Title: Aqua Teen Hunger Force...Terrorist?
Description: Advertisting snafu

Fledgling - February 2, 2007 05:36 PM (GMT)
The sad thing is, these lite brite images with battery packs attached to them w/ an image of a Mooninite flipping a bird had been put up in ten major cites and had been up for TWO WEEKS before someone reported a bomb scare last afternoon which led to most of Boston being shutdown as ATF and a Bomb Squad Investigated. Now two heads of the marketing team for Adult SwiM are facing charges for 'Terroristic Intentions'. Now thats just pathetic......I don't normally get political, but this is ridiculous enough to catch my attention.

And the guys at PVP Online, after lampooning ATHF this morning through out the city of Dallas, are likely to face prison charges after an attempt to advertise their new pvp animated series.

Well, if their intent was to raise awareness of the new ATHF movie, then they definitely suceeded. In which case, it was a brilliant gurilla maketing campaign.
Discuss!

See, this is hilarious and really sad at the same time. On one side it's funny that magnetic lite brights of a Moonanite flipping off his middle finger is a big news terrorist scare. And I think this whole situation could have been completely solved if everybody watched cartoons. It's so simple! I also found it hilarious that when the guys were being questioned they wouldn't answer any that weren't about his dreads, priceless!

Now the sad part is that you know the actual terrorists are probably laughing their butts off at us. Considering they have us scared of lite brights, that's just...really bad.

PS: If they were cheaper, I'd so buy one of those things off of ebay and put them on my wall.

Hehheheheheheheheh. My god. Don't put THESE guys in prison. Give them their own darn show!! :D Longer version HERE

I think the media has just been been desperate for news of a terrorist attck to get people all up in a frenzy lately and so they took the first story to come along and ran with it.

Meanwhile, lite brites couldn't be flying off the shelves faster.
I'm contemplating just going out and buying a lite brite, or putting a bulletin up on my myspace and deviant art page for everyone to go and buy a lite brite and decorate it with a similar image to put in the car or home windows in a silent protest. People of THIS generation who live in Boston must be embarresed of their own town right now.

At the same time, it is very sad. Now we know that if terrorist ever place flashy lite brit bombs with cartoon characters on them in all major cities with a detonation time of two to four weeks, Boston will know exactly what to do!

And now I'm definitely going to start watching ATHF more often.

edit: Just found this response to the media and it made me laugh. I warn you though. Look forward to constant use of explitives.
