Name: Owen "Boomer" Mercer

Appearance: Owen is a caucasian male with reddish-brown hair. He wears a black shirt and has a blue jacket with accesable boomerangs on it as well as blue pants with silver protectors for each leg He also has a scarf decorated with boomerangs on it.

Arsenal: Captain Boomerang uses a wide variety of gimmicked boomerangs as well as normal ones. He also has limited superspeed which are called "speed bursts". Owen is also a decent fighter.

Weaknesses: Captain Boomerang is human so he can be hurt,injured, fall ill, or killed. His longing for a family is also a problem but it may have been cured.

History:When Digger Harkness found out that he wa washed up as a villain, he began to soul serch and during this time, he met his son Owen Mercer. The two became very close and Harkness even taught Mercer a few tricks before he died. After Harkness' death, Owen was taken in by Captain Cold who believed that his sister was Owen's biological mother.

Owen never felt good around the rouges and even said a few words in retaliation, yet loved te sence of family and belonging that they brought. When Harkness was brought back to life (for a short time) he told Ashley Zolomon was told to tell Owen that Golden Glider was not his real mother.

During a mission with Captain Cold and Mirror Master at a machine factory, the three men ran into the Outsiders (III) and fought them. During the fight an explosion erupted and Mercer was left by the two other men only to be saved by the Outsiders, who allow him to join.

Recently, Mercer found the third Robin (Tim Drake) and after a valliant team up, tried to apologize for his father's role in the murder of his father. Robin did not accept the handshake but sees Mercer as a person worth his respect. Owen also has a "Brother-sister" relationship with the Current Supergirl (Kara Zor-El), calling her "My girl" and even gaining the nickname "Boomer" from her.
