Title: The Show--,er,Fight Must Go On!
Description: The YJ/TT musical

Just an idea I've been toying aroud with. The fact that I've found a new obsession in Broadway(Mainly in Rent , Wicked, and Little Shop of Horrors) and the fact that I came across the old YJUTT musical we did while I was reading through the archives--it seems like it could be a fun plot-either as a joint story( which would probably be the easiest way to do it) or as a side story.

I was thinking of something along the lines of how it was done in buffy. A new villian of some sorts decides to turn the entire world(or at least the area of and around either the titan or yj hqs) into a huge broadway show catastrophe so that plans for a much larger scheme go unnoticed by our heroes.

I was going to post this in the joint story section, but decided to post the idea for it here first and see how many would be onboard with the idea.

Well, what do you think?

It seems like a pretty cool idea. As you said it'd probably work best in the Joint Stories section. Though I'm wondering since it's a musical are we like, writing our own songs? Probably couldn't think up any good ones, maybe some random nursery rhyme from hell ones for Supersonic, but probably none for my other characters. lol Though it'd be funny if Harm was immune or something of the like since he sings songs in the music store he works at anyway, assuming this is pre-OYL.

Nah. Not unless you WANT to write your own songs. It's not a skill of mine, though. We'd probably just do what we did on the yjuttt one on the other site and just use what ever songs we know that we like and that best suit a situation.

It could be pre-OYL. I wasn't usre if this should be pre, post, or mid oyl; so that sounds good.

Ah that totally works for me. I pretty much do that with Harm anyway lol.

Ooh! I could DO that! Write songs, I mean. What is a writer, a poet, but a lyricist anyway?

It's funny you should mention that, because I LOVE musicals. RENT, Wicked... and yes, I even have the music from the Buffy musical on here somewhere.

I think, it shouldn't be TOO hard to do... the only qualm I have, is time. We're seriously blah for White Sun, and I have at least three other projects waiting for THIS thing to finish. Are we ever going to get some life among some of the other posters?

ooooooh. I LOVE Wicked! I'm planning on going as Elphaba for halloween(not in full-blown wicked-witch garb though-- I'm thing of act one Elfie') ^_^ Great to hear theres another musical fan out there. Theres not a lot of Rentheads where I live in the Bible belt of Texas o.O

Also, I can't seem to respond in the other topic thread in this section, so I'll just respond to it here. If you guys want to, it COULD fit with the reg. main stories. Though if we do, should we still make it pre-oyl or post? I have a few song choices and story ideas for Falcon if its the later.

You mean it won't let you post in it? Weird. Will it let you vote?

Anyway, if we decide to do it in the main storyline section I'd probably say that it should be post-OYL that way the new characters like Erin(if Lani decides to post ;)) could still be in it.

It kept going to a disabled menu for some reason. No worries, tho'. It's workiong now :)

When we decide between Joint story or Major story line(or possibly a combo of both?) Lemme know, and I'll put the story up.

Gee. Can't *imagine* why. Y'know why they're called the Bible Belt? Because they like to beat the *bleep* out of you with mangled quotes from the Good Book.

Hmmm. Should we go ahead and start this in joint stories or wait for awhile? Who all is in?

Marx - January 31, 2007 12:25 AM (GMT)
I'm still in.

Fledgling - February 6, 2007 06:24 AM (GMT)
ok, I've been putting off starting this nearly all week. I'm going to try and start this either tonight or tomarrow morning.

Just one question, do you guys still was this to happen prior to one year later? Or should we make this post oyl? I have two different ideas of what I want to do with my character depending on the situation and can't choose. So you opinion is welcomed.

Hm, I guess considering we've mostly done post-OYL stories lately, it's be awkward going back, not to mention people like Painter(if she's joining) wouldn't be able to. So my vote's for post.

Ok.So I came up with a good premise.
The singing is being caused by an ancient entity who uses peoples life scources to keep her young.

So as the 'show' goes on, our characters start to pour out their heart and secrets/fears till either theres nothing left or they defeat the villianess causing this.

Yeah...kinda like in buffy. We seem to be 'barrowing' alot of buffy storylines lately.....maybe we need to have a crossover sometime :D

Marx - February 8, 2007 08:31 PM (GMT)
lol You know it's funny you mention that. Considering Will works part time at Wendy the Werewolf stalker as well as me thinking of doing a Buffy crossover in Tale of Two Wondys. Sounds good to me though.

oh cool. ^_^

Hmmm.....I think we're going to have to get more people involved in this story. *Holds flamethrower to randomn noobs head.* Post! Post now I say!
