Okay, I'll start this off with how ticked off I'm getting at them referencing characters I like in comics I wouldn't normally read... And no, I'm not seriously ticked off but it's just like, I normally don't get Robin, but I got the last two issues because they had Superboy and the Titans in them and now since Cass doesn't have a comic anymore and Batgirl was obviously on the cover of this one I have to get another Robin as well as the rest of the Robins for this storyline. *shakes fist* Damn you DC!

Okay so here's my review. The first Robin comic I read was the World Without Young Justice one, which pretty much turned me off from Robin because until the world changed, the comic bored the hell out of me. But the ones I got because Batgirl or the Titans were involved were actually pretty good. And this one would fit in with those

Summary: Okay, so it's One Year Later, Robin's royally getting his ass kicked by someone but he can't see who it is because of these bright lights. He throws his R's(notice the plural of R? Apparently he has more than just the one on his chest, he might not even have batarangs anymore) and he can tell they connect, and after they do the light fades and what does he see? A dead Batgirl, but that Batgirl isn't Cassandra Cain, it's Lynx(whoever the hell that is, she has an eyepatch though, ooo hardcore). And of course the police see him and he's officially framed for murder even though from inspecting the body Robin saw that the body'd been dead for 3 hours so he couldn't have killed her.

But since the cops won't listen he's forced to run. Oh and after making a deal, Nyssa was supposedly "blown up" on her way to her car, don't know if that'll become important later on or what. Robin meets up with Batman to have one of the most awesome lines ever.

Robin: I didn't kill the girl in the Batgirl suit. And it was Lynx, not Cassie.
Batman: I figured it wasn't the real Batgirl. You couldn't have beaten Cassie.
Robin: .... Ouch.

Oh man, I laughed so friggin hard after reading that. Hell I'm laughing now. But anyway onto the story. Batman offered to help, but Robin wanted to do it himself since apparently the past year Batman, Robin and Nightwing have been learning to trust each other and whatnot. Meanwhile there's someone stalking Tim, it's hard to tell but I'm pretty sure it's Cass...but until they called her Nyssa, I thought that was Cass, I guess it could equally be Shiva. Anyway, the cops are told specifically if they find Robin just call it in, don't approach. And Robin realizes that his R's actually went through the Batgirl costume and since Batgirl's actual costume is kevlar coated that wouldn't have happened so he needs to sneak into police HQ to examine the costume. that's it more or less.

Review: Okay, as I said before, I actually liked the issue. Much better than Outsiders, but then again I was a little biased against Outsiders when I saw that Shift wasn't there. So far this is one OYL that I approve of. Another change would be the costume as you can see from the cover. I suppose I'll grow used to it, I'm kinda used to seeing the costume as red, yellow and green, seeing it as red, black and yellow is just a little awkward, same with the new cape. But it still looks cool and after I get used to it I'll probably like it as much as the old one, after all the new cape would make him look a little more birdlike.

Oh and I have three theories on what's going on with Cass. (1) The last issue of Batgirl was misleading as hell and Cass never stopped being Batgirl. (2) Cass quit being Batgirl but didn't tell anyone and had Lynx be Batgirl so no one would notice. (3) One of the retcons was that Cass never stopped being Batgirl or was possibly convinced into doing it again.

Naturally I'm leaning more towards option 2 because 1 and 3 would kinda annoy me(especially 3 since that would make the last issue of Batgirl pointless), but only time will tell.

To be fair the dead Batgirl had an eyepatch therefor she must have been evil. Did she have a posh English accent, that would have made her really evil.

lol! I don't know about the english accent, but Robin did say that she was a bigtime Gotham gang boss. So that'd be totally living up to the eyepatch.

now thats a way to live up to the billing of having an eyepatch. i like the new costume it makes more sense in the sneaking in and out of shadows aspect (i think)
