History: Erin and her other family members were raised by her grandmother, Nona, who was definitely more like Granny Goodness than...the...nice equivalent to a granny. They were trained diligently in the family business of the Gotham Mafia(though most were unaware), which not only involved basic schooling but also extensive martial arts, which if not performed correctly would end up with many different punishments, mainly a form of solitary. This was mostly by Nona since their fathers were preoccupied with the business.

When Erin was 13, a takeover ended up killing most of her remaining relatives. Not wanting to be alone with her grandmother, Erin ended up working at a bar where she first met Renee Montoya due to the many bar fights she'd been involved in. Realizing she couldn't avoid her family forever she made her way back to her grandmonther. But unlike before where her other family members took the heat off of her, she was now the sole focus causing her many trips to the 'wind chime room'. But as she got closer to her father, she began to learn more of the family business which, as she found out, was quite illegal.

And now her training began to reach new levels as she was experimented on, eventually giving Erin her abilities, which were consistently pushed to their limits, and sometimes beyond, by her grandmother. Out of spite, Erin began to give Renee insider information on the jobs causing her grandmother no end of trouble as well as building a steady friendship with Renee. When Erin's training was finished she was given her first job, which she also informed Renee of as they made a plan for her to get arrested...which went horribly wrong when it turned out that the ones who arrested her were also on her father's payroll. It took awhile but by the time Renee found Erin, most of the Gotham Mafia were 'mysteriously' dead, including Nona.

Due to personal reasons, Renee wanted to get out of Gotham and having nowhere else to go Erin followed. Unknown to Renee, Erin did what she'd been trained to do practically her whole life, as a freelance assassin which ended up leading her to cross paths with William Hayes aka Harm on a job.
