Description: change

Anyone had a weather change yet? IT is in the 80's with low humidity in Georgia. It feels great! Too bad it won't stay this way 'til fall!
Birdbomb - August 9, 2008 09:08 PM (GMT)
Our temps have lowered considerably but the humidity has jacked itself up to 60%+ Normal is single digits.
In the afternoon, it clouds up, you hear thunder and the wind blows but nothing happens here at my house! It rains all around the valley and mountains and even some flooding but it hasn't even wet the roads here. : toothy2 :

Very Humid here, and rain, rain and more rain.
Just what I love for our 3 months of summer we have here in Maine!
I think I've gone to the beach 5 times! This summer has sucked!!!!

Storms have passed here, been very hot-close to 100 degrees with humidity. The dogs don't like being out much during the day. Last night it was almsot 90 degrees at around 9pm with a nice breeze.

Temps have dropped considerably here, in the 50s at night.... :D
Light rain this evening, but at least I won't have to water!!!

We're kind of like you BB. We are down in a valley and thunderstorms skirt around us. The ones we have got rain on have been strong with thunder, lighening, and hard winds. We have gotten alot more rain than we got last summer.

You guys will be so jealous...
We've had two glorious days of temps in the mid 70's...low humidity...sunny skies and a light breeze.
Even though I can't be out in direct sun very long, I have found ways to spend hours outside.
Of course....this can all change overnight!

It has been a nice summer in 70-80's with low humidity. We have only gone to the pool here once this summer. Here is Western Maryland it doesn't get hot enough long enough to heat the pool water. And the water was unheated! It was still nice, but I wish they would heat the pool water some. We are right next to Garrett County. My son and I went to a lake in that county in Aug. of last year. FREE. The sand on the beach was cold and water was freezing. I went in for less than a minute; swam around and got out, and stayed out. My son only got halfway in and that was enough for him; it was so cold.
I love to swim and they should heat the pool water here in W. Maryland!! We do not even need air conditioning and don't even have it at 2,00 feet altitude. I like this a lot. During the summer and early fall, the windows stay open, and breeze is blowing through the house; which I love. So, at least this saves of the electric bill  :yes2: .
It is rare for it to be 90 here, very rare.
Sincerely,
Bonnie

We've had a mild summer high 90's, but the humudity will kill you. We have over $359.00 a month in electricity!
Right now it is in the 70's, but it is 80% humidity.

WOWZEERS!!! That is a high electric bill! Some may need a 2nd mortgage just to pay the electric bills.
Hotter than ever here, nothing has changed. Got a hurricane headed straight for New Orleans/Gulf Coast. : toothy2 :

Hope we won't get any rain from it. Depending where in the city you are we got between 5 to 10 inches. It's still cloudy and muggy. I'm ready for fall!

Wow, Labrat; that is one HIGH electric bill. Ours has been about 95.00/month and I am glad we don't need air conditioning up here. The gas bill however (we are on a budget plan) is high, and of course has gone up again. We have gas forced electric for heating. I want to get a wood/furnace system and decrease the gas bill. We pay the same amount monthly, but it is very high, and would be higher if we were not on the budget system they offer. <_<
Maybe your electric company offers this, I don't know. But the way it is here, it's the same payment (for the gas bill) every month with no increases. I don't trust that though; oil heating for homeowners here is much worse than gas. :yes2: So, I am glad that our house doesn't require oil for heating during the winter time. The trees are already turning and leaves are falling to the ground. :Tantrum:
Sincerely,
Bonnie
