Title: Study Abroad
Description: C'est la vie

SilverShattering - August 16, 2006 05:30 AM (GMT)

Soooo...... It looks like everything might actually work out for me to study abroad this semester. Which means in less than 2 weeks I will be boarding a plane to France. My flight is scheduled for August 28th. I'm supposed to have plenty of internet access overseas, so hopefully there will be no change to my participation in this forum. ^_^ Just wanted to warn everyone in case something wierd happened. If the 28th comes and goes and you don't hear from me for a week or two afterward, you can send a search party. I might need it. But in such a circumstance, don't be surprised if you find me curled up in a corner babbling in french.

Well, I finally decided to read this, since I was already informed of your plans to go to france...

And don't worry, if we don't here from you for too long, we've got plenty of ways of locating people. Upon joiningt he site you had three tracking devices planted in your body.

Unfortunately, for...confidentiality reasons...including me not getting hurt, and you not removing the trackers, I cannot inform y ou where.

SilverShattering - August 23, 2006 05:52 PM (GMT)
Tracking devices....yeah, I found one of them. Apparently it needs new batteries because it started beeping at me at ungodly hours of the morning. x_X I'm days away from experiencing jet lag! Could I please get some sleep?!

So you're down to two tracking devices. Though I probably have another half dozen or so from other sources. Tab...Jake....the Polka Mafia of Unwilling Converts. Yeah, I think I'm findable.

......................................................... I'm going to be alone in a foreign country in 5 days. Going to be there for 4 months................................... Someone help me.

Awwww, totally forgot that I haven't replied here. Total congrats on studying abroad. As of yet, at least for two weeks, I've yet to be one a plane nonetheless out of the country. So it's two days now, hope you have a good time while you're there. If not don't worry, pretty sure one of those tracking devices has a teleporter...though it's kinda...experimental...you signed the release form right?

kidflash3 - August 26, 2006 02:18 AM (GMT)
NO MY RANDOM SIDEKICK IS LEAVING!!!! Wait, to france...OKAY THEN!!!! HAVE A GOOD TIME!!!!! (does a victory pose as he says this)

Seriously though, have a good time, eat a lot of baguetes and don't order anything meat raw (its litteraly off of the freezer +_+ ).

Shinobi - August 26, 2006 10:57 PM (GMT)
When did we start making people sign release forms? I thought we just utilized the fresh meat for our experiments...

In any case: Enjoy yourself Katie. I wasn't able to get my nuclear bomb working so France is still standing. I'll just have to amuse myself by poking random members with a pointy stick.

*pokes Marx, Lani, Kidflash, Jake, Matt, and several other active and inactive members*

I so understand the Jet-lag, it'll pass girl don't worry.

Marx - August 30, 2006 10:41 PM (GMT)
*sweeps in like a ninja and takes Shinobi's poking stick but doesn't do anything besides balance it out of boredom while sipping a blue rasberry slurpie and watching the KF chase*

lol I'll have to be dealing with jetlag in a couple months so I feel your pain...or will in the future... Hope you'll get some reliable internet soon.

Shinobi - August 31, 2006 03:00 PM (GMT)

soooo, now im in grenoble and i have found a dorm with a computer lab. that is cool but they all have french keyboards so some of the letter order is switched around. the q key is where the a is supposed to be and the m key is where the semicolon is supposed to be. i havent figured out where they are hiding the commas yet. x.X

kidflash3 - September 3, 2006 12:35 AM (GMT)
(jumps over Shinobi and lands in a cool pose)

You shall find them Katie.... in due time :D

SilverShattering - September 7, 2006 10:23 AM (GMT)

Wooo! lol Welcome back. :D Hope you had a good time.

SilverShattering - January 17, 2007 07:50 PM (GMT)
Hehe, thanks. Yeah, I had a good time overall. It's nice to be home though.

atlantis - January 20, 2007 09:40 AM (GMT)
Its always nice to come home after being away for a while, but don't you feel like after your home a little while its like you never left? Oh, and welcome home!!

SilverShattering - January 21, 2007 04:41 AM (GMT)
Yeah, my best friend picked me up from the airport and halfway home she said, "It feels like it was just a week ago that I dropped you off. Like time hasn't gone by at all." And I felt the same. France is like a dream I'm not sure actually happened. :: grin :: Except that I have photos and random posts.

Marx - January 21, 2007 02:27 PM (GMT)
Totally know what you mean, was the same with Florida and the other trips. Warps my already warped sense of reality.
