The first time Ansley comes to the White House is one of my favourite scene in seson 2, it's from 'in this white house'

AINSLEY Yes, sir. I've been thinking about that ever since your office called me on Tuesday, and I have something to say on my own behalf, if you'll permit me a moment to say it, and I understand if you won't, but I would really appreciate it if you did.
LEO I... didn't really follow that, but whatever.
AINSLEY I think that it is wrong for a man in your position to summon someone to the White House to reprimand them for voicing opposition. I think that that is wrong, and it is inappropriate. It's inappropriate, and I'll tell you what else.
LEO [nodding slightly] It's wrong?
AINSLEY Yes.
LEO That's fine, except you weren't summoned here to be reprimanded.
AINSLEY Well, then, if you'll permit me, why was I summoned?
LEO You have an interesting conversational style, do you know that?
AINSLEY It's a nervous condition.
LEO I used to have a nervous condition.
AINSLEY How did yours manifest itself?
LEO I drank a lot of scotch.
AINSLEY I get sick when I drink too much.
LEO I get drunk when I drink too much.

Yeah in a show one expects to see thoses follow ups, but this could be done for realism. I'm sure that people get lost in the real West Wing all the time... just up and don't see them anymore. That and every show has those that gets steamrolled all the time... I did like her though. Isn't she on one of the CSI shows now?

i think the miami version yeah, to be honest though i liked her conversational style... iombic pentameta I think (sorry if i spelt it wrong) sorkin had a way with not following up storylines though... people would as mentioned before just dissapear.

:: POOF :: HA HA! I like that they just disappear... Like I said earlier that happens a lot in real life.

i miss her as well the advice to not speak in iambic pentameter by Trillby is such a put down but one that could only be associated with her.
But actually after she has completed the assignment and she's on her way back and Sam wants to talk to her,. she just does the classiest thing. She's determined not to cry in the White House and she says she will come in the following day to get shouted out just so she can protect herself and then the moment with the flower (if you can call it that) is on her desk and Sam sees it, i always get goosebumps because there's this sudden change of heart within the White House towards her. It's just magic - meanwhile Josh is still in Sam's office waiting to finish their conversation while he goes off to fire the two guys -( Knight in Shining Armour action)
