I have a question, like I said, I don't want the answer to. I have read getting a replacement battery is more or just as expensive as the implant of the VNS. Should I start asking for the battery replacement for my VNS now, so I can get permission from Aetna to have the replacement battery implanted?
I am NOT counting on Aetna to yes to this either, from the problems I went through getting permission for the VNS implant. I just wonder if I need to start another WAR with Aetna insurance company for this now, so I will have permission in another year and a half. :Icky: :So Sad: :fear: :Really Mad:
I just feel better, and want to continue to. I see my VNS doctor in June, she said she would check the battery then too, and she may go up on my voltage. I guess she would know the answer to this question.
I really don't want to start another war with Aetna, but I have a feeling that is what I will have to do to get the replacement battery device put in! Maybe I should start the war now.
Sincerely,
Bonnie

In my case, getting the VNS was the hard part. The battery was a piece of cake!
