Description: Which one's the best???

I love Margaret, she makes me laugh. My favourite all time scene with her is
| QUOTE |
MARGARET He was supposed to sign a letter?
LEO The President is going under general anesthesia, he usually signs a letter handing over executive powers to the Vice President.
MARGARET And the President didn't sign the letter.
LEO Nope. We blew that play.
MARGARET Is there going to be trouble?
LEO We'll see. To be honest with you, I don't really care right now.
MARGARET Can I -- can I just say something for the future?
LEO Yeah.
MARGARET I can sign the President's name. I have his signature down pretty good.
LEO You can sign the President's name?
MARGARET Yeah.
LEO On a document removing him from power and handing it to someone else.
MARGARET Yeah! Or... do you think the White House Counsel would say that was a bad idea.
LEOI think the White House Counsel would say it was a coup d'etat!
MARGARET Well. I'd probably end up doing some time for that.
LEO I would think.... And what the hell were you doing practicing the President's signature?
MARGARET It was just for fun.
LEOWe've got separation of powers, checks and balances, and Margaret vetoing things and sending them back to the Hill.

I like Leo a lot, and the West Wing without Leo would be like the Beatles without Paul McCartney: not gonna happen. But as a guy, I think Margaret is a real cutie. Especially whenever she smiles (which is not very often), but even when she's not, she's still strikes me as very attractive. I wonder if she would go out on a date with me :)

::Spoiler Warning::
You haven't seen the new one yet have you!?

Hmm... nice to know... and no... I doubt she would.
I think the best thing about Margret is Leo yelling "MARGRET!" ...It's the best!

SPOILER TOO
Yes I know something is happening with Leo but he's still in the series. John Spencer is not going anywhere, except if there's dispute over salary or some such thing, and so far I haven't heard of things like that.

One never knows about that. Look at Sam... Oh well... I think maybe actors over time get tired of the show and need to do something different. Either that or they up and find a better job. Look at what happened with that new show Rob Lowe played on... I think that now he wishes he was still on the show after that one went they way of the dinosaures.
----
See how I did that there... I answered you well without the need for a spoiler warning.

I guess you're right. But if John Spencer leaves, I want someone even better to replace him, like Dennis Hopper. He was very good in 24. Or maybe Christopher Walken.

I'm gonna miss Sam when he's gone completely from my collection. Sam was so incredibly bright and you never know what he's gonna say - either something really bright, like recite section 2 of article 39 line 6 or some really hilarious comment.
'Iam dumb most of the time i'm playing smart.'
I agree about Leo, he is the backbone of the show, he holds it together but i love that story he told Josh on the episode in season 2 with Josh being diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder. about the man falling in the hole. it's brilliant.
I often wondered whether sorkin started with a story or a line and worked backwards to create a story or episode about it. It is just so brilliantly written.

One of the best interactions is when Margaret is making Leo sign his Christmas cards and he forgets who is sister is. Margaret is always there to right Leo's ship, make sure he eats his grapefruit (love the scene when she badgers him all the way to the SIT room and then asks someone to get him a grapefruit) or when Margaret is worried Leo is going to drink on the day he recieved his divorse papers. The Bartlett-not-as-good-without-Leo argument is a good one. One should also be made for the Loe-without-Margaret.

I think Leo is a great character, but I think the best thing about him is that he is believable as a West Wing Chief of Staff. They are so many great moments with Leo: the Christmas cards signing with Magaret is funny, his shouting of 'Margaret' should be his epiphet while his story about the man who falls in a hole is just brilliant. Although I like Margaret, I just had to vote for Leo. Sorry ama.

Leo is definitely one of the most defined characters :o)

He is one of my favourite characters, but would he have worked so well as a character if it was with a different president?
Locutus - September 13, 2005 11:10 AM (GMT)
Leo is great, but I don't think he would have recovered from the drugs allegations if he were under a different pres. The show isn't like in real life where the chances of making it through one term is slim but two even slimmer. If this was real life I think Leo would have disappeared into nothingness with the pres and CJ saying: "Leo!? Who's Leo?"
I mean Bush is on what press sec number 6!?
