Title: Wtf?

Will_Wilson - October 2, 2005 06:18 PM (GMT)
Okay, picture the scene. I'm sat down playing Star Wars Battlegrounds Saga on my PC, my rebel base has just been anihilated by the Empire and what little forces I have left I am calling to flee to the other side of the forest.

I scroll around to see what damage is left to be done by the Imperials, whilst I try to build up a task force quickly which would fend them off for a small amount of time. I see a few scout walkers destroying one of my farm buildings, and all of a sudden this music starts to play.

i had a problem like this Will, only this happened today.

I was destroying those imperial scum when the noise of someone talking to you on msn happened, finding this very odd as i turned msn off. Clicked the widows option and had a look, and it was still off. So i went back on the game. Destroyed there base. And then focased my attacks on a second imperial base. I was attacked from behind by the 3rd and 4th imperial team. Then i heard some music playing low, not the usual Star Wars music. Turned it up and Listern for about 30 seconds. I noticed the words stairway to heaven....turned it up abit more....and it was Rolf Harris version of stair way to heaven. And everytime i got attacked from then on (in that game) that music played.

Wall wall wall wall wall.

What do you reckon it is that makes it play a random song?

gazza - November 9, 2005 05:59 PM (GMT)
Maybe its a bug, or something they put it to confuse the play.

Will_Wilson - November 9, 2005 06:06 PM (GMT)
I think that it somehow changes the source of which it extracts the music files.

gazza - November 10, 2005 02:34 PM (GMT)
Did you download the music from the game disk to your hard drive?

Will_Wilson - November 10, 2005 03:58 PM (GMT)
I think it does that in the installation process.

gazza - November 10, 2005 09:42 PM (GMT)
No, it doesn't. It's stored on the disk. But you can download it from the disk. Like you do when downloading music album.

Will_Wilson - November 10, 2005 10:01 PM (GMT)
Oh, hmmm. Still doesn't explain how it got a song I didn't even know I had from a completely unrelated file.

gazza - November 10, 2005 10:05 PM (GMT)
If you don't download it to the pc, maybe it won't play correctly. So it might go around looking for other files. And you do know they play music when attack is building up and a massive battle is going on, don't you?
