*mouth shapes like that* Oooooo! lol! How long was this here? I just noticed it now, and totally awesome Jake. I am indeed wowed by your awesome vector style.

Okay, I just have to say that this is a complete joke. I am a HUGE fan of Marx's work and actually quite like the style too, I just needed something to do for mine. ;) Enjoy.

*dresses like Chef* That's it! I'm not making anymore webcomics now...because you made fun of my religion!...er..I mean style!

LMAO! Seriously though, dude that's awesome. I actually did laugh out loud when I read it. But you forgot to put "REC." in the upper right. Geeze Jake, geeze! :P

Okay, I gotta ask, it looks like you and Marx are using the same system for making your web comics, and now I wanna try makin' my own (likely crappy) webcomic.

I'm taking an Interactive media class, so i'm fairly proficient with Adobe InDesign, Illustrater, and Photoshop, and I have some base in HTML(my mortal enemy)and Dreamweaver. We haven't yet moved on to Flash.

Now as for my question: What are you two using to make your comics?

Marx - May 3, 2006 12:21 PM (GMT)
lol That one's cool too. And I'm not sure about Jake, but actually I use Flash to do mine. Though the way I use it, it's pretty simple. I could probably have used Illustrator and done something very similar.

Cool. Know anyplace I could download either Illustrater or Flash for free?

Marx - May 3, 2006 12:38 PM (GMT)
Ah the glory that is Limewire
...
...
I mean...how could you ask such a thing? That would be immoral and illegal...shame shame!

I use a vector program called Harvard Design Studio. Might be hard to find. I know I payed like fifteen for it, but Amazon's saying it's fifty. Dunno. I wouldn't necessarily suggest it anyway, that's just what I use. Illustrator or even like Corel DRAW are pro'lly better. Flash obviously rocks.
I'm waiting to buy Photoshop and Flash 'cause I found a way to get student discount and they're like literally 90% off the original price.

Legally speaking, the only free Vector program I've heard of that even compares to Illustrator is OpenOffice's Draw, but of course you can illegally download anything or find better prices or whatever.

Never really liked Dreamweaver though. If and when I get flash I may make my comic animated, but I'm not sure yet.

Hisssss! *backs away from the HTML coding* Eeeeevil! More evil then Marx!...although by a very slim margin...
