Spoiler

Wow, just watched the last episode of season 6
Matt Santos as the Democratic nominee, and wait for it.....................................................

Leo running as his Vice President elect.

An awesome climax to a great season.
Roll on season 7

Maybe one of the Mods or admins could add some threads as soon as season showings allow for the introduction of new characters without the need for spoilers.

I watched this yesterday. I was NOT expecting the Santos-McGarry ticket. I loved Santos speech as well. Very good!

Yeah it was a very good ending, can't believe that Baker tried getting in there at the last moment, cheeky sod!

has leo ever held elected office?
i'm from england so may be mis-interpreting the system but i thought the VP had to be an elected politician and not a policy lobbyist/ staff leader.
from the flash back episodes i got the idea he was a rich democrat who backed bartlet and joined as chief of staff.
from reading biogs of clinton, kennedy etc i thought chief of staff usually went to an admin/ buisness type who could be trusted instead of a potential political adversary.

Vice-President Cheney didnt have an elected office when he was elected VP. He was a congressman years before though. You dont need to be in an elected office to run for president or Vice President. Another example is Al Sharpton who ran in 2004, he had never held an elected position but he still ran for office

Santos gave a great convention speech and also the impromptu speech on the TV during Freedonia was awesome and extremely unexpected. Does any body know what's going to happen to the regular cast next season?
