Update on the little boy who had the stem cell operation, as of today his MRI's improved, he is sz free, he is starting to talk again. His parents say he is more active every day and they are hoping he will be playing soon outside with the other children.

HE WAS FIRST DIAGNOSED WITH AUTUISM,THAN EPILEPSY , THAN BATTEN DISEASE.

The family is home and they will return to OSHU for the regualr checkups.

Hopefully each checkup will bring bring him closer to a healthy normal life .

I found an article on stem cell harvesting but really hesitate to post it. It's so scary and hard to believe.

Donna,did you check out Harvards stem cell research ? They ask new moms to
to freeze their childrens emblical cord for one year than its donated
to their research center for stem cell research. They are funded privatly.
I think its wonderful,not scarey. Think how many pple can be helped and wouldn't
be dependent on meds or live in fear that the meds will kill them slowly.

The article I read had nothing to do with any universities here. It was a black market stem cell harvesting done in the Ukraine. Very sick and scary article, but I have no way of validating this reporter's claim, so I didn't want to repost the story.
