her eyes and said, "I await the orders from you, Prince Inuyasha..."

"Look, you can eat and all, just call me Inuyasha. I can't stand 'Prince' infront of my name..." Inuyasha had swallowed down some sort of red saké.

She has a high rank in loyalty to me...other slaves of mine just simply vanished...or I killed them off...Keh...

Inuyasha closed his eyes as he slurped down the wine. Kagome said nothing. She was thinking of how good the food tasted; as well as the wine, Kagome sighed heavenly after clearing her mind of hateful thoughts about Inuyasha; for now anyway.

"So..." Inuyasha broke Kagome out of her desired sleep. "Tell me 'bout yourself, Kagome."

Kagome said nothing for a few minutes. The fear of being hit and, or abused really made her bead in sweat. She controlled that temptation of not saying anything. Inuyasha asked his question again.

"I am Kagome," Kagome looked the other way, catching a glimpse of Sango walking by, She reverted her eyes back to him, unsure of what Sango would say to ruin the meal. "I am a slave girl to an ignorant and abusive Prince..." Kagome sighed, looking away from him. "What else is there to say about me? What more do you want from me?"

Inuyasha sighed after seeing that Kagome really wasn't in the mood to speak; to him anyway. He stood up and headed towards the kitchen.

"Are you still hungry?" Inuyasha asked. Kagome didn't reply; unsure if she would get beat again, "I suppose you are. Look, I'll be in the kitchen,"

Within those words, Inuyasha left to head out into the royal kitchen. Kagome sighed knowing that she'd get stuck cleaning up the mess that they made. Kagome sighed again knowing that Inuyasha would surly hit her if the dishes weren't clean properly. What had she done to deserve this fate? What in the seven hells made her accept to him?

"Come with me...I'll treat you like a Queen..."

Kagome remembered those words. But still, why did he tell her them if he isn't fully fulfilling them? Kagome soon sighed with frustration and soon, fell into a cat nap. It wasn't before long when something hard and glass-like fell into her lap. Kagome felt that it was a small glass-like bottle that was pretty heavy. She opened her eye only to reveal a note attached to it. She opened the scroll carefully. It read:

Use this...it might work for his requiem...
After all, the 'sweet' Prince must have a 'taste' of his own medicine...
No?

~Sango

Kagome stared at the small bottle. What was she to do? Kill him? True, Sango did tell her to poison him, but was it worth it? Kagome would live with the guilty conscience of killing him. His blood would be on her hands if she decided to poison him.

Sango watched painfully as she cleaned up the kitchen. She didn't budge an inch. Her straight eyes indicated: 'Do it...poison that bastard...'

Kagome turned her head away from Sango's view and soon, poured the liquid into the hanyou's drink. What a mistake this would turn out to be. But, Sango wouldn't leave...she wouldn't let her protesting eyes off of Kagome until she did it. Sango smirked and soon, left the area. Kagome noticed that a tear had formed in her eye from the reflection of the now tainted wine.

I don't want to kill him...he doesn't deserve it…

Kagome felt herself tighten inside of what she had done. Now she regrets making a pack with Sango and now she regrets EVEN placing the poison into Inuyasha's wine. What a mess this is going to be.

A Slave To My Tears

Chapter 4

Regrets

Part I

Kagome felt sweat form up inside her. She knew what she must do now. She searched the room. Sango was gone and Inuyasha was still in the kitchen, cooking; well at least trying to, something delicious. But not for long. Kagome could smell that he was cooking something roasted, that could be done in a matter of minutes. She hesitated without fail. She began to look for the wine jug and an empty cup on the table. She found one next to a jar of spices. She impatiently poured the red saké into the empty cup and switched it with the tainted mix. The tainted mix was thrown away in a small hand-crafted trash can.

Kagome smiled knowing that the Prince would live still. But what about Sango? Will Sango be pissed that she didn't get what she wanted? There were so many questions to be answered in so little time. Like: 'why was she defending him?' After he hit her, made her bleed, made her even cry, Why was she EVEN defending him?

A few minutes passed and Inuyasha had come out of the kitchen with another jug of saké in his hands. Before Kagome knew it, she could feel his presence over her. She quickly stumbled over to get the bottle of poison and hide it deep within her slave outfit pocket so he won't even see it. Still, once he sat down, Kagome still wondered why she defended him.

There was a wisp of wind flowing down the hall late that evening. The young slave girl had now laid awake in her cot, resting after a great-tasting meal. Who knew a boy could cook so...wonderfully?
The girl rested her head under her raised arms, constantly thinking about him. Kagome sighed, knowing that she'd be hit by him for even thinking about poisoning his drink. Not to mention he'd abuse her in such ways. Kagome exhaled deeply and soon, fell fast asleep. Her mind flowed with ease and freedom. In this peaceful sleep...she was free. Able to do anything she wanted. Not being a slave to a Prince, but she was free.

The sound of darkness fulfilled the sky. The sound of leaves had dissipated within her every step. There, a girl child about the age of 9 or so had walked a mile or two from her home, wandering deeper and deeper into the forest that had surpassed her home.

'I know he's somewhere around here...' the girl thought with some troubles.

Over in a corner, nuzzled up against an old oak tree, rest a boy about her age or a little older; a demon child. His demon ears flickered within the gentle, caressing breeze. His red kimono along with his red hakama had moved lightly within the breeze. He had soon felt the girl's presence over him and soon, opened his eyes to reveal golden orbs.

"What?" he sort of yawned with a stare. "What do you want? Can't I even rest without you villagers running me out?"

"I came to sit with you..." the girl smiled and walked over to him, "My name's Kagome..."

"And do I care?" the boy snarled after seeing that the girl had sat next to him, closely. He sort of blushed within the darkness.

"C'mon," Kagome smiled, hoping to talk to him.

The demon boy just stared blindly at the ground. Staring at his own shadow. He continued to have a look that showed no expression what-so-ever, Kagome sighed, breaking the silence and soon, began to stand.

"I'll go if you want..." Kagome began to walk towards the exit that leaded to her home.

"Wait..." the demon boy immediately gripped his hand around Kagome's wrist, lightly yanking it to make her stop walking. "I don't want you to go..." the demon glanced the other way. "You're the first person who's ever accepted me..."

The faint sound of foot stomps , clashing against the bare, cold floor. Soon, these steps became closer and closer and soon, this allowed the unlocking of the dark cell. Kagome was still in a fog when Sango angrily stormed in.

"YOU UNGREATFUL BITCH!" Sango screamed, thus, slapping Kagome hard on the face, leaving a nasty hand print. What a wake up call that was.

"Nnnn…?!" Kagome questioned after feeling a fraction of her face go numb. "W-what are you talking about?"

Sango said nothing. Her actions proved it. And soon, Sango and her angered ways socked Kagome directly in the nose, causing it to bleed.

"OW!" Kagome hissed after sort of fending her way away from Sango. "Sango, please, tell me! What did I do?!"

Sango said nothing. Her hand lunged foreword, yanking Kagome's hair, thus, pulling her off the bed, thus, twirling her around, sending the slave girl into the far end of the cell-like wall. Kagome's face was now bruised, bloody and beaten. Sango cussed under her breath and marched over to the now unconscious Kagome.

great update! loved it! :angelstar7: OMG :0_0: I never would of thought that Sango could do something like that, EVER, and Kagome was only trying to be well, nice to Inuyasha. Even after all the things he did. update when you can! :angelstar22:

A Slave To My Tears

Chapter 5

Regrets

Part II

"You," Sango gripped her hands around Kagome's head, lifting her foreword. She soon began to strangle the life out of Kagome; wanting to kill her. "You failed to kill him! Why are you defending him?! All he even done to you was abuse you for his own usage!" Sango gripped Kagome's neck tighter.

The sound of light gasps filled the halls of the castle. This sound echoed down the hall, caressing the walls of the paintings that hung. Sango's rage emerged though the cracks.

"Damn you!" Sango screamed loud enough for Kagome to faintly hear along with the outside world. "It's your fault the Prince is not dead!"

Kagome sort of came out of her dizzy spell and managed to grip her hands around Sango's wrist, squeezing it to make her stop.

"W-what...?" Kagome coughed along with seeing double of everything.

"I should of just killed him myself-"

"W-what he ever do to you?" Kagome redirected the conversation a little.

"He is-"

Sango stopped after realizing that she had heard a low growl emerge behind her. To her surprise, Inuyasha apparently was now filled with anger and disappointment. He had he fists clenched as he stood in the doorway of the now opened cell.

"'He is' what?" Inuyasha growled as he marched his way over to the injured slave girl, thus, keeping eye contact on Sango. He managed to push the hateful slave girl away, releasing her grasp on Kagome's neck. The false actions caused the bruised slave to fall backwards with a reddened neck line, landing in the arms of the angered Prince.

Sango said nothing for she had walked out of the cell in a mannerly matter to pursue her duties within the castle. Inuyasha stared down with a saddened expression on his face. The thought of losing the injured girl made his heart ache with a sad tone.

"Kagome?" Inuyasha found himself practically crying over her. "Wake up, damn it!"

Kagome did not. Inuyasha shook Kagome again. Nothing happened, only her body had moved with a vibration. Inuyasha sighed, knowing that he might of lost the slave girl. He rapidly dashed out of the cell, carrying the girl within his arms, heading down the hall.

Nikoali - July 10, 2006 09:26 PM (GMT)
O.o

"'He is' what?"

That is the hook that will keep me reading this story.
