Title: Donna

Donna never fails to make me laugh, I love the writing divice they use, that when Josh explains things to het, it's really giving the viewer an idea what the episode is about!

DONNA What was in the envelope?
JOSHYour underwear.
Donna's face falls.
DONNA What?
JOSHI’m holding... your underwear... in my hand... right now. And the way I know it’s your underwear is that your name sewn in the back, which is obviously something we’ll spend some time talking about at a later date.
DONNA How did you get my underwear?
SAM Donna, did you by any chance where the same pair of pants two days in a row this week?
DONNA No.
JOSH Donna?
DONNA [reluctantly] Yes.
JOSHOkay, when you get dressed on day two did you check the pant leg for the previous day’s underwear?
DONNAI don’t need to check the pant leg for...
JOSHDonna.
DONNA [sighs] They fell out of my pants?
JOSHIt would appear that way.
DONNA Where?
JOSHThe South Street exhibit.
DONNA Where?
JOSHOn the floor in front of Karen Cahill.
DONNA Please tell me she’s not the one...

lmao thats a great bit! - one of my favourite donna bits is where she confesses to CJ:
I Did It... - "I'm a madwoman, CJ, and it doesn't stop with the leak... Call the authorities. Send them to my parents' house in Madison... They'll find the Lindbergh baby in the basement... Also some postics reminding me where I put Jimmy Hoffa... I framed Roger Rabbit."

that makes me howl! merry xmas!

Donna is hilarious - from the blacksmith joke to the two scenes described above - but I don't understand how her and Josh never get together. She'd make a much better love interest than Amy Gardner and I reckon many of the show's loyal fans would tune in to find out how their relationship was going, if that was the only topic featured in an episode.

suppose it's the suspense and to keep viewers interested, Fraiser lost a lot of laughs once Niles and Daphine got together! Who knows maybe one day eh?
xShockwavex - December 27, 2004 04:39 PM (GMT)
well we know she likes him, i mean even amy gardener knows! - and i have to say judging from season 4 he likes her too... its just that little push they need!.

Donna has been a great addition to the show. At first though she was a little dense... I'm glad the writters turned her around! Josh and Donna play well off of one another.

I think in the early seasons the writers used Donna as a tool to help the viewers, she'd ask Josh about a bill and Josh would explain it to her and we would therefore understand what was going on!

i too noticed this, i thought it was a very clever way to bring the people in line with the show and the events depicted. ;)

:: SPOILER WARNING ::
Maybe now that Donna is in the opposition camp, Josh will see just what he has lost.
This situation could provide him (and us) with the perfect opportunity to bring Donna back into his life.
Now that he is running the campaign for Santos, he could bring her onto his team and resume their working relationship, and maybe develop a more personal one.

I understand you view there. Donna will always be needed. I think Donna could run for POTUS! I think she'd be good at the job... even if she doesn't understand most of it!

Sorry I know I am new to the forum, but I think the Interest and any evidence thereof is implied, and as I have only just recently completed the fourth and only the fourth season in entirety it is conceiveable that it is explained later in date hwo they have never been together. That being the case my only sentiment, DAMN AND WOW!!!!!!!!!\
peace

sorry bout the incoherrent babble I posted last. It was late and i had just watched twenty two straight hours of TWW. i was drunk on good drama and mediocre beer. Can anyone tell me why I spelled damn and wow in giant letters for what seems to me to be no reason at all.
peace :o  ;) B)

The beer? I'd imagine. ;)
I tend to watch far too many episodes one after the other, so I know how you feel~!

Regarding Donna and Josh getting together.... I seem to remember that at some point Josh says that he can't go out with Donna because she's his assistant - or maybe I dreamt it? As for implications of 'interest' between them, I think we can take that as read, what with all the long, lingering looks! Besides, they already bicker like a married couple :D
PS Caps lock, maybe?

Spoiler (?) Warning (?) Possible
Is this still needed now for S6 stuff!?
Right. They couldn't get together because he was her boss. S6 shows this to no longer be true, but she's involved... [If my memory serves as it's been a while since S6 re-runs ran here.]
Vicki - September 13, 2005 07:39 PM (GMT)
Really? Hmm, interesting.... On the other hand, Donna has been 'involved' with people before (I take it that's what you mean?) and, well, let's just say she doesn't have the best of luck, does she?
