Description: Want to pick one?

My favourite season 2 episode is 'Shibboleth', perhaps becasue it is really well written and quite mushy, [I always prefer episode of the WW that are moral tales or show the softer side of the character] and the scene with Barlett, Donna CJ and the spare thanksgiving turkey always makes me laugh!

C.J. I need you to pardon a turkey.
BARTLET I already pardoned a turkey.
C.J. I need you to pardon another one.
BARTLET Didn’t I do it right?
C.J. You did it great, but I need you to come out here and pardon another one.
BARTLET Aren’t I gonna get a reputation for being soft on turkeys?
C.J. Sir, could you come out here and just get this over with?
BARTLET No, I’m not just gonna get this--What the hell is going on?
C.J. [approaches] They sent me two turkeys. The most photo-friendly of the two gets a Presidential pardon and a full life at a children’s zoo. The runner-up gets eaten.
BARTLET If the Oscars were like that, I’d watch. |

yeah, that made me laugh! Was that the episode were they were saying they didn't want to spend thanksgiving with Bartlett because they didn't want a history on the Latin of the yamn??? Any ideas what a yamn is?

........tonight I've seen a man with no legs stay standing Dad, and a guy with no voice keep shouting and if politics brings out the worst in people then maybe people bring out the best 'cause I'm looking at the TV right now and damned if 28 US Senators haven't just walked onto the floor to help. I'll catch the first plane out in the morning and if you wouldn't mind not turning 70 until tomorrow that'd be great. In the meantime, I love you so much. Your daughter, Claudia

My favorite part of this episode would be when the Senator relented to the question and the look on his face when he realized that they were there to help. That was a priceless moment.

I've just been on holiday for a week and spent a lot of my time rewatching Season 2. On Sunday I finished with Two Cathedrals. The whole season is fab and I can't really choose one favourite episode but I must have watched the last sequence in Two Cathedrals from when Jed is talking to Mrs Landingham's ghost to the press conference with 'Brothers In Arms' over the top 10 times on Sunday night!!! I just get goosebumps thinking about it! I love going back to the beginning and starting again as you see so much more than you did first, second etc time around. I think this is my 3rd time of watching from Season 1 and it's still as magical.

yeah, I agree! Doing the episode things that I have been posting on here, it has been really great to re-watch them. It is lovely to see the optimism of the characters in the beginning, I think some of that is lost in the later seasons.

Really love your episode summaries - especially the trivia! I was v disappointed the other day as I was getting excited that I could put a piece of trivia on regarding an actress who appeared in the West Wing who later appeared in 24 but someone beat me to it! You have a lot of dedication as, I can imagine, being a teacher won't leave you a lot of time for yourself! So, thanks once again for your posts!

Hey that was me with the Reiko Aylesworth trivia. I'm a big fan of hers and I was very excited to see her in West Wing :)
