Title: My Primary Care MD is Out of Network
Description: No longer Accepting ANY Insurance

Bonnie - December 17, 2007 04:01 PM (GMT)
Well, my primary care doctor is no longer accepting any insurance of any kind. So now I will have to pay 100% of everything. I am not giving him up, as he helped me get my disability, when no other doctor would. He is two hours away, but I don't see him that often. They want me to come in this week about this sore neck gland. My husband changed to a doctor in our area, but I don't want to do this unless I have no other choice. If my primary doctor retires, then I guess I will have no choice but to switch. But, until he retires I am not going to change. I have been with this doctor for over twenty years, and he knows me so well. He has seen me through thick and thin. He has always been there no matter what was going on in my life. He is the only one doctor that has honestly listened to me and believed me when all the others would not. I guess I will be pretty upset when he retires. What would you do? If you were in my shoes? He has always been supportive, when no other doctor was. Most of the psychiatrists would not help me with the disability. All they told me was go back to work, I didn't need the disability. None of them were supportive!! NONE of them would EVER listen to me about any complaint about anything I brought up. That is why I changed shrinks so many times. Damed Male shrinks! Anyway, I am getting off track here.
Would you stay with your doctor if you were in my situation?
Sincerely,
Bonnie[COLOR=purple]

If that is most comfortable to you, stay with him; if paying up front is not a problem. I am so thankful to have a psychiatrist that has stood by me through thick and thin. He told me he would walk the journey with me and he did! God Bless Dr. Holt! : xmas :
