(Just so everyone knows, here's the sitch: In the span of OYL, the Titans went through some interesting roster changes before the current group settled together. So here's a place to write about these little-knowns and unknowns, create stories about past Titans adventures during OYL, introduce characters that you might like to play as in a future story. It basically allows you to create origin mini-adventures, guest-starring potential future characters. This beginning part which sets this all up, is set soon after White Sun.)
"You haven't even heard a word I've said, have you?" Omen remarked bemusedly.
Bryan glanced up from the volumnous piles of notes and papers which cluttered the desk in sickbay. He stared blankly at Omen briefly before replying. "I've heard every word you've said, Lilith."
"Uh-huh." Omen crossed her arms. "You just weren't paying attention to it."
Bryan sighed, and pushed his glasses up his nose. "Honestly? Probably not. We weren't even gone more than a few days, and I think the pile has grown by at least two inches." He snorted, pointing a thumb at the offending piles of paperwork.
"What IS all that?" Lilith wondered.
"Printouts, mainly. That pile is Lucas' raw data on everything we've just been through... " he paused as he began to itemize each pile. "Over there, that's a supply list for all the spare parts and medical supplies we seem to run through. Glad I'm not footing the bill." he commented at the teetering pile in question. "That stack next to the supplies, are more printouts from the JLA black boxes that Robin managed to pull from the Batcave several months ago. Meeting minutes, highlights of some past JLA cases. That sort of thing."
"And what's that last one?" Lilith asked of the pile closest to Bryan.
"Member archives for the Titans, actually. It's a log of one-hit-wonder and reservist members. In case of emergency, I've got Lucas running through the records to help me decide who to call when everyone else is already busy. After what happened in the Crisis, it was pretty much an unspoken rule from Robin that we should never be spread that thin AGAIN. Which is probably why we had such an unusual rotation of Titans groups in the span of a single year. In either case, I tend to agree with the idea, so I'm devising a special alert program that will automatically contact former and reservist members based on skill, usefulness, and greatest level of need." Bryan explained.
"Hmm... sounds like a good idea. What do you know about them?" Lilith asked.
Bryan reached out and pulled open a file. "Well, here's an interesting one..."
And with that, Bryan began to read the file aloud, almost as if telling a story......
(Who's got an idea for a minor character to introduce in a 52 adventure? Any takers?)
