I know the surgeons cost and the implant device cost, but can't find hospital

Costs seem to vary depending on the patients needs during surgery and if the procedure is inpatient or outpatient.

Cyebronics says in their advertisments the total cost for the device and implant is $25,000, but that is not true. For mine the total cost was way over that amount and that was outpatient with no complications. There are other members whose costs were way over the quoted amount from Cyeronics My insurance paid their contracted amount and that was double what Cyberonics said it would be. You also have to factor in doctor costs for adjusting the device. If there are complications, there will be doctor charges for that, and if you need the device removed, then there is a lot of money involved in that as well. To sum it up, my implant, all the adjustments, medical bills for complications, and explant cost well over $130,000.

If you are getting quotes for this, you should make sure you get it in writing before implant-I learned the hard way.

Hospital mark up is a variable. I was quoted $15,000 but implant was closer to $43,000. Dr. visits were at the very least $180 EACH. All totaled mine ran close to $200,000.

It all varies depending on the doctor, clinic, hospital, etc. Mine ran over $75,000 for the implantation, $1300 for each adjustment and $31,000 for explantation. Thank goodness for insurance!

Ours cost $46,000. Each adjustment costs about $600.00.

Dog gone, I got a bargain, my adjustments were 300.00 dollars a time.
