Yeah! [on Leo's look of disbelief] Or... do you think the White House Counsel would say
that was a bad idea.
LEO
I think the White House Counsel would say it was a coup d'etat!
MARGARET
Well. I'd probably end up doing some time for that.
LEO
I would think.
Margaret tries to beat a hasty retreat, as C.J. enters.
LEO
And what the hell were you doing practicing the President's signature?
MARGARET
It was just for fun.
LEO
We've got separation of powers, checks and balances, and Margaret vetoing things and
sending them back to the Hill.

I've thought long and hard about this and I always end up coming back to Jed Bartlett. My reasons are that he manages the struggle he faces between his beliefs and his actions as President with great soul searching and also humour - there is nothing more funnier in my opinion as when the President is goes off on a rant and woe betide anyone who get's in the way. I absolutely loved the scenes between Jed and Toby when Toby confronted him about hius relationship with his Father.
My most favourite Bartlett moment is the speech he made after the bomb had gone off at the swim meet "There are too many angels on the streets of heaven tonight" Makes me weep like a baby everytime I watch it - and believe me this has been a lot!

As a guy I've always paid more attention to the women of West Wing. When I first watched it I was in love with Donna. Then when Ainsley came I had a crush on her too (I have this thing about blondes, like so many other men). But these days I keep my eyes for Margaret. She's not as glamorous as the other two, but behind her rather rigid attitude and appearance I think she's very sexy.
I could imagine CJ is also up there among the male viewers, and also Amy (whenever she's not lambasting Josh for something). Joey Lucas is certainly very popular. Agent Gina Toscano is also a serious babe. But I can't get worked up over Abbey or Zoey or Mandy or Mallory.
