xShockwavex - December 20, 2004 08:18 AM (GMT)
lol - indeed after series 4 where did it go....? - it was thier when danny came back at crimbo.... maybe it died!!! - and instead of doing the coverup job they chose to ignore it lol

Perhaps instead of finding Nemo they could find Gail, wasn't that the fish's name?

xShockwavex - December 27, 2004 08:46 PM (GMT)
yeah -"You named her gail? no the guy at the store did" lol

 What kinda super goldfish did he have!?
Man my sister had a new on every week when we were younger...
Nah, but I think they got rid of the goldfish... but who knows he might turn up...

I wonder wow many goldfish they went to during the time they actually had him on!? :D

xShockwavex - January 15, 2005 02:32 PM (GMT)
nah not super but well looked after ;)

Locutus - January 16, 2005 03:24 PM (GMT)
Eh... a Goldfish is what a goldfish does :) HEY! I think I saw it in the last epi... it was in the back on the filling cab... Well the bowl I think... I didn't actually SEE the fish. Maybe it wasn't anything... anywho.

Does CJ have a cat? Or maybe the first cat got him.

Maybe the goldfish didn't get good ratings so they done away with it... I think though it would be cool for them to not show it for a while and then all of a sudden just have it there!

I'm sure when CJ takes over for leo in S6 the goldfish moves offices with her, because she says something along the lines of ''we're not in Kansas any more Gail'' at the end of her first day.

Locutus - January 28, 2005 06:08 AM (GMT)
Yeah but have you seen it since!?

CJ doesn't have a cat, in the season three episode 'Dead Irish writers', when Abby, CJ, Donna and Amy all go upstairs in the residence CJ says

QUOTE

Look, they take this job away from me, I've got nothing. I don't have a cat. I could get one, but I don't have one. Frankly, I'm not wild about cats. I don't hate them. I'm just not... I could learn to like them, I guess, if I...

So i'm guessing Gail is safe from the cat!

ok, just found the best site, go into google, type in gail the goldfish the west wing. Gail has her own web page including the random objects that were placed in her bowl! go Gail!!!

Locutus - February 3, 2005 06:40 AM (GMT)
I'll have to take a look at that site... I hope gail is okay! :) Good thing about the no cat thing ;)

::Spoiler Warning::

ok so i've only seen up to season 4, how on earth does cj end up as chief of staff, sam has to explain anything political to her as it is, how can she run a country, don't get me wrong i love cj but it seems like a continuity issue - she didn't even know what the census was!!!

Locutus - March 9, 2005 02:08 PM (GMT)
CJ knew what the census was but she didn't know about how it worked.

ama - March 9, 2005 04:42 PM (GMT)
I think she is more politically astute than people give her credit for, she as a character is always able to handle 99% of the press, and I reckon that takes some doing, she can spin any situation, and also has some fantastic lines. To quote her from the Stackhouse Filibuster

QUOTE

Cos tonight I've seen a man with no legs stay standing Dad, and a guy with no voice keep shouting and if politics brings out the worst in people then maybe people bring out the best.......

Locutus - March 10, 2005 09:36 AM (GMT)
Yeah but you do have to admit that, at least at the start of the show, they didn't use CJ wisely. They used her to explain the story line to us normal people… you know:

QUOTE
[Exterior: Outside Leo’s office where Toby, Leo, Sam, Bartlet, and CJ are standing discussing a really complicated political plan.]
Toby: I think we should use this really complicated political plan.
Leo: Yes I think we should.
Sam: You know we could make it more complicated if we changed this to this.
Toby: Yes I see.
Leo: Complications is good for the storyline.  What do you think about this overly complicated political plan, Mr. President?
Bartlet: Let me see that.  Hmm… Can’t we make it more complicated, Leo?
Leo: No, I don’t think so.
Bartlet: No, I think you’re wrong.  Look at it again.
Leo: I don’t see it.
Bartlet: For the love of Mike and everything holy, Leo.  Right there!
Leo: Yes I see it Mr. President.
Bartlet: Yes.  Good.  We’ll go with this.
[Bartlet, Leo, and Sam walk off leaving CJ and Toby.]
Toby: That was a great overly complicated political plan wasn’t it, CJ?
CJ: Hmm… Yes!?
Toby: You didn’t understand it, did you CJ?
CJ: No.  Can you explain it to me?
Toby: Okay it goes like this…
[Toby explains the overly complicated political plan to CJ who finally gets it.]
CJ: Ah now I understand.  The OCPP (Overly Complicated Political Plan) makes sense to me now.
Toby: Yes, and what’s more those people at home understand it now, too.
CJ: Home?  Okay I don’t get that one.
Toby: [Sighs and rolls his eyes] Okay it’s like this, CJ:  We’re on a TV show.  They didn’t understand a thing that just happened… so the writers used you to allow me to explain it to them.  Do you understand now?
CJ: This is a TV show!?
Toby: Yes. [Rolls eyes again] okay let me try this again… [Toby’s voice trails off]
[Fade to black.]

They did this to a lot of the women on the show. This is also done on a lot of other shows… This is the main reason for the conference room on Star Trek… So the laymen idiot that just happens to watch the show understands what the story line is and how they are gonna go about fixing it. (As most every story line of television has to do with a problem and the way it is fixed.)
