Title: Application Sheet

Jakazul - July 31, 2005 03:47 AM (GMT)
Updated Character Application Sheet

The application must be filled out and posted in the Apply Here section.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask Jakazul, Flamebird or Entropy Aegis.
You no longer have to send in the applications, simply post them in the Apply Here topic!!!

Rules:
1. A person may have up to two canon characters and one original character.

2. Characters can be from any DCU comic or team, whether they be past or present. Remember this is for the comic Teen Titans. NOT the cartoons. There's a big difference.

3. We no longer have a sample post. We should be able to tell by your aptitude and acuracy in filling out the sheet how well you know your character and how well you write. If not we may ask you for further information. If so, that does not mean that you are dissaproved, simply that we need more information.

4. Villains will primarily be played as NPC. This is because different stories will reguire different villains. But if you wish to play a villain as a good guy (for example Harm) send in an application, and a decision will be made then.

5. Resurrecting a dead character (i.e. Barry Allen, Donna Troy, etc... ) for the purpose of applying for that specific character may be considered, but don't count on it. You will have to have a very good backstory.

6. Original Character Guidelines:
--If applying for an original character, have a solid idea of who your character is, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and must post for that character consistently based on the application we receive. Think hard about what you created.
--Original Character must be that: ORIGINAL. Meaning they cannot be clones, long-lost relatives or carbon copies of existing DC Canon characters. They must also have their own history, powers and personality. So no, they can't be Batman's long lost half-brother twice removed, who just so happens to have a past completely similar to Batman. Changing the history, powers, or personal life of an existing character is not creating an orginal character. They must be COMPLETELY ORIGINAL.
--For original characters keep power levels in check. Each prospective universe has heroes set up as the best in a certain field (I.E. Flash is Fastest Man Alive), OC's cannot surpass the levels of any of the canon characters, because OC's cannot be justifed to be stronger in comparision to the existing character. If you're character is too powerful, they will be rejected.
--OC's fall under more scrutiny in RPGs because often characters are too much like canon characters or too powerful; we may ask you to change certain aspects of your charater. Take no offense to your creativity, we are only trying to avoid future conflict within the board.
