Virgil Hawkins was in a local burger shop with his friends Rick Stone and Frieda Goren "So, did anyone see Static take out Hotstreak like he was old chinese food?" Rick said to the group, Virgil looked down a bit "Umm...umm..." "He was studying with me in the library" Frieda said "Oh, too bad then." Rick said depressingly all of a sudden, a blast was heard and virgil and Frieda looked at rick "We gotta go to the library again and continue on our project." they said together and they walked out with Rick's face in a angry expression.

After they got outside Virgil ran for the nearest ally and changed into his Static costume, after he put on his trenchcoat Frieda said "I'll see you later, be careful!" and ran off Virgil smiled and brought out his disc and flew into the sky looking for what caused the crash.

Static flew towards teh crash and saw that it was his old nemesis Hotstreak, a kid with firepowers that used to bully Satic in school "Hey there Hotstreak. Mind if I come ruin your fun?" Hotstreak turned suprised and said "You'll pay Static!!" he then began to hurl fireballs at him and static easily dodged them "I know you too well Francis!" he then laughed as Hotstreak said "Don't call me that!!!" and Static ended it by clinging him and putting the villain in a fountain which easily doused him out. The police soon came and thanked Static who then flew off, all of a sudden he heard a voice beind him say "Static, over here!" Static was suprised and looked behind him.

Static looked and saw a familer face and he yelled in suprise "Rocket, is that you!!!????" the girl that was Icon's sidekick smiled at him and said "Long time no see Static." shew then hugged him and after she let go said "Follow me, I can explain along theway." after they both were in te air she looked sideways at him and said "Icon needs your help, I think that someting is trying to take his powers and we may need some extra force to defeat it." Static looked at her and smiled saying "Do I need as reason not to say no?"

Rocket smiled at him saying "Thank you Static." They landed a few minutes later and Rocket led them to a garage where Icon was sitting pacing around before he saw Rocket with Static "Rocket you're back, and you brought Static with you!" the black Superman shook Statics hand and said "Thank you for coming my friend." Static smiled at Icon and said "It was no problem." After the plensentries were done, icon started explaining more about the perdicerment "It appears that some alien from my planet is trying to kill me and maye even take over the earth, weneed someone with enourmous amounts of raw power to help us defeat him. "That's it?" Static asked "That's all." Icon replied.

Static smiled adn said "Let's do this then!" he got on his disdc and hovereed above the others for a minute before the two shot up past him ans rocket said "You were saying Static?" Static grinned and flew with them towards a field near the southern states where Icon explained "The place where my pod crashed is only two miles nearby, I think it is all farmland here " Static thought to himself "And people wonder why he is called the Black Superman." he then looked at Icon "I didn't know that you landed here!" Icon looked at him and said "You never asked."

They flew down and since it was night, Static lit the way until they found the pod "Amazing that it is still in one piece!" Rocket said "No doubt" Static said adjusting his hat for a better view "We need to see if there are any people around who may know anything." Icon said "Rocket and I will go up north, Static you go south. Shoot a streak of lightning if you se anything or need us." Static nodded and was about to fly off but that was before he heard Rocket wisper "be careful" nodding in agreement, Static flew off a smile on his face.
