Best quote of the entire episode:

QUOTE

Hi, Senator. Why don't you take your legislative agenda and shove it up your ass.

Mandy is still out of favor after the memo that she wrote for Russell on how to beat Bartlet in the next election.

The senior staff look at changing the way drugs enforcement is funded, at the moment it is spent 2/3 enforcement & 1/3 treatment The White house would like to change that ratio, and spend a lot more on treating drug addiction, they argue that mandatory minimums are racist, the majority of crack cocaine users are black, Sam argues that Over 30% of the entire Federal prison population are non-violent first time offenders in jail for drug related crimes. The cost of housing for those prisoners alone is 2 million dollars a day.

The FEC nominations are named, carrying on from the last episode.

Josh and Joey:

He has a nice suit on for Joey, although he says it is just his regular ‘Tuesday suit’ weird!

The scene where Joey and Kenny come out and Joey signs and of course Kenny speaks ‘I’m not sleeping with Al Kiefer anymore’ cue some strange looks from staffers!

Haven’t done your homework………

Vicodin and percosat are schedule one drugs, Leo says they are schedule 2.

Doesn’t make sense

When Toby is shown in the bar in the shadow of a gunmen part one, Toby says he has never won an election in his life. Bartlet for America he and Andi are still together, so surely he helped with her campaign?

Sam’s a mafia hit man?
QUOTE

SAM I won’t take it easy! Give me the phone. [reaches for the phone] I'm gonna call the Senator and I'm gonna tell him that he can shove his legislative agenda up his ass!

Toby and Josh try to restrain the phone from Sam.

JOSH I've already done that.

SAM I'll do it again.

JOSH You know what this is like? This is like The Godfather. When Pacino tells James Caan that he's gonna kill the cop. It's a lot like that scene, only not really.

Keep watching for

When Andi and Toby are talking in the White House, one shot her pass is under the coat, the next one it is over and then under again.

Bartlet versus Kennedy

The speech that Bartlet gives at the beginning are very similar to the remarks given by John F Kennedy, the at the Dedication of the Aerospace Medical Health Center In San Antonio, Texas November 21, 1963, the day before he died.

“Frank O'Connor, the Irish writer, tells in one of his books how, as a boy, he and his friends would make their way across the countryside, and when they came to an orchard wall that seemed too high and too doubtful to try and too difficult to permit their voyage to continue, they took off their hats and tossed them over the wall--and then they had no choice but to follow them”

Margaret rocks!

Check out Margaret and the pencils; that woman only has to come on screen and I start to giggle!

Gotta make you laugh......
I love the scene when Bartlet is trying to get to sleep and everyone keeps coming into his bedroom telling him the various news of the day

BARTLETGuys, let me tell you what I would like to have happen, right now.

JOSH[enters] Good evening, Mr. President.

BARTLET Josh walking in the door wasn't even close.

JOSH How you doing, tonight?

BARTLET I'm fine, thanks. How you doing?

JOSH Good! I gave Joey Lucas a coffee mug. She doesn't know anybody here and she's already working hard. She's very committed. I think I did the right thing.

BARTLET See, the part I don't understand is, I got like, 24 armed guards right outside my bedroom door...
