Title: Battle Royale!
Description: Please read it all before you vote lol.

It could just be me but it seems like traffic to the site is just getting lower and lower. Almost nobody RPGs anymore(the only stories moving are the solos and there's only like 3 or 4 at most of those) and while this idea might not get new people here it'll keep me from getting too bored. :P Seems like most of the good people have already been in matches on the DC vs. Marvel contest so I'm thinking about shaking that up a bit. Just like YJ, DC vs. Marvel will be having it's last match at pt. 55. But where it shall die, all the matches will be reset and another shall rise!

The Battle Royale will be similar to DC vs. Marvel but there will be a loooot more options of people. But as for exactly how crazy I'm going to go with the idea, it's up to you. Here are the options.

A) All comic book companies.

-When I say all, I mean all. You want Superman(DC) vs. Mr. Majestic(Image)? Consider it done! Human Torch(Marvel) vs. Burnout(Image)? Just PM me. You want Cyborg(DC) vs. Optimus Prime(forgot the company, but it is a comic), I might even consider the comic version of Starfire vs. the Teen Titans Go version, but that's debateable as well as a total mismatch. Also this would involve Amalgam characters.

B ) All the above + Original Characters

-This would count for the OCs on the site as well as the ones that were on YJ 1.0. Wanna see how Esper would do against Saturn girl? You just put it in. Wanna see Gosai against Collosus? It's on! As long as they've been in at least one story, it's all good, including Elseworlds.

C) All the above + Alternate versions.

-What this options means is that if you want to have Hal Jordan as Spectre go against someone, it's a go. You want to have Hal Jordan as Parrallax go against someone , it's also a go, and if you want Hal Jordan as Green Lantern to go against someone then that's a third match(Yeah, I realize I did this in DC vs. Marvel, but it totally slipped my mind that I already used Hal Jordan as Spectre). This would also mean that Impulse and Kid Flash(either Wally and/or Bart) could be used in separate matches.

Another way this could be used is two characters in the same company but using an object from another universe...I know..."What the hell are you talkin about?" right? Okay, here's an example. Having Lobo(DC) wearing The Mask(Dark Horse) vs. The Joker(DC) wearing The Mask(Dark Horse) would be an acceptable match.

D) All the above + Tag Teams.

-How the tag teams would work would be that multiple people could be on one vote such as: Black Canary I and II vs. Banshee and Siren, or Harm and Wonder Girl vs. Spawn and Angela. This option would also include teams, such as: Young Justice(Original 6) vs. Gen 13(Original 5 + Bliss or Lynch), etc. As long as it was in the comics or the RPG. And yes, the RPG version of YJ, Outsiders or TT could be used as well as the comic versions that had different members, ie. TT(Robin I, Wonder Girl I, Aqualad, Speedy I, Kid Flash I) or TT(Robin III, Superboy, Wonder Girl II, Beast Boy, Starfire, Cyborg, Kid Flash II, Speedy II) or TT(Robin III, Wonder Girl II, Shinigami, Harm, Beast Boy, Superboy). Got me?

E) All the above + Video Games.

-You wanna add video game characters as options? Have Shinobi vs. Ryu(Street Fighter)? or Morrigan(Darkstalkers) vs. Vampirella? Then it shall be done!

F) All the above + Manga Characters.

-Manga is a kind of comic book isn't it? Why should they be excluded from the matches. Like video games there might not be readily made micros but we can work around that. Could be worth it to have Darkseid vs. Majin Buu or Batgirl vs. Kenshin or Haruko from FLCL vs....um...someone?

G) Other Combination.

-Some option I forgot? You like it all but you'd prefer if we didn't have anime or video games as options? You think I've flipped my lid and should just stick with DC vs. Marvel only? This would be your option, just please clearify what options you like and what options you don't.

And there you go! Those are the options for the greatly awaited Battle Royale. Of course I'll still take DC vs. Marvel matches that weren't done in the previous DC vs. Marvel. Also if you have a team of characters in a tag team match, you can still use the individuals in one on one matches, which is a nice little cheat to use the same character more than once, just try not to overuse it. The voting will end when the last vote is cast on pt. 55 of DC vs. Marvel, so get them in.

I went with video games. The alternatives, tagteams, etc. all get so confusing and long that it's physically painful and manga -while awesome- is more obscure. It would be harder 'cause not as many people would know who was who after you got out of the more popular mangas. (Although if it wins, put in my request for Spike (CB) vs. Punisher.)
Video games, however, are more well known -atleast here they are. I think you'd have a lot better luck finding people that know Ryu than Haroku.

Marx - July 30, 2005 06:11 PM (GMT)
lol That's true, video games are more well known than anime, not to mention it could get stupidly long depending on how long the story goes on(Kid Goku, Kid Goku SS1, Kid Goku SS2, Kid Goku SS3, Adult Goku, SS1 Goku, SS2 Goku, SS3 Goku, SS4 Goku, etc.). One of the problems of opening it up to soooo many options is that while everyone will definitely get they're dream match in there at some point (<.< Spike would so spank Punisher), there will be much more of a chance of my usual "I have no clue who the two of them are, but what the hell vote anyway!" response at the beginning and I'm a total anime junkie.

NutiketAiel - August 5, 2005 03:56 AM (GMT)
I know nothing of Manga, so such battles would mean nothing to me.

I voted for other combination: All Companies + Original Characters + Alternate Versions.

Jakazul - August 5, 2005 05:19 AM (GMT)
DOOMSBO... Oh, wrong place.

Marx - August 5, 2005 04:23 PM (GMT)
Bah, Doomsboy's cool enough to be used anywhere.

Onnnnnnnnne moooooooore thing!

Does that mean you don't like the idea for teams either, Jim?

Onnnnnnnnnne mooooooooore thing!

Come on people, there's only 5 votes! I know there's more of you out there! I bet [you] hasn't voted! :P

atlantis - August 5, 2005 04:54 PM (GMT)
....You just called me atlantis....
No-ones called me that in forever...

I so voted! I voted first so ha! De Haha!

Marx - August 5, 2005 05:49 PM (GMT)
*snickers*

Robin - August 6, 2005 03:46 AM (GMT)
nope haven't vote. I've been debating my vote. Plus I've been lazy

kidflash3 - August 6, 2005 07:23 AM (GMT)
Goku (dragonball) never went into super saiyan (Saiyajin in Japanese), the Kamehameha wave was the only Ki (energy) move that he knew at the time. He didn't even know that he was a Saiyan until Raditz comes at the beginning of the Saiyan Saga during DBZ.

Jakazul - August 6, 2005 08:00 AM (GMT)
Ee gad. I wonder which option he voted for!

(Doomsboooooooy. Even if it is the wrong topic.)

Marx - August 6, 2005 10:29 AM (GMT)
Actually in Dragonball GT, Goku's deaged to a kid again, but he can still go SS1,2,3 and eventually 4.

Flamebird - August 6, 2005 04:08 PM (GMT)
voted other. All comicbook companies+original characters+ movie and television heroes(Including Buffy, Angel, action heroes, heck even austin powers)

Jakazul - August 6, 2005 04:48 PM (GMT)
Austin Powers? Oh gosh, please don't give me a "The Bat who Shagged Gotham"....

Flamebird - August 6, 2005 05:01 PM (GMT)
lol. Hey, I was just naming things off the top of my head. I'm not suggesting we use him for one, jusgt usding em' as an example.....
Personally, I'd like to see Angel/spike vs. Nightwing
or willow vs Scarlet witch.

Or hey, how would James bond hold up against on of the dcus vigilantes?

Jakazul - August 6, 2005 05:32 PM (GMT)
James Bond vs. Lex Luthor.

Marx - August 6, 2005 07:22 PM (GMT)
lol They've probably had comics at some point so they'd probably still be options. I know Buffy had a comic at least, don't know if Spike or Angel guest starred or had they're own or not. I mean, hell, Xena, not to mention some wrestlers have had they're own comics.

Jakazul - August 7, 2005 05:47 AM (GMT)
...Wrestlers vs. Bane would be funny. Two hits. Bane hits wrestler, wrestler hits ground.

Marx - September 5, 2005 02:38 PM (GMT)
And there you have it, seems like all the options are a go! Working on the first match as I type.
