Description: New team, Same attitude!

Hey Everybody! I was wondering, I'm thinking about starting up a new Outsiders Story any takers?
It'll revolve around the new team and the plot shall come shortly (unless you uys have any ideas :D )

I was wondering about that. The only idea I have is the Fantasy one(where the heroes are trapped in a world meant to keep them happy as a distraction). But that could literally work for any team, so if you have an idea, go for it man.

we could do our own little 52 idea, or would that be too close to whats going on right now in the comics? I just recently picked up some issues of Outsiders to get a feel for the characters and I though it wouldn't hurt feed off whats out there already. I mean they went from OYL talking about that weird Dr. Sivana to what happened in that year. :umm: we could go with the whole scenario they left wide open about accepting Sivana's offer. I'm just throwing out random things here stop me if I go too far.

I like the Idea of them accepting Sivanna's offer (The little evil old man!) But it would seem wierd for Owen (Boomerang) to accept the idea of working with a villain when the very reason he became a hero was because he was betraed by villains.
I think that maybe we could do the Fantasy one, then the only person who can et them out of the world would be Sivanna or someone like Mxyplyk or something.

You know...while I've read those issues, I don't actually remember what the offer was. And I actually do have an idea of who would put them in the Fantasy world. But just so everyone can get into it I'd probably start if off with regular villain attack. As you both said, Sivanna could easily be tied into the story.

Well Sivana was going to make the human race a bunch of bumbling idiots; erasing their memories of how to work even the simplist bit of technology. Apparently the experiment he did on Australia was a success so he was ready to go global then slowly, for lots of money and power, teach humanity what they needed to know. Thus he could rule the world with an iron fist. He offered the Outsiders a place at his side to be his enforcers, so to speak. In his mind, I think Sivana thinks the world will be much better this way, a simpler, peaceful place. That's when Katana kicked his egotistical ass, and he blew up his nuclear reactor while escaping.
And I wasn't too keen on the idea of them accepting Sivana's offer, merely that it is still on the table and it's a very generous offer.
Anywho, what would go on in this fantasy world of yours? Will it be anything like the Queen of Fables or mre like Elseworlds or something?

Aaah, I remember now. And basically it'd be(for the Outsiders anyway) like reality shifted and whatever they'd want would be right there, example, Doomsboy would wake up surrounded by girls and he'd be able to get drunk if he wanted to. Stuff to that effect and things would conveniently happen if you began to question your "happiness" or the reality in general...like getting a call that you won the lottery or something. I'm tempted to have the world be mostly peaceful with only the occasional really sucky villain so that those who'd want to retire if everything was peaceful could and those who'd want to do it anyway could as well.

ah so, how would our hero's get out of this and would it be like they were in a virtual world or one made of magic? would they do anything blatantly obvious, for an example, Shockwave's fantasy world would be one where the second big bang didn't happen, her mom would still be alive and she would be your average college student. But subconsciously she'd know something was wrong she just didn't know what?
Marx - April 28, 2007 01:00 PM (GMT)
It would be one made of magic. And yeah, subconsciously the Outsiders might know something's up but they'd probably ignore it for the most part being so happy and everything. At first anyway. As for how they'd get out of everything, that's a surprise. Oh one more thing while I'm remembering, just in case, it would be almost impossible to remember something that wasn't a good memory while they were in that world.

I like it! Just so long as we get this started I'm all for it!!!

Cool cool, I'll try to start it tomorrow.

Did this not actually happen in the real world?

Hm...well...let's just say at least part of it did if Sivanna's going to be involved in this story. Since this Outsider's never "died" and whatnot, we'll just say he did stupify a city in Australia and made the offer to the Outsiders(which actually would make sense considering a couple of the members are kind of immoral to begin with).
