Title: Ultimate Power
Marx - February 21, 2007 06:27 PM (GMT)
Hey guys, I was just bored and thinking of what would be the ultimate superpower to have. After some intense thought, I came up with these.
Telekinesis- ability to move things with your mind.
Telepathy- ability to read minds/control other peoples' minds.
Shape-Shifting- ability to...change shape...(Green Lanternesque powers count as well)
Technopath- ability to control technology
Other- any that I don't have.
The way I see it, if you have enough control over any of these powers, you'd be the ultimate shiznizilznit! Telekinesis, you can do just about anything, fly, protective force fields, etc. Telepathy, you can basically have anyone do whatever you want. Shapeshifting...basically the same deal as telekinesis if you have enough of an imagination. And of course if you can control technology, you can control a good bit of the world if you know what you're doing. I was tempted to put super intelligence as a power, but if figured if you were smart enough, telepathy would cover that.
Voooooote! :D

I put myself down for telepathy because if you have that power, you can basically push anyone out of your way and have them do your will. You'd be unstoppable and could do whatever you please.
Some guy comes always with telekinesis, what's he gonna do? Throw shapes at you? Just do some nice, old fashioned telepathy and you've got the guy stuck in his tracks. No more shape-changingness for him. That applies for the shape-changers, aswell.
Technopaths... if they got all of technology under their control, and you were an amish telepathic dude... then you've got the technopath stuck right there. Haha.

lol In a match between telepathy and telekinesis, it's just a matter of speed though. If the telepath gets into the telekinetic's mind it's over and if the telekinetic is smart enough to blow up the telepath's head(or if they want to be more surgical with it, just literally mess up their brain) it'd be over equally fast. As for the technopath thing...hm...being amish wouldn't help if the technology was brought with the technopath lol. Ya know...the more I think about it...there should so be a comic about an amish telepath...
Also I'm tempted to add super speed to the poll, after all if you can move as fast as if not faster than a normal person's thoughts, there's serious potential for an ultimate power, though I'm thinking at some point of speed it had might as well be teleportation.

I chose Tech control, because I remember this hero named Tech-9 from the comic Blood Syndacate (He was the leader) and he had the3 power top create any gun he wanted and I thougt that would be cool but I was also thinking like Static and tought Electrokinesis is cool as well (If I had a power I would have both but that's just me :D )

Haha, yeah, but what kind of technopath is going to haul around massive bits of techology? That would make him a psychopath.
I do agree with the super speed thing. That would make time virtually frozen, if you chose to, and you could do whatever you pleased. That would be the power that I would take.

Ah but who says they have to carry it? I'm sure there's plenty of technology that could move on it's own that could be useful. Nuclear missiles, satellites, jets, the list goes on. lol Hm, and creating any gun you wanted could actually be either technopath..ness or shapeshifting now that I think about it. And yeah, electrokinesis is a pretty fun power. One of the reasons I gave it to Super. :D

Knowledge and wisdom is the ultimate power, in my opinion. Knowing what you're doing, and having the wisdom to decide WHAT to do, can sometimes make all the difference between success and failure.

I do agree that knowledge is an ultimate power, just figured I'd merge it with telepathy since if you were really intelligent with it, you would have ultimate knowlege. I do find it cool that it's a 5 way tie though.
