Title: Webcomic contest!
Description: rewrite teentitans, bring back YJ, YJUTT
Flamebird - July 27, 2005 12:00 AM (GMT)
Ok, so heres the deal: Me and Matt got to talking about McKone and Rob Liefeld inability to draw teenage looking characters and Geoff Johns inbillity to write fun Teen Titans stories or anything exciting for that matter....so heres the deal: We're rewritting it. Thats right. We're rewriting it. You have three choice: Write a story about YJUTT, bring back Young Justice, or redo Teen Titans (Rooting for YJ. Bring back IMPULSE, dernit!). Unless someone else offers to, I'll pencil it, and then if we can some one else to color and ink it*all eyes turn to site micro hero artist:Matt, Marx, Jake, and Alan* we'll create a special web comic forum and have a new episode(Approximately one comic page/script page) a week. So we need those who can write on this site, those who love YJ as much as any other fellow YJUTTian(except for jim, the nOOb....):
to write a one comic page script or a plot line that can fit into no more than eight weekly one comic paged episodes.(I say this, cause it does no nessesarily mean you script HAS to be on page. It could be half a page to two pages, but it has to fit one page of a comic. Just making myself crystal)
-Has to be pg or at least pg13
-it has to be in full script or plot script format
-The profanity, if any, has to be appropriate(and most likely bleeped.)
-The characters have to be true to character. Please. No gay superboys.
-It has to be FUN! Preferably insane. If its another normie script, you can fergit about it!
-It cant be malicious towards any certain group, political or otherwise(Unless their normies!!! Then malice away!).
-Most importantly, have fun writting it!
For the first story/plot, you have one to two weeks to get you scripts and ideas in to Matt and Me. Once we near finishing the story, someone else will be given the chance to write/draw a story. So type away and get your ideas in! We'll be waiting obsessive compulsively at our computers!
Good luck!

Sounds like an awesome idea. :D I could help with the inking or the coloring(just learned how to do that some, if you've seen the Supersonic pictures). But I'm kinda busy with school at the moment so I probably wouldn't be the most reliable all the time. But I'd definitely be interested in being a backup inker or color person if it's needed.

I'm happy to help out somehow. I've been considering inking it, 'cause I know I can do that. I think Marx's color style (like in the Supersonic pics) is really fitting for a webcomic.
Also, I've got a script in the works, I'm just not sure about anything yet... unless you wanna do a one page romeo and juliet! (jk)

Sounds cool. I might consider writing something if I have time. And I'm a skilled drawer, inker and painter, so if help is needed and I have time let me know. If not, well then good luck.

I say we should all take turns with it. Like someone can work on something different every story arc. That way everyone on the site can get involved and people who are two busy to do one thing one month, someone else can do.
Plus, with the good story Ideas were getting(Matts thinking of writting an ultimate YJ, Jakes possible idea for perhaps a Romeo and Juliet yjutt script, ect) I'm might just put up a poll just giving a hint to the story ideas and then one that doesn't win this time, can be used once the other story is finished. Or multiple stories can run at once. Not quite sure yet.

Sweet, that sounds like a fair way to do it to me.

Ok. The two weeks are almost up. Only have for more days to get in your script! It doesn't have to be long! 1-8 comic book pages. Though if its more I think we could possibly make it two pages a week. (Meaning, if its a must, the story can be up to sixteen pages a week. Dpn't know i I can pencil that many in a two months time and get them over to someone to ink, color, and letter soon enough, but I sure can try! So hurry up guys! Can't wait to see your ideas. The deadline is tuesday
